QUICK NO ONE'S LOOKING

Anyone else up thinking about Ratio's big, strong, secure arms and how warm and all-consuming they could be in a hug or embrace. :/ Anyway

I just wanted to draw them being cute and seizing a sliver of a moment where they could have some PDA silly time without actually having any eyes on them. They're public figures and working adults with very clear boundaries between public persona and private life (to varying degrees of "in a sad way"), so while it may be in Aventurine's nature to constantly blur lines for various agendas and self-preservation (read: play "the flirt" without an aligned goal), I believe that in an actual relationship they'd be fairly private.

It's kind of fun to break your own rules, though! Ratio would be more upset about the consequences, though. He's a little bit of a hypocrite, which is devastating for someone of such discipline, but nobody's perfect.

I'm of the mentality of, "If you're tired of working on it, then just post it!", so here are some fun peripherals that I didn't feel like adding:

Some staff in the background sweeping up to evoke a blended sense of fragile privacy and liminal time.

A laptop on the aquarium/bar/counter because there's something fascinating about seeing people on their work laptops in public.

whyy are concerts so expensive and not close to me ಠ╭╮ಠ

#i talk #fuckn..montreux jazz festival with the best lineup but theres only two bands per concert and each costs over 100 #i could get there easily by train but the hotels are all booked #man if they had day passes to see several bands..air/soft cell/duran duran/kraftwerk/smashing pumpkins all on different dates..#absolutely not spending 500 for that excluding train and hotel #plus air is playing an openair festival next to where i work and they start 30mins after my shift on sunday #so i think ill just stand outside and listen lmao probably cant see inside though #alsoo the chameleons are doing a tour and its probably my only chance to see them and theyre like my fave rn #closest theyre doing is munich but like i have a direct train that takes 3.5 hours #i rly wanna do it but ill also need a place to stay overnight and idk how much i can trust se deutsche bahn or flixbus #and also its like 2 days before oktoberfest starts. im really hoping to avoid that esp munich #frankfurt might also be an option hmmm #i was thinking about literally going on a short trip to brighton to see them in august but idk if thats too much #would be more expensive too and id have to take a plane #ahh this is hard and i make it much harder by overthinking everything #ive never been to a concert in another country no idea how different/same it is

May be insane and see a 11:15 AM screening of Longlegs and then a 3:00 PM screening of Princess Mononoke tomorrow at the closest AMC theatre so I don't have to make two trips in one weekend...

#hsr #honkai star rail #hsr 2.2 #hsr spoilers #hsr leaks #the body of this post reads as far less enthusiastic than i really am #i just don’t know how to casually return from my latest 2 week hiatus only to gush abt a game i’ve hardly blogged abt before #but i’m not making a whole ass sideblog for it like i did for Genshin. nah y’all r gonna bear witness to my fixation with this one #so anyways don’t mind me. vibrating into another dimension with anticipation for the next 11 days #it’s insane man. a year ago i Never ever woulda thought i’d be so invested in this game. and it took Months for the game to really grab me #but i’m v glad i kept coming back even when i was struggling to really get into it. like i just had this feeling that if i stuck around and #gave the game a chance to really like. come into its stride. i just always felt like there was Something there and i just hadn’t found it #and holy shit i finally found it in Penacony. the devs really truly outdid themselves with this region and these characters and this story #not to discount everything that’s happened prior. like i was genuinely Liking it all before now but i wasn’t Loving it y’know #but that may be more a ‘me having to fight tooth n’ nail to force myself to consume new media’ thing than it is a matter of the actual game #anyways i came here to talk abt the program! bc since i’m not filming my HSR stuff i’m gonna be insufferable abt it on Tumblr instead ! :)#and i’m probably not filming any more Genshin stuff. or anything else at all for that matter but let’s not talk abt that dead dream #pun not intended lmao. I'm being like astoundingly social lately. Starting from Thursday last week, I saw my girlfriend, then spent time with family on Friday, then saw my girlfriend again on Saturday + some of her friends, then watched a movie and drew stuff with friends on Sunday, then had a session 0 for new dnd on Monday, then watched anime with a friend on Tuesday. Off day on Wednesday. Then on THURSDAY I hung out with my girlfriend, had a study session with friend group (with mixed success at the studying part), AND watched anime with a friend again. And then today, watched a different anime with a different friend.

And TOMORROW I'm going to a concert with family and a friend, Sunday I'm hanging out with my girlfriend, then Monday I've got dnd thing again (probably? Need to double check). And then potentially more hangouts to come.

It's insane. What is this new social me. I don't think I've ever hung out with this many different people in such a short time before.

#speculation nation #it's fun though i probably will need to slow down a bit to not tire myself out bfkshfkd #the concert and the family thing last weekend are not normal occurences at least.#the movie and the study group were both from my discord server. tho with mostly different sets of people.#i think im at like... in just the past week ive hung out with... well...#3 on friday (plus saying hi to others at the temple but i dont rly spend time with them)#7 on saturday... i think it was like.. six? on sunday? i think. then Uhhhh #4 on monday. i think. 1 on tuesday. thursday had 3 new with 3 repeats from earlier in the week #and today was another person i hung out with earlier in the week #which puts me at TWENTY FOUR....... different people ive hung out with this week....holy shit....#granted on saturday 6 of them were my girlfriend's friends and im not very good at talking in a group irl #so i mostly talked to my girlfriend there. but even if U didnt count them that's still 18 people i hung out with #crazy. mind boggling. im a total introvert so this is like unprecedented.#I SWEAR I DONT NORMALLY COUNT PEOPLE LIKE THIS..... im just like. trying to put it into context for myself #and surprisingly i dont feel That exhausted by it... it helps that only 3 of these days had in person interactions #bc thats more tiring to me than just talking online. physical space takes more energy to emote etc etc #i think this is good for me honestly. spending time with people. not just wasting my life away with video games. you know.#tho i do need to balance it with writing.. i havent written anything since i posted the itnl update #and i rly need to get that reverse bang fic finished....hmmmmmmmm #ah well. i'll try to get lots of writing done next week. next week for sure..!!
