What Cyberpunk DeadBoy Means and What it's Potentially Foreshadowing (aka very complicated analysis that makes a lot of sense and could happen depending on how colorpalet is feeling while writing the story)

Now I'm seeing so many people like running around wondering what this event could mean for the future for multiple reasons and like I've made like one post throwing my hat into the ring.

I've been frustrated with people's unwillingness to realise that this comm is prob foreshadowing because this is not the first time Colorpalet has hidden foreshadowing into comms weither subtely or not

Exemple's being :

-Akito's second comm foreshadowing his third event

-Lower's cover art literally foreshadowing what would happen to Mafuyu's phone in her event

-88 vocals being emurui and nenekasa foreshadowing the kind of dynamic the disbandement arc had with nenekasa wanting to move forward with emurui being scared of isolation

-Probably way better exemples that I forgot

I've seen people make Some assumptions which I don't agree with but there is one thing I think is true

There is 100 pourcent gonna be struggle between corporation/reality and WxS.

Purely because that's been WxS's entire theme since the beginning. They constantly bash you over the head with the theme of compromising with reality and the importance of dreams. In fact the pick of Maiki-P is not at all surprising as he basically has the same message WxS has just... well harsher.

The Big thing people have ignored however is by focusing on the lyrics, they've ignored something that's personally to me even more telling and that's the line distribution

We know for a fact colorpalet loves to mess around with line distribution, weither it's to make characters say lines that fit them or to kind of foreshadow their headspace.

Now something Big happens with the line distribution of Cyberpunk Deadboy that i've seen NO ONE notice and that's in the last chorus (that and also Tsukasa's lines which people have pointed out but it works less on it's own which is why I'm gonna analyse his lines afterwards).

This is the only time the chorus is like that, the others have a much more even distribution.

In fact the distribution choice makes it look like the rest of WxS is Talking to Rui.

It's even more evident considering the lines they chose to make WxS sing compared to only just Rui

Which honestly makes me think this is colorpalet foreshadowing some kind of issue reguarding specifically Rui. Remember Emu's second event ? The story of Rilley whose imagination was crippled by the industry to the point where he didn't really have any artistic vision until Emu's grandpa helped him.

In fact remember how the flashback that showcases that has Rilley working on a film

Now we get to Tsukasa's line which have been pointed out to be kind of sus but it's not just his lines.

Tsukasa refuses to sing with Rui (unless it's a line they all sing together but i consider those exceptions). In fact pretty much everyone has a duo line with each other except those two.

In fact in the section where Rui has duo lines with everybody, Tsukasa is the only one he doesnt sing with and the visuals make it clear that it's something that we're supposed to find strange

And then we of course have Tsukasa's solo lines

Tsukasa is the only one that say "fuzakeruna" outside of Rui (of course ignoring entire group WxS lines) and i've seen some people pointed out how it sounds like he's saying it in response to Rui's lines. Which I agree with.

Then we got his big boy solo lines

These lines will make more sense with my theory/analysis but right now if we go with the idea that WxS in the last chorus were speaking to Rui and Tsukasa in this comm refuses to sing with Rui then this implies those lines are Tsukasa speaking to Rui.

And this is where the insanity begins because people have pointed out a concerning trend with Ruikasa that I know some people use for shipping fuel but for me kinda feels more so like foreshadowing.

IGNORING all the ARG ass weirdness of the Fixer 2dmv, this choice to switch Ruikasa's colors have to mean something in my opinion outside of just wholesome shipping influence especially considering the two songs they do this are less than jovial.

What this kind of color switching signifies to me is that, Ruikasa somehow are/or will switch places.

And with that let me bring back Tsukasa's lines

These lines stand out because Tsukasa before remembering his dreams was extremely shallow only doing things for fame and probably the money that would come with it.

Now if you think about everything I've layed out I think you can gain a pretty clear picture.

Of Rui falling into the trap Rilley did, becoming jaded and losing the true motivation of his dream (or at least starting to have doubts). Becoming stuck with the struggle of managing dreams and reality.

Rui's costume even has a mask which can be a metaphor for his artistic voice and individuality being silenced .

Which now you get into the line distribution where WxS is implied to be talking to Rui.

And you get to Tsukasa, who is refusing to sing with Rui and in fact seems to be arguing with Rui if we really want to overthink it. In fact almost switching their roles from the main story.

