Could you please do poly! Crows x Male reader who’s tall and selective mute?(family trauma) He’s kinda like a mix of Kaz and Inej: doesn’t show emotion and his footsteps are silent. On the rare occasion, the crew will see him turn his head to hide a smile. I imagine they all just got back from an intense heist, reader was near passing out injured, and he mumbles about how much he loves them and he thanks them for dealing with him while tears slowly drip down his bruised face. Whole time Nina and Inej are tending his wounds trying not to cry, Wylan is curled up near him and Jespers is holding his hand while Matthias and Kaz are kinda just standing around. (I tried to give detail to make it easier, I’m sorry if that was a lot)
Tall Idiot
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Poly!Crows x male reader.
Notes: Not as long as I wanted it to but I had to get it out, so hopefully you’ll enjoy still.
Warnings: Wounds, kinda angsty but comforting. Nothing much I can say.
Tumblr media
“Keep your eyes open.”
Matthias told you while he held your body in his arms, he was only one who could carry you. The others followed behind him, Wylan by his side and smiling at you. Nina on the other side make sure to keep focus on your heart beat. As if the wound was fatal and they couldn’t save you. But this wasn’t that kinda of wound or at least not at that point yet.
Each of their minds worried about you in this moment and thought about what would happen if you drew your last breath. They wouldn’t get to see you try and hind your smile or how kind you could be dispute acting cold. On late nights you would join Jesper to keep watch and pull him off of the gambling table or just kept him company, Wylan tagging along most times.
Then when you helped Nina with whatever she needed around the bar, or walked with her to the market. Inej was glad to have you along on a job because you were just as good at being quiet, or when you two would hang out on the rooftops. Kaz would miss the way you curled up with a book in his office while he did his paperwork or plans. Matthias would miss you laying on his shoulders while he read a book or spend your legs across his lap to lay down.
They all had things to miss.
“Just a bit longer.” Wylan said trying to comfort you. The door to the shared house only a few steps away. You could see how panicked they were over you, how they tried so hard not to loss it. You didn’t speak much and maybe it was the sleep taking ahold of you, or them showing you again just how much they loved you, you started to talk.
“M’Fine,” you slurred a bit and your eyelids started to get heavy. “Thank you.” You look up at them, kaz and Inej now coming into view from behind. All pairs of eyes are on you, “No need to thank us, dear.” Inej came close and pushed the hair off your face. A small curled up as you sighed, “No thank you for putting up with me.,” your hands feel from your side and eyes finally closing shut, “I love you…” then you were out cold.
Kaz watched and his body began to feel the water surrounding him, “Upstairs now.” He shouted and they all moved fast. They rush upstairs and lay you onto the bed, Nina trying to heal you as best she can as Inej goes to get the supplies.
After everything, Inej is wrapping you up and Nina helping her. Wylan is sitting on the bed pressing a wet cloth onto your forehead while Jesper sits beside the bed and holds your hand. Kaz watches from the chair in the corner as if his body is frozen in place. Matthias along side him as he leans on the wall staring at you, as if he were to look away you’d disappear.
“You big tall idoit,” Nina leans closer with tears in her eyes. “I can’t believe he said “Put up with him.” When we are the ones to annoy him.” Jesper jokes while he is in the same state as Nina and he gives your hand a squeeze. “He’s a handsome idiot.”
Inej bows to her knees beside Nina and says her soft prays to wish you a healthily recovery, and to thank them for not taking you away.
Kaz raises from his chair and makes his way over, “He’s not gone yet.” His tone doesn’t sound comforting but he’s trying. He just needed to state facts “He’s stubborn.” Inej looked up at him and offers a smile. Matthias sighs and moved over to the group and stands behind Nina and puts his hands on her shoulders, sending his own prayers out.
They would all watch over you and kept you safe. All six of them loved you to ends of the earth and back.

i like au multishipping and stuff but in canon i think kaz/jesper romance ruins their dynamic. and a lot of the drive to make it romantic comes from wanting to explore the depths of it. but their platonic relationship has so much depth and complexity. like the way kaz sees jesper as a friend and companion isn’t talked about nearly enough. he called jesper the name of the brother he’d been trying to avenge for eight years. he brought jesper to the parlay with geels. he loves jesper deeply and platonically in canon, and i think so many people cheapen platonic relationships and treat them like they aren’t good enough, but jesper and kaz love each other. they’re best friends. they fight and insult each other, but at the end of the day, they trust and care for one another. they rely on each other, and that deep platonic love and respect is beautiful and should be cherished more.

Poly! Kanej x gn! Reader - Bound to one another
A/n: This was a fun one to write, and originally it was going to be longer (kaz and inej are barely in it lol) but my trail of thought for this one ended. Regardless, I hope you all still like it!
Summary: As an anniversary gift, Inej gifts the three of you matching knives with your titles on them. You are confused by yours.
Warnings: killing, swearing, kidnapping, slavers, the slave trade in the grishaverse, violence, not too graphic gore, I think that's it? You have been warned!
The three P's:
[Pov: 2nd person] [Pronouns used: you/your] [Pairings: (poly!) (romantic!) kanej x reader]
Tumblr media
As always, not my gif
It had been a week before your anniversary and Inej (despite the three of you agreeing not to) had decided to gift each of you a knife. As she claimed she wasn't going to be back from the seas until the day after so she had to give it to you now.
They looked the same to the unassuming eye - cold, black, slick, grisha steel daggers. Yet every one of them had a name forged onto the blade that you could only see under certain lights.
Inej's inscribed Queen of Thieves, Kaz had Crow King, and yours was Ketterdam's Ruler.
At first yours had confused you, Inej's made sense, she really was the queen of thieves, and Kaz's was just bluntly obvious but yours seemed to always escape your mind any time you felt close to an answer. How could you be the ruler of Ketterdam, when there was already a crowning king and queen?
