Drama: The king's affection
Status: Second male lead
Portrayed by: Nam Yoon-Soo
One of the most lovely characters of all time. He has a heart of gold, he is loyal, brave, has high moral standards and he is a great friend always protecting the one he loves. He is one of the pure characters that you have no choice but to root for him and you are constantly affraid that something bad happends to him. Also, I have to mention the dimples, he has the sweetest smile.

Hii!! I saw that you are open to supernatural AUs so... Can I ask for one where Stray Kids summon a demon that happens to be Bae? 😈😊 (I want happy vibes pleaseee)
word count: ~2k
warnings: few drops of blood
genre: demon AU, fluff?
a/n: I hate you. I told you in our chat already several times, but I hate you so much. You KNOW how much I love supernatural AUs, especially demon ones. And you dare give me this idea, that is now living rent free in my head, growing itself out into a whole ass series. I will be demanding compensation later. Maybe some Chan pics or smt, I haven't decided yet. I need to bash my head into the wall first a few times.
Please let me know if I left a warning or anything out, I will add it in! Reblogs, likes and feedback are greatly appreciated!
!I don't condone anyone stealing my work and posting it anywhere without my permission, or feeding it to AI!
!This is just fiction, my interpretation of Stray Kids. By no means is this how they are and how they behave in real life!

“Are we really sure this is a good idea?”
Hyunjin’s question never got answered, the air between the 8 teenage boys unusually silent and strained. It only caused him to grow even more nervous, his fingers occasionally twitching without his own command, urging him to just tuck his hands into his pockets.
Everyone knew that it wasn’t a good idea. Not the little group they gathered up in, not the dark room lit up with various candles, all placed in a certain pattern scattered throughout the whole space. And the charcoal drawing they circled around certainly wasn’t the best thing they had ever done in their whole life, not at all.
But what they were about to do was something even stupider.
Jeongin took out a little knife he’d kept safely tucked away in his flannel’s pocket, revealing the hidden blade with the single press of a button. His eyes swept over everyone else’s, worried glances greeting him back. The maknae could only gulp, yet his slightly shaking hands extended over the circle, blade cutting into supple flesh.
Drip, drop.
The vermillion liquid slowly landed and formed a small pool in the middle of the drawing, where the most intricate symbols laid, everyone sitting around it with bated breaths. It felt as if they were about to make either the best, or the most horrible decision of their lives, and they couldn’t have wished for it to be over any faster. It laid heavy on their shoulders, their chests, as soon as they got their hands on that wine red, leather bound book that started it all. It was as if that thing was calling them, whispering into their ears, something they couldn’t resist even for a moment.
It would have felt wrong to do so.
So now, here they were, performing the ritual that was carefully written down in those aged, yellow pages, their content beautifully explained in great detail. Even them, who had no idea about the occult, could easily perform it; the hardest thing to do was to draw the lines good enough and have enough bravery to cut into their flesh.
And yet… nothing seemed to be happening.
No magical lights appeared from the summoning circle, no portal opened from the blood, nothing. Not even a little puff of smoke.
“Well… we tried.” - it was Chan, breaking everyone out of their stupor. “Yea, let’s just go. Don’t look so heartbroken Lixie, we can maybe try again later?” - Changbin said, slinging an arm over the mentioned male’s shoulder. “Exactly, so let’s just go down. I never liked this room, whenever I passed by it, it gave me the chills. C’mon Jisungie, stop moping around.” - Hyunjin said, a sweat rolling down the side of his forehead. “No need. Just look.” - Minho’s voice caught everyone’s attention, his arms ushering the two youngest behind his protective form.
The boy was right, the room now glowed in a sinister red light, something captivating, yet frightening. A rift that tore through time and space started opening up in the middle of the summoning circle, the blood fallen there now moving on its own, pawing the path for the portal in an intricate pattern. Dark smoke escaped that rift, coating the room with its chilly self. If only that was the single thing that crossed over to their world, then the boys could have heaved a sigh of relief. But no, they were forced to watch as a void-dipped, clawed hand gripped at their floor boards, pale skin following it soon after.
