The Art Supplies

Glue and paint all smeared on my desk and chopped up paper everywhere There’s sticky tape stuck to everything and notes stapled everywhere. Ink is all over the floor and glitter is littered all around rubberbands, string strand and so much more there is SO much more to be found... This is the song of my art supplies that is hopelessly out of control and why do I keep getting more when my stash already overflows? Stickers page in my drawers and sequins in ziploc bags a million googly eyes stare at you from off a homemade flag. A collection of pencils in a cylindrical tin With them colored in multiple shades crayons in boxes of cardboard you may find to your dismay Hot glue sticks, glues guns and scissors super glue, school glue and more glitter glue, clear glue and nail polish comprise my craft supply store. I’ll think of project to end it all and use up my art supplies but then I’ll realize when I finish that I tell myself so many lies This is the song of my art supplies that is hopelessly out of control why do I keep getting more when my stash already overflows? Rhinestones and construction paper popsicle sticks and tooth picks markers and graphite lead with my googly eyes they are mixed There are in random places  you open a cupboard and they are there they are crammed and stuffed so hopelessly that you’ll find them in your hair Beads in your mugs and pockets and marker stains on your hands you would think that you took a trip  to Artsy Craft Supply Land! But no! This is all my fault and I can’t get it under control but why do I keep getting more when my stash already overflows?

I finally love how soft I am.

I used to resent it.

My voice's flim-flam.

My dysphoria wanted to quit it.

The weight of my body rolls, going, "Wham!"

I wanted to hide it.

The meters I swam.

What if luck had a lot to do with it?

The way I wanted to go on the lam.

Without a change, I'd always come back to it.

No, look in the mirror, fam!

Yes - me, you, can we get with it?

Surrender to your inner jam.

I'm begging you - we're dying without it.

Grab yourself and go, "Damn."

You know you're worth it.

Release your throat and open your clam.

Go forth and speak it.

I love how soft I am.

Let me fill your world with it.
