Liz: And how should I look at this? Red: Like a criminal. May come easier than you think. Shall I show you? The Blacklist.
PART ONE
🕵️♂️
This line makes a parental connection between Liz and Red.
Episode 4.22
The second crucial line in the pilot that showrunners confirm was an Imposter clue is the “Everything about me is a lie” line.
Parental connection via the criminal parallel +
Red is not her father but an imposter of her father. =
Red is The Mother.
Wild ass speculation:
The mother died of WEAKNESS AND SHAME as per what Red told Liz in the pilot. Interestingly, that line about weakness and shame was different on the draft pilot script dated 2012 that somehow made it online and fans have decided to dissect it carefully. LOL.
In the original draft, her mother worked two jobs to keep Liz in school and out of juvenile court. Some anti-Redarina fans say this is evidence that Red was originally not supposed to be the mom as the mom would have raised Liz until she was 14. That same draft has Liz's age as 36 later changed to 29/30. Liz: There was a fire. I was fourteen. Mr. Kaplan: You tell people you got it when you were 14. Why is that? Liz: To hide the truth?
I disagree that any of this disproves Redarina. It is possible that her mother still could have disappeared and re-emerged as the imposter.
Liz's age was changed to 4 because maybe they realized that if Liz was 14, she could've remembered Red or saw something in him like his eyes. Changing her age to four years old IMHO, would've made it less likely for Liz to remember details, like Red's eyes. In the Luther Braxton Conclusion episode, it seemed Liz recognized that Red was at the fire by his EYES. She saw her mother in Red's eyes in the season 8 finale so. Add in the fact that Red had her memories erased.
And anyway, if they had kept it that the mom worked two jobs, etc, etc.. She still went somewhere and was out of the picture> Liz told Cooper she raised herself so both parents were out of the picture. Liz: Like most kids who raised themselves, I can display narcissistic behavior. I can be withdrawn, disconnected.
THINK LIKE A CRIMINAL. The showrunners talk about Liz’s darkness and how she's becoming more like Red.
SEASON 3 - THE AU REVIEW
(When Liz and Red went on the run)
John Eisendrath: In terms of where Liz is heading, I think she’s struggling with this notion that there’s a piece within her that is criminal. Red told her in the very first episode of the show ‘think like a criminal, it may come easier to you than you may expect’ and I think that sort of haunts her, and now, even though she has whispers of a criminal past that we’ve alluded to, now that she’s being confronted with actually being a criminal, she’s had to rely on these instincts that she wants to ignore and pretend like they’re not there – and now she needs them.” So, not only is Liz forced to embrace a darker side that might be within her, we’re also getting to go out and travel with Red and to see him take the reigns and see how he operates and where he goes and stays in ways that we haven’t really seen before. Liz is going to take the audience by the hand and go into Red’s world a little bit more and learn about how he moves and operates which is going to be a lot of fun.
SEASON 5 TV GUIDE - SEASON 5
Daddy issues. If you thought the discovery that Red is her father would put an end to Liz's identity crisis once and for all, think again. "Her father is essentially the devil," Bokenkamp says. "She's confronting some frightening questions about who she is and what's in her DNA and that fight between good and evil. ... Liz is going to be combating that instinct to perhaps break the rules and fighting a darker side of herself that she knows is probably right under the surface." But in some twisted way, embracing her true nature may make Liz even better at her job. "Is she like Reddington?" Bokenkamp wonders. "He told her early, 'Think like a criminal. It may come easier than you think.'"
SEASON 5 ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
How is Liz dealing with the truth that Red is her father?
Jon Bokenkamp: It’s going to be interesting to watch it play out, because I think she’s secretly terrified, or maybe not so secretly terrified, that the devil is her father and that she may have some of those instincts. He told her in the pilot, “Think like a criminal. It may come easier to you than you think,” and we’ve seen aspects of that. She murdered the Attorney General and has been on the run in the past. And so, I think she’s going to plant her flag early on that she’s a cop first and that is probably going to be a season-long struggle for her.
Elizabeth Keen No. 1 on The Blacklist.
SEASON 8 ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
Megan Boone: I was definitely hoping it would be Liz at No. 1, but I didn't want to presume," Boone says. "I have to say… it's an honor.
SEASON 8 ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
John Eisendrath: From the second Reddington walked into her life, a dark path was always a possibility for Liz. "One of the dramatic questions from the beginning is how this master criminal's desire to connect with this innocent FBI agent would change her life," Eisendrath explains. To find Blacklisters, Reddington has encouraged Liz to understand the mindset and think like a criminal. "She's learned at the feet of a master," he adds. The FBI agent's key moments, including learning she has the Warrior gene in her DNA and covering up a murder she committed, coupled with what Reddington has been teaching her, have been leading her to this place. Now, she's been pulled far enough into the dark side to be at the top of Red's list.
Red told Cooper that what Liz did by betraying them in this episode and kidnapping Dom was her “destiny.” What does that mean?
SEASON 8 THE WRAP
Bokenkamp:
I think what Red was talking about goes to the core of who Liz is. Is she fundamentally good? Is she fundamentally bad? Has she reached a tipping point that she can’t return from, or was this meant to be because it’s in her DNA? We’ve seen Liz dip her toes in the dark waters over the years — she’s certainly not that innocent, young FBI agent that we met in the pilot — and this season is going to explore her darker side. I think the real question lies in seeing how she navigates these dark waters and, if she does survive this, how she looks when she comes out the other side.
Eisendrath:
This has been a question since the pilot. First when she thought Red was her father; later when she realized Katarina Rostova was her mother — how much of a parent’s behavior is a child destined to repeat? In Liz’s case, how much bad behavior?
The murder of Attorney General Tom Connolly (Reed Birney) was more about Liz than it was about her executing him. "It reflected to the audience about how far Liz is willing to go," Bokenkamp says. "That murder is very telling of who she was, and perhaps even who she was in the process of becoming." It got at the core of a debate the writers had for years, which was whether she's destined to embrace her darkness or it was free will that she chose to do these things. Liz's desperate action was not just a considerable character turn, but it sent her on the road with Reddington. Spending time with him meant seeing that she was more like him than she wanted to admit. - Entertainment Weekly
The Warrior Gene - Dr.Linus Creel Episode 2.04
The episode did not confirm that Liz had the warrior gene though it was implied. In later interviews, the showrunners confirm that Liz DID possess it.
Samar: I received everything Creel had on file at the hospital patient records, test results Including yours. We logged everything else into evidence, but I thought perhaps you would want that. It’s probably meaningless, right? Do you think Reddington could have known, when he gave you this case, that you’d find out?

FNAF AU Pizzeria Simulator Redux Part 3 (Final)
So, some misc stuff:
Getting jumpscared in the Salvage sequences results in a hospital trip, it’s not just exclusive to the Fredbear battle. Pretty sure I mentioned that in the first submission when I first proposed this idea, but it’s been a while.
But I was also thinking it could be interesting if, after getting hospitalized, Jimothy could have a special phone call:
“Uh, hello hello? Erm, boss, are you sure you should be working? I just heard you spent the night in the hospital! It uh, sounded pretty serious. Nobody would blame you if you decided to take a sick day. Especially if you were mauled by a wild animal like some folks are saying.
”…
“Well uh, I guess you know your limits better than me. Just uh, be careful. I kinda need you to sign my paycheck. Eh-heh…
"Th-that was a joke.
"I’ll uh… Catch ya on the flip side, boss.”
Click!
The playtests for the Toy Animatronics is basically just a system check in Parts and Service.
Custom Nightmare is basically the Custom Night Equivalent, complete with challenge presets.
You have twelve enemies to deal with (Chica, Bonnie, Freddy, and Foxy in their Withered, Toy, and Ghost incarnations), in Charlie’s house, using the same mechanics as the Fredbear boss.
At 6AM, the classic “Westminster Chimes as the clock strikes 6” plays in place of the 6:00 alarm, as this isn’t part of the main game. Getting caught by a Withered or Toy Animatronic leads to a scene, from Charlie’s POV, of her jolting awake in her bedroom, with a message noting “Charlie did not sleep that night.”
Clearing the challenge presets unlocks entries in Charlie’s diary, except for the “All enemies set to 20” preset, which instead unlocks a special ending (either Charlie speaking to her therapist about her nightmares, something to set up her hiring Mike, or both).
It’s called “Custom Nightmare” because it’s a recurring nightmare Charlie’s been having as a result of her encounter with Withered Fredbear.
As there’s no way for the mediocrity ending to happen here (no time limit), the Certificates Charlie can get are as follows:
Bankruptcy (have your funds drop below zero due to legal fees)
Blacklisted (as mentioned before, 10 or more outstanding lawsuits at once)
Death (have funds drop into the negative as a result of a hospital bill)
Success (Survive to 6AM when Fredbear attacks)
Completion (Get everything you possibly can and THEN defeat Fredbear to unlock the special post-credits screen)
Fortitude (beat 12/20 mode in Custom Nightmare)
The death ending is the only one without a narrated cutscene, instead only showing a shot of Charlie’s headstone in complete silence.
The Extras Menu, also unlocked by surviving Withered Fredbear, allows the player to replay the Salvage Sequences for Chica, Bonnie, Freddy, and Foxy.
In addition to the content you’d normally see on a FNaF game’s extras menu (behind the scenes development stuff, jumpscares, models of all the animatronics, etc).
In terms of the Pizzeria, the player can accept sponsorships for easy cash, in exchange for ads playing on their monitors periodically.
The game cycles through the available sponsorships, and each sponsorship deal expires exactly one week after its accepted, at which point the player can choose to renew it, or leave it be. Golden Freddy can “corrupt” ads if one plays on a Monitor he’s attacking, and you can’t switch the monitor off until the ad is either skipped or completed.
And that’s all I can really think of in regards to game mechanics and story.
-
It works well!