In front of the boys stood an imposing creature, one with ashen skin that was dipped into tar, head crowned with pairs of majestic horns, back adorned with a pair of skin-woven wings and a slender tail. His eyes were like molten gold, the colours and patterns perpetually swirling in there, dragging anyone into their depths, were they brave enough to look.
Those same eyes slightly widened, stuck on two members of this little friend group, their presence catching the demon completely off-guard. He wanted to ask what this was all about, especially when he saw that same recognition flash across their eyes, but he wasn’t a fool. There must have been a reason for why they hid amongst these humans, something he didn’t want to ruin even without knowing.
So, the demon set his eyes on Chan, the one who bravely stood in front of anyone in a protective manner. The creature cocked his head to the side, his wings closed to seem less imposing as he was waiting for the other to speak. Nobody summoned a demon for no reason, after all.
“Why did we do this, again? Someone remind me please?” - Changbin’s voice was sharp, yet it had a slightly fearful edge to it. “I don’t fucking know, you idiots just bought this book and somehow we ended up here. With a fucking demon in our room, which is as tall as the room itself!” - Seungmin’s seethed, snapping at the other. “It wasn’t even me, why are you yelling at me then?! It was Minho and Jisung who found the book and brought it here, blame them!” “Oh so you’re pointing fingers now, huh?” - Minho joined in, a deep scowl etched onto his delicate features. “Uh, guys, maybe not now…” - but Jeongin’s pleas weren’t heard, not even after Hyunjin joined him in his efforts to diffuse the situation.
The demon watched it with amusement, a slight huff escaping his form as it reminded him of the past.
“Hey, you can grant one of our wishes, right? Any kind?” - Chan asked, causing the demon’s eyes to fall onto his tiny form that was squished between Jisung and Felix carefully.
His only reply was a silent nod.
“I want these 7 boys to never be harmed, to always be healthy and protected.”
That reply was not what the two boys beside him expected, staring at him with wide eyes and arguing how he should have wished for something better, for himself. The demon just observed it, how everyone argued in the room for different reasons, his eyes lingering on the two liars.
“I cannot grant you what you already have.”
Chan only sputtered at that, unable to believe what he had just heard. The two next to him reacted similarly, a few from behind them joining in, their argument slowly dying down. Everyone just stared up at the hellish entity, watching his eyes shift around, his head slightly dipping down when he closed his eyes for a few seconds, deep in thought. The hair-woven waterfall behind him gently moved, just like the chains and other ornaments that decorated his horns and sharp ears.
Those molten orbs were visible again, hiding behind long lashes, yet no more sound exited the demon’s lips.
“What do you mean? I already have it? We’ve never done anything like this, that’s impossible! Explain yourself!” - Chan raised his voice, clearly getting worked up. “Don’t worry, Channie hyung, he’s only speaking the truth. Other demons would take this chance and take your soul in exchange for nothing.” - it was Felix who spoke up this time, his warm hand lingering on his hyung’s shoulder, before he stepped towards the demon. “Yea, you can really trust him. He’s the softest demon I’ve ever known, and I know San.” - Jisung followed the younger aussie, a lopsided smile dancing on his lips.
Everyone watched on, confused, questions upon questions flying through their heads. The strong feeling sat out onto their faces, some closing their mouths several times, yet no sound left any of them. The two who were now standing next to the demon looked guilty, rightfully so.
Because now Felix was sporting angel wings, while Jisung had bat wings and a tail protruding from his back.
“Someone tell me they’re seeing the same thing, otherwise I’ll assume I somehow overdosed myself on drugs.” “Innie, you didn’t take any.” “That was the problem then.”
The boys laughed at that, the awkward tension now broken thankfully. It gave a chance for the two who hid their true entity to gather themselves, to take a deep breath and just slowly let it out.
