hiya! ahh thank you so much, i'm glad you found them interesting! and i perfectly understand your struggle :( it's a ritual at this point to watch their interactions so i can get a feel of them for ongoing fics, i'm considering rewatching a parade of providence at some point as a treat <3

and !! i agree! the fanfiction community is a circle of never ending ideas, so it's amazing how we all inspire each other! for characterisation here are some that stand out to me in my mind <3

Patron of the Arts - nevergreengale, volansvultar - ongoing and (hopefully not) discontinued, but a really interesting take in alhaitham asking kaveh to be his architect for him to move in! kaveh's inner monologue is just him, i especially love his musings about altruism, and the rift between him and alhaitham. a nice mystery going on with whatever is occupying alhaitham as well!

Strawberry High - etherealnara - this IS the drunk alhaitham fic for me, i love seeing him interact with inazuma characters, as well as being competitive. the dynamic between alhaitham and kaveh here is sighworthy, you can really feel the strain towards the end!

The City of Gold and Dust - Amayax - ongoing. pov switch with each chapter, mishaps with time and a really intriguing mystery! both voices truly shine here, i particularly love the prose of alhaitham dealing with grief, and how you can feel how much kaveh means to him, whereas kaveh can feel the burden of missing something obvious, but not knowing what. the contrast is lovely!

(self-recommendation) Change is Imp(ur)rative - completed. mentioning this because this is my fav piece of work i've done for them so far! really hoping the characterisation works, this is a slowbuild into the progression of their relationship, i'm a sucker for them actually talking and what them airing their grievances could look like <3

Old Habits, New Beginnings - thvndaga - completed. amnesiac alhaitham. this is such a lovely lovely fic with alhaitham entirely forgetting himself, but knowing that he's in love with kaveh, but kaveh refusing to believe it? very addictive to read and an incredible journey!

in the market for forgiveness - chaoticloutral - this is so cute, the rising tension over the mundane, the major misunderstanding based around (1) interaction. kaveh's perspective is perfectly rationalised, and alhaitham dogging after him to explain himself! also the atmosphere here! lovely!

best of r/relationship_advice - farozaan - completed. reddit style fic, this is HILARIOUS! kaveh coming to terms with his feelings about alhaitham (but really knowing all along) and alhaitham's quiet patinece is just so ahhh it's them <3

When Sun and Moon Align - Undercover_Owl - ongoing. a time travel fic with kaveh being flung back into his days as a student, attempting to fix his vision with his inquisitive best friend/junior alhaitham, all the while alhaitham is struggling to adjust to kaveh's disappearance in present day. LOVELY! the mystery and prose are enticing, and kaveh's shifting understanding of current alhaitham is so scrummy!

To Dream in Shades of Green - Intensely_Reading - completed. this is such an addictive fic, with kaveh being involved in an experiment (courtesy of yae miko) where his dreams become light novels, only for his dream to take the form of an otome game! so fun and the development between dream alhaitham and kaveh, with him comparing this relationship to real alhaitham is so well done! and real alhaitham going about to locate the cause of kaveh's anxiety is so real <3

six ways to friday - mousiekosmos - completed. this fic is INSANE. the prose is so lovely and alhaitham's perspective makes me want to eat my hand. so rational and logical and yet completely overthinking when it comes to matters concerning kaveh. the hesitance and misunderstanding in their initial relationship is so gutwrenching, and kaveh being the one to chase it !!! i thoroughly recommend

bad days, good days - emigmatic - a wonderful oneshot, kaveh's voice really shines through here, the uncertainties and his anxieties and tiptoeing around alhaitham, while alhaitham is so patient, just MWAH.

flower of my flower - bringingglory - completed. hanahaki alhaitham time. the mounting struggle of alhaitham's rationale in not telling kaveh and seeing kaveh worry from the side culminates perfectly! a very addictive read!

Briars and Roses 'Round Your Heart - sonotfine - completed. hanahaki kaveh time. one of my fav hanahaki aus! i love love the tension building from alhaitham's side as kaveh tries to downplay the progression of his sickness. the confrontation scene lives in my head, the suspense culminates perfectly!

