Despite not having played the game since Skull Merchant came out, Dead by Daylight AU where Desmond (and somehow, Clay) is in the Entity's Realm and is both a Survivor and a Killer (never at the same time).

Desmond's Survivor perks could include seeing the footsteps of the Killer, make a small trap that when a Killer walks through it would allow Desmond to see the killer for a few seconds, and possibly an exhaustion perks that's similar to Decisive Strike in which you get to attack/tackle the Killer and stun them (and drop any Survivor if they're carrying anyone) (maybe only activate when full health? Idk, brain says game balance) (Brain tried it's best trying to come up with some perks that reflect his ancestors but also himself- idk, did my best with these while also double checking the wiki to make sure the perks aren't overlapping with another pre-existing character's perks.

Unsure about Desmond's killer perks but his ability I would like to think would be a callback to him and the Animus specifically. Whenever he's the Killer, the Entity forces him into a familiar state of being in the animus and he has to reach full Synchronization to get all the buffs from it and all. (Possibly, every 25% of synchronization equals +haste as well as -terror radius. 100% synchronization could be him going Undetectable and no red stain)

To counteract this, Survivors are able to find cryptic code symbol writings (call back to Clay's blood message things in the animus in the 2nd game kinda) and interact with them. Once interacted, they can set back The Subject (Des' killer name) Synchronization. (AT 0% Synchronization, The Subject's terror radius would be larger then usual at 40 meters like Wesker)

But anyways, I feel like Desmond would get along with Vittorio, if only cause Desmond would be able to have regular conversations with him in old Italian and such. And if Desmond bleeds Ezio every so often when he's around Vittorio, more long conversations. (Also, I want to see Desmond's reaction to see Laurie Strode, Resident Evil characters, and Nicholas Cage in person and such) XD

You gave me an excuse to think of a game mechanic so that’s where Imma focus my answer for this one hahahaha

I feel like his perk should be something connected to the Eagle Vision in some kind. Maybe like, setting up a trap would let him activate Eagle Vision as long as he’s setting the trap. Then when the Killer sets on the trap, he becomes illuminated in Desmond’s vision for a few seconds like you suggest and would leave a trail similar to how the Eagle Sense worked in AC Revelations.

If you want to add a balance to Desmond’s version of the Decisive Strike, we can make it into an Air Assassination where Desmond has to ensure that he times his attack right AND calculate the right distance otherwise he’d miss and he would have a long animation that the Killer can use to their advantage.

As a Killer, I think it would be cool if part of his deal is that he doesn’t want to be a Killer but the Bleeding Effect took over and he glitches every so often to his Bleeds.

His synchronization skill is also connected to this. The higher his synchronization rate is, the longer the time he shows up as a glitching version of one of his ancestors.

100% synchronization fully commits him to one of his Bleeds and there’s a randomness to which Bleeds he becomes.

(Unless you buy the specific skins that will make his Bleed turn into that specific ancestor 100% because, let’s be honest, Desmond’s Killer state would be more like different characters lollol so they gonna milk it with DLC costumes!)

His Bleed of Altaïr is the fastest and his main attack is an AOE grapple by glitching Assassin ghosts. Using the AOE though lowers his speed to that of an old man until the end of the AOE’s animation.

His Bleed of Ezio is middle of the pack. He’s not quite as fast as Altaïr but he can attack while moving and, if he keeps still, he can see the ‘trail’ left behind by survivors.

His Bleed of Ratonhnhaké:ton has the longest range but is a single target. He can use his rope dart to grab onto a fleeing survivor and drag them back (very “Get over here!” kind of deal).

His Bleed of Haytham though… well… Haytham is a strange one. He has the lowest possibility of being picked (everyone has 30%, Haytham has 10%) and he has the same speed as Ezio’s. The special thing about him is that he actually has the highest range of terror radius BUT anyone who is caught in that radius actually slows down, an impending doom that you can try to escape. Another thing about Haytham’s Bleed is that he has a time limit unlike the others and can only be used around 20 seconds then Desmond’s synchronization would return to 90% and he would get another random Bleed once he reaches 100%.

