Hey! If this is presumptuous that's totally fine and you can ignore it, but I saw you mentioning building a website and I wanted to offer any help if you might want it.
I used to work as web developer, left (read: economy sucks and everyone got laid off) to start working on comics with my partner, but we needed a website for that and lo and behold, industry skills came in handy. So I'm more than happy to field questions or help you get started if you don't have another resource!
We use neocities for our comic site & my wife's portfolio site. It's free, literally costs nothing, they've been around for a while which is also reassuring in this era. You can pay $5/mo if you want to get a little more storage space and use your own custom domain, but if you're just using it as an art site/portfolio, then the storage space they offer should be completely fine.
Note: it is *not* a website builder, to use neocities you need to code your own web page using html, which truly isn't as scary as it sounds! w3schools.com is a great resource for learning or referencing html & how to make it look pretty, I used it to teach myself how to do this and managed to eventually land a couple actual tech jobs, so I'm a big fan of it for newcomers.
Anyway, whichever you choose, I think a website is a great idea as an archive, and way more reliable than... well. All of these social media platforms that feel.... impermanent, to say the least ( ´-`)
Oh, and one more thing!! Part of why we chose neocities instead of like... bluehost or other hosting sites (which we had been using before): neocities allows NSFW :)
Ah yes I've been looking at neocities! It seems great, I'm just not very... code minded... It would be something I would need to sit down and learn and I just haven't had the time for that lately. One day soon, perhaps, as certain projects are winding down.
Thank you, I appreciate the thought!

heyyy, somehow gained many new followers recently. thank you very much for enjoying my work! in light of that, let's do a small introduction.
i'm Seosamh Dáire, or you can call me joe. he/him • sé/é only. transsexual butch man and leatherdyke ✦ fear tras/aiteach agus gearrán 🐗
Tumblr media
i'm a painter, comic author-illustrator, web/html artist, petty designer, smalltime archivist, passionate marxist. i like anime and virtual pets both from ~1990. as someone working primarily with past decades, i'm interested in broadening our ideas of time/place and who was in it. pro-palestine, native rights and strong proponent/student of irish-native solidarity, blm, roma, the works (uninterested in debating these topics!)
i make trans gay art for perverts and i was recently an artist in residence in the Burren, focusing on traditional paintings and reflecting/writing on being Queer In The Land.
SUPERPOSE: the tremendous dark trans sci-fi comic i make with my life+work partner Anka @kingfisher-cove . take a look! this project is my whole LIFE, and almost every piece i make pertains to it, so if you're unsure of who or what my images are of, that's a safe bet. the comic is recommended for mature readers. here's a brief synopsis,
An ongoing queer sci-fi horror comic about physics.
On the Atlantic coast, in a town called PORT CITY— “a place out of time”
While a tourist destination boasting a popular beach and boardwalk, Port City is also home to ROMAN LABS, an aerospace-turned-tech company now floundering in the tech boom.
Rafael and Royal are each listless in their own lives as longtime locals with little mobility, whose orbits have only occasionally overlapped, until now. Turning a job at the lab into a last-ditch effort for a glimpse of a more equitable future brings Royal and Rafael together, and beaches Kas, a young physicist, on Port City’s shores.
Together they seize the opportunity to alter their future and carve out a place in time for themselves, finally shaking the town and their lives from standstill. Changing history begins with the machine.
(also a supplementary web art/ARG aspect, using flat digital spaces to create a sense of 3d depth and narrative.)
SUPERPOSEBLOG @superposeblog is the repository for all updates and news about the comic.
198X.LOVE our homepage & portfolio
PATREON is where i share most of my work first, early comic pages, WIP, process and thoughts and other resources. it's a direct way to support mine & my partner's work. we are an independent team of two and i'm sure you can appreciate the effort and dedication to managing our practise as well as life obligations. for one-time support, there's also ko-fi. thank you!
i've also begun a new, as of yet unnamed 18+ comic about trans disposability/sapped as a resource + weird blood + nuclear war. so look out for that next year 😘

Tips for Landing Your First Entry-Level Developer Job | Resources ✨
Tumblr media
I saw a tweet by @reactive_dude on Twitter where he talked about tips for junior developers landing their first jobs and I thought I would share them here as well, it might help someone. I think these are handy, especially the projects and open-source tips. I also read through the comments and added some of the tips from there to the list. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Have an active LinkedIn account
Add as many recruiters to your LinkedIn network as you can
To add recruiters on LinkedIn: introduce yourself in 1-2 sentences, and say you're open for entry-level jobs, there is no need to overthink this step
Most recruiters will accept your network request even without reading your message
Build 1-2 strong projects where you use/build CRUD APIs - For example a real-time chat app, an app with auth where you can log in and manage recipes/notes/tasks/whatever...
If you're a front-end dev, there are a lot of free APIs available, you can make use of these and build client apps
Make it easy to check your projects and code
This means open source on GitHub and one-click access to your project (without a complicated login/registration process)
Make a huge effort to make your resume as polished and professional as possible.
Build a portfolio website
Apply to as many jobs as possible, as soon as they're listed
Don't feel bad about rejections or if you're not getting any responses
Contribute to open source/build your own projects in public daily
More than building CRUD projects, you should show off your contribution to open-source. Whether it's a small package or a utility website for a framework that they use - stuff like that stands out more than another Student Management System.
Don't shoot too high, apply with local companies
Fully remote international companies usually hire only experience developers
Network with developers who can help you get hired in their company
If possible, attend local meetups/conferences/events to network with other devs
Share your progress and projects online!