“We’re so sorry for hiding this before you guys, but it doesn’t change who we are as a person, really. We’re still the sa–” “Lix, Lixie, it’s okay, don’t start crying. Sure, it’s a surprise, a big one, but we’re not mad. No, Sungie, you calm down too. Just. We need a minute to process, ye?” - Chan interrupted, a heavy sigh leaving his chest as he pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to make sense of everything.
“So… you guys like, know each other?” “Minho!” “What? I’m sure you wanna know too!”
Laughter interrupted the bickering couple, Chan and Minho stopping to look at the still giggling Felix and Jisung.
“Yea, we kinda have a history, the three of us. In short, me and Bae are like brothers, and I mean our new demon buddy here. The two of us are like two peas in a pod, inseparable. Lixie here somehow didn’t hate our guts, even though our races completely hate each other, and we all kept sneaking out to hang out. That’s the gist of it, and now here we are!” “While Jisungie left out a lot, and I mean a LOT, that’s the basics, yea. But we’ll fill you guys in later, first let’s finish forming this pact, before the portal closes and Bae’ll be banished back into Hell for a good while.” “Okay, but how? He already denied one wish.” - Chan argued back, the others nodding along. “Hmm, don’t worry about that. I think he already knows what he wants.” - Jisung replied, his eyes hiding a knowing glint inside.
Indeed, the young demon was correct. Ever since he’d been summoned, Bae knew what he'd wanted and from who. It was obvious it wouldn’t be the one whose blood was used for the creation of the portal, everyone too overprotective for that to happen. And the others either didn’t have something to wish for that they didn’t already have, or Bae simply didn’t want to grant it -he was a picky demon after all-.
But there was one wish that tickled his fantasy, one that drew him closer.
“I can grant what your heart desires, in exchange for your soul. What do you say, Hwang Hyunjin?”
The boy was frozen in place, his dark eyes locked onto golden ones. His lungs stuttered, nearly failing to work and take in that vital air, and yet…
He wasn’t truly afraid.
This gigantic, dangerously captivating creature didn’t terrify him. No, he was excited, his heart was beating hard and fast as if to say that yes, this was finally happening, he’d waited for this for so long. He didn’t know what he’d been waiting for truly, but this whole thing just felt…right. As if a missing puzzle piece was found, ready to be placed in its place and complete a bigger picture.
A little smile drew itself on the demon’s lips, something that caught everyone’s attention as it wasn’t sinister, no, quite the opposite.
“Then the pact is sealed.”
All Hyunjin felt was a slight pain on his cheek, then dark smoke covered up his vision, the demon’s form lost inside. Nothing could be really heard, besides the hushed whispers of the members and his own rushing blood, his heart beating loudly in its cage. Something that only strengthened when the smoke finally cleared, his eyes widening at the sight.
A tall human stood in front of him, pale, delicate skin framed by dark hair. His eyes weren’t molten gold anymore, no, they mirrored his own, dark pools like the inky sky. It took him a second to blink, the sight strangely carved into his mind.
He had to sketch it down later.
Bae lightly smiled at Hyunjin with those barely red-tinted lips, turning around and opening his arms. It didn’t take longer than a second for him to be tackled by Felix and Jisung, the two clinging onto him as if their lives depended on it. So much so, that the little devil hopped onto his back, while Felix was in his arms, carried away as if this was the newly met devil’s daily life.
The others could only blink at that, too confused to really do anything.
What a weird, twisted situation they had gotten themselves into.

People who waited from August to December for part 2 of Alchemy of souls....how????? How did you all manage???
Just finished part 1 and I'm in shambles. Would have been digging my own grave if I didn't have these 10 more episodes.
Jang uk🫂 naksu/mu deok 🫂 park gang gu 🫂 seo yul 🫂 Cho yeon 🫂 crown prince 🫂 madam kim.....these people have my heart. See how the kids are suffering because adults wanted to play with power beyond them. And still are playing with the kids at stake. Madam Kim the only grown up ever.
Also how dare they make this final episode so sweet for all these couples and then just everything goes up in flames.