Because Tsukasa has grown now and how else to show that growth than to switch Rui and Tsukasa's perspectives/roles.

Now how this would happen really depends since there are multiple ways they can go about it with the time they have.

There is obviously mystery dude dude (who i know now is sakaki) who still gives me bad vibes. However there is actually two way they can make mystery dude trigger this sort of plot :

-Mystery dude is malicious and actively manipulates/confronts Rui to make him rethink his worldview

-Mystery dude isn't malicious but instead is just jaded/has been through a lot of industry bullshit which ends up rubbing off on Rui accidentally

But you can even just not have mystery dude involved with this at all (which i doubt but still) because you know what loose plotpoint is still lingering over WxS, fucking Asahi

Rui still has not talked about Asahi to WxS, in fact Curtain Call ends on an explicit cliffhanger which is never really emotionally concluded (at least in Rui's own events, technically the arc ender did but there are still a lot of loose threads from that arc). Why would Colorpalet make Asahi come back after Rui graduates, they could've just had him disappear into the sunset but instead they hint at his potential comeback.

Unless Rui will be forced to again confront similar feelings he did during Curtain Call this time with possibly an added layer of whatever happens during WxS's freelance arc.

Anyways yeah this is overly complicated but then again colorpalet is not being easy with us so...yeah.

And the music sheets. Maybe the reason why they sound so painful is because it represents the problems the 4 members face through?

There's also an MP3 player where a boy was practicing. Maybe that was Papyrus? "I bet this boy is a hard worker." "I can hear his frustration and impatience from the way he sings..." Hm? Maybe Papyrus was really putting his emotions into this recording, but it doesn't seem enough. Despite the hard work, he always messes up, and he always has to try again, and again, and again. But still, somehow, he never gives up. Until he finally did.

And the wooden box, oh boy. Maybe it was the 4 members' emotions put into one? Papyrus's shallow hopefulness, Asriel's sad nostalgia, Frisk's unsure creativity, and Chara's pure paranoia, all in one box?

All these feelings hidden away because they all feel too stressed of choosing their own future?

"Was it because you didn't want anyone to know? Was it because you couldn't tell anyone about it? Or... Was it so painful that you couldn't take it anymore and had to give up?" Maybe it meant Papyrus either didn't want Sans or the others to know, he couldn't tell anyone about it, or he had to give up at that point (And that could explain the others too)... Or was it because he was weighed down by someone? Who knows

And at that point, the SEKAI is now erased. Maybe Papyrus and the others... Really didn't want to remember those terrible memories that they built together. Maybe they finally let go of their... "Mistake", or as they would call it.

Maybe that was in the past? Maybe... All of that was resonated into the Empty SEKAI, the one that belongs to Mafuyu?

Maybe that explains why the SEKAI has one to no emotion put to it at all!! Maybe because Asriel misses his place at home, Frisk and Chara wanted to do their own things on their own, and maybe Papyrus is the only one who truly cared about the SEKAI, but is too weighed down to admit it?

Okay this is getting too serious for a crack theory iGNORE THESE PARTS LETS JUST JUMP INTO COLCUSSY NOW + I DONT THINK THESE GUYS WOULD GIVE UP AND BE THAT EMOTIONAL SO QUICKLY BUT SHUT UP

Mew has speculation about the new VBS cards teehee

just what it says on the tin after some discussion in a few Discord servers I have some speculation on what this next VBS focus event could be about and what could happen here

(SPOILERS POTENTIALLY, ALSO CARD LEAKS and also me freaking out about the Toya card)

So if y’all didn’t know. I am all in on the Nagi is dead theory. I’ve been on it for a while and these card leaks are proving it for me I think.

but anyway this post isn’t about me giving my case statement about the Nagi is dead theory

So. Potential event plotline. Running with the Nagi is dead theory, either at the start or the first third of the event story the kids find this out. Kohane and Toya are sad because one of the original participants of RAD WEEKEND is dead, Akito is that but even more so because he was actually there for RAD WEEKEND, and An is crushed because she actually KNEW Nagi.

Not that An’s gonna show it at first. In fact, it at first seems to drive her more, giving her more motivation to surpass RAD WEEKEND to honour her legacy. Which is what I think leads to this card.

