Kanae's 100+ follower event (format based off of @theolivetree123's Welcome to Halloween Town event ^^) The Evil’s Theater, a small theater, in the Queendom of Roses, is hosting their first musical of Seven Sins and Punishments. Originally, the theater was created by a man known as the Collector, he only screened a single film. After he passed the theater fell into disarray, but luckily, it was brought back to life by some very generous donations. And now they have reached out to NRC to extend an invitation for its students to be the leads of their first musical! The lucky students will take on the roles of the Sinners in a fantastical story of life, death and rebirth. There will be seven students to fill the roles of the main Sinners, and a raffle to be held to pick the crucial role of the Servant, a hidden eighth Sinner. And the lead roles are… Superbia - Kanae (The Daughter) Invidia - Riddle (The Tailor) Ira - Jade (The Nemesis) Acedia - Epel (The Princess) Avaritia - Idia (The Judge) Gula - Deuce (The Eater) Luxuria - Silver (The Duke)

After the musical, there's going to be an after party, Waltz of the Departed. Feel free to partake in the snacks and drinks, dance or not to your hearts content. How you enjoy the party is up to you!

• Someone You Knew In Another Life by @spreta-invidia - My current obsession. I made this post just for this story! Time travel fix it fics are popular for a reason with the Dance characters but in my opinion this fic does it best. Told from different points of view, this story centers on Aegon III going back in time to tell his parents about the coming war and their own deaths! What follows is deliciously written political scheming, deep discussions of what parenthood means for Rhaenyra and Daemon, and a tender family story that brought tears to my eyes more than once.

Written like a fairy tale, this story would not feel out of place in an anthology of Valyrian legends.

Despite this series being only five chapters long, the Daemon/Rhaenyra love story feels earned at the end!

I don’t think I would even be writing fanfiction if I hadn’t read this series! And that’s because it so wonderfully balances the political intrigue we know so well from canon with a deeply satisfying love story that is all about family. In this canon divergent tale, Rhaenyra gets pregnant from a tryst with Daemon the night of the brothel (unbeknownst to them both). Basically a brief summary of how the Nether Kingdom works:

Demons are still looked down upon by many people from the Overworld, but that's mainly due to the many millenia of tyrannical demon rulers and the power they abused to instill fear into the people of the Overworld. Eventually, the Nether Kingdom became impoverished because of the corrupt governing, until IronMouse- a "lowly demon" stepped in to try to change things. A civil war ensued, but the rebellion led by Mouse, Bad, and Tina won and Mouse took the throne as the new Demon Queen.

She changed a lot of things including how long a ruler should stay in power, since technically, one crowned demon can rule forever. Mouse declared that demon rulers can stay in power for 1000 years maximum before they must eventually find a successor to take their place. Mouse's dynasty has just reached its 650th year when the story takes place. Ironmouse wants to establish peace with the people of the Overworld, and they mainly stay out of Overworld wars. That is, until the ancient conflict between demons and vampires arises and escalates once more...

I want to go over the vampires and Bagi's role, but I think that requires a separate post XD

In multiple events, it’s shown that one of Guy’s primary love languages and ways to show appreciation is giving gifts—whether to a significant other or friends.

Roy, conversely, often doesn’t know what he wants, or is hesitant to name anything, because he doesn’t want people to feel obligated to get him something.

So, imagine Roy is back at Colde with his MC. They’re celebrating their engagement. What does Guy get Roy? Everyone else is already buying Roy the exact same tea set 😂

Guy and Jasper seek Sherry for a recommendation. “I have something in mind Prince Guy,” Sherry exclaims. “But it’s rather extravagant.”

“Price is no concern of mine.” Guy waives his hand, dismissing Sherry’s comment.

Sherry goes to Guy and whispers in his ear. Guy’s eyes pop.

A few days later, Roy and MC are with Sherry, Grayson, most of the other princes and valets, and various professors and students in a grand Academy ballroom. People are eager to give their congratulations to the happy couple.

Despite the size of the crowd, Roy and MC are completely at ease. They both smile sincerely at everyone, with Roy wrapping a gentle arm around MC’s waist.

The crowd, while significant in size, does not include everyone from the Academy. In the distance, shrieking and excited giggles are heard on a balcony. On the balcony is an elegant tea party, hosted by Jasper and Guy. The tea party’s exclusive guests? Guy and Roy’s fan clubs.