why are you on a twitter byf?
hi, youre actually not the first person to tell me this tonight! i Also have no idea why im on a blacklist. i want to clear some stuff up because i was told this three (3) times. i dont exactly like that i have to reply to this publicly because i dont even make personal posts but i think this whole thing is out of hand and has been for a while.
im putting this under a Read More because its long and im finally able to air out some of my feelings about the situation.
TLDR: devin has lurked and kept tabs on me for three years and its exhausting that i have to address it like this of all places. if you need proof or anything feel free to dm me.
this is soooo. okay so i met this person in 2019 from the best of my memory because ive been trying for about an hour to get onto my old blog but i cant remember the login at all, and she and i had done a few dms just about whatever. and then she wanted to make these two kin doubles who hated each other or something be friends again, please note we all shared the same kin, and stirred up some problems.
then, after this happened, her host (or she did? regardless she admitted that she was involved in the creation) had made a callout blog for one of them despite my attempt to steer this off from happening, and i was ignored. i think my last message to her directly, and im not kidding here, was in jan 2020 (three full years ago!).
after this i made the choice, for myself, to soft her on tumblr. i no longer wanted anything to do with the situation, i think kin drama is stupid and im sure it was more personal than kin things from what she had told me, but i had no intention of being involved further. or know any of these people. like at all. after i softed her, she made a post about taking a hiatus after she deleted the callout blog and thats it from what i know about her tumblr because it was deleted soon after iirc.
8 months later she tried to follow my twitter, and i recognized her. i considered it a lottt, but i really didnt want that kind of energy stirring up things again in my life because 2020 was an absolute fucking Disaster of a year enough. so i softed her from my twitter because of this for my own mental health.i havent had a direct message with her since early 2020.
i know nothing about her, her life, anything because i wanted as much distance from that whole situation as possible. i didnt get to know her well enough with her to call her my friend or anything, and everything that happened so soon after we did start talking really made me not feel like i wanted to be friends or get to know her better if this was her vibe. she has made posts about missing me, when i feel as though i never warranted the title of friend at all because she basically just vented to me a couple times before this started and i didnt and still dont have the energy to deal with that kind of person.
i have found out, however, she has fucking LURKED me likely for three years. shes posted about how ensemble stars reminds her of an ex friend (which, she didnt get to know me enough to be my friend, and its pretty obvious this post is about me because my special interest is ensemble stars) and i got into it in mid 2020 so she shouldnt possibly know i ever got into it without lurking me. its some creepy shit ill be honest with you.
she knew and made posts about how my psychotic ass had delusions about being w/ilbur ds-p from nov 2021- mid 2022 because i like. Was in a horrible state and related to how self destructive he was or whatever but i got better and got my life together and dont do that at all anymore. i dropped it and i have most terms blacklisted (and the series itself) because it reminds me of those racist assholes and also of a horrible time in my life im still recovering from.
i have no fucking clue how this could affect her or she would even know. seeing as this was wayyyyy beyond the time i knew her. however this proves she was lurking me to myself and people who know me personally… we're all insanely confused. shes had no reason to keep up with anything about me for three years and im pretty much sick of it haha. ive been quietly freaking out over how scary shes been acting about me and whatever idealized version of what or who i was she had assumed during the very short time i knew her because i didnt want to start anything.
thank you for reading this. i hope this stops soon because i dont want to keep dealing with something thats happened 3 years ago and it happened because i didnt even want to be involved in things. its just unfair and makes me feel insanely uncomfortable im still a hot topic for her even though she hasnt messaged me or anything since following my twitter and being softed. it makes me feel weird and its just weird to me.

Okay so I jokingly mentioned I have an entire rant on twitter and then people wanted to see it so I’m gonna crosspost here too cause why not
(Note: includes spoilers for Major Grom and Plague Doctor comics, has nothing to do with the movie. It’s regarding what I strongly predict will happen in volume 8, which comes out next week)
(Second note: I’m gonna tag this with ‘long post’ even though it’s behind a cut for the sake of mobile users to go blacklist literally right now if they’re not interested cause I included the relevant comic panels and thus it’s LONG sdklsdklsdks)
Anyway: why Sergey must be the one to personally rescue Oleg in volume 8, from a narrative point of view
In order for Sergey and Oleg's relationship, regardless of how you want to define it, to move forward with positive momentum, this /must/ happen. The narrative demands it in order to bring closure. Why? Well, let's get into it by analyzing what we have so far
1) While I do fully believe Oleg trusts and forgives Sergey (and I’m not gonna go into proof of that here, as others have before), there is a constant spectre hanging over them. A spectre in the shape of 5 bullets. We are reminded constantly of it, largely in the form of Sergey's guilt, which is something we haven't gotten any real closure on yet. Sergey believes himself only capable of destruction, which is literally represented using a picture of him and Oleg.
The rift in their relationship is why Sergey doubts himself. The lasting physical effects bother him as well and we are all but beaten over the head with it - Sergey can't forget and neither can we, the audience. Oleg, too, has to live with this, even if he has made his peace with it
In fact, his long term injuries are what cause him to be captured in the first place. This situation, from a narrative pov, is thus Sergey's fault - if not for the 5 bullets, it's implied Oleg could've won. But no, he's captured and tortured, because of what Sergey did
What Oleg does or doesn't think of that is honestly irrelevant; the narrative is what's setting this up as a direct consequence. Also, whether or not Oleg has forgiven Sergey is also irrelevant because Sergey hasn't forgiven himself. This is what the story has presented and thus what it needs to conclude.
2) We are all also aware that Oleg has rescued Sergey more than once, even when it was ill-advised. The first time, sure, there's some risk, but it’s still in the range of manageable. But the second time? Not only was it more dangerous, given all that was going on in the immediate aftermath, he’s also risking himself to rescue someone who shot him 5 times. Oleg is cautious; he keeps Sergey in a cell presumably until he feels safe freeing him, but he still did it. He planned it, had that place ready, faked their deaths, all of it. He did that after the 5 bullets
So Sergey isn't lying when he tells Lera they don't leave their people behind. Oleg has been there for Sergey before, rescued him no matter the dangers, continues to stay by his side, and even cares enough to make sure he sleeps. Given this, how could Sergey not be ready and willing to return the favour?
3) Every outside character who knows anything about their relationship believes it to be imbalanced. The mercenary, Altan, Vadim, and even Lera. They all say this, they all point out the 5 bullets, that oh, Oleg, why does he stay?
While they don't have the insight us readers do, this tension is here for a reason, especially coupled with the previous two points. Even if we know better, the narrative is offering us a kernel of doubt. Does Sergey really care? Will he go as far for Oleg as Oleg has for him? Did he really mean those apologies? Or are the others right? Even Oleg, although I do think he's lying to protect Sergey, says he has doubts. Vadim seems certain Sergey will come, yet still calls Oleg “Mr. Stockholm Syndrome”.
The equality of their relationship is continually called into question - why do that if it's not going to be resolved? Why play this 'will he, won't he' game if he won't? Why set us up for disappointment? If Sergey doesn't go, all of this will remain unresolved and their relationship can only get worse, not better. The spectre will never leave them alone.
(One note here: I believe most of these perspectives are from unreliable narrators, given what details they give and that their accounts conflict with what we actually see. But these perspectives are included for a reason – imo, so that Sergey can prove them wrong)
4) The other thing the narrative tells us is that Sergey can be impulsive. Yes, he's brilliant, frighteningly so, but it's Oleg that is constantly urging caution. Sergey is aware there are risks, yet he forges ahead anyway, restrained (sometimes) only by Oleg's advice.
Why would that change now? If anything, with how distressed Sergey seems to be, I'd argue he'd be even /more/ impulsive than usual because he's too emotional to think right.
And who's going to urge caution, if not Oleg? Lera? I doubt he would listen if she did and, to be frank, why would she care if Sergey gets hurt? She knows him primarily as the one forcing her into a situation that is having serious negative effects on her life. Her secondary knowledge is that he's a murderer and terrorist. Much as it's fun to think of them all having a friendly relationship, Plague Daughter and all that, that’s not where they are right now. She might from a logical point of view, just because it is very obviously a trap, but Sergey knows that - her saying it isn't going to convince him of anything. Even if she did try, I don't think it'd have any effect.
5) And lastly, Lera is absolutely not ready for this fight. This isn't some regular asshole on the streets; Vadim is a professional killer. He beat Oleg in a fight and, even with his injuries, we all saw the kitchen fight. We know what Oleg is capable of. I love Lera with my whole being and she is a badass, but she's not ready for this. She had trouble with Kamenny, who honestly may have let her win under Altan's instructions.
Even still, Vadim is MUCH better and, much as Altan wants PD alive, I don't think he much cares in what condition. Best case scenario is that Lera gets captured too, and Vadim likely wouldn't hesitate to kill her, and then Sergey has to go himself anyway. Lera may come to help, but Sergey needs to be there. If Sergey really is better than Oleg at present, he's the one who needs to fight Vadim (with a plan, obviously, and maybe some extra backup).
In conclusion, all of this comes together to say one thing: Sergey needs to go. He needs to prove to himself, to the audience, and most of all to the narrative that no, this relationship isn’t one-sided, and that he will go as far for Oleg as Oleg has gone for him. The narrative made this a big point of tension, insisted upon it, beat us over the head with it, and now has teased at Sergey’s opportunity to put up or shut up. It has to be Sergey, both practically because Lera isn’t ready yet, and in order to be a satisfying story. Because if he doesn’t, that tension isn’t resolved. His guilt will only grow after failing Oleg once again, despite Oleg sticking with him through everything, and it would have been by his own choice, not because of the Bird’s influence or anyone else. He will know it. Oleg will know it. We will know it. And their relationship can only sour from there. There will be no more possibility for positive momentum, only negative.
As a last point, I will also say that I’m aware my anxieties may be unfounded. These creators do seem to legitimately care about these characters, telling a good story, and satisfying the audience. But I’ve been burned by pieces of media where that is not the case, so it’s hard for me to trust and not doubt, even with creators who have, so far, not let me down lmao.
Anyway, thank you for coming to my tedtalk, I’m sure I missed something I would’ve liked to add but holy shit this is absurdly long already sdklsdklsk so uh bye ✌️