During Haytham’s Bleed though, everyone hit by his terror radius will be marked and can be seen even if there’s a wall or anything in between.

The moment Haytham’s Bleed ends, the mark stays for 5 seconds before disappearing.

I can say with certainty that, due to October 29, 1978, Desmond and Michael Myers will have some unresolved sexual tension that makes other killers/survivors go “????”. Freddy also kills to mess with him because, according to him, Desmond’s nightmares taste delicious. Survivors don’t necessary trust him because he prefers to hunt down the killers hunting them down but Ada Wong seems to like teaming up with him (maybe give a hint that, in another world, Ada Wong herself could have been a rogue Assassin)

Desmond would be so confused when he meets Nicolas Cage because a lot of the survivors and killers he knows as fictional characters but Nicolas Cage is an honest to god real actor. Becomes even trippy-er when Nicolas Cage tells Desmond that he knows Desmond as a fictional character too. Like… what. The. Fuck.

Desmond and Laurie Strode usually complain about Michael Myers but even Laurie knows Michael’s ‘fascination’ with Desmond is different from hers.

WE HAVE A RUMORED CONFIRMATION FOR RESIDENT EVIL 9

According to a trusted insider, the game is going ti be called Resident Evil 9: Revenant Shadows and it is already up for pre-order on Play Asia.

The game is rumored to be focused around Leon Kennedy during the Ethan Winter and Chris Redfield storyline.

Not only that, but we also have a rumored confirmation of the remakes for Code Veronica and Resident Evil 0. Those both will possibly be available for PS5. Resident Evil 5 is also rumored to be made for PS5 but not remade.

Just remembered that my previous post about my Obey Me Madoka Magica AU won’t show up in the tags cause its a reblog . So I'm copy pasting it here so it shows up.

SPOILERS for Madoka Magica and Rebellion

Notes; I'm not really a writer so this isn't worded great, My MC uses primarily he/him so that's how I will be referring to him. This will be expanded on more later.

This AU somewhat follows the story beats of Madoka Magica and Rebellion, with some changes. Theres also a few elements taken from Magia Record.

Roles;

The demon brothers (And Lilith but we’ll get to that) take the role of Madoka. In every timeline they either die fighting Walpurgisnacht, or some other way.

MC takes the role of Homura, giving up his soul to wish for the ability to go back in time to try and save everyone over and over.

Lilith also technically takes the role of Madoka, however in a different way. After around 144 or so timelines of reliving the same time frame over and over, MC attempts to go back even further to try and convince Lilith not to try and save her lover. This back fires when she wishes to save them with Kyubey, turning them into a magical duo. In the final timeline; Lilith wishes to become the Law of Cycles, erasing her from everyone’s memory except MC’s.

(I have some ocs that take the role of the rest of the Holy quintet and Nagisa, but i’ll save them for later since they’re a little underdeveloped.)

Story Things;

The main plot is mostly the same. Walpurgisnacht is discovered in the devildom and causes havoc; Diavolo, Barbatos, the brothers, Solomon, and MC try to scope out what’s happening and help the residents of the area. The Brothers attempt to fight Walpurgisnacht directly and lose, ending with their deaths and the reason MC makes his wish.

Kyubey shows up and turns MC into a magical boy via MC (unknowingly) trading his soul for his wish. As mentioned above MC goes through a lot of timelines to try and save them, failing everytime. Normal Madoka Magica stuff really.

I sort of have the story separated into 4 main sections, with a Pre-Canon story and a Post-Canon story.

Phase 1 - The Beginning

Phase 2 - The Mid Point

Phase 3 - Witch (MC realizes that he’s a witch and the resulting consequences of that.)

Phase 4 - Labyrinth (After MC pulls Lilith (Law of Cycles) back into existence and becomes the Concept of Evil, he traps the world in a Labyrinth where he no longer exists to make sure everyone is happy.)

As for the Pre and Post canon stories, i have those labeled currently as Scene 0 and Scene END.

Scene 0 takes place in between seasons 1 and 2 of the OG game, but with the focus on MC’s teammates and what they were up to prior to his wish.