Vagabond Queen Alya Cesaire rules over a band of roaming nomads that seek to establish connections, guided and blessed by the kwamis of Freedom and Connection, Kaalki and Fluff. Adventurous, self-assured, brave, and courageous, she aims to forge a bond with Marinette to bring their two kingdoms together.

King Felix Fathom is the ruling monarch of the kingdom of Love and Animosity, blessed by the kwamis Barkk and Orikko, and personally cursed by Libidine. Rude, intuitive, adaptive, and desperate for connection, Felix attends the Gala on Amelie's request to seek bonds that would last him a lifetime and win the heart of the belle of the ball.

King Gabriel Agreste is the ruling monarch of the kingdom of Creation and Destruction, blessed by the kwamis Plagg and Tikki, and personally cursed by Avaritia. Cold, calculating, harsh, dull, and ambitious, he aims to steal away the crown empress to further his own gains for his kingdom.

Ondine is an outcast of mysterious origin, blessed and cursed by kwamis. Bubbly, playful, cheerful, wounded, and set on a quest, she aims to earn more than Marinette's heart.

Rose Lavillant is the personal handmaiden to Marinette that sees to everything for her generous curse and deep-seeded love for Marinette. Eccentric, fiercely loyal, lovesick, and bubbly, she will keep Marinette safe and deter any and all suitors to keep Marinette all to herself.

Alix Kubdel is a wandering Knight-Errant, stopping by the empire's heart for work during the Diamond's Gala. She is contacted by royal consort, Tom Dupain-Cheng, and given the job to be Marinette's personal bodyguard, and to win her love to keep her safe from the other nobles that may seek to use Marinette. Bound by her diligence curse, she accepts the job and takes her place beside Marinette.

I’d say Tino is 5’7 just for the fact that I know he is hauling Lynt around. Although not impossible, Ik it’s hard as hell to lug someone around if they are taller than you. Limbs everywhere. I could be persuaded for taller just cause he seems like the type to hunch over and shrink into himself. Standing up straight is another story mayhaps for another time

Lynt Akedia

Baby boy. Lynt is 5'6-5'7. He said himself that he can't be bothered to eat. Sleep is not enough for a growing boy, my friends. Maybe its also just because he's always kind like babied by Tino too that makes me feel he's on the shorter side of the spectrum.

Knight is in the range of 5’4-5’6 for me. I think I’d go with probably 5’5 cause it’s the easy medium.

BIO.

the kingdom of rusalka is more of a fairytale now after centuries of its damnation, but once upon a time three hundred years ago a princess of the name of onora was born daughter to a just king and brilliant queen. a kingdom were the female line inherited the crown, she was born to rule one day once her parents grew old and she was ready.

her childhood was nothing out of the ordinary for someone born under a crown. there had been lessons from history to mathematics and science as well as etiquette, the arts and as boring subjects as needle point. and while expectations had been placed over her frail shoulders, she had been happy, her parents had dotted on her and her siblings. she remembers those days with fuzziness, but with a light that always puts her in a good mood.

but like every story worth telling, tragedy struck the once unwavering kingdom of rusalka, sickness came knocking on its gates, many were lost to the ancient rare deceased. the young prince had been amongst the first to go, the queen followed not long after, but the real blow came when it took their king. onora had been shy from fifteen as she inherited a crown and a crumbling kingdom with a baby sister that looked at her for guidance. the young queen had been determined, and while she try her best to remain focused and find a solution to the deceased, a more dangerous enemy lived right under her roof.

her mother older brother who had always resented the law of female inheritance within their kingdom decided to strike then as he saw the moment to eliminate the two girls that stood on his way to the throne. with a small group of supporters and in the middle of the night with the defenses of the castle weakened urmas took the new queen and the princess and sold them to the pirate king of the erythrian sea with the guarantee that they would never return to the continent and so taking the throne for himself.

the sisters were together for a fleeting moment, onora had tried her best to plea, pray and beg to allow them to remain together, but the pirates did not allowed them to. astara was the first to be sold off, onora had know little aside from the fact that she had gone to the mortal lands across the sea from her home. she had sworn to find her way back to her even if it was the last thing she did. but the pirates had the worst saved for her, for the young queen that barely was in request of her dearest uncle.

onora had not know how long or how far they had sailed, somewhere along the way she had gotten sick, she was not sure if it was the same that had ailed her people or if it was something else, but it weakened her greatly. when she found herself back on land, foreign soil, the pirates had sold her to a creature of the fae lands to serve as a servant. her sickness had remain, not truly getting worst but not getting better either, it had been so for many months as she worked hard to remain in the good graces of her masters. the creatures were not entirily awful to her, but they were terrifying to a human girl who had never dealt with the fae lands.