Even after being with the two of them after all this time doubts like this always clouded your mind, they were after all together before you ever came into the picture. What if the frame didn't fit with you in it? What if Ketterdam didn't need another Monarch?
Then the doubts would quell when Kaz would brush his hand against yours, or when Inej would slide you a book that you wanted to get and hadn't even mentioned it to her yet.
Of course they didn't disappear, like Inej they were never truly gone, but right now you had more pressing issues.
"Y/n, you need to get out of here." Kaz hissed at you as the both of you had your bodies pressed up against a wall as you peaked around to check if there were any guards.
This time it wasn't a merchant's mansion where you were going to steal some jewel, or other valuable. This wasn't even a heist, originally you had gone alone but Kaz had tailed you to the slaver's house and now he had decided to show himself.
Another reason you weren't truly in rank with your lovers, you couldn't pin point their presences when they could do it with each other.
The reason you were at this slaver's house was actually your girlfriend's and boyfriend's anniversary present.
"Why did you follow me Kaz." You growl back quietly as you see the guards go through their next rotation.
"Inej is back."
Shit.
How could you forget that Inej was coming back today? The day where the three of you were having your unofficial anniversary nonetheless! Although that was the whole reason why you were here, yet it didn't push down your disappointment in yourself. The three of you had made a pact that you were not allowed to go on any jobs the day Inej comes back from the seas. Of course you were the one to break it.
Though, you weren't technically on a job.
"This is important Kaz, tell Inej I'll be there in an hour."
Ouch, that would hurt your plan a bit but you would stick to it nevertheless. You wouldn't let them down more than you already had.
"No."
You took a quick glance at Kaz to see his face glaring back at you before you looked back and saw your opening.
"I promise this isn't a job, I'll be there in an hour and if not wait thirty more minutes then you can bust me if you want."
Kaz sighed as your heartbeat quickens with the adrenaline starting to course through your veins.
"Fine, one hour."
You grinned at him before taking your opening.
His name is Ethan Sullivan, and you were going to kill him.
Your motive for killing this bastard was simple, or rather it was simple to you.
He's a slaver who not only has been getting on Inej's ass but nearly killed her. Then he captured Jesper and only let him go after he got Kaz.
While Kaz had escaped fairly quickly he still had found out your significant others weakness; each other, and now he was dangerous. Very dangerous.
Your pretty crows were waiting to find the right moment when to strike him back, but you knew he wouldn't whittle his life on a pleasantly soft sofa as he figured out the secret to take over the barrel. His plans had to be going out soon, which meant he was an admirable foe and dangerous - too dangerous. He had to be put down, permanently.
"Come here." Sullivan croaked over to you as you posed as a servant with a blanket resting over your arm. "Help me out of bed."
You had chosen the precise time where you could be alone with him, so that no one could disturb your little scheme. You even made sure to lock the door on your way in, then you would escape through his window.
Moving towards the man you felt the weight of the dagger Inej had given you weighing down your pocket.
Ketterdam's Ruler.
"Move quicker would you!" He snapped at you and it's there you make your decision.
You do move quickly, though as you do you leap on top of him and place the stygian blade to his throat.
He tries to cry out but you shush him like he's a child and press the knife close to his throat.
"Ethan Sullivan, you nearly killed the Wraith, and you captured Dirtyhands, now I'm here for vengeance."
He laughed, and it almost sent a shiver down your spine, you're sure that's the laugh many children have heard as they beg for their parents.
"I was just evening out the odds, nothing wrong about that." He grinned. "Ketterdam might just eat them alive because of it though."
Fury flashed through you, yet instead of slashing his throat right in that moment like Inej would have done, like Kaz would have finished, rather you took his throat in between your hand.
He chocked, and his eyes widened when you tightened it.
"Mercy!" He managed to chock out, the words barely leaving his purple lips.
You would grab him with an iron fist and show him what your mercy is.
What Ketterdam's mercy is.
Using your other, free hand you twirled the dagger in it and the title Inej had given you through it glared back at you, then you plunged it into his thigh.
He tried to scream but it was muffled by the hand around his throat.
"That was for my treasure Inej, she wouldn't have wanted you to suffer much."
You pulled it out and before he could even attempt to scream again you sliced open his face.
"And that." You grunted through gritted teeth. "Was for my lovely Kaz, he would have wanted you to suffer, very much."
Releasing the hand on his throat he tried to break away from your grip, but you held him down and put the dagger against his throat for the last time.
"I am Ketterdam's ruler, and this is my mercy."
Then you cut his throat.
You didn't bother to watch him chock on his own blood before you were out the window, checking your watch. You were so late, and dressed like a servant nonetheless.
Yet, the disappointment, the fury at yourself for finding yet another thing lacking that your lovers had that you did not, didn't come. You have protected your own tonight, you've sent a message to all who listen closely to the whispers of drunken shadows and barrel rats. You were Ketterdam's ruler, you ranked far above Inej and Kaz and would do anything to protect them.
The three of you were equals in this game, but when it came to their safety you had the ultimate say over this filthy city. You are Ketterdam's ruler, you keep her on line when she gets too wild, and let her off her leash when people need to pay their dues.
Like Ethan Sullivan, and you think there will be others still, that's alright with you. They will be no match for your mercy.

If your requests are still open could you do Poly!Wesper x Male!reader? I don’t have any specific ideas except for maybe angst ending in fluff?
Couple Nap- Poly! Wesper x male! reader
Okay, hi! I'm so sorry that this coming out late--demotivation is kicking my ass like no other and writing has been pretty hard lately, hence the fact that it's coming out so late, but I hope you like this anyway!
Fic type- this is angst with a fluffy ending
Warnings- mentions of demotivation and sleeping to cope with it, mentions of a serious wound that needed to be stitched up with a needle and thread by the reader himself, mentions of sleeping to cope with the pain
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jesper Fahey and Wylan Van Eck could've ripped your heart out and it would not have mattered. You would've loved them still, and in turn, you knew the reverse to be true. You could've ripped their hearts from their chests and they would've loved you just as much.