Lost In Zero Gravity (P.3)
Title: Lost In Zero Gravity (Part Three) Summary: Fem!Reader x Mob Boss!Tony Stark x Mob Boss!Steve Rogers. Reader is a call girl who runs high end parties. She catches the attention of Tony Stark who invites her back to his room with his friend. She might have performed too well because she becomes their new favorite play toy and they don’t like to share. Words: 2,574 Warnings (for the fic in entirety): Smut, prostitution, infidelity, angst, domestic violence, stalking, possessive behavior
Part Two || Part Four || Masterpost (mobile) || Fanfic masterpost
There were hands on you and you tried to push them away, frightened.
A man’s voice said quickly, “Sorry, sorry. I’m here to help. I’m gonna get you some help.”
“I… no, no ambulance,” you got out.
“You do not look good at all, love,” the man said, his hand cupping the back of your head to keep you steady as you tried to push yourself up off the ground. “You should stay down.”
You shook your head, “No… I live close.”
You stumbled getting to your feet, falling back against the wall. You groaned painfully, holding your head and slid back down the wall to sit back down on the ground. Your vision was swimming.
“You can’t walk on your own. I’m calling an ambulance.”
“I—”
“It’s okay,” the man said, and you heard him saying, “Yes, I’m on Newman Avenue—”
<><><>
Tony was calling again. He had called a couple days ago, texted yesterday, and you had not responded. You were too afraid to speak to him; you knew you would probably cry because you would have to explain why you could not meet up with him. It went to voicemail again and you sat there staring at your phone. You did not want to lose him permanently as a customer; you liked his attention. You were actually starting to develop feelings which was a big no-no but you could not pull yourself away.
It had only been a week since Jared had messed you up in the alley and your face did not look great. Your eyes were black from your broken nose and he had left quite a shiner on your cheek. Your ribs were still sore too from where he had kicked you, bruising them.
You crawled off your bed and walked to the door, throwing it open. You made your way downstairs, passing one of the other girls on the way down, who rubbed your arm affectionately. You gave her a small smile before continuing on to Tatiana’s office. You knocked on the door lightly, seeing her through the crack of the open door.
“Yes?” she said, looking up from her desk.
“Can I come in?”
“Of course, stellina,” Tatiana said, sitting up straight at her desk. Her eyes ran over your face and you saw her expression tighten. “How are you feeling?”
“Like shit still.”
“I can imagine.”
You shifted and asked, “Can you do me a favor?”
“What is it?”
You held up your phone and said, “Tony called me a couple days ago… texted too. And he just called again. I… I don’t think I can talk to him about it. And I don’t want him to think I’m mad or anything or that I’m done with them. Could you call him and explain?”
Tatiana nodded immediately, “Of course. I have some time now.”
You grabbed a piece of paper off her desk and copied his number down for her. You pushed it across the desk, “Thank you.”
She held up her hand and said, “Wanna sit here while I do it? Just in case… something comes up.”
You hesitated but nodded and sunk into one of the chairs across from her desk.
“You know this is mutually beneficial for me to do this,” she told you. “If they like you as much as they seem to, maybe they will shower you still with gifts.”
“I’m not worried about that,” you cut in quickly.
“Regardless, having them keep up pay possibly in the meantime will help out. Not to be crass.”
You nodded, “I understand.”
Tatiana picked up her desk phone and dialed the number you had written down. “He might not answer,” she said as it began to ring. “Won’t recognize the number.” She sighed, hearing it go to voicemail. Briefly, she left, “Mr. Stark, please give me a call back at this number regarding my employee that you’ve been trying to reach. Thank you.”
She kept it vague. Smart.
When Tony called her back almost immediately, she smirked. “Looks like I was clear enough…”
“Hello, Mr. Stark,” Tatiana said, answering the phone, putting it on speaker. “This is Tatiana Bianchi.”
“Did I get blacklisted?” was the first thing out of his mouth.
Her face scrunched, “No, you didn’t.”
“Then why is Y/N not responding to me?”
“Y/N is not working.”
There was a pause. “Did she leave the service?”
“Kind of. She is taking a break.”
Tony’s voice was rougher this time, “So she’s on vacation? She could have at least told me that.” You flinched at that. “I’ve called a couple times and texted.”
“I don’t know how to put this lightly, but her ex found her,” Tatiana said. And added quickly, “Her asshole of an ex. He left his fucking mark. Broke her damn nose, bruised her ribs. Gave her a concussion. I think he would have done worse if some Good Samaritan hadn’t intervened before he could do anymore damage. Bastard stole her money too and her purse. The job she was working was close to here and he said he had been following her, so he knows where this place is. She doesn’t want to see anyone, understandably. I wouldn’t put her out there either right now. And in regards to her responding to you, she asked me to talk to you about it because she’s upset. Again, understandably.”
Tatiana was watching you across the desk as she spoke. You were chewing on your lip, listening to her explain it to him.
“I wanna see her,” Tony said tightly after a few moments.
“Mr. Stark—”
“I want to see how bad it is. Talk to her about it.”
Tatiana locked eyes with you and she asked, “Can I put you on hold?”
“Sure,” he said curtly.
She pressed the hold button and looked at you expectantly.
“I don’t want him to see me looking like a trainwreck.”
“Y/N,” Tatiana said in a quiet voice. “You know why he’s asking to talk to you.”
“Yeah, he feels bad and I get that—”
“No,” Tatiana cut in, shaking her head. “I think he wants to talk to you about it for a reason. A very specific reason. You know what he does, you know who he is. You really think he couldn’t handle that little dickhead?”
You shook your head, “I… I don’t think that’s what he means.”
She gave you a knowing smile, “Okay. So, maybe he does just want to come and give you flowers. Is there anything wrong with that?” You stared at her for a few moments, and she pressed, “He seems like he’s a pretty stubborn person. What’s to say he won’t just show up anyway? Why not do it on your own terms and permission?”
“Okay.”
Unmuting the call, Tatiana said, “Sorry about that. I needed to talk to her to see how she felt about it. She agreed.”
“I can come early in the morning. Like 5. Before it gets light.”
“I’m sure that would be fine.”
“Alright, I’ll be there. Thank you for the call,” Tony said.
“Goodbye,” Tatiana said to him before he hung up the phone.
“God, that’s so early,” you muttered, slumping back in the chair.
Tatiana quipped, “You better get a good night’s rest then so you’re up and ready.”
You pushed yourself out of the chair and said, “Easy for you to say. You’re essentially a vampire.” That caused her to smirk. You thanked her, “Thank you for doing that.”
She nodded, “Of course.”
<><><>
There was a loud knock on your bedroom door that drug you from your sleep. Your eyes snapped open, and you quickly realized you must have turned your alarm off completely when it went off. You swore under your breath, checking your phone. It was 5:07am. You got out of bed, rubbing at your eyes and walked over to your door.
When you opened it just a crack, you saw Tony and Steve standing there with a couple of their men standing behind them in the hall. You saw their jaws set seeing you, taking in your face. Even if it was just illuminated by the light coming in from the hall, you were sure the bruises were visible enough.
“Um, morning,” you stammered. “Sorry, I didn’t get up in time. I’m still in my pajamas…”
Tony rose his brows, “You wanna let us in?”
You swallowed sharply but opened the wider, stepping back to let the two of them file in. You turned from them and walked over to your bed, flipping on the lamp to give soft light in the room. Their men stayed in the hall and Steve closed the door behind him.
There was no way to hide now, and you turned back to them, playing with the hem of your t shirt, shooting an embarrassed look at them.
“Christ,” Steve muttered upon fully seeing you.
You eyed the large bouquet he was holding but before he could hold it out to you, Tony came up to you. He was staring down at your face and you could see the fury in his expression. He reached up, turning your face gently to get a better look at your cheek.
His jaw clicked before he asked, “He found you on the street, Tatiana said?”
“Yeah. He followed me, I guess. Has been following me it sounded like. I hadn’t seen him in a year and a half almost.” You gestured at your face, explaining honestly, “It’s not anything new. I didn’t leave him for no reason.”
“You wanna give me a name?” Tony deadpanned.
Your heart race increased. Tatiana had been right. “Not really,” you told him quietly.
“A name, Y/N” Tony repeated.
“I just won’t walk alone,” you tried to reason and side step it.
Steve snorted, shaking his head and your gaze was drawn to him. He shook his head again when he saw you looking. “No. That’s not how this is gonna work. This,” he gestured at your face. “is fucking unacceptable at best.”
“I don’t care to give you a name. Really. I appreciate—”
“Y/N,” Tony’s voice was firm as he cut you off.
You were pleading practically now, “I’m serious. I don’t care and I don’t want to deal with him.”
“I came here before dawn to figure out how I’m gonna kill this little prick. I would appreciate it if you would help me out, darling,” Tony told you tensely. “I don’t take lightly to men hitting women. Especially women I’m invested in. And you won’t be dealing with him. We will be you. You don’t have to be involved at all.”
Tatiana was right about him being stubborn, although you already knew that. He was not going to leave without the information that he wanted.
“Jared Easton. I don’t know where he lives now though.”
“Where did he live last you knew?” Steve asked.
“We lived in Chelsea. I don’t know if he’s still there.”
Tony took his phone out of his pocket and opened up his note app. He held the phone out to you and said, “You can put the address in here.” There was no room for a discussion, he was telling you to do it.
Grinding your teeth, you took the phone reluctantly. Your hands shook slightly as you typed in the address of the townhouse that the two of you had shared. When you handed the phone back to him, Tony’s demeanor relaxed. His hand came up to hold your neck, staring into your eyes.
“You don’t have to be afraid of him,” Tony told you softly. You nodded, tears pricking your eyes and you tried to hold them back desperately. Tony sighed, reaching up and wiping away one that escaped with his thumb. “We will see to that. We promise.”
He gave you a hug and your heart skipped a beat as he kissed the top of your head. This was a different kind of intimate than normal. You liked it, despite all the warnings to not get attached.
When he stepped back, he said, “There’s breakfast downstairs for you whenever you get hungry. I know a lot of people don’t like to eat super early. But Steve’s smart, thought it would be good to bring it. He remembered you liked that place in Williamsburg. I think he only remembered because you liked somewhere in Brooklyn.”
That caused you to give a little laugh which is what Tony had been aiming for you guessed.
Tony’s eyes ran over your face and he gave a small smile. “There. That’s better. I don’t like it when you look sad, baby.”
He stepped back and Steve stepped up, holding the flowers out to you. You took them and you thanked him. Steve leaned forward, giving you a kiss on the top of the head as well.
“When you’re feeling better, let us know,” Steve said as they made their way back to your bedroom door.
<><><>
After they left, you brought the flowers out to the dining table, putting them in the center.
Elisha appeared in the doorway and looked around. She was still in her pajamas but she did not look tired; like she had been up. That was odd because she loved sleeping in. But you got your answer soon enough.
“So, they did come.” You nodded. She smiled sheepishly, “Sorry, the knock woke me up and I waited up to talk to you about it. If you want to.”
“It’s fine.”
“They brought flowers?”
“And breakfast.”
“Aww,” Elisha said coming over closer and leaning in to smell the flowers. “That’s super sweet of them. So… did they do what Tatiana thought they were going to do?” You nodded and her eyes widened. “Did you give them anything?”
“They forced me to basically. They weren’t going to let it go.”
“Why are men so goddamn protective of whoever they’re bedding?”
You shrugged, “I hope nothing bad comes from it.”
“You should be happy.” Tatiana’s voice startled the two of you. She walked further into the room, and said seriously, “They’re doing you a favor. You should relish in that type of protection. Not many are afforded it. And don’t worry about them messing it up. They’re professionals, Y/N.”
“I just don’t want anyone dead because of me,” you said. “Even if it’s him.”
“Well, then let them do it for me. Because when I came into that ER room, I wanted to find the little bastard and gut him myself. So, better them than me getting my hands dirty. Assholes like him won’t stop with a restraining order or charges against them, so this is the best course of action.” She paused before forcing you to look at her directly. “Y/N though, my dear… just know what this means. This is big. A very, very big favor they’re doing. Sure, it is going to satisfy them but they are killing someone for you. That is not something to brush off. You need to show appreciation for it. Elisha is right. Men are very protective of whoever they are bedding and they also like to be praised for it too. Do you get that?” You swallowed sharply, giving a curt nod. “Good.”
She clapped her hands, her mood changing quickly. “Now, let’s get you some of that breakfast because I saw what it was and it looks delicious. It’ll cheer you up. Go, go!”