a year into her captivity she had learned very little of where she was, a neutral central location of the continent of prythia near the borders of the dawn court. she had barely manage to get a sense of her location when her sickness began to progress once more. as the weeks passed them the once youthful girl became withered, barely able to move. the creatures took pitty on her, a girl who regardless of her sickly frame had served them well and caused no trouble, they had heard of the caldron and whispers of the healing magic. unaware that the waters of the caldron would do more than simply heal her.

onora still remembers being lowered into the murky waters, even in her delusion of feverish reality she had known it was some ancient magic that swallowed her. even as it filled her lungs and she began to trash for air within, onora had felt it in her bones, that the girl who she had once been would no longer be. she had felt herself being torn to shreds only to be pieced back together, the fear of death by some ancient dark magic she did not understand had made her claw at the caldron, she would not allow it to take anything from her, no, too much had already been taken from her.

when she had been tossed out and onto the floor, air filling her lungs she had been disoriented, dizzy and confused, she did not understand what had happened to her, what the change in her was. simply that she no longer felt sick. the creatures began the journey back to their home, they eyed her wearily and she did not understand even then.

they had almost made it out of the dawn court borders when they had been spotted, the creatures confronted about the fae girl that traveled with them. the words had echoed in her mind, and while she seemed to get another piece of the endless puzzle her life had become, she was still lost, alone, and afraid. but when her eyes met that of julian caadlawon, she had allowed herself to hope for the first time since the loss of her parents. the young lord of the dawn court had become her savior, taking her away from the creatures and shielding her in the dawn court not as a servant but as a guest. she told him her story and he began to explain to her what had happened to her in and after the caldron. she knew then, she could never return to the mortal lands even if she wished it, there was no place for her there.

while the dawn court had welcomed her onora had known she could not stay there forever idle, a few months went on, her sixteen birthday came and went. onora had met a few other fae in her time there, but she had often gravitated towards the general of the armies who had began to teach her how to defend herself, the bond between them had been natural, a mentor and a studen, a father and a daugther. when general amedeo had introduced the young fae to his wife, invidia, the older fae had fallen in love with the gentle onora. the two began to spend time together, until the two ancient fae who had never been blessed with children had asked her if she would like to be their daughter. onora had been beyond moved, she had cried before the words had left her, and so she renounce her birth name forgetting about the queen of rusalka, and becoming lady onora cavalier of the dawn court.

the years of an immortal seemed to slipped fast and steadily, life began to have meaning again, and although with the hardship and weight of the past, she began to be happy again. to make a life for herself, eventually becoming the emissary and ambassador of the dawn court, creating a place for her in the world.

II. EXTRAS & OTHER THINGS

onora forced herself to swim even when the waters reminded her of the worst times of her life, but overcoming that fear was what allowed her to move on, then swimming became a part of her, something she could not go too long without.

she never gave up on finding her sister, with the help of her fae parents and many years later onora was able to reunite with her mortal sister who at the time had been age by the years while onora had remained almost untouched. she returned freedom to her sister, helped her settle in the mortal lands and kept tabs on her until her very last breath.

she had forbidden herself from ever seeking information of her homelands, but almost two hundred years latter she had learned that the usurper king had drove the once bright kingdom into darkness, eventually it had been overtaken by revolts and the neighboring kingdom had conquered them, erasing rusalka as it had once been entirily.

The Princes React to MC Being Sick: Roy

in honor of me being sick, here's how roy would react to mc being sick. this is maybe the most teeth-rottingly sweet thing i've ever written. pure fluff. anyways, enjoy!

One moment they’d been spinning around slowly in each other’s arms and the next, she’d taken off running out of the ballroom and he found her crumpled over the edge of a potted plant, spilling her guts. Roy crouched behind her, pulling her perfectly curled hair up behind her and rubbing a hand up and down along her back. 

��Darling, let’s get you out of here,” he whispered to her, hooking one arm into hers and gingerly pulling her to her feet. She buried her face in the crook of her other arm after taking one mortified glance up at him and at the crowded ballroom behind them. 

“I’m sure it’s just nerves,” she mumbled. “I… I’m sorry…”

“Nothing at all to be sorry for, heartspell.” Roy tilted her face toward him and smiled down at her. If there was one thing he’d learned about her in the time since beginning their relationship, it was that his lovely paramour was both an awful liar and near impossible to get the truth out of if she was at all embarrassed or insecure. It was the awareness he’d developed in response to that truth that had tipped him off on the boat ride to Invidia, and in the carriage ride to the castle, that something was slightly off. Her hands were clammy, her eyes were glazed- both things he’d encouraged her to rest or take a potion to alleviate. But she’d been fine, completely fine, she insisted- until she wasn’t.

