Glitter's Baldur's Gate 1 Modlist
Here's just some mods that I use/like.
Quests BS Balduran's Seatower: Balduran's Seatower is a quest mod for BG:EE,��BGT, and EET that adds a new area to the city of Baldur's Gate, accessible via the south-west corner of the Docks District.
Gorgon's Eye: The Gorgon's Eye is a content mod for BG:EE and EET that adds an underground thieves den into the town of Beregost. It contains new quests, characters, stores and items. After enlisting in the Gorgon's Eye, you'll find yourself undertaking tasks that align with the operations of a typical thieves guild. You'll be expected to engage in activities such as theft, extortion, smuggling, bounty hunting, and assassination. However, it's worth noting that there are some satisfying options for good and neutral-aligned players. If at any point you find the guild's ways aren't to your liking, you have the option to switch allegiances and aid the City Watch in a raid against the Gorgon's Eye.
Shades of the Sword Coast: Shades of the Sword Coast is a mod that adds new quests and enhances existing areas. The first game from the Baldur's Gate series includes many areas that introduce some empty places. This creates a chance for new stories to appear. That is the main purpose of this mod: to add new stories, new characters, new items, and many new chances for your party to show what they are capable of. This is my favorite BG1 mod of all time
Black Hearts: Black Hearts is a new Quest mod for Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition that follows a plotline involving a character from Throne of Bhaal, Illasera, and a Red Wizard plot involving a dangerous new ally that has joined Sarevok’s cause. This mod repurposes fights from the Black Pits module, using those as a basis for various objectives given to players for the questline (with some variations to them in many cases).
Mechanics Lore from Learning: The Lore From Learning is broken down into more targeted components for the player. However, they all work on the same mechanic: at every rest, your main character will have some time to read books, talk with their party, etc. It is during these rest periods where lore triggers will be evaluated and, if appropriate, bonuses awarded. 
Tweaks Anthology: The Tweaks Anthology is a WeiDU compilation of nearly 200 components of cosmetic changes, house rules, and other tweaks. Some of these were fan requests, others are needed changes, and others simply make dealing with the more irritating aspects of the game engine easier. Each component can be installed separately so the player can pick and choose only which ones they wish to install.
Tome and Blood: Tome and Blood is a mod that revises and expands the class options for Mages and Sorcerers. This mod began as the Sorcerous Origins kitpack, which took advantage of the newly added Sorcerer kit options to add several kits to Sorcerers. It has since grown into a mod that makes changes to all Mage and Sorcerer kits, spells and items as well as adding dozens of new kits, abilities and functionality.
Combat Skill Proficiencies: This mod is all about improving gameplay. While I love mods that bring the game closer to PnP, like Rogue Rebalancing and aTweaks, BG is a single-player computer game. If tweaking a rule makes this specific game more fun, then it's a good tweak, PnP be damned. Consider this mod as a collection of 'house rules' specific to the proficiency systems in Baldur's Gate campaigns. Every choice has been made with an eye to the particular gameplay mechanics of BG2 and the EEs. Everything is completely optional. You can use as many or as few of the mod components as you want. There is no 'core' component; use what you like, ignore what you don't.
Stat Overhaul: This makes a number of tweaks to ability scores and related aspects of the game rules, such as saving throws, experience points, and magic resistance. Everything is completely optional. You can use as many or as few of the mod components as you want. There is no 'core' component; use what you like, ignore what you don't.
NPCs/Companions
Drake: Drake is crude, sarcastic and never minces his words. Unusually pragmatic and cynical for a servant of justice, he nonetheless follows the ideals of the Tyrran faith, albeit often in… unorthodox ways. He prefers to live through life as it is rather than how it should be, and indulges heavily in drink and innuendo. This puts him at odds with his peers, and his direct personality often causes the same with his travelling companions. For all his apparent faults, however, Drake is honest, reliable and often more intelligent than his demeanor may suggest. He has a strong sense of morality, choosing to see the world in more than black and white. He is strongly devoted to his family above all things, including the Order.