Like woah. The tone changes and how. With literal death.
Jin Mu is the example of fuck around and find out tbh. Man literally did everything that has Jang UK in full power. I hope he dies a horrible death. Can't wait to see that.
Crown Prince. I just hope you repent a bit. You were not at fault but still. Look what you enabled man.

Family - A Lee Know One Shot
Pairings: Lee Minho x reader
Genre: hurt/comfort- established relationship, just SKZ being the best boys and protective Lee Know.
Synopsis: While Lee Know is gone for the Gucci shoot, you help SKZ practice for the VMA’s. All fun and games until you get hurt.
A/N: I wrote this today at work and it’s barely proof read so apologies on that part my lovelies🥰
Tumblr media
“Have fun my Gucci prince.” You sang into the phone, your boyfriend huffed, “please don’t start that. We get enough of it from Hyunjin and Yongbokkie.” Minho groaned. You laughed as you walked into the practice room, “have fun, I love you, and I’m so proud of you Min.” You said quietly before the rest of the kids could interrupt. “Bye kitten, have fun with the boys. I love you.” He replied. You quickly ended the call and walked further into the room setting your bag down. Being a professional dancer yourself, you often came to the studio to practice with the boys, after being with Minho for two years they were used to your presence. “Noona!” Jeongin called as you walked towards them to join the stretches. “Hi boys.” You replied, ruffling Seungmins hair as you walked by, he swatted your hand away making you laugh. “Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.” You said sitting down beside Chan. “He was late too.” Chan whispered, glancing towards the moping puppy. “Ooooooh Seungminnie.” You exclaimed. Getting a glare from Seungmin, you started stretching and quietly talking to Chan about the performance they have at the VMAs.
The boys were diving into their S-Class dance break, you holding Minhos spot. “Innie, you got this.” Chan called as the youngest got used to the new lift that was added in. “I know it’s just high.” He said sheepishly. Seeing the younger boy look so concerned, you volunteered, “innie do you want me to do it first so you see how it looks?” He eyes turned towards you, “noona you don’t have too.” You shook your head, “I don’t mind if it’ll give you peace about it.” He smiled at you and moved so you were in his place with the dancers. You worked through the movements and when it was time for the lift you let the dancer pull you up. One second you are being lifted and the next you hear a huff and the floor starts getting closer. You panic and throw your arms down to catch yourself, landing painfully on your wrist, catching yourself but not before your head hits the ground as well.
The rest of the members couldn’t move fast enough to catch you, all scrambling towards you as you cry out on impact. “Shit y/n. Are you alright?” Chan says and he kneels down beside you, you’re holding your arm against yourself and can feel something sticky running down your head. You slowly roll over onto your back, the air knocked out of you from the fall, “fuck” Chan curses under his breath, seeing your head split from the fall. “Noona I’m so sorry.” Jeongin cries from your other side. “Chan she needs to go to the medic.” Felix calls from somewhere behind you. Everything is swirling together, all the voices blending as your vision starts to go black. “No no y/n keep your eyes open.” Chan says gently. Pushing your hairs back from the cut. “Hyun, go get the medic.” Hyunjin sprints out of the room, “her wrist.” Han croaks from one side of you, you can feel his hand shaking on your leg. You were still clutching your wrist to your body, just then hyunjin and the medic come barreling back into the room. He kneels down beside you, IN and Han moving out of the way. Changbin grabbing Han’s sleeve as he started marching over to the back up dancers. “It’s their fault.” He said harshly, Changbin shook his head, “it was an accident. Leave them alone.” He whispered. Han threw a glare at the dancers then turned his eyes back towards you. Out of all of them you and Han were the closest, you treated him like a younger brother, loved him as much. “She’s gonna need stitches.” The medic quietly told Chan, who nodded. Han gripped your hand as Chan picked you up and followed the medic out of the room. The rest of the guys gathered their things, grabbing yours and trailing behind.