Hi. I love your blog! I’m in the middle of a second major depressive episode (my first was in my teens) and like you were, I’m unemployed and living with my parents. I’m now on medication and getting help and applying for jobs, but no luck so far. How did you ‘turn your life around’ and how long did it take you – going from depressed to starting a successful career in the non-profit world? Any advice on how I could do the same?
Oh, Anon. I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this but in no way did I turn my life around, and I definitely didn’t build a career intentionally.
A lot of the below is general advice -- you are already doing great! -- but I figure some people who are where you are but not quite as far along could be helped by it. Thanks for the opportunity :)
So, here’s the thing: depression is the kind of mental illness that can just be with you for the rest of your life even when it’s not impacting your life. Some depression is situational and therefore (theoretically) escapable, but some of us are just never going to forge enough serotonin on a regular enough schedule. So it’s not a matter of beating depression or backing away from it, but of learning good coping mechanisms: how to recognize an episode is coming, how to keep functioning in a depressive episode, when to ask for help.
And unfortunately while I can tell you what works for me, this is going to vary by person. Some people feel sad all the time; some people feel numb; some people feel okay but are overly impacted by minor setbacks or frustrations, or can do normal life stuff but any deviation from routine sends them into a spiral. These are just examples; there are more. My methods of coping are stuff like building lists, making sure that those lists have stuff like “communicate with friends” on them, being on specific platforms that make that communication easy, and inasmuch as I can, avoiding drama and volatile emotions. Doing the bare minimum of housework to keep myself from being MORE depressed. Making sure my work gets done so that I keep my job, even if I feel like other parts of my life might be out of control.
And as I’ve recently mentioned, I write fiction as a stress response. If I’m not writing but I’m doing okay -- keeping my house clean, feeling good, having fun -- that’s fine. Not optimal, I like writing, but it’s fine. If I’m writing, I’m probably a little stressed, but I’m managing it. If I’m not writing AND I’m not functioning well, or I know I’m unhappy, then I know that the depression is probably worse than I think it is, and I need to go into survival mode.
Some people need meds -- taken year round, even when you’re not depressed. There’s no shame in that and if you aren’t currently using medication, I would recommend at least investigating its use to see if it could help. [ETA: Sorry I 100% missed the part where you are on medication, but this is still useful for others so I’m leaving it in.]
So like...”how long did it take me” is a tough question to answer because I’m still in it. I will be, all my life, and once I came to accept that, I could figure out ways to keep it from devastating me. How long it took me to establish good coping mechanisms? Well, I was diagnosed at 17, which is a rough age to be when it starts happening, but I managed to survive college (barely) and I feel like I had a pretty good handle on managing it by the time I was, I guess about 25. The point at which I was unemployed and living with my parents was the absolute low point of my life, when I was 23-24, but that was compounded by external factors. As soon as I got out of my parents’ house, things improved; as soon as I had a job, even a truly shitty one, I felt like life was survivable. (A huge coping mechanism in those days was actually Netflix, back when it was a mail-you-a-DVD service, because I knew at least a few times a week I would get mail addressed to me with a nice surprise in it.)
And the thing about being here now is -- my parents gave me three grand to get out of the house, find a place of my own, and survive 2-3 months until I could find a job. I couldn’t have done any of what I’ve done without three solid thousand dollars, and even then I got lucky. I quit my first, super shitty job (the only time I have EVER quit a job) and got a job with my last place of work literally two week before the 2008 financial crisis hit. That job happened to be a very visible if very ground-floor administrative position, and from there I was able to impress people who wanted to hire me up to the next administrative level, and from there I was promoted into the department because I showed an active and visible interest in the work they did. That was intentional, but literally nothing before it was anything other than “I need a job and this one offers health insurance.”
Once you have a job in which advancement is possible, which again is a matter somewhat of luck, advancing is just a matter of maintaining a good work-life balance while doing good work and showing you’re interested in supporting the mission of the company. Documenting the work you do, asking for raises, asking or applying for advancement -- putting yourself forward. That’s not so hard. But that’s kind of like starting on third base and telling someone you just need to run 90 feet. You’ve got to get to third base first and for me that was a lot of luck.
But here’s the kicker: you can’t win the lottery unless you buy a ticket. So for you, right now, waiting on that opportunity, your job is to keep yourself alive and reasonably looked-after, gather all the energy you have, and start figuring out a game plan. Whether that’s a shitty job that you agree with yourself you’ll only do for a year, or asking your parents for a huge financial leap of faith if they’re able -- three grand was a LOT for my parents but they knew it was probably going to save my life -- or applying to better jobs that could push you up the ladder. And of course we’re in a pandemic so like, fuck the world, all of this is just that much harder. But people are being hired, and people are moving into apartments, and going to therapy, and doing their best. So there’s hope, as long as you start homebrewing it first.
The thing that has helped me the most in the last twenty years, and which I think may be most helpful and simultaneously most frustrating to you, is that I never just said “I don’t like where I am or what I’m feeling”. I started there, absolutely, but then I asked, “What can I change to stop feeling this way?”
You have to rule out “nothing” as an answer. You probably will have to sit with the question for a while, maybe even a few weeks. You may need to google some weird shit to figure it out. And maybe what you do is a stupid stop-gap like buying yourself a $1 blind box toy once a week so you can feel surprise at something again. Maybe you admit that right now you need to pass the baton and you unfollow or blacklist political activism and activists and just fill your social media with people making dumb dad jokes and posting cat pictures. Maybe that gives your brain breathing room to find more permanent solutions.
But once you get in the habit of “how can I change this”, solutions do start to appear.
So, yeah. Truth is I worked super hard but I also got super lucky. But part of being lucky was being there when the luck finally hit. So I’m wishing you, wholeheartedly, the best of luck.
(Also if your parents have money and aren’t assholes I can’t recommend “Make them give you a long-term loan to get on your feet” strongly enough.)

It’s Friday! Kick off your weekend with a reread of these five fics from September!

The tip toward Mrs. Boland fell delightfully easy into his lap. And yes, he thinks, absently clacking the hard candy against back teeth, the source of this information isn’t what he’d term the most wholesome. Leslie is, to put it mildly, something of a turd. Apparently one with aspirations of playing cops and robbers, quite possibly unstable. But that’s essentially by the by. Jimmy’s allied with worse for less.
His sweet is practically vacant of flavour now. It’s spent too long being sucked upon, dwindling slow. There’s a packet in the cabinet by his head; easy replenishment is on offer. But it’s the action he enjoys, more than the florid taste. There’s no sense to using up supplies ahead of the need.
She’d been squirrelly, this Mrs. Boland, both times he spoke to her. In the presence of her husband, and without his shade. Maybe she’s not aware Jimmy noticed it, might be unused to having her responses attended to; her man doesn’t exactly impress as the observant type. But Stepford sketchiness wouldn’t necessarily translate to anything relevant right now. He’s focused on breaking this case, not poking at lesser fry. Oh, Jimmy’s seen the seedy underbelly to white picket land, is past naïve over that. Has run into a whole host out there: prescription pills; pimpless, primarily, prostitution; pornography production ranging from the shockingly amateur to the really quite advanced.
Suburban problems have a way of sealing themselves inward though. Rarely spill out their box into messy violence and mass ugliness in a manner which requires large amounts of attention. If it’s something of that type, he may not, for now, have a quarrel with her. Well, unless she brings him one.

This most recent hit was one of the biggest they’ve seen in a while. Rio and his group owned – well, “collaborated with” – multiple grocery stores, businesses, and shops throughout the city of Detroit. Each section had its own purpose, but there were a couple of larger, no-named, grocery stores that were their biggest assets.
One of which was robbed yesterday night.
The first time an incident like this happened, Rio was not overly concerned. There were lowlife criminals scattered all across the city of Detroit- sometimes shit happens. Some people are new to the area, so maybe they didn’t get the memo—don’t fuck with Rio’s business.
Usually he would send out a couple of his boys to rough them up a bit. And if he was feeling generous, he would show them the error of their ways, take the full cut of what they took, and then let the go with all their fingers intact. Sometimes.
But this?
This was different.
With each passing day, Rio would continue to hear about how his shit was getting robbed. A barber shop here, a liquor store there, and now yesterday was the grocery store on 3rd. And it only seemed to be his shit getting hit… each store that was robbed had his cash involved somehow.
To say Rio was pissed would be the understatement of the century.

