Okay, I will comment on one thing for now about the new update. And that is Candy Apple Cookie. Cause I probably have the least popular opinion in the room.

So a lot of people really seem to like the angle that she and Shadow Milk have a found family relationship of father and daughter. While I can see what they are talking about, their dynamic does not feel that way at all.

From her bio, the girl reminds me a lot of Albedo from the Overlord anime. She is a character that was an NPC made in a game, and Ainz (one of the players that own the NPCs) is someone she loves deeply, despite she and him are creator and servant. There are more complicated layers to it, but simply put, the Lady is very obsessed with him, crazy, and outright is a demon.

Candy Apple shares a few traits with her that really nails down the vibe I get from her. Believing she is a creation of Shadow Milk (not in a fatherly way) and outright blushes, heart eyes whenever she thinks about him. This is all signs of a crush at best. Which is something that keeps me from thinking she would see him as a dad.

Not only that, but the game shows Shadow Milk does not care all that much about her. The kingdom interaction they have shows when she brags about tricking the faeries, he starts his response with a three dot silence. Immediately either being uninterested, or shocked at her skill.

Shadow Milk feels like he is just using her cause she is a willing participant. Though I would love to imagine he has a hard time dealing with her high energy and obsessive personality. Bro has a fangirl and let her in the house.

I doubt we will get much more of them in the next story update, but I do like what they made. And I genuinely love Candy Apple as she is a delightful cookie.

Danny the Boss: Wizard

Danny would wanna be a wizard. After watching the Overlord series, he grew a fancy to the mc Ainz ooal gown. And is dead set at attempting to make a build based off the cool OP spell-caster. Plus he’d rather not work up a sweat and instead cast spells from the sidelines.

Harumu the Homewrecker: Cleric

Harumu would be the cleric of the team, and would be awfully OP. The reason being none other than him appraising himself for having unmatched beauty above all other peasants. He shan’t worship a god when he could just believe in himself.

Lynx the Harpy: Bard

As a harpy he’d gravitate towards being a bard. Simply due to his joy for singing and using the gift his ancestors gave him to bewitch his poor enemies to their deaths. He could just snatch them up with his talons and airdrop them but where’s the fun in that?

Nokka the Husband: Barbarian

This is self explanatory, this man’s favorite weapon is his hands. Would wear brass knuckles and automatically pummel anybody to death. In the team he’s the most hotheaded and stubborn, as he just wants to be at home with his wife. And nothing would ever get in the way of that.

Just how in the new world did Demiurge end up in this situation!? He's unworthy of such an amazing honor as this! Unworthy! The poor arch-devil is only a mere speck floating about in the sea of denizens that make up the Tomb of Nazarick... and yet...

...his most treasured one has chosen to slumber on top of his legs! It's like a dream come true! They depend on him to be a stable headrest as they sleep! He's so honored!

But, truth be told, Demiurge had lost his usual composure quite some time ago. Hours, really. His normally gray skinned complexion was now stained a deep crimson red, resting upon his bespectacled face. His whole body seemed to tremble lightly as he fought the instinct to move and readjust his position. Steam was practically shooting from his ears .

"C‐could I bring myself to be so vain..."

The arch-devil mutters to himself; holding a trembling hand just above the soft looking lochs of hair that sprouted from his most cherished one's head.

Just when his fingers are about to graze the snoozing supreme being's head; they stir and shift in his lap and turn their head to face him; grabbing his wrist and trapping his hand palm side up underneath their face. Demiurge's eyes widen as he felt the softness of their cheek. He could feel his face get about 20° warmer than it already had been.

He could feel his breathing rapidly pick up in panic, it was to the point that he was huffing and puffing like a spooked animal. He was touching them without their consent! How would he ever gain the confidence to show himself in their presence once they had awoken! But now... he couldn't move his hand without risk of waking them.

"How have I found myself on the cusp of such a difficult decision..."

Demiurge whispered to himself as he wracked his brain for a fitting solution to such a bizarre situation.

On one hand he could gently lift you from his lap and allow them to properly continue resting on one of the many plush pillows that decorated their bed. But then there's a possibility that he may wake them up or go against their potential unspoken wish to stay in the position they fell asleep in; head on his lap and all.

But, on the other hand, he is still a floor guardian and he has his own responsibilities and duties that come with that title that must be attended to at some point. In addition to that, Demiurge has no business encroaching on such a sacred place as his most cherished one's bedroom in the first place. But if he doesn't stay in place he might risk disappointing them.

"Mmnh.... Demi...urge..."

The slumbering sepreme being slurred with a goofy smile on their face, drool staining his red suit pants.

It seems Nazarick's strategist....