Sirene: Sirene exhibits many of the typical qualities expected of a paladin; she is kind, dutiful and faithful. However, beneath her calm exterior lies a hidden temper owing to the fell blood which flows in her veins. Though she is a devoted champion of Ilmater, a past of being ostracized and persecuted by those she wishes to call her fellow men has left her unsure of her abilities and worthiness. She can be easily provoked by challenging, insulting or mocking her faith, which can be seen in her interactions with characters such as Tiax, Eldoth or even Xan, though she is also quick to acknowledge and apologize for her mistakes. She is closer to the ‘good’ side of her alignment rather than the ‘lawful’, and prefers protecting the weak to destroying evil. Because of this, she may be slightly more tolerant of evil companions, even if she can also be quite judgmental towards them. However, she will not tolerate Dorn (though they can come to an uneasy truce during Siege of Dragonspear)
Bristlelick: The mod adds a new NPC – a Gnoll Bruiser, a former bandit, who worked for Garclax, a gnoll you may also encounter in the original game during the investigation of the Bandit Camp. Bristlelick is a frontline warrior of neutral character. He enjoys battle, a fine meal, and seeks vengeance for the death of his trusted companion, Bull-Tall. The mod includes a series of timed talks, some scenery talks, and a set of Bristle’s personal items. To make him fit well into the concept, he also received his very own kit. The NPC may join your party near the rocky road on the Bandit Camp area (AR1900). In Siege of Dragonspear, he may join the team near the first camp (BD1000).

Screw the department to force us to re-hire you? I don't think so.
Disclaimer: Although my part in this revenge was kinda small, it was the nail in the coffin for the douchebag. Also the story is kinda long for the sake of context. Also English is not my mother language and after reading some stories I might as well share even just for the sake of it.
I was hired in a smartphone manufacturing plant as a mechanical engineer, this was my first job as an engineer so I was kind of excited... until I met a technician, we'll call him Z-man. Z-man was a technician that was very angry that they "hired a bloody engineer instead of paying him more". I want to make clear that the more I knew him, I found out that not only he was not only very lazy, but he had only two tricks that kept him here: He had one of the few laptops with the files to program the assembly robots and knows how to speak English well. Addressing both points, he did not know how to program really, just to change some parameters.
Also, we are in Mexico, and there are different levels of English among technicians and engineers, and he obviously had the upper hand on most when speaking English, but he was downright terrible at writing in English and Spanish. Most people struggled with his fluidity of speaking English, even against other Engineers and educated people (he was deported from the US), he used it to intimidate other technicians who weren't fluent in English and behave like their supervisor (spoiler alert: he wasn't). He soon found out however that he couldn't do the same with me because not only I was as fluent as him (if having a more "mexicanized" accent), but also I knew how to write better than him (not joking, he made awful mistakes in any language).
He was manipulative and lazy, but I could not do much about him because I was not his supervisor, even if I was above his rank and in the same department. Also his direct supervisor was not allowed to fire him. There was even a legend about the previous manager firing him before the manager quit, "mysteriously" all the data from the robots disappeared and Z-man had a copy by "coincidence" and was re-hired by the new manager. Even the previous manager told the new one he was making a "big mistake".
Another thing I would like to add is that I'm not making justice on how much of a douche he was, he would call other departments to fix problems that were our own department issues, making enemies with these people.
Anyway, two years after dealing with this asshole, but not directly, his direct supervisor quit to move to another company, and by the same time he left, I put my two weeks notice for a better paying job. My direct manager said "hey WorldBlackened, could you please be the supervisor of both teams for the next two weeks?" I said "sure" and hauled ass. While my department was well behaved and needed little to no supervision (no joke, there would be times they even would pressure me because I taught them most technical stuff to make them independent), the department Z-man was in was in complete anarchy, but ironically with Z-man at the top, sending "weaklings" to do his job. I even told him he should leave the lab if he wasn't writing a report, complaining while complying (he spent too much time in there watching youtube and delegating his own tasks).