Only it’s not one drink for her. Not even two. The whole situation just feels surreal, and she feels so out of place, so restless. Rio is sitting across from her and she could feel his eyes on her even when she is not looking. Beth ends up having double bourbon. Twice. By the moment she finishes her second glass, she feels her mind blissfully fogging, and she knows she should probably slow down a little, but it’s too late now.
And maybe she’s feeling a little too tipsy right now, so what?
Beth is nursing her third drink, when she feels Rio’s knee bump into hers. She raises her eyebrows, turning to him.
“Yo,” he says lazily.
And that he is tonight – awfully lazy and very relaxed. She finds it suspicious and doesn’t even want to think about why he is so relaxed. Is it because it’s Mick’s birthday, so Rio is letting it go for a moment? Or maybe some deal went really fine? And, gosh, what kind of deal, exactly? Maybe he is just in a good mood? Is he ever?
He is always so much trouble even when he is not.
She doesn’t reply, just snorts and rolls her eyes, twirling a lock of her blond hair. He looks so cheeky and genuine right now, she can’t help but smile back.

“You know I did hear something interesting about the event tonight,” Gretchen says.
“What’s that?”
“Apparently Elizabeth Boland was there, caused quite a stir.”
Rio takes a drink, trying to remember seeing anyone out of place tonight or anyone people had been watching, whispering about. But he can’t place anyone outside the normal crowd.
As if sensing his confusion Gretchen exhales sharply before clarifying.
“Her grandfather was the former governor and she had been a regular at these things ever since she could walk. My mother used to love seeing what dresses she’d wear even as a little girl, it was quite the big deal amongst the newspapers apparently. Anyway a couple years ago there was talk that her husband was being tapped for an appointment to the State House of Representatives when he passed away suddenly. She basically disappeared after that.”
“Is that right?”
“So imagine everyone’s surprise when she showed up tonight as the caterer no less,” Gretchen chuckles.
And of fucking course that was her.

“It’s a ride along, so you’ll be on the road for a few weeks. But compensation is...substantial.” He pauses and Beth lets out an exasperated sigh. “It’s an entertainment piece.” He continues hastily, sensing her impatience. “A series of gallery showings for a photography exhibit.”
She sucks in a sharp breath and she knows Mason catches it because he heaves out a sigh, already knowing he’s losing her. “Absolutely not.” She hisses, her mind immediately transported back seven years.
She can picture herself perfectly, sitting at the hotel bar as she’d tried to drink away her misery. And then he’d been there, materializing by her side, eyes dark and dangerous as they’d scanned over her...
“You didn’t even let me finish.” Mason interrupts her thoughts and she distantly hears the toilet flush down the hall. Then the water is running in the sink and she pushes herself off the island.
She heads toward the door, stopping by the stairs to grab Jane’s overnight bag.
“I don’t need to hear the rest. Honestly, what did you expect? I mean, not only do I refuse to work with him, he refuses to work with me.” Beth scoffs at that—like he had any right or reason to blacklist her.
Not like the reasons she had.
“That’s the thing. His publicist called us and asked for you specifically. Said he doesn’t want the article done under any other publication or written by any other freelancer.”
And just—what? That didn’t make any sense. They hated each other.

Ask Explosion #9:
Asks answering previous posts:
Sabrina, I have one word of advice for you...
R U N
“Chat, please stop talking.”
“But that’s my thing!”
“YOU JINX EVERYTHING!!”
Ayyyyyy~
Well, it’s something, I suppose?
Answered this here.
It absolutely did. Bless you, kind and hilarious citizien. ;P
I’m torn because... on one hand, I want to give proper mythology and such for like--anything that’d be put into the show, but on the other, I liked the idea that Alix’s brother was just sort of a conspiracy who thought of stupid stuff (which is why I kept the concept for MC Jalil Kubdel).
Zoe did it really well in Scarlet Lady where Alix knew the actual mythology and started blurting it out whenever Jalil got it wrong.
New Asks:
Considering “Ikari Gozen,” I imagine Alya and Kagami don’t get along as well. I agree with basically everyone that Marinette and Kagami not getting along is bad, but Alya and Kagami not really getting along makes more sense and is more tolerable.
Since Alya is Marinette’s “““BFF”““ (supposedly), I could see her kind of being like, “You’re competing with my girl over the same guy,” and keeping Kagami at arm’s length, worried that keeping Kagami close will allow Kagami to be closer to Adrien since Adrien is an extension of their friend group (kinda, sorta, not really, but Marinette calling him a friend so technically--)
You know, Alya trying to be a good friend and help Marinette with Adrien in more subtle ways. It’s the wrong way to go about it but she’s trying.
LUKANETTE IS AMAZING IN TERMS OF PROGRESSION KDJNGJDFG, I ADORE IT. Every episode they share together, we either learn something new about them or see more details on their relationship.
I think I was already all-in before “Silencer,” but man, that episode just sealed it even more. I was like well dang, why does the love square even EXIST???
jfdngjkfdjgfdg
Incredible. Only problem is that the creator doesn’t know how to use it properly.
You mean fourteen year olds aren’t perfect human beings???? :o
(no, but really, that’s me all the time; like, she’s barely a teen!)
He’ll believe it if it’s Chat Noir who’s doing it. If Marinette ever does it though, he’ll be sure to shut it down. ;P
Ugggggh, the worst part is that I have the same exact fear that they really are going to be like yeah Ladybug you silly fool Chat Noir has been with you since the beginning!
I mean, we’re already basically getting that with the New York special; Chat was supposed to protect Paris and then didn’t tell Ladybug that he “had to” leave for New York (and the New York thing is inadvertently Marinette’s fault and parts of the fandom actually did blame her for it even though it was Chat’s choice not to say anything), then Ladybug gets upset with him when she discovers it mid-battle, which leads to Chat being distracted and Cataclysming someone (another thing that Ladybug can be “inadvertently” blamed for), then Chat gives up his miraculous so Ladybug isn’t even allowed to be angry and cue the later line of “I can’t imagine being Ladybug without... him.”
So clearly that’s saying something. Adrien doesn’t get anything close to that level and Marinette is chewed out for not asking him to stay when Nino had already asked him too.
It’s like--Marinette chooses to go after Adrien and then gets either nothing in return, or humiliated by the narrative, and then in the New York special, she decides to do nothing and everything still goes wrong while Alya yells at her for it. The “damned if she does, damned if she don’t,” on display is stunning. The girl tries to confess and it’s like, “no, not allowed, but Chat is allowed to confess.”
I still don’t understand this logic of his overarching plot but also “there’s not much of a timeline.” I think the only solid thing we’ve ever gotten was something about all the episodes in one season coming after all the episodes in a previous one, but there are still things that don’t add up? The only thing the season 3 production order will give is making sure the hero debuts work out (so no Viperion or Pegase before “Party Crasher,” for example).
It’s not really reliable. I mean, like--I’ve been experimenting with timelines for a while, and stuff like “Miraculer” baffles me. It’s basically non-canon with no value whatsoever. All it does is make “Heart Hunter” look even more confusing and treats Marinette even more horribly for not picking Chloe when she explicitly told Chloe that she wasn’t getting it back.
I’m not familiar with that one! Is it any good?
(Okay, I actually was too curious and ended up looking it up; fancy! I couldn’t have guessed that it was a webtoon! I started reading the 1st issue and before I knew it, I was on the 6th! Oops~)
Lila is totally Rashta, 100% agree. The fact that the comments have a nickname of “Trashta” for her, equivalent to Liar Rossi, says as much ;P
Because lessons that involve telling someone that they’re valid and allowed to feel a certain way don’t apply to Marinette. Isn’t it nice? :3
Not that I know of? Though I also don’t look for that kind of thing, so it’s possible that it exists and I just don’t know about it.
Even if it did exist thought, I don’t see a problem with you doing your own regardless. Good luck if you do!
No. No I do not. ;P
GREETINGS FELLOW INTJ!
And yeah, I’m not really capable of not analyzing shows. There are some small exceptions, but they’re usually not full shows in the normal sense. If there’s an ongoing plot, my mind tends to be working at all times.
In terms of Miraculous, Season 1 was harmless enough where I was bothered but pretty quiet about it, but then it just got progressively worse. It really feels like one of those things you can’t unsee when it finally hits you, y’know?
I’m glad I was able to help you get that satisfaction you need (and appreciate Lukanette, of course ;3)!
Non-Miraculous Asks:
(some heavy Puella Magi Madoka Magica salt below)
Wow, this is a really dedicated ask! Nice!
Gonna go point by point here:
1 - Yeah, the whole thing with Homura not “being able” to save everyone... kinda questionable, and I didn’t really buy the arguments they used to explain it away. I think there was this one PSP game or something with Madoka Magica where you could kind of choose what happened (like, there were bad ends where Sayaka didn’t get her soul gem back in time and her body was partially decayed; ick) and I think there’s a good end where Homura saves everyone but--yeah, not canon.
I just don’t care for twisted stories like that unless there is actually a good end on the horizon (and I mean like “Everyone Lives and is Happy” good end). Angst is just so exhausting so the second I saw Mami’s head being bitten I was just like, “Ah, okay, so we’re doing this then.”
2 - Eugh, the sexism thing. It’s so... yeah, and especially this because the whole “girls are emotional” thing, I don’t really care whether or not the show is trying to “subvert” or “explain” anything, it just feels like poor taste and I don’t like it. (I also didn’t know about that Death Note thing because I didn’t watch it, but geez.)
3 - Wow, I’ve been away from the show for so long that I forgot what Mami’s wish was; I thought it was to “not be alone” or something (or maybe not die alone?? I really don’t remember), but either way, the fact that it follows some sort of genie wish logic is just--*sigh*--they’re teenage girls, come on (plus, the “genie wish logic” is really overdone to me anyway).
4 - The other thing about Sayaka is that it’s really predictable that she’d “die so quickly.” Basically everything was pointing to her just being annihilated at some point, and being Madoka’s best friend, it was pretty inevitable that she’d go.
((semi-unrelated, but someone also asked me which character’s name was lied about before episode 3 hit and they wondered if it was Sayaka’s; it was Kyubey’s))
Yikes. Sorry you had to experience that.
Anyway, I guess I’m not experienced enough in multiple fandoms to say for sure? If I was ever in a fandom, I would just blacklist the people/stuff I didn’t like, so I didn’t get to see a tong of “bad things” going on.
+ I try really hard not to generalize fandoms into one thing.
𝓖𝓮𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻 𝓝𝓸𝓻𝓶𝓼 𝓐𝓻𝓮 𝓢𝓽𝓾𝓹𝓲𝓭 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓑𝓸𝔂𝓼 𝓐𝓻𝓮 𝓐𝓵𝓵𝓸𝔀𝓮𝓭 𝓽𝓸 𝓛𝓲𝓴𝓮 “𝓖𝓲𝓻𝓵𝔂” 𝓣𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓼
Oof, uhhh, shows, huh? That’s tough.
I think the main ship from Given (Mafuyu and Ritsuka) is really adorable (you might’ve seen the amusing video of their love being mutual before), and while I would’ve said the same thing for the kinda-sorta side ship, it gets--uh... really bad during the movie/rest of the manga, I’ll just say that much.
Mafuyu and Ritsuka though, totally adorable.
Inuyasha kinda? Though Inuyasha and Kagome are definitely not the kind of romantic chemistry that I lean towards (I find “the bickering couple” to be rather exhausting). Plus, Cardcaptor Sakura did the “male tsundere” better than Inuyasha did (though the Clear Card Arc was terrible, at least it’s not canon kinda-sorta? idk it seems like a mix of the anime and manga so...).
After that there’s...
uh
...
hm.
I mean, there’s probably a couple more examples somewhere, but--yeah, I’ve got nothing. Maybe if I thought back to all the generic children shows I watched when I was little (like those old Disney live-action shows; I had no taste when I was younger), there might’ve been something that satisfied kid me but idk.
I don’t remember what post inspired this, but I have no problem answering regardless, ahaha~
My main issue is Aang’s attitude about the whole thing. I’m not saying it was right of Katara to go out and get “revenge via murder” exactly, but I also think that Zuko had the right idea with allowing her to go and face the man who killed her mother so she could get some form of closure (also note that Zuko doesn’t express any sort of opinion when Katara decides not to kill him; he just wanted her to have whatever she thought she needed to heal).
It’s also the episode where Zuko directly confronts Aang on his “violence isn’t the answer” rhetoric which then goes completely ignored as Aang lionturtles his way out of the conflict. Aang is also not confronted on his point of “forgiveness is the first step to healing” (when Katara has a right not to forgive and Aang isn’t challenged outside of Katara commenting on it) and was permitted to ride his high horse when Katara “steals” Appa like, “It's okay, because I forgive you... that give you any ideas?” which is just--
reaaaaaally "holier than thou”-esque when Aang is like, ten, and Katara is a sort of motherly figure to him. The episode even has Sokka praise Aang for how “wise” he is and I groaned through the entire thing.
Another smaller thing is that it sort of makes the air kingdom look way too “perfect” by having Aang be the “source of wisedom,” especially when it’s like “violence isn’t the answer” while all the other airbenders are dead.
#((Guess who lost asks AGAIN.))#((Ugh I'm so annoyed this laptop is really giving up on me I swear.))#((I lost like fifteen.))#((Most of them were ones I was really looking forward to answering as well.))#((Basically needed an emergency restart while I was saving all of them.))#((Really sorry about that for the last fifteen or so asks I had.))#((I remember one from emikogale that involved the ideal ending of the show and that one was great.))#((and another about the fandom not really getting along that said particularly nice things but UGH.))#((If you sent me an ask recently and it's not here then it probably got washed out.))#((Because I don't recall just outright deleting anything because I didn't want to answer it.))#((I'll try to save a whole snapshot of my inbox beforehand so this won't happen again.))#((Seriously sorry.))#((Know that I saw it and likely approved of it but stuff happened and I acknowledge it's my bad.))#((Winter is just really out to get me isn't it? ugh))#character: Sabrina Raincomprix#character: Alya Cesaire#character: Marinette Dupain Cheng#character: Chat Noir#character: Sabine Cheng#category: staff#category: salt#other: non ml talk#other: ask and answer