Grayson arrived behind them, closing the ballroom doors so quietly it was almost inaudible. “Your Highness, Miss MC…?”

“Go ahead and tell my parents and Sherry that we will unfortunately be excusing ourselves for the rest of the evening,” Roy replied. As she opened her mouth to protest, Roy laid one gloved finger over her mouth. “No protest, not now,” he whispered. Turning, he gave his valet a smile. “We will be retiring. The journey was more taxing than we’d expected.”

With that, Roy lightly tugged her with him, taking slow steps through the corridor and up toward his bedroom, where he picked her up and princess-carried her up the stairs until he could deposit her on the expansive yellow comforter, propping her up against the mountain of pillows. 

She scrambled to sit up, eyes wide with concern and confusion as he sat down on the edge of the bed to remove his shoes and shed his jacket. “You’re not going to go back to the party? It was a welcome party for you.”

“It was a welcome party for us,” Roy corrected gently. “And we were there long enough to do the necessary things. More importantly, there’s no point in remaining if we are not well enough to enjoy it.”

She frowned and curled up guiltily against the pillows. Roy sighed and laid the back of his hand to her forehead, feeling the heat of her increased temperature. He’d never been one to be a massive caretaker or healer- he’d done his occasional stints in the infirmary, but rarely more. He had, however, been a big brother and cared for Sherry when she was small and prone to colds and the like. Thus, Roy stood and encouraged her to sit, summoning her pair of pajamas from her suitcase that had been left in the room to await them, then helped her dress and settled her underneath the covers. 

“Rest,” he urged, leaning forward and kissing her temple. “I will have Grayson bring us some medicine.” 

As he turned to leave the room, she reached out and caught his arm. As she’d been in bed, her eyes had become more glazed and her face more flushed with fever, rendering her rather vulnerable and small looking. “Stay with me,” she murmured, pulling him back toward her.

Roy smiled sympathetically and brushed her sweaty bangs back from her forehead. “I will,” he promised, squeezing her hand. “I promise. I will be right back.”

“You don’t… you don’t have to do all of this…”

He bit back a laugh. “I most certainly do, heartspell,” he said. He held up her left hand so that it faced back toward her, so that the silver ring and ruby gem on her ring finger glinted in her direction. “I didn’t give you this for no reason. We may not be wed yet, but I already intend to be by your side in both sickness and health. Let me love you properly.”

Tears gathered in the corner of her eyes and she sighed, rubbing them away and reclining into the sea of pillows around her. “...Alright. I will. I… I love you, Roy,” she whispered.

“I love you too.”

Roy left and returned, crawling onto the bed beside her and lying there until Grayson arrived with the requested medication, which she took with a reluctant gulp and then laid prone on the bed, eyes closed. 

“Of all the times to get sick…” she muttered. 

Roy chuckled a bit. He’d since changed into his own pajamas and laid beside her, propped up on an elbow. “I’m not surprised. You’ve been pushing yourself too hard these past weeks.”

“I felt like I had to. There’s so much for me to learn and be ready for. I mean… I need to be… good enough. For you, for Invidia… and I still messed everything up anyway,” she mumbled, her voice breaking as she swallowed the lump of tears growing in her throat. 

“Hey. No, listen to me. You didn’t mess anything up. And no one worth having around would believe otherwise.” Roy moved closer and pulled her hands gently away from her face so that he could look into her eyes. He planted a kiss on her forehead and then rested there, holding her close and wiping the tears off her cheeks. 

“You shouldn’t get so close, I don’t wanna get you sick too,” she protested.

“In sickness and in health, both of us,” Roy insisted, crawling beneath the covers to pull her into him and bury his face in her neck, causing her to jump and giggle slightly as his breath tickled her neck. “Besides- I could use an excuse to stay in with you.”

She sighed, finally relenting, and relaxed into his arms. “This isn’t an inconvenience? Truly?”

“Truly. Heartspell, we have the rest of our lives. This won’t be the first or last time one of us falls ill. Next time it will be me, perhaps.” Roy pressed a kiss to her ear, then to her temple. “Now rest, darling.”

And she did- they both did, slipping into a deep slumber together.