When Lance’s previously obsolete skills in language suddenly become very useful, he finds himself wondering why aliens can’t account for the fact that humans, particularly him, need sleep and would prefer linear timelines. (Or: an Arrival AU because I love that movie)

yall OBSESSED does not begin to cover it. i have never read a fic where lance was so goddamn cool. and in like. the insanest of ways?? like of course lance is a polyglot but THIS....this is a whole new level. i havent even finished it fully yet but like god this thing is so fucking cool. if ur looking for a longfic stop looking

Lance wasn't like the rest of the world. And he had never had a loving mother tell him it made him stronger for it. So he'd keep this secret like a knife in his boot, a sharp weapon until he died on his own terms. Not because of who he was. Except, Team Voltron isn't so sure why Lance is all rough edges and sharp points about showing off his wings. Or acting like a member of the Flock in general. It's clear he cares for them, but he's never shown an intimate part of him. Until he has to.

oh god this has gotta be one of my CLASSIC fics. read it a few dozen times. i read it right when it came out, six ish years ago (goddamn), i can remember curling up in my old bunk bad and eating this up as the hours ticked by. i was HOOKED. my jaw was dropped my eyes were glued. could not get enough. if youre looking for mermaid lance with a twist....brother this is it

Like most things, it starts with the little things: his smile, his confidence, his talent. Eventually, all these little things add up to one big thing that threatens to crash over them like a heavy rain. But, maybe that wouldn't be a bad thing. Maybe something beautiful would come from it. But slowly, Lance found himself thinking of Keith less as a rival and more as something close to a friend. So of course, Lance’s traitor of a heart decided that it would be Lance’s kind of friend that it would fall in love with.

In the middle of the conversation, Lance stops talking and no one notices. It’s not like he had been leading the conversation, for he hadn’t been, but somehow the fact that his lack of input or opinion isn’t noticed tightens the grip loneliness has on his heart. He looks down at his food, his face burning, his throat tightening up.

now usually anything but team as family isnt my deal. im not big on classic langst. but keith as a knight in shining armour.....what can i say i am weak willed. deeply. also " It’s what made it worse. I miss home and I miss being held and the rain, and I loved you. I thought you hated me." got me so bad got me WEAK like i have never recovered from that line and i doubt i ever will

okay actually on the note of winners being watcher/watcher-detested (grian - watcher, scott - watchers hate him, pearl - fanon watcher, martyn - listener) i think either bigb or joel should win this season. for bigb, obviously he was part of nosy neighbors with pearl, and he was an evo member that wasn't stated to be disliked by the watchers, and also he so deserves a win <3 and then with joel he's not a watcher strictly speaking but he is, at the very least, liked by them because of how much bloodshed he provides. he just perpetuates the cycle and fuels the fire without even knowing about the watchers.

of course, other contenders could be argued (based on how much they satisfy the watchers' bloodthirst): jimmy, who is obviously HILARIOUS to them with his miserable, court jester-like experiences, could finally break his canary curse; scar, who was quite the loose cannon in the previous season, could finally avoid meeting another tragic end (which. his povs of other seasons are unrecognized in that aspect); geminislay, who can please step on me; and more!

Chris's POV

I smile as little kids run past, blowing bubbles and holding cotton candy. Bright colorful lights flash around my brothers and I in the dark of the night at the carnival.

Nick, Matt, and I haven't been to a carnival in so long, and it was open tonight for only a few tickets per ride.

"We should go on the zipper," Matt suggests, pointing up at the tall coaster.

"Uh, sure," I say, scratching my neck with a nervous laugh, never having trusted the quickly put together carnival rides.

We all go to stand in the line, and I look around, a little bored of the long line. I glance over at a crowd of girls, and that's when I see her.

The neon pink lights shine on her hair, lighting it up beautifully. Her features are so perfectly proportioned. My breath is practically torn from my lungs at the sight if her, and I know I need to meet her.

