people underestimate how close tim and dick are and it is driving me NUTS

you get me oh my god,,, alighterwood and i talk about this ALL the time

like, i do love the dynamics between jason and damian and the rest of the bats!! do not get me wrong, i think they have lots of potential and the writers did us dirty in some cases. it's fun to explore them. however, tim and dick's brother relationship is so impactful to the entire story between them that it's insane no one talks about it more? or practically no one??

tim learned their identities through dick grayson, robin, not batman. he looks up to both of them but robin was his hero. when jason died and tim knew something needed to be done, he went to dick first above all else (technically, he went back to the circus). he trusted that nightwing (his robin) would be able to do something about it. he wasn't aware of just how deep dick and bruce's fight went but he knew who to go to about it. dick brought him back to the manor and tim became robin because of it. he was involved in tim's time as robin, he was the person that tim could go to about his insecurities, he was the one that tim went to about his relationship/family/friendship/life problems. he learned how to be the hero he is because of dick (and bruce, but this is about him and dick).

they were brothers before jason came back, before damian, before tim even met steph, etc. when tim was, in fact, going a little crazy (even if he was RIGHT, that doesn't mean he wasn't losing his mind at least a little bit, Tim Stans) about bruce being alive, dick was WORRIED about him!! because that's his brother!! he didn't threaten to send tim to arkham, he wasn't even the one who planned to give damian robin!! dick picked up the batman mantle because he felt there was no other choice (do not get me started on how gotham does not actually need BATMAN, but his spirit) and with that came the responsibility of looking after BOTH of his brothers. brothers. not children. dick can do a lot of things but he is not infallible. it was a shitty situation and it does not soley reside on his shoulders. tim had a right to feel hurt that no one was listening to him, but... y'all. he dropped out of school, he was kind of going off the deep end with how many other people died in his life around that time (his BEST FRIENDS) so of course dick was like "hey dude..."

tim is the closest to dick in the family, he looks up to dick as if he IS infallible in a lot of ways. that's his BIG BROTHER and also his personal hero. his favorite person. and dick cares about him just as much

Genuinely tweaking tf out because last chapter dropped and I'm so soul-wrenched pulled apart at the seams and unraveling that I don't even have the energy to cry lmaoo. Tbh i never expected to get this attached to a character/s (all of them, really- Shingen, Somi, Shintaro) and it sounds kind of stupid when I write it down here but still.

My heart breaks for all of them; Shingen, who had to live his life burdened by his clan duties. Shintaro, who had to live his life never being the first choice, of always being tethered to the rules. Somi, who, I think (I hope) loved her child, but just a little too late, and for Gun, poor, sweet Gun, who had to see them all die before his eyes.

They weren't good- they were a terrible family by all means (talking about the adults here obv), but somehow I can't bring myself to hate them for it. It's hard to express what I'm really feeling lol but I just hope. I just hope they're all finally at peace, now. Somehow, somewhere.

I hope Shingen and Shintaro get to be the kids that their childhood never allowed them to be, I hope Somi gets to smile more freely, and I hope that Gun can be happy and unburdened by his past. I hope.

god my heart hurts everytime i think about whether yuu had a great family/friends (and life in general) back home. they come to this FREAK ass school and immediately this cat that spits fire is demanding them to TAKE OFF THEIR UNIFORM NOW!! because.. he wants to wear it? then after the headmaster finds them and brings them to this cult looking reception where everyone’s wearing weird cloaks. then this creepy mirror tells them they belong.. nowhere..? and after the headmaster tells them they can stay at the school because he is sooo benevolent he may as well be ursula herself he shows them to this raggedy ass cottage that is literally falling apart. when HIS dumb mirror brought them to his school in the first place (and then gave them this fucked up fortune(?)). AND then everyone is bullying thwm for not having magic. you know that one tweet thats like “my toxic trait is that I truly believe I could win a fight against anybody if I was mad enough. you might have the strength and size but I have pure, unfiltered rage.” that would be me. i am JUMPING anyone and everyone who disrespects me like do you know what ive been through all in ONE DAY. sam get me a switchblade. yuu doesn’t get enough breaks. which sucks because they give so many to everyone.

breaking news: vampire, clown and ghost torment disabled human

a story about a war veteran who moves to the countryside to have a peaceful life after losing a limb, but the house is haunted by a ghost, the basement is inhabited by a clown whose existence is very doubtful and the attic belongs to a alcoholic vampire and these three get together to try to kick out the new resident, but he's so pathetic (traumatized as fuck) that they feel sorry for him and start taking care of him and keep the 'tormenting' part very basic. the veteran is very confused about who cooks him meals and cleans the house but also leaves bloody messages on the wall to remind him to take his medicine

(There's also this weird ugly slime/sand monster that lives in the house's plumbing and makes weird sounds when he's in a bad mood (which is always), but the less said about this guy, the better)