So this is probably a bit of a leap but it looks like Rin and Len are very much putting on their smiles here I mean putting this card next to all the other leaked cards they look REALLY out of place, so that’s the best explanation I can give atm So maybe while Meiko is being sensible and saying “aha maybe take a break for a bit before throwing yourselves into beating RAD WEEKEND” these two goofballs are like “nah nah bro you can totally honour Nagi’s legacy if you try, you can do it!!”

So An rallies the rest of VBS and they get to work! ...A lot of work.

so Idk about everyone else but Toya and Kohane look almost tired in this card. And Akito is ✨dramatically kneeling✨ so something is probably going on there, right?

Here’s my thought. After finding out Nagi is dead, An rallies the rest of VBS together and they throw themselves back into beating RAD WEEKEND. Which isn’t really a good idea just after finding out that someone is dead. And Akito realises “fuck this isn’t working”, leading to his card.

But An and potentially also Toya insist that no, they have to keep going with this. What’s gonna happen to Nagi’s legacy if they stop? They have to keep going, no matter what.

TOYA WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING YOU ARE GOING TO DIE WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS WHAT

Leading to Toya attempting to battle Taiga in an attempt to prove his worth to him. This is what solidifies the “VBS are diving headfirst into beating RAD WEEKEND” thought for me, as. Uh. We saw what happened when Arata challenged Taiga, Toya Ily but he is going to wipe the floor with you.

After either a close battle or Toya getting his ass handed to him, I feel like Taiga is gonna be the person who gets VBS to stop and take a moment to breathe. So he’ll probably say something along the lines of: “...Okay. Kids, I like your fire. Challenging me directly takes a lot of guts Aoyagi, I admire that. But you evidently need time. You’re upset. I get it. But diving headfirst into practice after finding out isn’t gonna do you kids any good. So take some time. You need it.”

so they decide to take Taiga’s advice and have a moment to process. Leading to.

...Ow.

So An is able to admit that yes, the news about Nagi DID mess her up. The person she looked up to has been dead for a while and she had no idea. But that doesn’t mean she’s gonna give up.

Sure, the kids need time. But they’re gonna be okay.

...Okay speculation done I’m probably gonna be horribly wrong about all of this, like watch the event come out and Nagi not actually be dead lmao but Idc, these are just my thoughts after seeing the cards and going by what we know from previous events.

KANA5 CARD SYMBOLISM (SPOILERS!!)

The PJSK cards tend to be very metaphorical.

Kanade's balloon is supposed to represent Mafuyu. However, the string of the balloon is tied so tightly around her fingers to the point where it resembles the scars of cutting oneself.

Kanade is hurting herself to protect Mafuyu. She's doing the same thing Mafuyu did: disregarding her own health for the sake of others.

This is only the rising action of Kanade's arc.

Random Tsukasa Thoughts

I think about how "hungry" Tsukasa is. By hungry in a way that he wants to learn more and he wants to overcome more obstacles. It can be seen in Tsukasa's songs.

In Mr. Showtime, it says that the more Tsukasa waste time, the more he "hungers" for the things he can't handle.

In Seibai ItaAAAAAsu!, it's more focus on hungry over the foods. Tsukasa tried to focus on his job but he also get's distracted by the foods too.

As for Filament Fever, they don't have it, but in the original mv, it shows the "Mom I'm hungry" and "Mom I'm starving" text in the mv.

So like Tsukasa has the hunger thing where when he overcomes one obstacles, he wants to overcome another and another until he can reach his dream.

I'm really scared about the fact that Rui will graduate next year (in project sekai time) because I 100 pourcent think the idea of leaving the highschool friends he literally recently just made and everyone else in kamikou would definitely make him emotional.

And also there is definitely a bad association between graduating/changing periods in his life and losing people he was close to

Ena5 Theory 😭

So we can see that there are plants to the left side buuuuutttt

The images of the rooftop they are at prior to this event don’t show any plants.

I kept thinking about this and then I remembered that Rui is part of the gardening club.

Rui probably tried to reach out to Mizuki to make sure she was okay after coming out and when she didn’t responded he got worried.