You couldn't quite explain why, but you'd been having a tough few weeks. First it was just demotivation, the inability to do much more then sleep and eat and thank Wylan and Jesper endlessly for their understanding as they kissed your forehead and promised you that things would get easier.
Then, when you agreed to go on your first job with Kaz since the demotivation had picked up, you ended up with a serious wound to your leg. It was one that you ended up stitching up yourself with only a spool of thread that Wylan had found at the bottom of his bag and a piece of Grisha steel that Jesper had managed to fabrikate into a needle.
It just felt like things were going to shit constantly. Four weeks of unavoidable issues, a week of pain that had resulted from needing to stitch up a wound that went from the beginning of your ankle to halfway up the side of your thigh. Nothing felt right, and everything felt just a little off kilter.
It was frustrating, and it was the precise reason you found yourself trying not to cry as you watched the sunset from Wylans garden in the Van Eck mansion, blanket draped over your shoulders to help combat the icy breezes of Ketterdams mid-spring weather.
It was where Wylan and Jesper found you, said nothing as Wylan merely pulled you into a hug, Jesper hugging you from behind in the seconds thereafter. They'd watched you go through the shit you had been going through in those past five weeks. They'd done their best to comfort you throughout the ordeals but they could tell that the hug was what mattered the most in that moment.
"You all right?" Wylan asked as you pulled away, leaning into Jespers arms as he pressed a kiss to the side of your head. Wylan took your hands into his, seeing the tears that'd skated down your cheeks in the last of the light of the rare Ketterdam sun.
When you shook your head, Wylan leaned up and pressed a kiss to your forehead, hands going to your cheeks and idly rubbing the tears away with the pads of his thumbs.
Jesper pressed a kiss to the side of your head again, arms tightening around your waist as he moved, pressed a kiss to the back of your head and idly began tracing shapes against the skin of your stomach, that of which was covered by one of his shirts.
"Been dealing with a lot," you hummed, one arm going up and back in search of Jespers head while the other wrapped around Wylans waist. "Had a tough couple of weeks. I'm tired, but I feel stupid for feeling tired because I slept on and off for four weeks before the heist, anyway, and I've been sleeping because it helps me deal with the pain while the stitches heal. I'm tired--I'm so tired, but it feels like all I've done is sleep lately."
Jesper kissed the palm of your hand. "You've every right to be tired," he hummed. "You've been through tiring things lately."
"Demotivation tires the mind," Wylan said. "Healing from a deep wound on your leg has made you tired physically, and that's fine."
"I feel useless," you said. "Aside from the heist, it feels like I've not done anything in ages."
"You're allowed to feel useless," Wylan amended.
"But in turn, Wylan and I are allowed to remind you that you are not useless," Jesper said. "Because you aren't. You're going through a rough patch, as people do."
You couldn't think of a response. The tears welled up in your eyes again and Wylan pressed a kiss to your forehead once more, wiping them away with the pads of his thumbs as Jesper hugged you just a bit tighter.
"I love you," you said, not specifying who you were saying it to because you were saying it to both of them.
"We love you too," Jesper hummed. "C'mon. I think we're due in for a couple nap."
"A couple nap?" Wylan asked. "What in the bloody hell is that?"
"We could do in for a night of rest," Jesper said. "I was trying to be cute--napping as a couple, couple nap. It's how Nina and Inej reference it when we'll all fall asleep cuddled up together on the way back from heists out of the country. According to Nina we took plenty on the way back from the Ice Court, as well as the jewelry heist they got us in on the winter after."
You snorted. "We're not calling it that," you said. "A nap as a couple suffices just as well, even if Nina and Inej think otherwise."
You turned a bit and gave Jesper a quick peck on the lips, the hand that was on his face moving to one of the hands that was resting against your stomach. In the samw time, the hand of yours that was on Wylans hip moved off of it, finding Wylans hand and entwining your fingers.
The three of you proceeded into the Van Eck mansion. You knew that the next while was probably not going to be the easiest while, but you knew it would be manageable if you had your boyfriends at your side.

poly!crows, flufftober day 8: rainy day (ao3)
When October comes to Ketterdam, she announces her presence with smoky grey skies and buckets upon buckets of rain. It’s quite an abrupt announcement too; one minute, Nina gets up and leaves her laptop to go make a cup of tea. Two minutes later, she returns with tea, a generous handful of biscuits and sleets of rain pelting the window. She doesn’t take her eyes off it as she sits back down. First comes disbelief, then comes Kaz’s voice in her head reminding her that she’s in Kerch now and the weather is about as reliable as anything else.
She remembers her partners are all out, and she sighs. Then she cheks the weather app and finds the rain is due to carry on all evening, and she sighs again, harder this time.
After firing a quick message to the group chat, she tries to return to her work emails, though they hold her attention even less than they did before. Her phone lights up, then fades, then lights again, coming alive as the Crows give their various reactions.
wolf boy (but not in a furry way): oh wow! thank djel I have the car :p
wolf boy (but not in a furry way): who changed my nickname again?
Llewellyn: couldn’t have been me!
Llewellyn: who still uses emoticons?
Matthias Helvar changed his nickname to Only Sane Man
wylan van fuck: matthias is never beating the furry allegations
wylan van fuck: but I do second the oh wow!
wylan van fuck: @ matthias since i’m ur favourite ur still picking me up from work right???
Only Sane Man: we don’t have favourites, wy. but yes I will still pick you up.
wylan van fuck: yay!
Llewellyn: gay
Only Sane Man: driving cars is gay now?
Wraith: so does that make jes straight?
Llewellyn: I’M BEING HATE CRIMED?
Llewellyn: BY MY PARTNER?
Llewellyn: IN THE QUEER POLY GROUP CHAT?
Llewellyn: WITH OUR OTHER PARTNERS?
wylan van fuck: how in the fuck did we get here?