In the end, it seems Demiurge didn't have to make such a hard decision after all due to losing consciousness. His brain simply couldn't keep up with how hard it was working to subconsciously keep him from flipping out. His steaming 'corpse' was later discovered by Mare after he hadn't shown up to a summons from Ainz.

Mare reported that Demiurge was hunched over in a squatting position in his room, mumbling something about 'dreaming of me, they were dreaming of me, so honored, I'm so honored' and he also didn't seem to react to outside stimuli of any kind for a good few days.

The 40 - The World of 2138 (1/3)

As The 40 explores the original world that Satoru/Momonga/Ainz mysteriously left behind and is currently thriving in the New World, they can see what the World of 2138 is all about.

And safe to say, it terrifies them. Especially when they're taking part in a challenge from an unnamed character:

However, for their benefit, all of them will be living in their own thriving environment that's 20 acres in width and length, completely breathable, having their own individual tiny homes for each member of The 40 to sleep in, a large dome to cultivate crops, a gym to recreational and training purposes, and a laboratory with futuristic tech for creation and research.

Yet, it still does little to comfort their minds when being surrounded by complete pollution with the environment being uninhabitable for any life to thrive. The sky was always hidden behind black smog, while the sun made only brief appearances every now and then. Thick, toxic fog frequently covered the cities, so almost no one went out without wearing a gas mask beforehand. During wet weather, the rain is acidic and foul-smelling and the storms are completely chaotic.

At certain points in time, Levi and Spike would venture into the polluted wasteland in hazmat suits to collect "material" for the other members of The 40 to study. To their distress, they would always find bodies of children and adults littering the area, as they're likely the unlucky poor who were cast out for various reasons and died from the polluted environment.

Despite the bad weather and polluted infertile land, it pales in comparison to how the civilizations are currently functioning.

That will happen in the next update!

I kinda imagine ainz’ fairy husband has butterfly wings, also no one has brought up how it affects the two of ainz’ simps, I dunno if there’s more then those two...

Ah yes, Shalltear and Albedo, they still simp after Ainz but there’s nothing stopping them from simping over his fairy husband either. Both of them aim to become consorts of the two. While Albedo does not love fairy husband quite as much as she loves Ainz she still admires and looks up to him immensely as the one closest to the overlord of death. Sometimes she tries to imitate his behavior in hopes of gaining the attention and affection of her beloved lord.

Meanwhile, Shalltear simps after fairy husband just as much as she does for Ainz. She wants to get right in the middle of that heteromorphic sandwich. Every time she sees the two of them express any sort of affection to one another she almost faints because it’s too much for her poor undead heart to handle, to see two supreme beings acting to loving with one another. Ah, the bliss!

Stepping away from simping for a second, Pandora’s Actor would have a positive relationship with Ainz’s husband and would consider him his second father. Meanwhile, Ainz is twice as embarrassed by Pandora’s Actor when his husband is around because he doesn’t want him to see his cringe past (his partner just finds it charming honestly).

Reader and her yandere archons is reminding me of Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord and his dynamic with the literally all of Nazarick. Blind zealotry to the point of delusion where they'd rather die than dissapoint them? Check. Poor normal person who just wants them to chill the fuck out and not do crazy shit like take over the world for them or kill anyone who looks at them funny? Also check.

i actually really wanted to make the series darker because it is a yandere story, but then i realized that i kinda gravitated more to soft yanderes. so here we are with yandere genshin cult.

let's be honest, if you're gonna be isekai'd into genshin, you might as well make the most of it (especially with a cast that just seems a bit too lenient on having you). you can fully accept your circumstances or grit you teeth as your oh, so lovely worshippers decide what seems to be the best for you.

about a few weeks in the teapot after being abducted, it should click in your head that if you play your cards right, you can minimize any damage-- including in-fighting among characters and massacres. but that's if-- and only if-- you play your cards right.

The Killer of the Reincarnated: Cheat Slayer - I Think WE’VE Been Cheated!!!!

Isekai Tenseisha Koroshi – Cheat Slayer also known as, The Killer of the Reincarnated: Cheat Slayer.

Honestly, this was not a bad read; not good, not great just, not bad. I am a devout connoisseur of the isekai genre (with Grimgar: Of  Fantasy and Ash being my favorite of the bracket) so when I heard that the author of Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler, Homura Kawamoto, was writing a parody isekai about some of the more prominent isekai protagonists I was all in. Moreover, I was intrigued because this was essentially dead on arrival because of the outrage it caused.

In terms of the substance, there wasn't really anything bad about it. It was a fairly straight forward chapter that established the world, the protagonist, his reason for his call to action, the antagonists of the manga, and the initial means for how he was to go about fighting the first villain.