Scene END takes place after the end of Phase 4, when MC is “defeated” and everyone is free of the labyrinth. (Obviously the movie Walpurgisnacht Rising isn’t out at the time of this post, so i will probably add another phase to the story for the events in that.) Scene END follows Lilith as the protagonist as she begins to fade from existence (as she is the law of cycles and shouldn’t exist to anyone else) so she seeks out help from MC to be able to stay with her brothers and everyone else.

Other Notes;

In reference to the “MC being beheaded” thing, to signify the (sort of) destruction of his labyrinth he’s put to the guillotine by his familiars. This doesn’t kill him obviously, at this point in the story he would be a literal Concept. However; that doesn’t mean he can’t feel pain. (no matter how hard he tries to pretend nothing affects him anymore.)

For the Kyubey thing; MC forces Kyubey into a human ish form when Kyubey is in the labyrinth. While MC cannot be seen or heard by anyone (minus Lilith but only occasionally) Kyubey essentially acts as MC’s way of making sure people don’t mess with his plans, although Kyubey is doing this against his will.

One smaller thing about concept MC; he can physically never stop smiling. Ever. He’s forced to smile through everything after becoming a concept. Mainly cause i felt like it and i thought it would be even more fun to play around with his expressions this way.

Okay that's everything for now. Again once I flesh out MC’s teammates more I'll make another post for them.

The thing about Resident Evil, though, is that “from the beginning” can mean one of two different things. You can start from the beginning with Resident Evil (1996) on PSX, I suppose, but Resident Evil 0 (2002) is chronologically the earliest point in the series.

And, in my opinion, starting with either of those games is a bad idea if you’re coming in from RE4.

I’m going to give you two viable paths through RE, and you can choose the one that you think would work better for you personally.

If you came into Resident Evil through RE4make (and/or OG RE4), and you are only interested in seeing Leon’s story before going into the wider canon, this is the path you take:

Resident Evil 2 & Resident Evil 2 Remake (it doesn’t matter which one you do first, but you should do both. RE2make cuts some shit that’s actually really super important.)

Google search “Resident Evil 3 Leon epilogue.” It’s a single image. Just read it.

Darkside Chronicles (game)

Congrats, you are now up to date with everything (important) that happened to Leon pre-RE4, and you now have a better context for who he is/what he does in that game. From there, the canon timeline for Leon’s appearances then goes:

Degeneration (movie)

Infinite Darkness (Netflix series)

Damnation (movie)

Resident Evil 6 (game)

Vendetta (movie)

Death Island (movie) (releasing in July)

And that’s it. You’re up to date with Leon’s story, and now you can go through the rest of the games at your leisure. The good news is that Leon is in every single canon CGI movie that’s been released, so you don’t have to worry about tracking down anything other than games in order to go into the wider canon once you’ve reached this point.

If you came into Resident Evil through RE4make (and/or OG RE4), and you want to go through the canon because you’re interested in the world and not necessarily hyperfixating on Leon, I actually suggest going backwards and out of order. These are the steps that I would take in order for the series to make the most sense as you’re going through it:

Resident Evil 2 & Resident Evil 2 Remake (again: do both). Doing this gives you more context for RE4, and it introduces you to Claire and makes you aware of who Chris is.

(optional) Resident Evil: Outbreak. Nothing that happens in this game matters, and you’ll never see any of these characters again. This is the only non-essential RE title that I’ll mention, and only because Kevin Ryman is delightful and was supposed to be the guy training Leon if Leon had ever actually started work for real.

Resident Evil Remake. Ignore RE1 on PSX. It’s been erased from canon and overwritten by REmake. This now gives you the setup for why Chris wasn’t in Raccoon City when Claire went looking for him, introduces you to him, and also the rest of the recurring main cast. It will also explain to you who Wesker is; he’s the guy who was talking to Ada in the post-credits scene in RE4make (and who called Leon a dog over and over lmao).

Resident Evil 0. This tells you how Rebecca got to where she was when you meet her in REmake and finishes fleshing out STARS and Wesker for you. By the time you’re done with RE0, you’ll have a full understanding of who the main players all are and how this all started.