Only Sane Man: put two kurge in the swear jar when we get home.
nina beana: well given the weather, mayhaps we use the swear jar money for pizza tonight???          to warm us up????
nina beana: wylan’s treat, apparently.
wylan van fuck: shit yea the weather
Only Sane Man: four kruge.
Llewellyn: I love pizza!
Llewellyn: especially when its paid by wylan’s swearing
Llewellyn: @ wylan, say more cuss words so we have more pizza money
wylan van fuck: *send a voice message* 2:30
Wraith: this would go so hard at an open mic night.
Nina snorts into her tea as she replays Wylan’s message. In her mind’s eye, she can see the others’ reactions, Jesper dancing to it, Inej laughing, Matthias’ silent mortification and prayers to Djel. She presses herself into the couch and carries on with her emails, the rain drumming steadily and relentlessly against the windows.
Twenty minutes later, her phone buzzes again, and this time she finds a picture of a completely drenched Kaz, looking at the camera and managing to be both supremely pissed off and completely unaffected.
kazzlus dazzlus: *sent a picture*
kazzlus dazzlus: its raining.
She spits her tea out at that.
Inej is the first one home, her workplace less than twenty minutes on the bus. Nina opens the door to find her sopping wet on the porch, white coat turned brown and her neatly-styled hair now frizzy and tatted and curling at the bottom. She practically yanks the girl in through the door.
“You okay, love?” Inej’s hands are like ice beneath hers, as is her cheek when she pulls her into an embrace.
“Other than the typhoon outside, I’m good,” she replies, gently returning Nina’s squeeze. She lets out a gasp then, immediately dropping her bag and pulling her sodden coat off her. As Nina shuts the door, Inej pulls the tie from her hair and shakes it out. “Remind me again why I don’t work from home?”
“Because-and I quote- you’d never get anything done with the rest of us running around.”
“Ah, that,” she says with a roll of her eyes. She plants a kiss on Nina’s cheek before darting to the stairs, her movements as nimble as if back on the high wire. “I’m hitting the shower. When are we doing pizza?”
“Not until the rest of them get home,” she replies. Inej nods and carries on two-at-a-time up the stairs. Nina lets her eyes linger on her small frame before turning back towards the living room, a wry grin curling at the corners of her lips.
“Save me a cookie?” Inej’s voice calls from upstairs. Nina chuckles warmly, blows a kiss towards the stairs, and the jar is moved from the cupboard to the coffee table.
Really, Inej didn’t have to ask.
The rest trickle in steadily over the next few hours. Jesper alerts them with a knock at the window, their eyes so wide they take up half their face. They all but barrel into Nina when she opens the door, other hand reaching out to grab the expectant Inej. At first they’re delighted, basking in their partners ever-persistent affection. And then the seconds turn into minutes, and realisation dawns on the pair of them with incredibly precision.
“You’re using our body heat aren’t you?” Inej asks.
“Yep!” The two rolls their eyes, exasperated and slightly shivering against Jesper’s cold hands, and it takes both of them to shove him off.
“Hot shower, “ Inej tells them with a poke to the chest. “And then maybe Nina will share her cookie stash.”
“Uh, they have to earn the cookie stash!”
Jesper comes down ten minutes later, clean, warm, grinning like a madman, and wraps Nina in a tight embrace that sweeps her off the ground. Apparently, it was enough for a cookie.
It’s around half an hour later when the blue blur of Matthias’ car appears at the window, obcusred by the heavy fog covering the glass. Minutes later, a flash of red hair that can only be Wylan emerges and sprints to the door, followed by Matthias rushing up the path. Jesper is at the door and opening it before Wylan can even get his key in the lock, wrapping the two of them in a tight hug that lasts until Nina appears at his shoulder and reminds him gently that cold air travels through open doors.
The smiles don’t fade though. Matthias pecks her cheek before half-jogging up the stairs, making a show of trying to beat Wylan to the shower but moving suspiciously slowly for a guy who runs marathons for fun. The three of them, Nina, Inej and Jesper, can hear Wylan’s laughter reverberate through the bathroom door, answered by a groan that sounds anything but frustrated. Nina grins, initially to herself, but like a flame it jumps to Inej and then to Jesper and they’re chuckling, softly, under their breaths.
Then Matthias is on the stairs, shaking his wet hair over them. Inej delicately steps aside and pulls Jesper into her spot, letting him take the full force of Matthias’s storm. Their reaction is suitably dramatic.
When Kaz finally turns his key in the lock, his coat is so soaked it’s basically a second skin and his dark hair clings to his face like seaweed against a rock. The edges of his coat drip, drip, drip along the floor as he makes his way down the hall, alerting them to his presence with the rap of his cane against the door and a raised eyebrow. The four of them (Matthias now in the shower) have crammed into their small kitchen; Inej and Wylan are sitting on the counter leaning over Nina’s shoulders, while Jesper is atop the table with his feet pushing one of their mismatched chairs outwards. The rumble of the dryer can be felt through the brick and the counter sways like the little boats that dock on the harbour in the summer.
“Brekker, settle a fight,” Nina asks. “We’re ordering pizza. We’re getting a veggie for Inej and Matthias and a plain one for Wy. Do we get a Hawaiian as a third?”
“If you do, that delivery guy will have to step over my corpse to get into this house,” he replies, gasping slightly as he pulls of his wet coat. He hangs it on the back of the door, the black tweet slipping in amongst the other coats of their house.
“Chicken and sweetcorn it is then,” Nina announces. Kaz runs a gloved hand through his hair before stopping beside Jesper, his arms folded over his chest. “Still bad out there?”
“No, Zenik, I just fancied a dip in the canal.” Inej throws Kaz a tea towel and he catches it expertly with one hand. “What sides are we getting?”
“Cheesy bread,” Nina replies. “And wedges. Anything else?”
“Springing for two sides?”
“The swear jar money covered it,” she replies. “Didn’t you listen to Wylan’s voice note?”