Belle Izadore: Relationship Chart - Book 1

So, I always talk about how Belle hates everyone but the thing is, she’s more complicated than that and really doesn’t hate everyone. So, in hopes of getting her personality (or rather dynamics) straight, here is a list of how she feels about each character in Court of Darkness. These are her opinions of them from Book one of the princess path and with each book finished, I will make a new, updated chart.

In order of most liked to most hated.

Besties/Greatly Trusts:

Rio Voleri: In a world where it feels like everyone and everything is out to get Belle, Rio is the only person she trusts whole heartedly. He was the first person to show her genuine kindness and respect. Even if he were to find out about her magic, Belle feels as though he wouldn’t care or use her for it. Even so, she can’t trust him with her secret out of fear, but for everything else, he is one of the first people she will go to when things get tough.

Sherry Invidia: Belle’s second most trusted friend. She is the kindest, sweetest soul ever and Belle feels safe around her. Truly a girl’s girl (unlike some people). Belle isn’t too worried about Sherry finding out her magic cause she knows she’s too sweet to use her.

Violet Muller: Hasn’t talked to her since the ball, but Belle has the utmost respect for her. Despite how intimidatingly beautiful she seems, Violet is so kind and caring and Belle really likes that. Honestly, she solidified Belle’s respect for her when she kicked Fenn in the face. Someone had to do it and Belle wasn’t too mad it wasn’t her who did it.

Tino and Thoma: She didn’t really talk to them as much compared to the others, but from the small interactions she’s had with them, they both seem like sweet souls that mean well. Honestly she’d feel bad if anything happened to them.

Unsure:

Aquia Avari: She never talked to him but she honestly feels bad for him. He seems like a sweet guy and after seeing his interaction with Guy, all she sees is someone just wanting to talk with his brother. It breaks her heart. Honestly, he doesn’t deserve a brother like Guy.

Grayson Hotz: Only saw him with Roy once but he seems okay to Belle. Doesn’t talk a lot so she can’t make an opinion on him.

Headmaster Lou: Belle’s respectful towards him (mostly cause he’s the headmaster). She doesn’t know much about him and honestly, at this point, she doesn’t care. She just wants to get back home. And if he can help her out, then she’s happy.

Professor Hawke: he’s a teacher. that’s it for her.

Neutral/Is okay with but doesn’t trust

Lynt Akedia: In terms of being trustworthy or untrustworthy, Belle sees him right in the exact middle. She’s not afraid of him using her magic. Honestly it seems like he couldn’t be bothered, which she likes. However, he’s still one of the S rank princes and she doesn’t trust any of them. So she’s weary of him but has no problem being around him.

Toa Qelsum: Belle doesn’t like how rude and pompous he can be, but can see that there’s something more to him. There’s some sort of messy kindness he has about him that she likes. Honestly, she wants to trust him, but she can’t. Despite his attentiveness towards her, he was just as desperate for her magic as Guy was in the beginning and if weren’t for Guy stealing her kiss first, Toa would’ve. And it’s because of this that she can’t trust him.

Knight: He’s very… protective of Toa and honestly, Belle doesn’t have a problem with him. Despite how spiteful he can seem, she knows he’s only doing his job so she really doesn’t have a problem with him. She just doesn’t trust him for the sole fact that he’s Toa’s valet.

Roy Invidia: Belle actually really liked him at first. He seemed kind and caring and was actually willing to take her out to help make her feel better, which is more than what any of the other S ranks did for her. The thing is, the more they talked, the more she realized he was only trying to let her guard down so one day he could use her power. Even if that wasn’t the case, that’s what she got out of it. And she really did not like that. So far, he’s safe for now, but if he try’s to pull anything on her, he will end up on her hit list, which lately, has been increasing.

Jasper Lane: despite how respectful he seems, there’s just something about him that Belle doesn’t like. Mostly it’s just because he’s Guy’s valet, which he seems to trust whole heartedly. So if Guy trusts him, she most certainly can’t.

Hate:

Fenn Luxure: *spray bottle* No! Back off!

Guy Avari: She didn’t think there was anyone she could hate more than Fenn but he proved her wrong. He already started off bad by forcing a kiss on her when she first got here. But despite that, she could let it slide due to the rare compassion and mercy she would give to this situation. He had the decency to patch her up which earned him points. She still didn’t like him, but wasn’t going to bite his head. But what really solidified her hate for him was when she was saving the poor dragon. She gave him her magic so he could save the dragon, which they did. However, it was a trick. In that moment, he was the most dangerous thing in this whole, twisted world. She can never trust him and won’t let him use her again.