Resident Evil 3. Original or Remake. Doesn’t matter, really. I recommend the remake just because Carlos is hot in that version and the game is overall more palatable, but the changes that happen between OG and remake don’t really matter in the way the changes between RE2/RE2make matter.

Code Veronica X. Now that everyone’s out of Raccoon City, the next event chronologically is Claire continuing her search for Chris (and finally finding him).

Umbrella Chronicles followed by Darkside Chronicles. This is just to cap off the Raccoon City saga. Most of what these two games are are recaps of all the games you just went through, but there are extra bits in there that are important. Like, the original version of Operation Javier is shown in Darkside Chronicles -- and, once you see it, you’ll understand why RE old guard says that it’s been changed and retconned in RE4make. The rest of this list is just how the series then unfolds chronologically, because we are now caught up to Resident Evil 4.

Duvall is (nor do you want to), or about that dude who fucked that spider in Gun Survivor 2 (though it is the funniest bit of RE lore to pull out and shock people with. DUDE PUT HIS DICK IN A SPIDER).

omg I need someone to talk to resident evil with…. so I bought the origins collection for my switch in early 2022 but didn’t finish them until later in the year. I finished 0 first which I realize is something I shouldn’t have done given it expects you to have played 1 and 2 first. then in march of last year I got the rest of the games available for the switch (4/5/6 trilogy, and 2r, 3r, 7, and village). I was playing 4 for the first time when the remake came out which I really feel highlights my relation to current culture lol but I did it and all the RE engine games last spring/summer. I had started 5 and 6 (literally had only started the prologue in 6 though) and didn’t finish them until this past summer. this summer I also played the original 2, 3, and cvx. I just finished the original 1 the other day. have watched all the cgi movies this year. so I’m a much newer fan but I’m very invested!! I wish I had gotten into them sooner (especially since I got all the gamecube games which are so expensive now complete in box). I am excited to see what the next game will be like since we’re done with the winters (I haven’t finished the rose dlc yet). if they’re going to use existing characters instead of making another new protagonist I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a jill and chris game like I know leon is really hot rn because of the remakes but jill and chris are the poster children of resident evil. to me. it’s been so long since jill has had a game (outside of her remake), the 30th anniversary of the first game is coming up, and even though they haven’t been the focus of 7 and village, there has been BSAA stuff going on which has been the main thing tying those games to pre-RE engine resident evil until the whole spencer and umbrella reveal in village. I am also interested in how the remake timeline is going to pan out as given the ending of 4r and separate ways, they’re going in a different direction with 5r.

John as Card 1: The Magician

The Magician (also known as The Wizard, which G1deon literally calls John pre-res) is generally understood as a reflection of the Hermetic concept: as above, so below. This phrase can take on a lot of interpretations depending on the theological contexts, but because we’re talking about a man who just reinvented Gay Space Catholicism, I’ll only be addressing debatably the most famous renditions of this phrase, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven''. This phrase from the Lord’s Prayer is used by Christians as a means to invoke God's will on Earth, which seems fitting for a Catholic space emperor with the desire to create a universe he can bend to his will.

The Magician also signifies the creative process and the act of taking a concept or idea and molding it into something tangible. Again, pretty obviously a God thing.

Now here’s where things start to get more interesting (and potentially plot relevant? tbd). The Magician shows a potential for arrogance, feelings of superiority, a tendency to abandon projects after they’re started, and loss of focus on an idea’s original intent when sustained for too long (like, potentially, a myriad). I think the fucker is going to blow up the universe and start fresh. Great Flood 2.0. I’ve suspected this since reading all of the John chapters in NtN, which, imo, read like an epilogue to the series as a whole, or at least a sympathetic villain monologue before the villain does something monumentally evil, and his connection to The Magician would further solidify this.

Another juicy tidbit is that The Magician in reverse represents deceit. It can symbolize someone who is charming and charismatic, yet states things that don’t add up. This card showing up in a reading can mean that someone in your life who presents themselves as knowledgeable and trustworthy is covertly manipulating you. It would take another full series reread for me to be able to list all the things John lies about, but the most notable is his deception of the resurrection gang.