I begin walking towards her without warning, almost in a daze. All of a sudden, I get yanked back by the hood of my sweatshirt. "Where the fuck are you going?" Matt asks me, turning me towards him.

"Get off of me dude," I say, shrugging out of his grip. I frantically turn back, searching for the girl in the crowd. "What the fuck," I groan, catching no sight of her. I whirl around, my eyes straining to find her.

"What the hell?" Matt says, lifting an eyebrow. "What's gotten into you?"

I ignore him as I head back into the crowd, searching for the girl that caught my eye. I turn a few corners, and finally see her again. She's facing away from me, looking up at the huge ferris wheel.

I feel a sudden spike of nervousness at the thought of approaching her, then remember that if I don't ask for her number now, I'll never see her again.

I walk up to her.

I stand behind her for a few moments, then realize that I look like a fucking creep. Deciding that having her weirded out by me is worse than being turned down, I gently tap her arm once.

"Hey- uh, I mean, excuse me," I say, sheepishly smiling. The girl turns, still smiling. I notice her pupils dilate when she looks at me, making my breath hitch as butterflies swarm my stomach. I realize I've been staring for a moment, and snap out of my daze. "Um, I noticed you from far away, and uh, I was wondering if maybe I could have your number?" I ask nervously.

"Here, type in your number, Chris." My hands shake as I type in my phone number. I hand her back her phone, and she types for a few moments before I feel a buzz in my pocket. I open my phone and see a notification from an unsaved number, reading: 'Hey Chris!'.

I look back to her and smile. "D-Do you want to go on a date?" I ask stupidly. "I mean, sometime this week? Are you free on Friday?"

She nods. "Yeah, I'm free. Is five in the evening good for you? You can pick the place."

I swallow thickly. "Yeah, I'll pick you up then." I gaze at her for a moment before her friends call her name. She turns to look at them, then turns back to me.

"I'll see you later, yeah?" She says with a kind grin.

"Yeah," I say, and she walks back to her friends. I stand there for a moment before heading back to where I left Matt and Nick.

I find the Zipper to see them getting off of the ride. "Hey, where the hell did you go?" Nick asks.

"And what's got you cheesin' so hard?" Matt asks, laughing. I didn't even realize I was grinning until now.

I read the new chapter of Holy Suffering as soon as it came out and I love the way u write Lucifer. For the past few days I have been reading Radio apple fanfic and I hate how lucifer is portrayed in most of them, shy , innocent with Alastor after the fight, and kinda out of character for the both of them, cause they suddenly like each other, and I don’t see it in them. They like to piss each other off, that’s the whole ship point.

Ur Lucifer is so sassy, Hits all the Good Characterization checks in my brain, he’s such a delight to read, same for Alastor. U had me going speechless most of the time Alastor spoke, cause I honestly didn’t know what he was gonna say next. Writing Alastor it’s probably hard, cause he is misterious and always hides his emotions but You totally nailed it. Right now he is probably angry at Lucifer cause he ratted him out lol

Al be like the audacity of this man after he forced him to do this.🙄

Anywhizzle I just wanted to ask, for the overload meeting, is Charlie gonna send Lucifer with Alastor? Maybe as a snake or something, to make sure is he okay. Thank you ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ Hahah Lucifer's got bite to him, for sure. He doesn't come off as the shy type to me. Awkward as hell, certainly. In the throes of depression, absolutely. And he cares about Charlie's opinion of him to a fault. But when it comes to someone throwing their weight around--or, more accurately, getting involved with Charlie (cough Alastor helping Charlie with the hotel, couch Adam fighting/hurting Charlie cough) he isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty.

Alastor is hard to write ಥ_ಥ I love him so much, but sometimes, I want to cut open his head and properly study his brain because f;knslnjsbj out of all the characters, he's the hardest for me to pin down, in terms of both dialogue and actions. He has such a way of talking, and such a distinct voice (his radio filter) that it's simultaneously easy to imagine his voice, but hard to put it to dialogue. So, I really appreciate hearing that I nailed it (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`) Seriously, it's so appreciated to hear.