a thing i would like to Emphasize about crimestoria bc the more i watch the blacklist the more i just want astoria to blow raspberries at every cop ever
astoria is easy to underestimate; this is by design. in fact, every level of her is easy to underestimate. she very deliberately has three distinct personas
the hedonistic aesthete at social gatherings, who lives for all things beautiful and who makes decisions based on how much fun they’re going to be;
the serious academic and shrewd businesswoman at work, who gently reminds people that actually, it’s not miss grimani, it’s doctor grimani, she has a doctorate from columbia, sure does suck that no one takes women who enjoy themselves seriously;
and the incredibly careful and calculating spy-for-hire who knows what people are doing at all times.
and within each of these individual personas are shades of the other. it’s how she’s able to do all three so effectively: she is at all times able to shield herself and her true intentions behind any of these distilled visions of herself. at home, with her loved ones, she is all three softened and woven together; in the public eye, she blends the three in varying degrees to give people what they want or need to see.
she’s also physically easy to underestimate, and this is also very important to her process: astoria orders violence. she does not dole it out. of the deaths that can maybe be attributed to her, she has only ever pulled the trigger ( metaphorically speaking ) twice: her godmother and her godfather. she’s small — 5′3″, a bit taller when she wears heels, slender, not particularly muscular. she can defend herself fairly well but only if she can use someone else’s strength against them and physically disable them as quickly as possible. she maximizes the harm done as quickly as she can and she runs when that’s finished, and if that’s not an option, she fights extremely dirty. and beyond being small, she’s perfectly put together in most scenarios: every hair in its place, every piece of clothing carefully chosen.
this leads to a few things, particularly within ships in this verse —
astoria is almost never dominant with a partner. it’s possible outside of this verse, or on very very very rare occasions when she’s trying to gently take care of someone, but she’s in such careful control at all times here that the thought of remaining in control when she can finally be vulnerable with someone is just exhausting. if she can’t trust someone completely, she just doesn’t introduce power exchange dynamics into their relationship beyond the very very light and introductory stages.
when astoria ends up loyal to someone, it’s wholehearted and it’s very frustrating for her. this opens her up for a dynamic i really love, and which doesn’t happen often, where astoria loves someone else a lot more than they love her, at least at first, and astoria is significantly more devoted to a partner than they are to her. and that doesn’t mean her partner could never catch up, but once astoria decides she’s loyal to someone, that’s kind of it for her, and her own survival becomes secondary to their survival. she often won’t admit it, especially to the person in question, unless she thinks she has no other option. it takes her a very long time to tell someone explicitly that she loves them, though she tells them in a lot of other ways.
astoria is very comfortable with secrets in a relationship. she doesn’t tell anyone the full story unless they’re committed to each other, or at the earliest stages of a proper and long-term commitment. she keeps secrets; she expects her partner will too; she does not do well with the expectation of full disclosure in a relationship. as far as she’s concerned, it’s perfectly fine to say that’s not something i’m comfortable telling you yet and it’s infinitely preferable to an outright lie.
and finally —
if astoria is that devoted to someone, they are typically the only person for whom she’ll break her rules about violence. if her lover is under threat, she won’t hesitate in the slightest to eliminate that threat, often by almost any means necessary.
#i. she had a marvelous time ruining everything. ( about )#(excited 4 this please and thank u if u want to do anything in this Please... let me know)#v. but if you must be clever‚ then be clever. be brave. sleep with fists closed and shoot straight. ( main timeline: modern | crime )

MARE'S RECAPS ~ THE MANDALORIAN: CHAPTER 11 "THE HEIRESS"
This week's episode was (too) short, but packed in action. Damn! It was great! My main reactions went back and forth between 😳Dank ferrik!😱 🤣cackling up like mad😂 and 😍awwww!😊 That's it. I spent the 30 min that it lasted that way. Between the rough landing, the crate scene, and meeting with old/new people it was a roller coaster ride of emotions.
I'm sharing my full thoughts about it below, so quick reminder to those avoiding spoilers —which might be useless at this point, tbh— to skip this and add the tags #mare's mando recaps, #the mandalorian season 2 spoilers, and #mando spoilers to your blacklist so you don't see spoilers from me. You've been warned.
Let's get to the fun.
At this point, I'm questioning if the Razor Crest will survive the season. I mean, since I saw the first trailer I suspected that Din would crash the Crest more than once and I was super worried about its destiny, but after the last episode, I felt a bit less concerned about it. Obviously, the ship survives enough to take the clan of 2 back to Nevarro —which they'll visit in chapter 13? 14? 15? 16?—, so my theory that it'd sink into the bottom of the sea in what now we know is Trask was put back. I convinced myself that Mando was going to land in it without incident. Watching the Crest falling into the water in the port was both shocking and hilarious. Seriously?! Can anything else can happen to that ship until it's absolutely beyond repair?
And the debatable repair that the mon calamari did? OMG! How is the Crest holding itself together, I don't know. I know traveling fast is safer for Din and the baby but going in hyperdrive doesn't seem very safe with the ship in those conditions. Just saying!
The frog folks were adorable in this episode! Can we have more wholesome things like that, please? So loving and just cute how the couple was reunited. I need more of that. A question though. I'm far from being a biologist or anything close to that but should fertilized frog eggs and tadpoles develop that fast? The whole episode timeline was what… 48 hours, 72 tops? The egg was fertilized, developed, tadpole hatched and grown in less than 3 days?! Or even a week! Seems a little far-fetched.
The frog lady was just stellar accepting to take care of the baby while Mando assaulted the freighter, but my question this: how the hell Mando knew where she and her husband live? The last we knew they went separate ways at the cantina, so how did he find them?
Can we talk about how great is baby Yoda having a friend now? It was beyond adorable watching him happy when the tadpole hatched, then playing with it. He didn't want to leave! And Din's "You're going to stay here, so I want you to be respectful and mind your manners. You know what I'm talking about" and "No, I have enough pets." 😂😂😂 Hilarious and such a dad things to say.
Talking about pets, the baby was referred to as such 2 or 3 times in the episode. And Din calling the baby his "friend" what was that?! I was like…. No, Din. He is your SON! Not to mention that he's under the impression that he'll give him up soon. Such a fool in denial. His words never match with his actions where the baby is concerned. I think if that popular fan theory that (possibly) Moff Gideon will kidnap the baby comes true, that's what going to make Din realize fully that leaving the child for good with the Jedis is going to be excruciating.
There were so many parallels in this episode to Chapter 3. So, so many! Especially when it came to Mandalorian culture. Last season, we learned about the Nevarro covert and their views, now we see the view of other Mandos. The identity crisis coming in Din's way is MONUMENTAL! That poor boy is going to suffer so much. Bo-Katan telling him that the Child of the Watch is a cult, damn! That was brutal. In a way, I understand why she thinks that (certainly, there are some aspects of the Nevarro covert ways that could indicate that) but I think we're not seeing the whole picture yet and I'd rather reserve my definitive opinion for later. I have a theory that I'll share in a separate post later.
Other parallels were:
Also to chapter 3: Both Paz and Bo-Katan remarking on Mandalorians are stronger together and in numbers. Also, the standoff of Din against the Quarren/Guild Hunters and being helped by Mandos.
(A bit) Chapter 6: Din against Droids/Troopers and taking the brunt of their assault before eliminating them.
To chapter 7: both the Mandalorian who rescued Din as a child and Bo-Katan stretching out their hands to draw him out of a bunker/pool.
Just like the Razor Crest, Din needs to be more careful with the prams! This is THIRD that is lost or broken! But thankfully it kept the baby safe from the mamacore. And Din can't swim. I don't think he knows how which makes throwing himself after the baby really brave AND stupid. Of course, he would go after his son, but he didn't think what he was doing! The whole thing had me suspicious since the cantina. That Quarren chuckling while negotiating with Mando boded nothing good. Much less the insistence to watch the mamacore. When I saw the crate, I freaked out so bad. I knew what was coming and none of my screams did nothing to stop it.
Predictions
So the next chapter: Ahsoka!
I have the feeling that Chapter 12 will have a lot of parallels to chapter 4. Not in terms of helping villagers (like in chapter 9) but more in Mando's foolish desire to leave baby Yoda in what he thinks are more capable hands. Last season was fierce motherly Omera, who he knew would take care of the baby as her own, and now, it'll be Ahsoka, who understand the force and could train him. But just as happened before, at the end of the episode, Din and baby will continue their journey together.