Sitting in the ER, Han holding your hand as they stitched up your head, “the wrist isn’t broken, just a bad sprain. You’ll have to wear the brace for now. We’ll reexamine it in a few weeks.” The doctor told you before walking out of the room. “Ji, has anyone call Min?” Hans face paled, the thought of calling his Hyung and telling him you were hurt- that was not a job he wanted. “I’ll ask Channie Hyung.” He said as he pushed past the curtain to the other boys. “How is she?” Changbin asked, “sprained wrist, they are stitching up her head now, slight concussion. She seems okay.” Han answered before turning towards their leader, “Someone, not me but someone needs to call Minho and let him know.” He added quickly before darting back into the closed area with you.
Chan blew out a breath before grabbing his phone and walking outside. “Hyung how’s practice going? Did Innie get the lift, I know he was stressed about it-“ Minho said as soon as the call connected. “Minho.” Chan said, cutting the younger boy off. Minho got quiet, “there was an accident at practice.” He started, “oh god did they flood something again?” Minho said chuckling, “it’s y/n.” Chan said, the other line went silent. “Min-“ Chan started, “what happened?” Minho ground out. “She was helping Innie with the lift and she…uh…fell, she’s alright-“ “did she fall or was she dropped? Because you saying fall doesn’t seem accurate for y/n.” Minho snapped back. Chan could tell he was more worried than angry. But taking it out on Chan all the same. “She’s alright, just calm down.” “don’t tell me to calm down when my girlfriend is hurt Chan.” Minho roared back at him. “We’re taking her back to the dorm, just let us know when you get home. And calm down before you do. She doesn’t need your attitude as well.” Chan stated before hanging up the phone.
The boys had gotten you back to the dorms, and you were currently snuggled into Minhos bed, savoring the smell of him; wishing he was there to hold you. Han sat down beside you on the bed, reaching for your hand not in the brace. “Are you sure it’s safe for you to sleep? You have a concussion.” He asked quietly. You chuckled, “I’m alright Ji.” You looked towards the door where the rest of the boys were standing. “How about a movie?” You suggested, and smiled when they all moved into the room. Getting comfy on the ground around the bed. “Do you need anything noona?” Felix asked from in front of the bed, “I’m alright Yongbokkie.” He gave you a smile and turned back around. Han turned on Howls Moving Castle and propped up a pillow for you to get comfortable on. Chan turned off the lights and you let the movie take over your mind.
Minho opened the door to the dorm and was greeted with darkness. Some light came from under his door, and the soft music of a movie flowed out. Chan stepped out of the kitchen and made eye contact. “Hyung, I’m so sorry.” Minho said feeling awful about snapping at his leader. “It’s alright, she’s in here. I was just grabbing her some water.” He responded walking towards minhos bedroom, “where is everyone?” He asked Chan, who chuckled, “where do you think?” With that he opened the door and Minhos heart swelled, you were curled up asleep, hidden under the covers with Han beside you, and the rest of the boys scattered around the floor, surrounding you, guarding you even in their sleep. Chan nudged Changbin waking him up, they quietly started moving all the boys out of the room as Minho made his way over to you. IN stopped and turned towards his hyung, “I didn’t mean for her to get hurt. I’m sorry hyung.” He said softly. “I know innie-ah it’s not your fault. It was an accident.” He said back to the younger boy patting him on the back. And he got closer to the bed he noticed Han was awake and just staring at you/n sleep. “Bit creepy don’t you think?” He said startling the boy. “The doctors said she could sleep with a concussion but the internet said it was dangerous. I was making sure she didn’t stop breathing.” And just when Minho thought he couldn’t love his brothers more. He looked down where Han was holding her hand, his fingers resting over her pulse point. “I’ve got her Ji, don’t worry.” Han nodded, getting up and following Chan out of the room.