If you are a professional seamstress, do you have your own sewing room? How do you organize your sewing stuff? Asking cuz my closet is a mess and sewing stuff takes up more room than my clothes XD.
alright so! I've been putting this off because the sewing area was disorganized but I finally managed to just move the few things back into place that really needed it.
Tumblr media
Firstwe have the fabric shelf, I have it organized by hand (the way the fabric feels when you touch it) though before I start any project if I'm unsure of the fiber content I do a burn test and then wash all the fabric the way I plan to wash it once completed in order to pre shrink it and see how it will react to washing (if it's dry clean only fabric I skip this)
There are about 14 rolls of fabric on the sides where I was able to aquire in bulk! (Seeing them makes me happy)
Tumblr media
Here are the large majority of my patterns, I have the boxes labeled with what kinds of patterns are inside
Tumblr media
Then I further break down what kind of patterns there are based on what kind of project I may want to do, and sizes after the nth time pulling out the right dress but wrong size for a project.
Tumblr media
here we have my little resource shelf, on the left are reference books and videos while the right are portfolios and samples I've made as reminders to look at
While on the bottom we have my thread and bobbing case and a bin full of sharps (be careful sticking your hand in there, that where the scissors and pins live)
Tumblr media
Getting a thread and bobin case is one of the best things I've done for my organization and I can't recommend it enough!
Tumblr media
Here's a current alteration project in the bins I use to keep all the things I need for one project together, it makes it a lot easier to keep track of this way!
Tumblr media
then I have some more little shelf boxes for notions! This one holds mostly bias tape and twill tape, with a couple other odds and ends that really need to be moved 😅
This is in no way comprehensive, but it's what I have in the basement of my parents house until i can get a place of my own, and I think I've done well in making things work well regardless!

Blum Memepad: Revolutionizing Token Launches and Community-Driven Growth
Tumblr media
If you’ve spent any time in the crypto or DeFi space, you’ll know how transformative blockchain technology has been. It’s like going from horse-drawn carriages to electric cars—an entirely new way of operating that’s faster, more efficient, and packed with potential. Yet, even in this advanced ecosystem, one challenge remains: how do we give new tokens and projects the attention and resources they need to thrive?
This question has been central to the growth of decentralized finance. Enter Blum Memepad, a platform that simplifies token launches and empowers communities to back the projects they believe in. Today, I want to share why Blum Memepad is a game-changer—not in abstract terms, but in a way that resonates with you as someone interested in the evolution of finance and crypto.
The Problem Blum Memepad Solves
Let’s start with a familiar analogy: launching a token in the crypto world is a lot like starting a small business in a bustling city. You might have an incredible product, but without visibility, support, and resources, you’ll struggle to make an impact. Traditionally, new tokens have faced the same hurdles. Developers needed significant funding, partnerships, or sheer luck to get noticed.
Blum Memepad flips the script. It acts like a decentralized “Shark Tank” where the community, rather than a few gatekeepers, decides which tokens deserve to succeed. This isn’t just empowering for developers; it’s transformative for investors, who now have a say in shaping the crypto landscape.
How Blum Memepad Works
Imagine you’re a developer with a groundbreaking idea for a token. On Blum Memepad, you can present your project directly to the community. Here’s how it works:
1. Developers create and launch their tokens on the platform.
2. The community evaluates the project and decides whether to back it by contributing TON tokens (the native currency of the TON blockchain).
3. If the project secures 1,500 TON, it automatically gets listed on STON.fi, a leading decentralized exchange (DEX).
It’s that simple. No need for endless meetings with potential investors or navigating complicated listing processes. With Blum Memepad, your token’s success depends on the merit of your idea and the trust of the community.
For traders and investors, this system is equally rewarding. It’s like being an early investor in a startup—you get in on the ground floor, where the potential for growth is highest. But, as with all investments, it’s crucial to do your due diligence and diversify your portfolio to manage risks.
Why Meme Coins
Now, let’s address a common question: why focus on meme coins? After all, aren’t they just jokes that trend for a while before disappearing?
Not quite. Meme coins are a fascinating case study in community power. Unlike traditional assets, whose value often hinges on complex fundamentals, meme coins derive their worth from the people who rally behind them. It’s not so different from art—sometimes, the value of a painting lies not in its materials but in the emotions it evokes and the community it inspires.
Blum Memepad recognizes this potential. By providing a structured launchpad for meme coins, it gives these tokens the visibility and legitimacy they need to succeed while ensuring that the process is transparent and community-driven.
Blum Memepad and the TON Ecosystem
One of the most exciting aspects of Blum Memepad is its integration with the TON blockchain, an ecosystem designed for speed, scalability, and security. Every token launched on Blum Memepad contributes to the growth and vibrancy of TON, creating a cycle of innovation and opportunity.
Think of TON as a thriving marketplace where Blum Memepad acts as a dynamic new stall. Each token launched not only adds to the variety of offerings but also attracts more traders, developers, and investors, making the entire ecosystem more robust.
Why This Matters to You
If you’re a developer, Blum Memepad offers an unprecedented opportunity to launch your token without the traditional barriers of cost, connections, or gatekeeping. It’s like being given a stage at the world’s largest expo, where all you need is a compelling idea and the courage to present it.
For traders and investors, Blum Memepad is a treasure chest of opportunities. By participating in token launches, you’re not just buying assets—you’re investing in ideas, supporting innovation, and helping shape the future of decentralized finance.
Blum Memepad in Action
Over the past month, Blum Memepad has already attracted more than 34 million users, with participants completing tasks and accumulating Blum Points. These points will soon play a significant role in the platform, adding another layer of engagement and reward.
This success isn’t just numbers—it’s proof of concept. It shows that the crypto community is ready for a platform that prioritizes transparency, accessibility, and community-driven growth.
The Bigger Picture
Blum Memepad is more than just a launchpad; it’s a symbol of what decentralized finance can achieve when innovation meets community trust. It embodies the principles that have made blockchain technology so revolutionary: transparency, inclusivity, and the power of the collective.
As someone passionate about the crypto space, I see Blum Memepad as a beacon for what’s possible. It simplifies the complex, democratizes the exclusive, and makes the future of finance accessible to everyone. Whether you’re a developer with a vision or an investor with a keen eye for potential, Blum Memepad offers a platform where your efforts can truly make a difference.
Final Thoughts
The world of crypto and blockchain is evolving rapidly, and staying ahead means embracing platforms like Blum Memepad that challenge the status quo. It’s not just about launching tokens; it’s about building an ecosystem where ideas can thrive, communities can grow, and innovation can flourish.
If you’re ready to be part of this revolution, now is the time to explore Blum Memepad. Not just as a platform, but as a movement toward a more decentralized and community-driven financial future.