If anything, I suppose the author didn't develop a better reason for Lute, the protagonist, to start his quest for revenge outside of surviving a botched attempted murder on his person, his childhood friend being killed and raped in front of him, and a witch telling him that he could get revenge on said isekai characters.

Basically, there should have been some real seeds of vitriol planted in order for the revenge angle to sprout (as we've seen done tactfully better in Redo of Healer). 

Outside of that lack of preferred substance, in truth, I really don't have much to complain and or gripe with because there is not really much to lament about. It seemed like a fairly solid idea that had decent promise of developing into something more fruitful. It really feels like it should have - at the least - gotten another chapter before the plug was pulled, especially when one takes into account Kawamoto’s writing style. His strengths, at least when it came to Kakegurui, is tied to the dire situations the characters find themselves in, the certain set of rules or parameters chaining them there, and how said characters think, bluff, and maneuver their way around and or out of the situation. I can’t help but presume the same was to be executed in this manga, particularly when we have the parameter of how Lute believed that “it’s impossible to kill a reincarnate”.

Paradoxically, the biggest controversy of the magna is also it’s biggest appeal.

The isekai characters - collectively called the Rebels Against God - are candidly drawn as pastiches to main and supporting characters of other isekai works. The controversy came from the fact that both readers and the editorial department felt that depicting characters that looked so similar to those from other series as villains was problematic, as the respective creators of those works could see that use as denigrating.

Personally, I feel that this is a very poor excuse to cancel the magna because a pastiche/analogue of a character does not - in itself - denote that said user of the parody MEANS that they view said character negatively (I mean, just look at Venture Bros.)

As fate would have it, Lois Crawford (the analogue of Shin Wolford) kicks off the revenge plot but, his parodied manga is one of the few I have yet to read and or even be familiar with. Nonetheless, his snide, bloodlust, and scornful dismissiveness toward characters, particularly the other members of the Rebels Against God was the start of a jumping on point.

If anything, I wish Kawamoto would have brought more pastiche isekai characters such as:

Hajime Nagumo from Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest;

Diablo from How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord,

and Rudeus Greyrat from Jobless Reincarnation: I Will Seriously Try If I Go to Another World.

(Granted, Rifujin na Magonote, author of Mushoku Tensei, wrote on Twitter: "'Making characters appear who are recognizably borrowed from characters from other works, and then turning them into villains and making them do vile things' ←This is crossing the line", SO maybe it was good that Rudy sat this one out). Ultimately, this is farewell Cheat Slayer... A great premise with some promise, and now I’m left pondering with what could have been... In summary, I feel cheated.

Okay this got me thinking, other then our emperor of Baharuth, what is the Erantel thinks of Ainz mother of what information they have?

Hmmmm... I would say that originally before everyone know that you're the mother of Ainz before the whole bloody war, summoning big ass demonic sheeps, and the fact Ainz being heavily hesitant on allowing you to come along to praise the word of the Darkness team.

I would say that they don't know that you exist just yet... But, you do come disguised as a traveling sewing shop (cloth proudly provided by Demiurge) to at least help Nazarick and give out an excuse to stalk follow Ainz. Two of the Pleiades maids would accompany you to gain little more money to help Nazarick, mainly Yuri and Solution. Both a great duo to attract consumers and deal with pricing. Though due to you being heavily reliant to auto battle in real life, when stuck inside the world, sometimes it's give in a little kick for you to plant in some seeds inside the kingdom for some... ideas later on.

But during the war, all I can say that you're like cyanide. You never notice it, but when you do - it's already too late. You're just like your son, an unstoppable monster.

Barbro Andrean Ield Ryle Vaiself - Honestly few days before the third battle on Carne Village lead by him, you met him inside a noble bar on accident. You were only there to at least gain some inside on what's going on inside the kingdom after you realized the tension was high in the air when you visited. Man made the mistake to be all grabby and disgustingly perverted manner of treating you, cue to you splashing your wine on him and getting bitch slapped in return. So you were really excited to see him getting slain during the third battle in Carne Village after you held back your urges on murdering him in cold blood.

Gagaran - You met her after the accident with encountering Barbro. She was one of the patrons that cheered you when you splashed your wine at him and booed when he slapped you. NGL, I would say that every lady hates him, as well the patrons inside the bar. Both of you bonded over talking about men, travels, and showing off strength outside the bar. Both of you admire each other for own personal reasons. Honestly tis a shame that the two of you will see each other as enemies once your gig is up.

Tuare - You pity the poor girl, honestly enraged that sex rings still exist and how people take advantage of that. Honestly, like why?! Brothels exist for a reason for desperate people, but some seems to be desperate for power, dominance, and blood during in bed... You'll have her under your wing when you have the chance to help/teach her some things.