Hi! Sorry to bother you, but could you give some advice on how to tag posts that might be a tw?? I've been wanting to post some of my whump drabbles that really could trigger someone and I dont want that! but I really really want to post them :C
It’s great that you’re concerned about protecting other people <3
On Tumblr, it’s a good idea to tag your triggers with the trigger word first - so ‘#trigger tw’ or ‘#trigger cw’ - because of the way the blacklist filtering works (it only looks at the first word apparently?)
In terms of what to tag for, I don’t think you necessarily need to tag basic violence if it’s a whump fic (stuff like idk a character getting punched). But anything that might be gory I would tag ‘gore tw’ or ‘broken bones tw’ or ‘finger whump’ or something similar. Then there are situations that are possibly triggering - I try to tag for drowning, car crashes, serious illnesses and other things like that which are fairly common to have firsthand experience with. Also emotional whump things that might hit close to home like abuse, gaslighting, self-blame etc. @trigger-warnings has a great list you might want to check.
Basically, it’s great to tag all the main content of your piece. If you’re in doubt, it does no harm to tag something.
I hope that helps!
#ask#whump#trigger warnings#i assume this was about whumptober so sorry if you've worked it out by now lol

Is it sad I’m nervous about portraying an autistic character? Because I’m verbal and I feel if I draw from my own experience my character will be accused of not being ‘autistic’ enough and upset people on whether they aren’t a certain sexuality or race or something else. I really want to write an autistic female character but I’m sure there will be stupid discourse if it’s ever published.
Hey - I don’t know if I have a good answer for you, because I’m kind of struggling with the same problem myself. As I’m painfully trying to get back to writing after a long-ish hiatus, I find that I’m drawn to the same stuff I like reading: adventures in foreign lands, interesting and diverse characters, stuff that goes beyond ‘white girls meets white boy, fat&funny&potentially brown sidekick does tings in the background’. But very often when I write I feel tumblr looking over my shoulder and find a thousand tiny details that could be ‘problematic’ in some way. So it’s something I haven’t solved 100% in my writing, but here is what I tell myself - I hope it can be useful to you.
1) Use tumblr less. I was reading somewhere tumblr’s spaces function a bit like a cult, with an endless circlejerk of exclusion and validation, and in my experience that’s very true. Even worse, we forget the online world is not actually representative of what the actual world thinks.
(Politicians are doing that exact same mistake with Twitter, with disastrous consequences.)
So if it’s coming to a point where it stifles your creativity and makes you anxious about who you are as a person, try avoiding it for a while, blacklisting certain terms or following different blogs.
2) You can write about whatever tf you want.
3) Specifically, you can write about your own life without feeling guilty about it because it doesn’t align with someone else’s experiences.
4) Seriously, one pet peeve I have is this new idea that ‘non mainstream’ communities are homogeneous and any person on the internet can act as spokesperson. Unless a large group of voters elected you to speak for them, you’re only speaking for yourself, so you have no right to bash others because they’re not adhering to (imaginary) community guidelines.
5) Do not write anything, especially a first draft, thinking about publication. That’s a whole different problem and far in the future, Just focus on your story and on making it as close as possible to the story inside your head.
6) When it comes to autism, we do know it’s a spectrum, and there’s no reason to depict only specific characteristics. Saga Norén from The Bridge comes to mind - she was an exquisitely well-written character played to perfection, and the audience loved her.
I think in the end, the main problem is people who don’t question themselves and assume they have the right or the ability to do anything, or that everything they do is automatically good. The fact you’re fretting and wondering whether that story is okay or not - to me, that shows you have enough decency, sensitivity and empathy to write it well. So go for it and good luck!
#ask#writing tips#writing advice#tumblr problems#pet peeve#btw this is the other side of cancel culture#sure it doesn't silence The Big Problematic Bestselling Author#but it's not harmless at all#look what it does to people just trying to write#you're right it is sad#but it's not your fault#we live in sad times is all#please keep writing so we can make it better