Nah, Alastor is going to be going to that one alone :3 It's going to be set in his POV, so we'll get some insight in his thoughts on the whole thing, and how he's handling his current affliction. I'm both excited to and nervous to get into it, because writing him in someone else's POV is hard, so writing him in his OWN POV is a little intimidating, but I'm mostly excited. I have a lot of thoughts for this series, and it's gonna be fun to explore them.

As for a schedule, I used to try to keep myself to one, and I've found that I have both a love/hate relationship with it. One the one hand, keeping a writing schedule is nice because it gives me a clear view of what I want to work on and an goal date to get it done, which is very nice for my ADHD brain.

BUT, on the other hand, when I start putting that pressure on myself to get it down, and I fail to actually reach that goal, it hits me pretty hard and it can take away my motivation and joy in writing the fic. It starts to feel more like a chore than a fun hobby I can do in my downtime.

Thankfully, I am DEEP in Hazbin Hotel hyperfixation, and the amazing feedback I've gotten from my fic's is certainly fueling my motivation. So thanks to everyone leaving kudos and comments! It's seriously so helpful and I cherish ever single one of them.

If I had to give an estimate for when the next installment of the series will drop, I'd say either at the end of this week, or the beginning/middle of next week. I have an unrelated AppleRadio one-shot I want to bust out before I work on the next installment, and that one I'm going to try and post by Thursday or Friday.

anywayyyyyyyy evildead... god.... theyre like alec and aisha to me (only sayign this bc theyre fresh in my mind). not necessarily romantic not necessarily platonic but a secret third thing. weird ass freaky emo kids that are kind of scary to anyone from an outside POV but are in reality deeply traumatized by their respective creepy aspects (ghost and demon). they areeeee so similar in so many ways but also couldnt be more different. but they understand each other better than any of the others could. going off of that thing about horror movies i posted earlier i think they give each other the worlds most misguided attempt at fucked up exposure therapy by watching the horror movies they dont like together. and it never ends well but they keep doing it and its like. a weird proabably unhealthy bonding experience. they go to concerts together this is so important to me. and its a lot and its overwhelming and sometimes they have to leave early because the loud noises and crowds are too much but they each have their little signals where the other can be like "ok lets get out of here" and they still have so much fun. and maybe they have to cry on the sidewalk outside in the cold before they either go back inside or give up and leave but they still have fun regardless. theyre messy and weird and freaks and they talk about things that would probably give other people nightmares but theyre so chill about it. i cant say much more abt specifics yet but . they have conversations like "do you wanna know what it felt like" (<< william referring to getting cut in half) and "i know its not real but i can still hear his voice in my head sometimes" (<< ashe referring to the trickster) and those conversations will come out of left field while theyre doing something completely unrelated but they always talk about it . i think they hurt each other more than they mean to but theyre inseparable regardless. "i know what raw meat tastes like now" vs "one time i found maggots under my skin" . i have really specific and unhealthy thoughts about evildead in my mind all the time.

Hi! Going ooc here.

I'm not ignoring asks on purpose. I have a large amount of asks that come in every day, and I try to answer as many as I can.

I also work full time from 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, where I can't have my phone out while working. When I get home, I have personal matters to attend to, such as my pets, making dinner, cleaning the house, and working on my cosplays (I have two big comic cons coming up in the next month). This leaves me a small amount of time to sit down and answer asks.

The amount of asks coming in can be overwhelming at times, and like I said, I try to answer as many as I possibly can. Sometimes the asks are a bit too overshare-y (some verge on traumadumping) for my liking, other times I physically don't know how to respond to them, even after being a roleplayer for 10+ years.

In regards to answering questions from Omega's POV, that was a one time thing for one day, and people seemed to enjoy it. I won't do it again. I'm sorry if I annoyed anyone with it, and I'll try to mention Omega less on this blog going forward.