He paints himself as a “just some guy” god (and to his credit, he is Just Some Guy) but he absolutely uses that boy-next-door exterior to lie to and extort all his closest friends. He lies to them about their names. He hides the truth about lyctorhood from them. He leaves them to figure out lyctorhood by themselves and allows them to sacrifice the people closest to them so that they can be his immortal hand. I’m sure Mercymorn, Augustine, and G1deon figuring this out and plotting to betray him is just the beginning of the retribution he’ll suffer for this.

Alecto/Nona as Card 0: The Fool

(Full disclosure, I’m not exactly the resident Alecto expert so there’s probably a lot of things I’m forgetting or missing but just bare with me here.)

The fool represents new beginnings, having blind faith in the future, being inexperienced, and having a fundamental belief in the universe. In reverse, it represents being foolish, reckless, naive, gullible, air-headed, and several other traits that more or less describe Nona. The figure on the card has his arms flung wide, and his head held high (is this not exactly the Nona cover art?). He is ready to embrace whatever comes his way, but he is also oblivious to the cliff edge he is about to cross. The Fool is unaware of the hardships he will face as he ventures out to learn the lessons of the world. The parallels to Nona’s journey are obvious, but I’d imagine Alecto went through a similar journey from her creation to her imprisonment.

Ultimately we don’t know much about her in the earliest days, but it only makes sense that she had Nona’s personality prior to going crazy. She was also the first to have blind faith in John and the universe he crafted, and for that, she suffered immensely.

Elowen was born in Beacon Hills, deep in the preserve and hidden from others. She had a happy childhood, the first half of her life. Their group liked to spend more time in their faerie form, choosing the human one when they needed to interact with other humans in town and for legal purposes.

Her mother, Freya, had a high level in the hierarchy, and was opposed to socialize with humans or other supernatural beings. She advised their Queen to cut their relationship with the Hales, since she distrusted the wolf pack.

Everything came down when the hunters killed their Queen by association with the Hales. The colony got together to mourn when they were found and attacked by surprise. Most of them perished, but a small group survived, Freya and Elowen included.

The colony regrouped as far as they could of the remains of the Hale house, and they proclaimed Freya their new Queen.

Elowen grew up always hearing stories about how the wolves were the responsible of they demise and how you shouldn't trust a pack of wolves, but she remembered how kind Alpha Hale and her kids were, whenever they would see each other.

Since kids in their colony were homeschooled to avoid other people, El wanted to go outside and have the experience, because she believed not everyone was bad and not all species were untrustworthy. At 15, she insisted to go to the local high school. Her mother, trusting her daughter but doubting her heart would recognize the evil inside other beings, asked her right hand and then Alan Deaton for advice. They got to an arrangement: El would go to school for one year to have a taste and then back to home schooling. Deaton said he would use his connections to enroll her for the second part of the school year. He assured Freya that Beacons Hills was peaceful.

El was so happy to start as soon the human holidays were over. 2011 would be the best year of her life.

She felt drown to Stiles, his energy had something that she liked. El knew it was weird but she found herself following him around. She had a sense of happiness hearing him being excited and talking with his whole body. Thanks to that, she found out that his best friend was a werewolf, recently bitten, and that Derek, Talia's older son was back in town.

She figured out who the Alpha was, when the murders started, and had no choice but tell her mother. Freya didn't want to get caught in the middle, afraid of history repeating. She was so worried that wanted to keep El in the woods and never let her go. The official advicer said she needed to trust Elowen's judgment, to let her make her own mistakes. It was part of growing up.

El didn't need to warn Derek, because the Alpha was killed before she said anything. However, she approached him once it was over. Surprisingly he remember her. He took her like a little sister and promised Freya he would take care of her.

She was the one who suggested who were good candidates to become a wolf, using her powers to look for teens in need, those whose dreams where full of sadness and fear. She picked Erica, Boyd, Isaac and another girl, but the spot was taken by Derek's decision to bit Jackson, so El didn't say anything about the forth girl.

El spent so much time around Derek that she got to know the others too. She was glad that she could see Stiles' energy up close, there was something funny with the guy that made her giggle. Derek would roll his eyes at her excitement. Stiles treated her almost like a child sister, because her personality.

