my personal thoughts on the Belcher kids futures are like. louise could get married someday (maybe to rudy or maybe not) but i dont think she'd ever want to have kids. she doesn't seem to like kids or be very maternal (apparently she's already told linda that she DOESNT want kids and saying that "she might change her mind when she's older" just seems shitty) and honestly the idea of pregnancy sounds like it would be terrifying to her. she doesn't want to grow a whole ass baby in her body wtf

tina is poly but i could see her settling down w/ one guy if he was really affectionate and open with her. they could have kids but definitely not until tina is in her 30s (unless there was like..... an accident or something) she'd probably want multiple kids so they grow up with siblings. also she could definitely raise kids in a polycule type situation like bob and linda with teddy FHDMDJSKSH

gene i could see having kids because he seems to be good at interacting with younger kids?? but i could also see him becoming like a teacher or something instead. he'd want to have a whole music career before he settles down either way. if he's gay or trans i dont know about BIOLOGICAL kids but maybe he'd become a foster parent or something :)

Gene pursues music. He's never super famous, but becomes a bit of a local celebrity. He takes over for Ms. Merkin when she eventually retires. Def in a poly relationship with Alex and Courtney

Louise takes over the restaurant and I will die on this hill. Bob preps her for owning the place in her teenage years. She's in a queerplatonic relationship with Rudy. She turns her bunny ears into a beanie when she's older

Hey I really love your story Baby Steps! Zeke and Tina are the cutest, I also wanted to say I love how you incorporate Gene, Courtney, and Alex in the fic. I see you developing that poly ship 👀, it's so cute. Do you have any headcanons for that GAC ship? Or just general why you like it?

Gene and Alex are the ones who first get together, but they realize very quickly that something is missing. They need their girl, nothing feels right without her.

Courtney dates around for a little bit after Gene and Alex get together because she feels lonely and left out, but nothing ever feels right to her. She needs her boys.

When they all get together, no one is surprised. They all balance each other out in the best of ways.

Bob kind of doesn't know how to react to the news at first. He of course loves his son and fully supports his queer and unique ways, but polyamory isn't something he considered until his son came home declaring that he loves his boyfriend and his girlfriend. Thankfully Bob likes them both and gets used to it pretty quickly.

Linda LOVES Courtney, they get along so so well. They're always breaking into song and dance numbers around each other. Bob pretends to be exasperated and Gene and Alex cheer for them on sidelines or, more often than not, join in.

Alex's mom is hesitant about the throuple at first, but Linda talks to her and soon Mrs. Papasian is Team GAC pack.

Courtney's dad, however, REFUSES to accept it. This was not the life he envisioned for his little girl, and he tries to keep her away from the boys. It doesn't work though, and the Belcher and Papasian families fight him about it until he finally backs down. He never stops being salty, though. Get rekt, Doug lmao.

After they graduate high school, they all move in together. Gene is getting his bachelor's in theater, Alex goes for computer science, and Courtney decides to be a kindergarten teacher.

Courtney and Alex become pregnant with their son Casey when they're 20. They're all excited but also scared. The boys are so good to and for pregnant Courtney and absolutely dote on their son.

Alex and Courtney decide to get married when they're 22. Gene is the one who marries them, and after he declares them husband and wife he says "Now you may kiss, but kiss me after because my boyfriend and girlfriend just got married!!!"

Gene is not jealous at all of them getting married because he never had any interest in getting legally married. They do hold a little ceremony for all three of them a few years later for personal reasons.

When Casey is 6, Courtney becomes pregnant with her and Gene's daughter Jean. Yes, Gene picked out the name lol. She's a sweet little girl and everyone adores her, especially Casey.

Gene is poly outside of Alex and Courtney and they respect that, though they have no interest in anyone outside of their throuple. Gene's other relationships are pretty much strictly sexual, though, because he loves his husband and wife.

Alex and Courtney get jobs in their respective fields, and Gene becomes a comedian/musician (think Bo Burnam-esque style).

yo yo yiggity yo ... it’s me ( jaybae ) .... with muse #3 ! a version of moira has been chillin’ on my indie for months and i hardly use her so i thought i’d bring her home and let the fam have at her 🥰

backstory:

moira came into the world as a happy accident .. mommy was a stripper, daddy was in a band on a small tour. moira’s mom fell in love as soon as he sat at the stage and he was enamored by her. he offered to drive her home after her shift and the pair dated for a few months before moira’s mom was pregnant. neither one were prepared for the life of parenthood ( very wrong time, wrong place ) but they made it work for a while. then moira’s dad scored a record deal and a small tour turned into an arena tour within a few years....the distance and lack of time put pressure on their relationship and they ended it. moira’s dad would still pop up from time to time to see her when he wasn’t too busy. 

moira was pretty much raised at her grandparent’s house. her dad became more and more distant ( off doing rockstar things ) and moira’s mom returned to a life of stripping once her maternity leave was over. her grandparents put her on the bus, helped her with her homework and spoiled her as much as they could. the relationship with her mom was a bit strained but moira knew her mom was working for them - she never felt ashamed of her mom’s profession, even when she got older and understood what it was. her dad sent her money every few months and she knew better than to blow it on stupid shit. 

the only big purchase she bought with the money was an acoustic guitar. music was really her only hobby and in some way, she felt that the more she learned, the closer she got to her dad. everyone who loves music wants to strike it rich - but she just wanted to be like her dad who she didn’t really know. make him proud. even if he was only around in fragments of her life.

school was never her thing.....EVER. that being said, her grandparents were the type to force her to do her best. Cs weren’t acceptable in their household and she struggled - but the idea of giving her mom and her grandparents a better life ( and possibly reconnecting with her distant father ) helped her keep going. she decided to go to college .. long story short, she dropped out a few weeks into her junior year. she went to a school near harvard and met taline at a sorority party.....the way she felt about taline was exactly how her mom described meeting her dad - it was INSTANT. fast. passionate. moira was skipping class to go see her and surprising her with cute dates.

had been doing the ~music thing~ since she was about 14 but kicked it into overdrive at the age of 18. dropping out of school only gave her more time for music.....i’m not too good at voice claims but i’d say her music is very like alina baraz/kali uchis/a smidge of H.E.R ! she’s been trying to gain exposure for a year or two and although she realizes she could just namedrop her dad and have it handed to her, she wants to EARN it.

PERSONALITY:

free-spirited : independent and non-conventional .... doesn’t really need anyone for anything and definitely is a bit “ out there ” ! doesn’t always approach things normally and probably sees things differently than everyone else sometimes ...... an aquarius through and through

idealistic : i definitely think she’s the “rose colored glasses” label ?? has big dreams and thinks everyone should dream big .. she has moments of getting discouraged but never gets too down

ditzy : i already said she’s not the brightest and she’s definitely a bit of an airhead ... things just have a tendency to go over her head from time to time

temperamental : mimi has a mean streak for sure .. it’s not so much malicious as it is like ?? running her mouth ?? if you come off wrong or she misinterprets you, it’ll probably result in an argument. ( see : the New York “ break a leg “ gifset i reblogged because that’s very Moira )