“No, on account of the fact I never open that chat unless I get to say something.” His voice is mumbled, half-hidden by the yellow towel over his face. It’s a lie, of course. Kaz Brekker can deny anything to anyone (and he has, many times) but screenshots don’t lie. And Nina’s phone is almost backed up with the amount that show ‘seen by Kaz’ beneath several of their messages. Not to mention the times she’s caught him half-smiling at his phone just seconds after someone put something in it, and all the things he’d only know if he checked it regularly. His ‘Dirtyhands knows all’ act can only go so far.
Still, she doesn’t say anything, and all of them let Kaz’s rickety wall stay where it is for now. In any case, his gloved hand is resting over Jesper’s on his shoulder as the five of them talked in hushed, soft tones about their work days and the storm and what movie to watch tonight.
“May I make a suggestion?” Jesper asks innocently.
“We’re not watching the Bee Movie again,” comes Inej’s reply, her voice soft and her eyes hard and unflinching when Jesper pouts.
“But it’s the greatest movie ever made!” he protests. “It’s a masterpiece. It’s a witty deconstruction of the capitalist system. It challenges us to think about the importance of those in society we brush off. It tackles our preconceived notions of relationships-”
“By that he means, she fucks the bee,” Wylan replies.
“She loved the bee! She and the bee had a consensual adult relationship!”
“Is Jesper debating the merits of the Bee Movie again?” Matthias appears in the doorway, hair tousled, clad in sweatpants and one of his old hoodies. The dark blue brings out his eyes. “Because I am not willing to sit through it for a third time.”
“Insert joke about furries here,” Kaz mutters as Matthias ducks through the doorway. Matthias rolls his eyes, a retort ready on his lips. But then he looks around the room, surveys each of his partners in turn, and Nina can practically see the wheels turning behind his eyes.
“Jesper is that my hoodie?” he turns to Inej, Wylan and Nina, all three of whom stand silently, repressing giggles and burrowing into the impossibly soft fabric enveloping them. “Are these all my hoodies?”
“In our defense,” Jesper begins. Then, he pulls his hands into the sleeves and lets the end flop around, a grin crackling across his face. “They’re comfy.”
“Very comfy,” adds Inej.
“Collosally comfy,” Nina continues.
“Well, shit, I was just going to say ‘really very comfy’,” Wylan adds. A chorus of “swear jar” comes to his reply, and to that he just scrunches up his face and laughs. Even Matthias’ indignance at the hoodie theft seems forgotten as he drags a hand over his face, eyes landing on semi-worridely Kaz.
“Go get out of those wet clothes, Brekker,” he says. “And help yourself to any of my jumpers sicne they’re all free anyway.”
“You’re good, Helvar,” Kaz says before leaving. His gait is slightly stiff with the rain, and Nina doesn’t have to say anything before Jesper flips on the kettle. They’re all too aware of how the cold can affect Kaz’s leg. Wylan will have a hot water bottle down in approximately sixty seconds.
“Matti,” Jesper says as he leans against the table. “Really, you should take the sweater theft as a compliment to your skills. You make them so soft.”
“There’s this magical thing,” he replies. “It’s called fabric softener. You should use it sometime.”
“There’s also the fact that you’re the biggest one here. Ergo, your jumpers fit all of us,” Wylan says. He holds up his arms, completely lost in the cavernous sleeves. “I mean, I offer my collection of jumpers with sheep on them all the time, but they never fit anyone so no-one takes them.”
“Sure,” comes Kaz’s voice from the stairs, slow and stretched out. “That’s the reason.”
Wylan’s reaction comes in three parts. First, he blinks like a deer in headlights, trying to search for Kaz’s meaning. Then realisation dawns on him, slowly, and they all watch as his mouth falls open in the kind of offence usually reserved for when family members are insulted. And for the third part, he looks down in abject horror, and the rest of them alternate by assuring them his sheep jumpers are lovely and also trying not to wet themselves from laughing so hard.
Saints, Nina has never felt so lucky.
In a crushing five-to-one defeat, they don’t watch the Bee Movie. Jesper makes a show of how disappointed he is, insisting that none of them have the same intellectual taste in film that he does. Instead, they go for Labryinth, followed by The Princess Bride and maybe Sharkboy and Lavagirl if there’s time. And for all Jesper’s whining, he is the first to start dramatically quoting each film as they set up. As Nina pulls the warmed blankets from the dryer, she can hear Matthias reluctantly playing the Buttercup to Jesper’s Westley and Kaz chiming in with a quote here and there to keep the scenes moving. She rolls her eyes and sighs “boys”, but the smile on her face is unshakeable.
The smile blossoms when Inej rises her her tiptoes and kisses the back of her head.
Arm in arm, they return to the living room with arms full of blankets just as Jesper is answering the door. As they enter, they’re greeted witha cry of “piggy back time” and the visual of Wylan rocket-launching himself onto Matthias’ back. Their partner gasps, stumbles and just barely rights himself before he bellows out a laugh and adjusts Wylan’s hold on him. Kaz sits on the couch, Wylan’s hot water bottle tucked against his bad leg and funnily enough, Matthias’s sweater over his pyjamas. Between gloved hands, Nina spies the familiar gleam of Kaz’s phone, and underneath Wylan’s giggling she hears the unmistakeable click of the camera. He pulls it back as soon as Jesper returns, face obscured by the mountain of food boxes he carries.
“Gentle reminder that the paper plates on the coffee table are to be used,” Kaz announces. “Because I am not cleaning tomato sauce out off the cushions again”. That comes with a pointed look at Nina, and she just shrugs before dumping the blankets in the middle of the room and announcing that its a free-for-all. Her preferred one, a white fluffy number Kaz got her last year, is already securely wrapped around her shoulders, and so she’s happy and comfy and seated for the night. Ergo, her partners may fight to the death if they please.