Perhaps Ena visited Kamiyaka High afterschool to try to see if she could find Mizuki, or any hints to where she is. But instead of finding Mizuki, Ena finds Rui and he asks where Mizuki is. I imagine a conversation between the two with Ena being suspicious of Rui after The Incident because she can’t deal with anyone making fun of her friend that has disappeared. But Rui says something about knowing she was supposed to say something but she won’t respond to any texts on his phone and he can’t find her anywhere. Ena notices that Rui is genuinely concerned and tells him that she can’t find Mizuki anywhere and that something bad happened when she tried to talk to her. But Ena doesn’t go into too much detail to respect Mizuki’s privacy. (Something like that)

After Ena leaves Rui knows that Mizuki often comes up to the rooftop, and he can deduct that’s probably where something bad happened. Maybe Rui planted those plants as a silent reminder that people do care about Mizuki, just in case she came back up to the rooftop.

Random fandom theory

You guys know how on Project Sekai/Colorful Stage, the dream from Vivid Bad Squad is to put up an event that surpasses Rad Weekend?

My strongest theory is that the only way that VBS will be able to do it, is by having every other band from the game participate in it.

Like, imagine a Rad Weekend created with the amazing stage design and direction from Rui and Nene from Wonderlands x Showtime, super energetic performances by actual industry "pros" like Leo/Need and MORE!MORE!JUMP, with original songs for all groups created by N25's Mafuyu/Kanade with the flyers and promo designed by Ena, and costuming by Mizuki... That would literally surpass Rad Weekend by miles.

And honestly, I know this is pure fanfiction and meta-analysis on my part and not based on any canon indications, because something I've noticed in most of the story events, and forgive me if this is already ✨a thing✨ in the fandom, is that most of the event stories have an element of subtly showing how all bands are interconnected.

Like Haruka being An's best friend/helping Kohane and Toya with the chocolate brand sponsorship event for Valentine's Day, or the pairs of siblings (Saki/Tsukasa, Shizuku/Shiho), or Kohane being school friends with Minori, Emu from Wonderland x Showtime being in the same class as Shiho from Leo/Need, etc.

Note: Other than Honami being the housekeeper for Kanade (and Mafuyu by extension), I honestly can't see N25 factoring in much within my theory but I'm open to suggestions plz

But idk, in my mind I think that eventually we'll get a random stage event where all bands are involved in the creation/formation of this massive VBS event where, idk, for example, An talks about her dream with Haruka, Haruka tells the MMJ girlies during a live stream (or Kohane talks about VBS' dream with Minori) and Minori, being the ever-helpful sweetheart she always is, says that she'd love to help! And convinces MMJ to participate and bring their fans to the event.

Then Shizuku tells Shiho that it might be fun for Leo/Need to participate and of course she needs to consult with leader Honami first, so she says yes because of course, that would be a great opportunity to show the record label that Leo/Need can handle large concerts or festival crowds, so it would be great practice!

And of course little firecracker Saki cannot wait to tell her big brother firecracker Tsukasa about this awesome event that some people are planning and how Leo/Need will participate, so he starts imagining how the set design and staging of such an event would need to be, and of course he tells his Chaos twin Rui and they both decide to check it out, which makes Emu super excited, and they all end up roping poor Nene into this, who honestly wonders how being the MC for such an event would be so nerve-wracking, and of course Tsukasa LOVES that idea so they volunteer to be the masters of ceremonies and he brings this up to Toya, who OF COURSE would never say no to anything that his "savior" asks for!

So although Akito fucking hates Rui and Tsukasa for being weird, he can spot talent from miles away and he agrees to coordinate the staging of the event with them and Shiraishi (though he keeps making fun of them for being weird).

And so, in the weeks before the event the VBS crew is still worried about the costumes and promos but in the meantime, while housekeeping, Leo/Need's leader Honami listens to a song by N25 while Kanade is composing or something and she brings up the idea of creating songs for the bands that will be on the event, as a way for Kanade to leave the creative block that she's been having for quite a few N25 story events, and maybe getting some help from Mafuyu in those compositions would cheer her up and show that music can be healing and that they can both get out of their comfort zone and compose for different types of musicians, and of course when Ena and Mizuki hear about this they start thinking that N25 participating in the event would be an amazing way to cheer Mafuyu up, and idk, I think this would be such a sweet thing for Project Sekai.

Of course I'm yet to see how the upcoming movie release will fit into all this but idk, what do you guys think?
