Petition for Anti- pollution
We're SERIOUSLY going to kill not only ourselves, but millions of others, including people, animals, AND the environment if we don't get the pollution and stuff fixed. We're killing our home, our planet, we don't get a second chance if we kill earth, guys, we really, really don't.
Pollution, fossil fuels and oil? That's going to get us all killed, and fast too with how global warming and climate change is picking up.

Even out in the open ocean, Laysan albatrosses like Makana can’t escape the effects of plastic pollution. These incredible seabirds often mistake floating plastic for food, with devastating consequences for themselves and their chicks.
That’s why Monterey Bay Aquarium is participating in the final meeting of the Global Plastics Treaty, which kicked off today. We’re advocating for a strong treaty to protect wildlife, our health, and the future of our planet.

for the record I think wind turbines are beautiful and are not a stain on any landscape and the sounds they make are beautiful and whenever I see one I am filled with love for human innovation and hope for the future of clean energy and if they needed to be built close to my house I would go YAYY ^_^ WAHOO ^_^ WIND TURBINE!!
#TO CLARIFY I UNDERTSTAND THE NEGATIVE ASPECTS OF WIND TURBINES#like the noise pollution and the possibility of it harming birds BUT. at the moment they are one of the best energy solutions available#this post is mainly about how lots of people think they're ugly#I saw one on a mountain in new zealand and went WOAH!!!! SO COOL!!!!! WOW ^_^#listen to my gibberish boy#fearful that this may become a banger post and that people may piss on the poor about this if you know what I mean#BUT#POSTING ANYWAY. IMPORTANT TO ME#posic#objectum#<- saw some people tag these and thought hey why not. post for you all to enjoy ^_^

Yes yes… We’ve all been told ‘this is the most important election blah blah’. Yet, it’s definitely up there 😬 Scientists created a grouping of planetary thresholds in order to sustain life on Earth. It is 6 out of the 9 thresholds have been breached. The ocean soaks up so much of our waste & is reaching a tipping point. The article is real informative but shocking. This year it shouldn’t be about taxes and “kitchen table” politics. This election is about the future. This election is about SCOTUS allowing the poisoning of our planet, and frankly our society. It’s about moving forward with remedying decades of neglect & polluting. KamalaHarris will address these issues. Do you think DonaldTrump, a man who thins climate change is fake, will do the same?

From the article:
Researchers have invented a filter that removes harmful PFAS chemicals from water and recycles them in renewable batteries.
University of Queensland scientists say they believe the technology will be on the market in three years.
What's next?
The filters will be trialled at a Brisbane wastewater treatment plant before being expanded to other sites.

There are more than 1000 species of sharks and rays worldwide. Sharks are apex predators in the ocean and they keep the ecosystem balanced. With decreasing populations, many ecosystems are becoming unbalanced leading to an increase in species that otherwise would have low populations and increased invasive species with no predators.
Due to overfishing and bycatch, some species are on the verge of extinction. Some threatened species include:
The great white shark (classified as vulnerable)
Whale sharks (classified as endangered by the IUCN)
The great hammerhead (classified as critically endangered)
Dusky sharks are officially endangered. They are highly sought after for finning(a practice where fishermen catch and cut the fins from shark ,throw them back into the ocean defenseless to prey ,bleeding out and unable to properly float).
Sand tiger sharks are classified as critically endangered. They have 1-2 pups every two to three’s years making it much more harder for their populations to naturally replenish.
Ganges shark-very rarely seen and it is estimated that approximately 250 of this species are alive. They are true river sharks(can inhabit freshwater) and a unique threat to them is pollution.
To give these sharks and many others a fighting chance, sustainable fishing practices should be enforced and ecosystem pollution should be reduced.

Socks, food, and the ocean—they all have one thing in common: microplastics.
To tackle the microplastic pollution problem, researchers and policy experts from the Aquarium and @mbari-blog created an open-source library dedicated to helping researchers trace these tiny culprits back to their source. Check out the webcomic below to learn more!
You can read more about the library on our website. Together we can take down plastic pollution! 💙🌍