Secure in her blanket cocoon, she plops down on the sofa. Matthias descends on the pile, Wylan on his back, who announces their presence by sticking his fists in the air and yelling “blankets!” like his life depends on it. Laughter buzzes in the air as they all watch Matthias lowerself down, Inej punctuating it with a growing ‘ooooooooh’ and a ‘heck yea’ when he makes it without dropping him. Wylan grabs one for himself and one for Matthias as well, pressing the fabric into his free hand before returning his hands to Matthias shoulders and declaring “Onwards my noble Fjerdan!”.
“Here,” Matthias sighs. “Go be Jesper’s problem. I’ve had enough of you.” His words are annoyed but his tone is anything but, and Wylan lands in a giggly heap on Jesper’s lap.
And that’s it. Jesper straightens up against the couch, content for a moment, but then Kaz taps his shoulder and he scoots into the spot between Kaz’s legs. Wylan’s is curled on his side, his head in Jesper’s lap with Matthias next to him, rubbing circles into his back. With a slice of pizza in one hand, Nina runs her hand through Matthias’ hair, enjoying watching how his cheeks grow when he smiles. She presses her finger to one of his dimples and scratches against his cheek, and something warm bubbles in her chest.
Somehow, Inej managed to sneak in and situate herself on the couch without anything noticing. Her hand is intertwined with Kaz’s, and he dips his head and whispers something to make her laugh. When Nina looks, she sees Kaz’s free hand petting Jesper’s hair.
And it’s this. It’s just the six of them, and messy combinations of limbs and pizza and soft words and bad jokes. It carries them through, just like it always has.
The rain keeps pelting the window, unending, determined to be let in. But inside its them, and the movies on the TV, and the soft, fuzzy peace that glows openly between them all. And for Nina, and for all of them, it’s enough. It will always be enough.

Can you too a six of crows x male reader who is always clumsy and shy but yet they love to tease him about it (it can be a female reader if you want )
But he’s just so cute.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Poly!Six of crows x Male!Clumsy!Reader
Of course I’m doing it, it so freakin cute to think about. Because as a very clumsy person myself, I think we’re fun. Also you didn’t tell me if you wanted romantic or not, so I just did what I felt was right.
Warnings: Reader being a bit of a air-head, small cuts and wounds, short, slight teasing.
Tumblr media
You had a funny way of always walking into a room, either it was hitting your hand on the door frame, or tripping somehow. The crows were all over you, maybe just watching and cooing at how clumsy you are.
The first time they really noticed this was when you walked into your own room door, the handle didn’t work right. You couldn’t open it in the first try, and you didn’t even think about it as you tried to walk in but got face full of wood. But when they finally noticed you weren’t going to stop doing it, they fixed the damn thing. Because even if it was adorable, they didn’t like the bruising beginning to form on your forehead or nose.
“Sweetheart,” Nina batted her eyelids at you and stopped you by placing a hand in front of your chest, “There’s a hole in the floor.” She pointed down. A big hole in between the wood planks would sure injure someones leg. She watched your shy smile and look of shame, “Thank you.” Your pout and shyness had her freaking out. Nina just grabbed ahold of your arm and pulled you back and out of the old shop, nothing caught her eyes.
Lets just say you had bruised and small cuts all over yourself. The crows always had a eye on you. You could trip down the stairs again, almost giving them a heart attack when you first did it.
“Ten bucks says he walks into the table.” Jesper jokes and the group glares at him. “Don’t joke like that.” Wylan hit his chest and glared softly at him. “He already did that twice today, he can’t possibly do-” Matthias began to speak until he saw you bump into the table again. Jesper laughed as he called it.
“I swear I’m going to wrap him up with pillows.” Kaz groans and he stands up to make his way over to you. Inej just shakes her head, maybe she was was slightly amused but this was always happening.
Inej eyed you as you talked to kaz with a shy smile and tell him the story, him slightly already teasing you about it. “How he can always be a dangerous to himself at every moment is truly a wonder,” she looked at them and a smirk grew, “But he’s just so cute.”
They always cover the table or corners of everything if you bend down, knowing you’ll most likely hit your previous head. They also carry around bandages and band-aids for you. Anything they can have to prepare they have it. But kisses to each wound you have is a must. Cuddles even for the tiniest scratches.
Wylan doesn’t allow you near his things. Because you accidentally knocked over important vials, or you made a tiny explosion once and he had to pull you into the ground to protect you. “I love you, but this” he smiled while onto of you, not angry at all “This can’t happen again.” And he kissed you on the nose.
But they all tease you any chance they get, like it’s frustrating honestly. “My clumsy boy.” Jesper would say as he helps you down the stairs. Or when Inej would take away anything sharp away from you, “Let me handle these.” And she never let you touch her knives. Kaz wouldn’t let you on mission, but he would let you plan them with him. Because you were pretty smart at those things. Kaz will hold onto your waist when you’re about to fall, he would smirk at you just as acted.
Overall I think they would tease you a lot, even about things that happen months before. But you’re their clumsy man, and they will always love that about you.

ruling hearts: a ravkan love triangle
(Y/N) (Y/S) had been traveling alone for a while when she stumbled upon a group of people who had set up camp in a clearing. She was curious about them, and after observing them for a while, she realized that they were a group of soldiers who were fighting against the Grisha. (Y/N) had never met any Grisha before, but she had heard stories about them, both good and bad.
One person in the group caught (Y/N)'s eye immediately: Alina Starkov. She was strong, fierce, and beautiful, with dull brown hair and striking brown eyes. (Y/N) admired her from afar, but didn't dare to approach her or the others.
One day, while Alina and her companions were out on a mission, (Y/N) stumbled upon Nikolai Lanstov, the young prince of Ravka. He had been traveling incognito, disguised as a commoner, and had also come across the group of soldiers.
Nikolai was immediately struck by (Y/N)'s beauty and charm, and they struck up a conversation. (Y/N) found herself drawn to Nikolai's wit and intelligence, and before she knew it, they were spending all their time together.
Meanwhile, Alina had noticed (Y/N) and had been observing her from a distance. She was intrigued by the young woman's confidence and strength, and couldn't help but feel drawn to her.