She did not like Lydia, something was off with her but when Derek and his pack suspected she was the Kanima, she was against it and tried to help finding the real one. Later she would find that her faerie type didn't like banshees, as they had death around and they represent life.

Allison was another person she didn't like, she could see her whole hunter aura and was something that disturbed the Hale land, making her sick.

She cried for days when Boyd and Erica died, feeling guilty for bring them into the supernatural world. The only good thing was seeing Cora again. She would have playdates when they were little, and she never forgot her.

The nogitsune event would be worse if it wasn't because of her. The others found weird or funny her attraction to everything Stiles did, but thanks to that noticed something was wrong and used her powers to see into his head at night and push him to close the door. She shared her worries with her mother and she knew what it was. This lead to them separating Stiles from the Nogitsune in time. There were deaths and chaos, which pushed Allison and Issac to leave Beacon Hills together, to the dislike of her father.

When Derek evolved and decided to leave Beacon Hills, he promised her he would be back, and gave her a place hidden in the Hale territory, since they were exposed when her and her mother name, along other faeries were on the Deadpool. Elowen kept their new location a secret because she respect that they don't want to mix up with other humans or weres and wanted to keep them safe.

Alright i feel like talking about this some more.

Obvious Spoilers for Madoka Magica (and possibly Magia Record but not really? not sure what counts or not.) Also Yes, my MC primarily uses He/Him so if that bothers you, my bad.

This gets a little long whoops (Word Count: 702)

This AU somewhat follows the story beats of Madoka Magica and Rebellion, with some changes. Theres also a few elements taken from Magia Record.

Roles;

The demon brothers (And Lilith but we’ll get to that) take the role of Madoka. In every timeline they either die fighting Walpurgisnacht, or some other way.

MC takes the role of Homura, giving up his soul to wish for the ability to go back in time to try and save everyone over and over.

Lilith also technically takes the role of Madoka, however in a different way. After around 300 or so timelines of reliving the same time frame over and over, MC attempts to go back even further to try and convince Lilith not to try and save her lover. This back fires when she wishes to save them with Kyubey, turning them into a magical duo. In the final timeline; Lilith wishes to become the Law of Cycles, erasing her from everyone’s memory except MC’s.

(I have some ocs that take the role of the rest of the Holy quintet and Nagisa, but i’ll save them for later since they’re a little underdeveloped.)

Story Things;

The main plot is mostly the same. Walpurgisnacht is discovered in the devildom and causes havoc; Diavolo, Barbatos, the brothers, Solomon, and MC try to scope out what’s happening and help the residents of the area. The Brothers attempt to fight Walpurgisnacht directly and lose, ending with their deaths and the reason MC makes his wish.

Kyubey shows up and turns MC into a magical boy via MC (unknowingly) trading his soul for his wish. As mentioned above MC goes through a lot of timelines to try and save them, failing everytime. Normal Madoka Magica stuff really.

I sort of have the story separated into 4 main sections, with a Pre-Canon story and a Post-Canon story.

Phase 1 - The Beginning

Phase 2 - The Mid Point

Phase 3 - Witch (MC realizes that he’s a witch and the resulting consequences of that.)

Phase 4 - Labyrinth (After MC pulls Lilith (Law of Cycles) back into existence and becomes the Concept of Evil, he traps the world in a Labyrinth where he no longer exists to make sure everyone is happy.)

As for the Pre and Post canon stories, i have those labeled currently as Scene 0 and Scene END.

Scene 0 takes place in between seasons 1 and 2 of the OG game, but with the focus on MC’s teammates and what they were up to prior to his wish.

Scene END takes place after the end of Phase 4, when MC is “defeated” and everyone is free of the labyrinth. (Obviously the movie Walpurgisnacht Rising isn’t out at the time of this post, so i will probably add another phase to the story for the events in that.) Scene END follows Lilith as the protagonist as she begins to fade from existence (as she is the law of cycles and shouldn’t exist to anyone else) so she seeks out help from MC to be able to stay with her brothers and everyone else.