Hi love! Well, I'm nearly 25 now (Leo baby here, lol) and have been self-employed since around 21/22 full-time. I would say the main factors at play are a combination of starting my career as early as possible (first real internship in the fashion industry at almost 16 and starting freelancing at around 19), earning a full scholarship to a top private university, and freelancing throughout college allowed me to have a lot of time and freedom to work on my skills, build my networks/portfolio, etc. (I'm not going to discount all of the privileges and resources I've had working in my favor, including the ability to begin my postgrad life with zero debts, that would be disingenuous, for certain).
In terms of career advice, I would say here are some of my most important tips:
Figure out where your skills and passions align. Then determine the lifestyle/work culture you thrive in and what sacrifices you're willing to make in your chosen career path (for some, it's always traveling/talking to people 24/7, working late hours, unpredictable/unconventional hours, potentially lower pay/less predictable income, etc.). It truly depends on your top values, your personality, and your goals/priorities in life.
First focus on getting incredibly talented at your craft. Find a mentor(s) who will push you with their feedback/suggestions. Take classes/skills courses/read books & articles to gain more applicable knowledge/hard skills. Join clubs, apply to internships, volunteer, and request informational interviews in your desired field.
Make your skills marketable. Create a professional resume and/or neat portfolio/collection of work samples. Discover and articulate your USP (that should essentially serve as the backbone of your elevator pitch). Frame your skills through a customer/business-centric lens. How does your experience/skillset solve their problems and help a company/client achieve their goals?
Build a network for yourself. Don't be shy to reach out to companies/individuals who inspire you. Speak with your secondary school teachers and professors for connections. Create peer-to-peer networks, too, so you can grow together. Be a fearless networker and connector. Help others, do favors, and make the person glad they met/hired you. Make it your objective to be memorable through your work ethic/providing high-quality work products and showing up with a motivated & overall positive attitude allows people to like and trust you with their time, clients, money, etc.
Master the art of a killer email/cold pitch. Especially in today's world, learning how to sell yourself through intriguing emails/LinkedIn messages is the key to unlocking potential success. One client or opportunity can create momentum that will be useful years down the line, too.
When in doubt, follow up – on an email, pitch, job opportunity, connection, etc.
Be ruthless and relentless with your research. For new contacts, connections, opportunities, and information to support your pitches/job interviews/networking conversations, new technologies, and trends within your field. Read everything credible you can get your hands on. Display working knowledge and practical applications of these concepts and how they can benefit the person in front of you/their business.
Create systems. For how you structure emails/pitches, conduct research, different types of workflows/ work template structures for different types of projects, time-blocking, client funnels, etc.
Get comfortable with rejection. Use it as a primer for self-reflection and refining your craft/processes or help you pivot your approach to help you achieve your goals. Never take business decisions on behalf of a company personally (and vice versa).
Give yourself breaks, but don't give up. Tapping out for good is the only surefire way to fail at an endeavor. Be flexible in your path, but zeroed in on your goal(s). Learn when to quit or pivot, and when it's time to coast or seek growth.
Hope this helps xx