One day, (Y/N) and Nikolai decided to go for a walk in the woods together. They found a secluded spot by a waterfall and spent the afternoon there, talking and laughing. As the sun began to set, Nikolai leaned in and kissed (Y/N). She was surprised but pleased, and soon they were kissing passionately.
Unknown to them, Alina had been following them and had witnessed their embrace. She felt a pang of jealousy and confusion; she had never been attracted to a woman before, but there was something about (Y/N) that drew her in.
Over the next few days, (Y/N) and Nikolai continued to spend time together, and Alina found herself watching them more and more. She was struggling with her feelings, not knowing what to do or how to express them.
One night, while the three of them were sitting around the campfire, Alina finally mustered up the courage to speak. "(Y/N)," she said softly, "I don't know how to say this, but I'm attracted to you. I've never felt this way before, but there's something about you that makes my heart race."
(Y/N) was surprised but pleased, and she took Alina's hand. "I feel the same way," she said. "I've been drawn to you since the moment I saw you."
Nikolai watched them with interest, but he didn't feel any jealousy or resentment. He had always known that (Y/N) was a free spirit, and he was happy to see her exploring her feelings.
From that moment on, the three of them became inseparable. They fought together, laughed together, and loved together. They were an unconventional trio, but they made it work, and their bond grew stronger every day.
Eventually, they faced their greatest challenge yet: the Darkling and his army of nichevo'ya. It was a brutal battle, and the odds were against them. But with (Y/N)'s fighting skills, Alina's Grisha powers, and Nikolai's strategic mind, they were able to defeat the Darkling and save Ravka from destruction.
After the battle, they all lay exhausted and wounded on the ground, but they were happy and relieved. (Y/N) looked at Alina and Nikolai, her heart bursting with love for both of them. She knew that their future together would be uncertain and full of challenges, but she also knew that as long as they had each other nothing else mattered.

Poly! Kanej x gn! Reader - Always Darkness (PRIDE 2023)
A/n: Happy pride everyone! Enjoy the 3rd installment to the fics of pride 2023 with this poly fic!
Summary: After being captured during a job, you attempt to down play the effects it had on you.
Warnings: this was written a while ago, physiological torture, torture, haphephobia, temperature changes, claustrophobia, panic attacks, questionable sanity at certain points, mild violence, swearing, hallucinations, asylums, straight jacket, suicidal thoughts, ptsd, trauma, mild blood, this is a heavy one guys, I think that's it? You have been warned!
The 3 P's:
[Pronouns used: you/your] [Pov: 2nd person] [Pairings: romantic! kanej x reader, (mentioned, platonic!) crows x reader]
Tumblr media
It was cold, it was dark, and it was wet.
Yet it was so warm it felt like your feet were frying off but at the same time, it felt like they were numb. The room was dark only that, never changed, it was always dark. The light could never reach in here, not even a sun summoner would be able to summon anything in that cell. It was damp, but maybe that was because of the blood pooling around you as everything else was dry.
Laying on your back you look up, your eyes widen and you barely blink five times a minute. The heat in the room is unbearable to you, so you try to sift your body, to relive some of it. Then all the heat leaves your cell, room, home? You weren't sure anymore, but it was suddenly cold, so cold.
The room starts to spin and all you used to be able to see was darkness, but now you see different worlds and universes! The rational part of your brain knows it's not real, but the part that slowly submits to the mental pain and stress of everything starts to convince you otherwise. The only thing that keeps you grounded is
Them.
Then everything is falling and you don't know if you're screaming because you can't hear anything, and you can't flail your arms to wave around because you're stuck in some sort of jacket. A straight jacket you think is what Kaz called it, he said it was for the crazies.
But you weren't crazy! Yet why else would you be in one then? Maybe you were insane...
Oh, right the mission. You weren't crazy, you weren't crazy, you weren't crazy! You were just locked up because you fucked up on a job. Maybe you deserved to be in here then.
Then you were back to getting up and to hitting the walls. Perhaps to feel something, to have control, but you couldn't kill yourself on them no matter how hard you tried.
So you screamed, cried, and yelled. Eventually, you started babbling on about other things that made no sense entirely.
Or at least you thought you made a noise. You couldn't tell, because what really is reality?
You sit up from your bed preparing to kill someone.
The knife that is usually underneath your pillow is in your hand at all times now after that one job. Always ready to strike.
"Fuck." You mutter as your head falls into your hands as tears well up in your eyes. Again.
You thought after two weeks out of that asylum you would be over all the nightmares, but you weren't over anything. You couldn't have anyone touch you unless they made it very clear what they were doing, you couldn't sleep in complete darkness. Hell, you didn't even like going in a dark space anymore. Oh, there's more. The constant flashbacks, and the extreme claustrophobia, not being able to have your hands wounded together. The feeling that complete silence gives you. Always, always, having to remind yourself that you're not going crazy, it was just the lack of sleep, or the partially non-existent sleep.
All of that could be summed up into one word PTSD! But if you wanted to be even simpler the word would be trauma.
Nobody really knew how bad it affected you either, Nina did because you had to tell someone but other than that you just didn't tell anyone. You didn't want Kaz or Inej to take you off jobs so you downplayed what happened and told them it wasn't a real asylum really.
Probably you would never tell your boyfriend or girlfriend, they had their own problems to deal with.
The tears don't fall down your face, but they are pretty damn close as you stand up to take a walk... Somewhere.
Walking out of the safety of your room you don't know where you're going, all you know is that you have one goal in mind: Away.
You find yourself outside of Kaz's office door. The last place you wanted to be, but maybe the place you needed to be. Your hand grip's the doorknob as you close your eyes and try and come up with some sort of excuse so you could be close to your lovers.
You could hear their voices talking and scheming together about the next heists and jobs. It brought a smile to your face, and instead of opening the door your hand slips off the door handle and you slide down to the floor. The wall next to the door was cold, and incredibly wet.