and this is ruby! my 4th and final muse! been wanting to use gayoung’s pretty face since she was in tempted and now that shes in true beauty it made me want to use her even more! and the content she gave us while playing yeo hajin? iconic this is ruby <3
STATISTICS
full name: ruby odette im nickname(s): rue, rubes, ro, odette, od, odettie age: twenty two date of birth: october 8th, 1998 hometown: tba! gender: cis female pronouns: she/her/hers religion: christian (raised, non-practicing) sexuality: bisexual & biromantic hair colour: brunette eye colour: brown height: 5'9″ tattoos: dainty colored lavender on her left ankle facing outward (ex) piercings: standard & upper lobe (both), forward helix & industrial (right), daith (left)
PROMPT + BLACKMAIL
a legacy and member of the yale's elite, they're twenty-two and a sophomore undergrad student majoring in law. they are as positive as they are negative.
● was caught with a dui and almost got her license revoked because of it, but she flirted her way out of the ticket and convinced the police officer to kill the report by giving him tickets to a movie premiere where she held a small role. background: this happened in new york after she was attempting to drive home from a party with her 3 model friends who were also all drunk. she was 20 at the time and should’ve also gotten in-trouble for underaged drinking along with driving under the influence, but she truly utilized her fame status and looks. luckily no one got hurt and the road was pretty empty so there wasn’t many cars, but it was still dangerous and irresponsible because if she wasn’t pulled over, then she would’ve hit busier traffic and something definitely would’ve happened. after being pulled over and saving her ass, ruby stopped driving and ordered a lyft to pick up her and her friends to drop them back to her apartment in new york.
● was convinced her father was having an affair with a news anchor, so ruby convinced producers, news channels, and everyone in the business to blacklist them from ever working and essentially ruining and ending the new anchor’s career. unknown to ruby, though, is that the news anchor was never having an affair with her father and it was actually colette who was having an affair with her father at the time. background: her relationship with her dad has always been rocky, but the minute she found out he was having an affair and cheating on her mom made ruby go batshit. she wasn’t sure who the person was exactly except for that her father was having an affair because she was overhearing flirty & secretive phone calls and was seeing bills for expensive gifts that her mother was never receiving. when ruby saw her dad meeting with a news anchor frequently, ruby automatically assumed that was the person her father was having an affair with and essentially ruined that new anchor’s career. the new anchor’s career ended very abruptly and ruby loved seeing it. she loved her mom and she wasn’t going to let anyone hurt her- not her father and not the news anchor. unknown to ruby, though, is that the news anchor was never having an affair with her father and it truly was just business. ruby framed the wrong person and ruined an innocent person’s career for no reason.
ABOUT
family/upbringing/childhood
ruby’s family consisted of her father (randolph im), her mother (marissa im, nee byun), and her three younger siblings (edeline, brietta, and dominick)
her father, randolph im, is a top politician and was formerly a senator before being removed from officer and losing to his component- senator ahn. instead of being a senator, he’s apart of the house of representatives. other than being a politician, randolph also runs a loan business that’s not known unless you’re also apart of the top 1-10%. since they have so much money, he doesn’t mind giving out loans to those in need, but he always expects something in return (like a vote or an endorsement) and he always expects being paid back in time with interest included. if he doesn’t get his money paid back in time, then he’s a loan shark who sends his henchmen to do all the dirty work for him.
her mother, marissa im, is a house wife who happily takes care of her kids.
the family is as tight knit as it can be. it’s not hard for them to act loving and family-like infront of the media because that’s how they are everyday. they have their tense moments like every other family does, but they’re healthy for the most part.
healthy until it involves ruby and her father. these two are constantly butting heads and always arguing over something. maybe it’s because she’s the eldest daughter or maybe it’s because she doesn’t support her father’s shady loan business. she just doesn’t like him and the only time you’ll catching her supporting her father’s political career is when it’s family involved and her presence is required. other than that, ruby is typically absent from whatever political campaign her father does.
ever since ruby was a toddler, she loved the spotlight and performing. she loved acting and she loved when the cameras were on her whether it be for performing something or posing for something. since her mother noticed this, she was quick to put ruby in auditions for acting and modeling and since ruby was a natural, her acting and modeling career began at a very young age. she acted in children’s shows, movies as the younger version of a character and modeled for campaigns and spreads for brands like guess kids.
due to her career being a success at such a young age, ruby never experienced “real school” and was homeschooled her entire life. when she was on set for tv shows where she had to act in a school setting was basically her only experience as a student in a “real school”.
although her siblings would grow up differently (attending private schools instead of homeschool), ruby never minded this and never felt like she missed out on anything because she still learned how to socialize and got to act out wtvr she was possibly missing out on
career/college/the elites
luckily, as ruby got older and went from being a child to a pre/teen, her career didn’t stop and just kept growing. she filmed some tv shows and mostly focused on movies. when she turned 16/17, that was when her modeling career began to become more prominent because she was “old enough”, looked old enough, and was taller. she was having fun, living life, and traveling the world.
since she was a politician’s daughter, she was getting tutored on information about law and politics by the time she was 13. she had interest in law especially so she could spite her dad by telling him what he was possibly doing wrong, but also so she could negotiate her own contracts and understand what’s being said during the meetings. as a minor, she can’t sign contracts without a guardian but she sat there at the meetings feeling lost and wanted to know what they were saying.
although she loved spotlight when she was younger, by the time she was twenty she was starting to get over the fame. her career was successful, but she was starting to see and feel all the negatives that came with fame (especially in the modeling world where they criticized her looks often) and simply wanted out
when she turned 21, as a gift to herself she decided to take a break from her career/the spotlight so she could attend school and actually get a degree in law so she truly could negotiate her own contracts and understand all the legal terms being used during those meetings. she applied to yale and luckily she got accepted (mostly due to her career and philanthropy and because of yale being her father’s alma mater).
her father was a member of the yale elites, which makes ruby a legacy so that made her entrance into the organization very easy.
she still does modeling when she has the time, but her acting career is on hiatus until she finishes her bs in law.
don’t really know where to put this, but her stage name is odette im (her middle name) and only those that actually know her like friends & family call her ruby. she prefers to be called ruby because it’s her actual name, but professionally and in the tabloids she’s known as odette. she will still respond if you call her odette in a non-professional setting and honestly if ur muse met her while she was working then they probs know her as odette
personality
out of all my muses, i think ruby is the most genuinely nice one with no ugly intentions. silvia used to be like this, but silvia was also just willing to do shady things versus ruby who only does shady thing when shes truly hurt or angry or doing it for someone she loves (like ruining a person’s career to avenger her mom)
like taking care of people because shes an eldest daughter but also loves being taken cared of much more. whenever she’s being babied or treated as the youngest she’s happy because she’s used to have to take care of other people instead of herself
is honestly tired of the constant spotlight because she experienced it for so long, so think she’s more lowkey now except for those moments when shes modeling and partying at extravagant places and cities
believes honesty is key and the biggest way to lose her as a friends is to lie to her. she grew up away from the political setting, but it was still something she was apart of nonetheless and she knows how shady that area can b. knowing this, she tries to b as honest as possible and likes to hold people at a very honest level too like pls just be real with her and she’ll be real with u
doesnt mind talking about herself because thats what shes used to (her having to do interviews n shit all the time makes it easy for her to talk about herself)
basically an open book and even tho shes an award winning actress, shes terrible at hiding her real emotions infront of people who know her on a non-superficial level
can be very superficial with others due to her job and having to present herself a the best possible version of herself, but shes usually genuine for the most part like. if ur her friend then ur her friend she wont treat u like a professional associate or wtvr like??? does that even make sense
probs actually enjoys philanthropy work so shes involved n shit
can cook because she was the eldest daughter and also because she had to take care of herself while being in different cities by herself bc she couldnt eat out everyday
cant bake for shit tho like.. that shit is just not her thing. cant even make box brownies
fiercely loyal to those she loves and will legit do anything to protect them. also loves spoiling her friends bc like. if she has the money for it y not
WANTED CONNECTIONS IDEAS
someone that her father loaned money to! ruby is aware of her father’s business and is also aware of the clients because her dad doesn’t keep it a secret within the family. maybe your muse borrowed money and still hasn’t paid her father back for the loan so now the father found out information about ur muse and is holding it against them. ruby could be aware of this and attempt to help you-- if the muses get along tho :)
someone she met thru work! whether it be thru acting or modeling but i think that’d be so fun!! could be a good experience where they became friends or maybe they’re rivals in their careers that the media loves to put against each other. maybe they were even costars who didn’t get along, but the media loves making them out to be bffs!
bffs! friends! close friends!
enemies! betrayals! negatives!
cousins! because why not!
romance! ex flings! flirtationships! someone who leads her on!
ruby isn’t the type to do fwb or non-attachment style relationships because she gets attached to people very easily. with her job shes constantly surrounded by people and while she loves traveling, it can get very lonely. if she fell in love with u then she fell in love with u genuinely and whole heartedly. i think of all my muses, she falls in love the easiest

Yoongi would be into the bulging of the stomach right? Like as his eggs go in he be like fuck that’s hot and go harder. Would yoongi have y/n push the eggs out after he’s done? Or would he like make her leave them in there for a while? Also babies? What about da babies?
(okay this is weird! NGL im worried about loosing followers over this so please blacklist the term ‘ovi’ if you’re not comfortable reading about tentacle yoongi and his eggs)
but definitely- I think he probably really likes cumming with his human cock over the eggs, just makes him feel like he’s properly bred the reader because his breeding kink and animalistic side definitely comes out, please picture his tentacles gently rolling and coiling over the readers bulging tummy and yoongi rubbing his cheek back and forth across it- totally lost in the pleasure he feels at having his mate stuffed full of him.
but in reality- there isn’t any way that she could ever become pregnant from yoongi’s eggs- so it’s mostly just the breeder headspace talking when he gets possessive. i think yoongi and her would play around with them a little bit, sometimes he makes her get rid of them and other times he’ll plug her up and make her walk around with a few inside of her so she can feel him even when he’s not near- definitely when he has to go back to his own world for a little while.
i think the others in particular love it when they find out she’s been stuffed full by yoongi and walking around edged all day. i think they definitely take it a step farther. yoongi gets a text of an image of her holes and the few of his eggs spilled out covered with milky cum from Seokjin and namjoon, “fertilized these for you let us know when you want them back
and yoongi sends back “you’re both terrible” and then quickly “how is she? not too sore?” and namjoon responds, “sleepy and happy, we’re trying to feed her before she falls asleep, so far she’s only eating chocolate,” and yoongi laughs happily because he knows how good seokjin’s chocolate pomegranate bark is. he knows you’ll probably be sleeping for the next half a day at least and just sends “give her a kiss and call her a good girl for me” because while they enjoy absolutely railing the reader- they also take care of her and baby the fuck out of her after they do. because their combined presence can be super overwhelming.

so i hace a question in regards to cyberpunk and cyberpsychosis. i have seen a lot of negatitivyt into the use of the word and i agree but i was hoping there is something else in it and they didnt just call it that to be edgy
yeah. it’s called cyberpsychosis. and that is... not fantastic at all when you’re introduced to it. and especially since it is aaaaaalllllll around you. datashards and banks you pick up refer to it...
the only credit i will actually give is that you are told how horrible they are and so on and then if you actually like. do the side mission where you take them down (non-lethally or... lethally... if you have to...) regina actually tells you that 1) it is basically a corporate lie that people have eaten up to blacklist people who even show the slightest problem 2) most of the people who have “cyberpsychosis” are actually people suffering from untreated PTSD, poor cyberware updates, trauma of any kind, wrong medications, abduction by corpos to be experiments etc and that the stigma for mental health is so great they have been boxed in instead of being treated (especially former soldiers, or people who have been wrangled by corporate lies like an autoshop owner, and even an actress) and 3) that by helping these people seek treatment (which is definitely possible and mostly stems in either removing the bad cyberware and therapy regina provides (either in the form of BDs or other)), you’re kind of... opening up the discussions of it. regina is a wartime reporter and she actively hunts down child molestors and rapists in her spare time, and reports accurately on arasaka’s movements alongside militech and stuff. she just wants to help people of night city because, since johnny’s attack on the tower in... 2023? people gave up fighting back.
mental health still has a very noticeable stigma in cp77, because it has it’s universe divergence in 1990, and didn’t have all these leaps and bounds we actually have had, and like in terms of lizzy wizzy, who is pretty much all chrome by 2077 (finished her transition recently), her boyfriend/manager speaks to arasaka about potentially engram-ing her and ‘erasing bad traits’. and you’re like oh fuck that’s awful since arasaka can technically do that (and do) and he’s betraying her trust. but then if you tell her that and respond to her later message... she’s killed him. she kind of crosses this threshold of not recognising what has happened... and she later releases a BD and v just tries to question her about it but she’s dismissive of it. you could argue that.......... he knew something was wrong, cybernetic wise, and the ‘less desirable traits’ were honestly actually more to do with the excessive cyberware hampering on her humanity. the actress i mentioned was pumped full of cybernetics for a new movie, woke up with amnesia, everyone thought she was just playing her role well but... she panicked and couldn’t remember where she was and just reacted to believing that the script was real, because no one was around to help her.
sandra dorsett, the woman you rescue in the opening, also has references to night corp purposely trying to “induce” cyberpsychosis in people and record what happens. i think they probably could’ve used another term in any case just because... well. people who report on the game write it off for many reasons, and naturally unless you do this complete side mission... you’re not going to hear the truth of it. but regardless...
tldr: “cyberpsychosis” is made up corpo garbage that is spouted by corpo controlled media to isolate and hurt people who suffer largely from PTSD and control people into literally reporting anyone who so much as blinks wrong, that 9/10 they end up being spirited away during the night, and relies heavily on stigmas to be used against people (you do hear some npcs sometimes saying stuff about hoping they don’t have it because they don’t want to get shot vs treated as... ncpd shoot first ask questions later)
#replies#suicide mention tw#uhhhh idk what else to tag this as#assault tw#maybe....#but yeah... its all to do with corpos controlling people#Anonymous
