I will never forget painting this. It was the first painting I painted after becoming a mother. And it was A LOT. A desperate attempt at finding myself in the rubble left after birth A beautiful homecoming to the comfort of my art A desicive act of replenishing my soul A marvelous realisation that I CAN make time to do things I love and that I have to. And as I stared at the blank paper after MONTHS of not creating, I felt so intimmidated to even put my pencil down. I tried to come up with the *best* possible motive, perhaps something deep, something as a metaphor of motherhood, but I could not think of anything to save my life as it seemed too important after so long. I almost gave up alltogether. But then I saw it. In the texture of the paper there was a face. And long horns. And a cape made of leaves. So I just... Surrendered. And is that not the great cosmic gift of motherhood - to surrender? To surrender in birth when you think you cannot do it anymore. To surrender in postpartum to *not doing*. To surrender when days with toddlers don't go as planned. To surrender, rather than clench up. To breathe, rather than hold your breath anticipating danger or faliure. And for me, the other side of surrendering never fails to amaze me with abundance, love, excitement, novelty, LIFE. As well as this painting - showing me that time does not expire my creativity. It is ever-present. It is effervescent. It is my soul expression Unique to me Never again to be seen It IS me. I AM it. In 2016 I had my 2nd boy at 30 years old. I lost myself in the everyday life of taking care of a newborn. I stopped wearing makeup , I just threw on whatever I could find in the closet , I didn’t even attempt to lose the weight and only gained after the birth . This was a complete 180 from the “ hot girl “ era when I met Eddie . It affected my relationship with him because I had no love for myself. In 2018 I embarked on a journey of self care and love that eventually led me to a group of women that support one another in our health and wellness journeys . I just had my 3rd baby boy in Feb of this year and I am taking great care of myself. I have focused on nutrition that is good for my gut health and workouts that have 0 impact for my postpartum body ! I have lost 5 lbs and kept it off this last month and feel great getting back into my my fave TikTok leggings This postpartum has been a total 180 from the last !I love look . It's always unique and rewarding to look back on yourself and what you've accomplished. Whatever it may be...remember to take pictures! My transformation hasn't been easy, I haven't been perfect, I had some setbacks, I got lost, I got demotivated, BUT I stuck to it and always got right back up! Taking a leap of faith and doing an #NPC show this may 2017 has been HUGE in keeping me on track, and challenging me mentally and physically. I'm loving every step of the way! When you begin to love the process, and accept it for what it is, it becomes easier to accomplish. My #transformationtuesday is all about my #postpartum body after my two back to back babies (pic one is with my little premie Paisley who is now 2 1/2) and (pic 2 pumpkin belly was sweet Emmie when I was stuck in the hospital for a month fighting to keep her in the womb longer) & also all about my shapeless back and arms before all of this even in my wedding I was a string bean lol I am super proud of what I am now capable of. It feels amazing to have complete knowledge and control over my own body and it's functionality. Let's just say my arms don't get tired anymore when I hang a shower curtain 😂😂 for reals though I'm like #8weeksout and #freakingout it's coming so quickly!! There's been times where I still super doubt myself, but you gotta fight past it and realize you have all that you need already. I wake up everyday thanking myself for training hard because there are times where I'm juggling my two precious girls, chasing after them, jumping over baby gates, sprinting after a wanderer, and carrying in groceries by myself on one arm and a sleeping baby in another. Needless to say they are why I train, it is vital to my survival 😂🔥and it also helps with my sanity lol..#terribletwos are for real. This lifestyle gives me the power to keep running around like the energizer bunny and I'm super grateful for it. TV actor Smriti Khanna, who has impressed the internet with her body transformation days after giving birth, has responded to haters who claimed her postpartum images were photoshopped. She was heavily trolled after she shared her photos a week before and after giving birth to her daughter.
Responding to the trolls, Smriti posted a mirror selfie on her Instagram Story and wrote, “For people who think these pics are old, you really think I will put a cot in my room even before getting pregnant?” She also shared a video showcasing her perfectly fit body and wrote, “To all the haters who think my pictures are edited.” Smriti has also posted a mirror selfie, thanking her fans.
Smriti had shared a collage of her pre and post delivery images where a flat stomach and slim body could be clearly seen. The images used in the collage were from a week before and after the delivery. She wrote alongside her post, “Amazed at what the human body can do!! 1st pic was taken one week before I gave birth. Second pic, a week after I gave birth. My inbox is flooded with questions from new moms and moms-to-be. I’ll try and make a video soon answering all of them. While several users trolled her, she also had an army of fans defending her. “M a new mom and i can really recognize its a true pic… n nothing fake in it. And yes it completely depends on the genes n how you maintain yourself during pregnancy. Congratulations.. be happy. N dont give much attention to critics,” wrote one.
Speaking about her pregnancy, Smriti had recently said in an interview, “I was panicking before the lockdown happened. Gautam, my father and brother-in-law, everyone was going out to work and I was the only one staying at home. So, I was panicking a lot at that time because they used to come back home meeting lots of people. I was reading and there was not much information about pregnant women during the Coronavirus crisis. That was causing anxiety which is not good at this time. I was trying to keep myself calm. When the lockdown happened, I was a little relieved in fact. So that way, we are in a safer environment now but still, I am thinking of what will happen after the lockdown. The best thing is you have to have faith in God. The babies are going to be super strong now to be born in this environment and also the moms. I really feel for them. I also have a few friends who are due and we keep encouraging each other.”
Earlier this month, Smriti had shared the news of arrival of her daughter with a picture and wrote, “Our princess has arrived 15.04.2020.” Several of her showbiz industry colleagues and friends showered the post with love. Dia Mirza expressed her happiness as she wrote: “Oh YAYYYYYYYY SO SO SO HAPPY!!! This is the best news. Can’t wait to meet our little angel” while actor Ruslaan Mumtaz commented, “Hey, such great news. congratulations so happy for you guys @smriti_khanna.”

Bulking breakfast of champions lol add me as a friend on 'my fitness pal' it's an awesome app that allows you to log any food you eat, your water intake, and your exercise. It also syncs with many other fitness apps and fitness watches so you get complete accuracy in what you're doing. It charts our your daily diary macros so it's easy to see how you did that day. Plug in your current stats and goals and it will give you recommendations to stay on track. Logging has been critical for me to keep a good balance in my prep for my upcoming show. 812 calorie breakfast (my biggest meal of the day pre workout) -3 whole eggs organic -half cup strawberries organic -1 packet of weight control cinnamon Quaker quick oats -2 slices of bacon organic - 1% low fat milk 16oz and a squirt of Hershey's chocolate (because balance ;) ) Because I need the calories to fuel my day, my workout, and my growing muscles this breakfast is critical to me and after I eat it I feel amazing and ready to start my day.