"Subject number one." Your head snaps up to where you heard the voice from. You've haven't heard a real voice in what seemed like years, centuries even. But instead of seeing a real live person all you can see through the darkness is a blurry speaker and the one way glass.
"Stand up please."
You don't stand up, rather you do the exact opposite as you start rolling around the room muttering random things. Perhaps you really had gone insane, or maybe you were just defiant.
"You see now that subject number one is clinically insane. Tested by the royal ravkan grishas themselves!"
Ha! No one had tested you! They had just put you in here as a form of punishment for getting caught stealing... What was it again? Silly you, you must have forgotten!
So then how much time would it be until you would forget them?
"So now we're going to do the cold test. It's where we'll turn the temperature down drastically to see what a clinically insane person would do!"
And then suddenly everything was cold - so cold.
"No, no, no, no no..." You mutter as your knees come up to your chest as it starts heaving.
Fuck, a panic attack.
"Please stop, don't touch me!" You blubber, tears filling your eyes as you start to rock back and forward.
"Please make it stop! Make it stop!" You cry.
You hear some foot steps and you assumed the door to Kaz's office opened, but you couldn't really comprehend everything properly because you were trying to keep yourself from spiraling further.
"Y/n!" You hear Inej's voice call out to you but the other voices are just too strong, filling up your mind with vicious attacks, and daggers killing off the very little of your will left. You didn't even notice the blurry figures crouching in front of you.
Forget. Everything will be easier.
Maybe you are really a freak.
You fucked up, you deserve to be here.
You almost killed your lovers, what kind of sick monster would do that?
You. Are. Insane.
Insane, insane, insane!
"Breath L/n." Kaz places an ungloved hand on your shoulder.
"Don't touch me!" You push him backwards suddenly standing up and you start sprinting towards the steps.
"Y/n! Wait!" Inej takes hold of your wrist and her skin on your reminds you of touch too much. Too much pain.
Crack!
A crisp and cold crack was heard throughout the Slat as you snapped Inej's wrist. She screams in pain and Kaz catches up to you both, worried, and beyond terrified at what is playing out in front of him.
"I said don't touch me!" You sob, and once again your knees give out underneath you as you collapse with sobs clogging your throat on the floor.
"Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry..." You whisper brokenly, the last bits of your mind coming back to you.
Inej and Kaz look down on you as Inej cradles her wrist in her hand and it finally gets to her.
"That was a real asylum wasn't it?"
And at the those words you sob harder as you nod because no words would be coming out of your mouth.
"Oh, saints Y/n." Kaz's voice comes over and calms you a bit, better than it did before anyways.
"We should have never have left you there."
With tremendous effort, Kaz crouched down beside you but he didn't come any closer. His hands are gloved now, so when he reaches out to brush a finger across your cheek you don't feel anything. Only the worry and love coming from Dirtyhands himself, he barely even touched you though. But maybe that was the point.
"Is this okay?" He questions, his hand dropping.
All you do is nod, you aren't in the right state of mind to be forming coherent words, the lack of sleep certainly wasn't helping.
Inej, probably from her standpoint, could see this and made eye contact with Brekker to see what they were going to do.
"You'll get them to the bed in your office. Unless you want me too, and that's fine I'll just have to wearing some gloves and some more clothes." Inej says - well you think she says that because every things starting to get really woozy, and the begins world spinning.
"Inej, Kaz." You whisper the words finally forming in your mouth bringing their attention to you right before you slip into unconsciousness.
"Help!" You scream. "Help!"
"No one can help you here." The sharp, villain-like, voice comes through the speakers into your cell.
You ignore what the person said and you try and bang on the walls with your body, because you had a fucking straight jacket on.
"Help me! Please! Kaz! Inej! Help!"
The person just laughs through the speakers and it vibrates throughout the room making you stop in your tracks. Inej and Kaz had to be coming... Right?
"Even if they could come for you Y/n L/n, why would they? Who would come for someone who's insane?"
"I'm not crazy!" You holler at the one way glass, knowing there was a big chance that the person was looking at you through there.
"Maybe not yet, but-" The person pauses and their voice sends a chill up your spine.
Instantaneously, the walls on the room start moving towards you. No, no, no, no... They keep on moving and you can hear the person giggle wickedly as they keep on coming towards you. The walls are going to squish you, you were going to die here.
"No!" You shout, you couldn't die here!
Abruptly, the walls stop moving, but then the lights start to dim until it's pitch black. You feel something caging you in, it gets closer and it starts to squeeze on your body till it stops. Then, starts to move back. Wait... It must have been the walls from before.
"N-no." You manage choke out, as you start to weep.
"Please! Anyone, help!"
"You will be insane Y/n L/n. Just you wait."
Something brushes up against you and you realize that you're terrified that it could be the walls moving in on you and you would never know.
"INEJ! KAZ!" You shriek.
"Get me out! Please let me out! I'm not crazy I swear!"
"Kaz! Inej!"
"Y/n! Y/n!"
You sit up with a start, sweat dripping down your face as tears well in your eyes.
Glancing beside you, you realize it's Inej who woke you up. Her face looked mildly terrified and she looked like she was in pain.
"I didn't want to touch you, so all I could do was yell." She said brokenly shoving her face into her hands.
"I'm sorry, we left you there."
You sigh but you smile slightly at your girl.
"It's not your nor Kaz's fault, I also told basically everyone it wasn't real. Even if I was lying to you, the biggest person I was lying to was myself." You close your eyes trying to will the memories away.
As you open them you start to see Kaz starting to limp inside the room.
"We're-" He starts
"Don't finish that sentence Kaz, I know you both are." You cut him off with a small glare, today was not the day you wanted to see the bastard of the barrel apologize.
He sighs and he sits on the other end of the bed. Inej comes and sits by Kaz who she links her hands with. Then you sit up and you ghost your hand over theirs.
It wasn't okay, but it could be. One day, it wouldn't be always darkness.