Minho gently laid down beside you, trying not to rustle or wake you up. As he laid down, your eyes turned towards him, “min?” Your voice full of sleep, he smiled at you, “hi kitten.” You rolled over, your wrist in the brace coming between your bodies. He looked down at it then up to your bandaged head, “I’m so sorry I wasn’t here kitten.” He said cupping your cheek, leaving tender kisses on your hairline. “How did the shoot go?” You mumbled, already falling back asleep. “I don’t remember any of it after Chan called me.” He grumbled, tucking you closer to his body. “Mhm my Gucci prince.” You sighed as you pressed a kiss to his jaw, before nestling back into his arms. Minho looked down at you, a smile on his face. Happy to have you safely back in his arms. He fell asleep peacefully knowing as long as him and the boys were around you’d be fine.

My favourite character type: Metaphorically Tortured and Literally Covered in Blood
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jang Uk from Alchemy of Souls counts, even though I don't think he's ever simultaneously tortured and covered in blood, but that is only because that series doesn't use a lot of blood. Dude was mentally tortured and literally killed 86 people in one go, there should be blood.
In order: Jang Uk & Naksu/Mu-deok/Cho Yeong Alchemy of Souls, Han Ri-ta & Kim Do-ha Moon in the Day, Kang Cheol W: Two Worlds, Myul Mang/Kim Sa-ram Doom at Your Service, Lee Chang & Seo-bi Kingdom, Lee In Captivating the King, Lee Rang Tale of the Nine Tailed/1938, Jang Man-wol Hotel Del Luna, Moo-yeon/Yoon Seok-ha 100 Days My Prince, Duke Su The Double, Do Hyun-soo Flower of Evil
Each time I asked myself, "Are they actually covered in blood or did they just get a little on them? Are they sufficiently tortured or do they only have minor mental turmoil?" These are very strict, scientific criteria.

The king's affection
Genre: Romance, historical
Episodes: 20
Starring: Park Eun-Bin, Rowon, Nam Yoon-Soo, Choi Byung-Chan
Synopsis: The Crown Prince's wife gave birth to twins, but twins were considered an ominous sign. The twin daughter was supposed to be killed, but her mother begged to save her life. Secretly, the twin daughter is sent out of the palace. A few years later, the twin son Lee Hwi is killed. The Crown Prince's wife hides her twin son's death and brings her twin daughter back to the palace and raises her as Prince Lee Hwi. Lee Hwi eventually becomes a crown prince, but she is afraid her real identity will be revealed. Because of her secret, Lee Hwi is unable to have anyone close to her.
Positives: Very well written romantic drama with great characters, interesting plot, the right amount of intriquing evil ministers and heartwarming scenes full of love and friendship. Suprisingly well handled love triangle and the story ending.
Negatives: The main plot itself (the woman dressing up as a man) is little bit cheesy, because it would suprise me that no one would be suspicious earlier. Some characters are not the sharpest pencils in the box.
Conclusion: Very good historical romance that is fun to watch.
Action: 7/10 Romance: 9/10 Intriques: 9/10 Blood: 6/10 Whump: 6/10 Friendship: 6/10 Emotions: 8/10 Humor: 8/10

3 years in the making and NOW IT'S HERE AAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
Ad Terra is a dramedy that follows rival professional gamers Hyun-je "Nyangi" Jeon and Seon-jin "PRinCe" Lee as they struggle to survive in a dead, alternate Earth that's nothing like their own. Though united in a search for their former teammates, their shared history makes tensions inescapable— especially when not everyone is who they seem.
Follow @adterra for updates and new pages, or subscribe to Ad Terra on comicfury (linked in the replies)! No set upload schedule as of yet, but I'll be uploading one page of the intro every day until I run out.

I only have two episodes left of the wonderful Move to Heaven. This is such a well-told story. It unpacks grief, preconceived notions and assumptions, delves into all types of relationships between people, and has a great heart amongst some rough edges. Looking forward to finishing it.
No Gain No Love is off to a fun start. Shin Min Ah is just the right amount of prickly and understandable. She’s rightfully upset about the neglect from her parents and bad ex-boyfriends. But I love that she is still besties with her foster sisters. Kim Young Dae is an angelic convienence store employee who is nice to everyone but Shin Min Ah’s character. I love their mutual annoyance of each other. It’s obvious the reason they have this conflict is because they remind each other of a beloved family member that they have a complicated relationship with so you understand why they are repelled yet drawn to each other. Can’t wait for Byeon Woo Seok’s cameo next week!