Other Notes;

In reference to the “MC being beheaded” thing, to signify the (sort of) destruction of his labyrinth he’s put to the guillotine by his familiars. This doesn’t kill him obviously, at this point in the story he would be a literal Concept. However; that doesn’t mean he can’t feel pain. (no matter how hard he tries to pretend nothing affects him anymore.)

For the Kyubey thing; MC forces Kyubey into a human ish form when Kyubey is in the labyrinth. While MC cannot be seen or heard by anyone (minus Lilith but only occasionally) Kyubey essentially acts as MC’s way of making sure people don’t mess with his plans, although Kyubey is doing this against his will.

One smaller thing about concept MC; he can physically never stop smiling. Ever. He’s forced to smile through everything after becoming a concept. Mainly cause i felt like it and i thought it would be even more fun to play around with his expressions this way.

Okay thats everything for now. Again once i flesh out MC’s teammates more i’ll make another post for them.

Bugsident Fabvil: Who is What?

This is my huge list of Resident Evil characters and how I would draw them if they were a Bug in the Bug Fables Universe. Why am I doing this? Because I’m a little obsessed with both games and the thought won’t leave my brain. Keep in mind that I have not beaten every game in the series: I haven’t played all the spinoffs, for example. Ethan Winters reveal: a kind of analysis, theory and wishful thinking

I told you this will be a rambly dump of thoughts and feelings, some names being forgotten and talk about injury details which is painful because my boy gets hurt so much, the wishful thinking of the things will be bolded and this is pre rewatch of both games so I probably got something wrong

I was wrong this got a bit long

- was I supposed to learn that RE7 is on the switch or was I supposed to learn that from the Wikipedia page myself

- this next bit will be things I (vaguely) remember from 7

its safe to say that grievous wounding leads to making the mutation go quicker (Jack shooting himself) and you can lose a lot and still come back in one form or another (again Jack losing his entire torso)

Ethan gets his hand cut of with a chainsaw, head stomped on by a sizeable man and (most definently made stronger by the mold) A blow to the head resulting in prolonged unconsciousness will almost certainly result in brain damage, possibly a fractured skull and bruising or bleeding within the brain itself.  It can be fatal either straight away if the damage is extensive enough or later as the blood from the injury causes pressure to be put on the brain. Ethan briefly regained consciousness on the way to the Baker house whilst being dragged there (which can’t have helped)… as this is the event that RE8 attributed to killing Ethan it is highly possible that it did. 

I kind of wish that Jack was the one to tell Ethan about what happened after Miranda did the thing (can you imagine the angst considering the last conversation we had with Jack and the other Bakers)

and stabbed how many times? shock from losing a limb can kill you, blood loss can also kill you 

-In the Japanese release of the game it is both less violent and when Ethan is badly hurt you could definently see him bleeding black blood (also in Japan its called Biohazard 7 Resident Evil which I found interesting)

- according to the RE wiki the Mold in village is the original one that was turned into the series that birthed Evie and what happened to the Bakers and Ethan so who knows what will happen if it was completely destroyed and how that will affect Rose

so in other words I hope in the next game they don’t forget Ethan completely, I hope we see flashbacks (its best to assume that it will be a few years on) and if they can bring him back in some way

“it narratively makes 0 sense to fake the death of a character then bring them back and then immediately kill them off and i’m not saying it just because bellamy blake deserved better but like it’s actually bad writing” I found this yesterday when looking for the info sheets on writing realistic injuries and when I thought about it this is kind of what happened to Ethan sooo make of that what you will (other than I will never be over Bellamy’s death and Ethan’s death was handled so much better)

Please specify whether you’d like gender neutral, fem, or male reader. If not specified, I’ll default to either fem or gender neutral.

If a character is canonically in a relationship or a certain sexuality, I try to respect that. (Eg. I won’t write Arcade Gannon with a female s/o.)

Most of all, please be patient. I’m a full-time college student who also works so I tend to be fairly busy and might take a while to get to your request.

For matchups, please include a fairly detailed description of yourself including style, hobbies, personality, etc along with which fandom you’d like it for and which gender you'd prefer. Please also keep in mind that matchups normally take longer than headcanon requests.