Moon Sang Min won me over in Wedding Impossible so I was keen to start Cinderella at 2AM. He’s perfect here as a total loser in love who’s willing to go to great lengths make their relationship work. I’m really enjoying Shin Hyun Been too. Her reluctance to stay with a boyfriend who hid the truth about his family and social status makes sense. Even in these first two episodes, the writer did a good job of showing the cracks in their relationship that would have led to their downfall but now can be addressed to make them stronger together.
Love Next Door is growing on me. I could see the good bones of the story were there and I love the actors but I have an issue with all the hitting-as-humor which is not funny to me. These last two episodes dived into the drama of trauma and I was here for it. There are so many layers and subtlety in their relationship. They know each other so well and yet there are many unknown and hidden parts too. I’m here to savor their slow reveal.
I was able to squeeze in another episode of Ghost Doctor. It’s funny with great relationships and drama. I’m really enjoying this show.
I watched the first half of Queen Woo when it dropped yesterday. It was okay. The story’s kinda choppy and most of the characters are paper thin or annoying (*side eyes the weird shaman and jealous sister*). This is also on a streaming network so it has no restrictions; it’s rated 21+ (gore, nudity, sex, r*pe). It felt Game of Thrones lite. The only things getting me through are the Queen’s cunning and determination, the flashbacks to the King and Queen’s relationship, and Lee Soo Hyuk’s villainous prince.

"Colin Bridgerton is ruined! The show made him so unlikeable" or some negative 🐂💩 about poor Colin. NO!
I can totally understand (and agree) that Season 3 is a mess and the lack of happy Polin that I never get the chance to feel giddy about.
But Colin is not "ruined". He's the same sensitive, caring and soft boi everyone knows and loves. It's just that he feels useless, unworthy and inferior. When he finds out Penelope Featherington is Lady Whistledown, he is heartbroken because he thinks "that's not the Pen I know. Who duh heo is she!?" He also feels intimidated that she's better than him, so he believes Penelope deserves someone better than this loser. But he still wants to marry and stay with her because he loves her so much and he and Pen have the connection that only they understand; he just needs to accept that she's LW, she's still the same person he loves - just more successful, heh - and that she loves him for who he is, not what he can provide.
But what I can absolutely declare with certainty is that Colin Bridgerton is a Drama Queen™. Look at this pissy, pouty, jelly Drama Queen™ sleeping on a chaise sofa because he subconsciously just wants to be near Pen, even though he's angry with her.
Tumblr media
And he's not the only one. Let me show you my favourite Honourary Drama Queens™ who are all very similar to Colin.
Exhibit A (and my favourite Drama Queen™):
Prince Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender (ATLA)
Tumblr media
Exhibit B:
(Master) Katara from ATLA
Tumblr media
Exhibit C:
Sokka from ATLA
Tumblr media
Exhibit D:
Ri Jeong Hyeok (Hyun Bin) from Crash Landing On You.
Tumblr media
Exhibit E:
Anya Forger from Spy X Family
Tumblr media
Exhibit F:
Damian Desmond from Spy X Family
Tumblr media
Exhibit G:
Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) from Lucifer
Tumblr media
And finally Exhibit H:
The Goblin (Gong Yoo) and the Grim Reaper (Lee Dong Wook) from Guardian: the Lonely and Great God (or Goblin).
Tumblr media
Ultimately, Colin Bridgerton is not ruined or changed significantly from the book or past seasons. He's a soft boi and The Drama Queen™. He's somewhat like that in the book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, too. But is more tempamental and demanding than pissy and in a teen girl phase, heh. To be honest, I prefer show!Colin than book!Colin. So I don't wanna see any more Colin (or Luke Newton) slander! 😤 Rant over.