Weirdly enough, my boss was tired of him and told Z-man to get a job in two weeks. he panicked and went to the department he made enemies with to plead them to hire him, they told him to do a test and submit the CV. This is where we found out how much of a fraud he was: He made a CV with not only tons of grammar mistakes, but also he claimed he graduated from the University of Florida as an engineer, a HUGE lie that was easily testable. Also the test was leaked and in very simple engineering questions that probably middle schoolers could solve half of it, he failed with a 0.3%, not a 30%, A 0.3%!!!
The "enemy" department still told our own "yeah, we're going to hire him... don't worry about it". Little did we know it was a set up for Z-man. They exploited him to do any and every job, ironically even some that were related to our own department! He was exhausted, this was their way to exploit him to force him to quit.
Now this is a part where I cannot prove anything, but the situation was pretty obvious: One of our machines stopped working, I was the only on-site engineer left at this point and the technicians were struggling to make it work. Since most of their experience was with mechanical issues they were limited on what they could do. We saw from a window Z-man laughing at the technicians not being able to make the machine work. Desperate, the technicians asked for my help.
Little did they know, I was a mechatronics engineer, meaning I had some electronics background so I ask them to ask the electric engineering department for a multimeter for basic checks since they tested all of the mechanical issues and most of the electronics were not only sealed, but also the machine was not the property of the company, so only basic repairs and diagnostics could be done. That's where I found out a presence inductive sensor was not "working", I will not go into a lot of detail, but these are very basic with most of the signal handled by a basic bipolar junction transistor, of which there are two types: NPN and PNP. Today I cannot remember which type was which in this case, but for the sake of the story let's say the non-working machine had a PNP sensor, I asked them to check another machine that was working to see what label the sensor had and sure enough, it was a NPN sensor. We swapped it and it worked perfectly, just as we were testing it, Z-man walk by the window to see the machine working, his face was of panic and sadness. That's when I knew that's was his last ditch effort to return to the department where he reigned with fear ended. It seems that he was going to extort the department into rehire him once again by sabotaging the machine. Just in case, I did a crash course training for the technicians to do basic electronic diagnostics so they could handle the situation better.
That friday was my last day, two weeks after, I was contacted by a technician that I still am friends with after so many years:"hey! dude!!! Z-man resigned! He couldn't handle any more!""What? Did he had something wrong with him?!""Nah! he just found out what working really meant."
I can't feel pity for him. He tried to make a living hell of his colleagues and my technicians. I did my best not only to protect them but to make a stand against him and I would like to believe it worked.
It has been one of the highlights of my professional life, even if I cannot add it to my CV.

Nova Scotia:

Gender
Tidak bisa dielakkan, gender berkaitan dengan pekerjaan, and vice versa pekerjaan membutuhkan gender tertentu, laki-laki atau perempuan.
Menjadi seorang yang pernah berkecimpung dibidang teknik dan merupakan lulusan pertanian setidaknya memberikan gambaran tersendiri didalam memandang problematika gender. Jika dikatakan sekarang adalah jaman emansipasi, yes that`s right, sekarang jaman emansipasi, wanita berhak memilih, berhak memutuskan masa depannya, berhak atas pendidikan yang ditempuhnya, dan juga berhak untuk memilih pekerjaannya.
Tetapi yang perlu diingat, tidak semuanya bisa generalisasi seperti itu.
Ketika praktikum misalnya, banyak dari perempuan yang lebih suka hanya manabur benih, sedang yang mencangkul dan mengolah lahan adalah laki-laki (meskipun pada dasarnya every single person bisa melakukan itu tidak terbatas gender, hanya masalah mau atau tidak), atau ketika harus mensolder kaki-kaki komponen, solder dan timah panas yang lebih banyak dihindari oleh perempuan ketimbang menghitung hambatan resistor atau memilih dioda PNP atau memilih warna-warna lucu LED.
Buktinya dalam hal pekerjaan. Aku sangat memahami bagaimana rasanya menjadi seorang idealis dengan keinginan yang seperti ini dan harus seperti ini. Ingin menjadi assisten afdeling, tetapi ternyata yang dibutuhkan laki-laki. Ingin menjadi Estate Manager, yang dibutuhkan juga laki-laki, Asissten Agronomy, pun laki-laki. Bidang teknik mungkin pertroleum engineer, geologist, technician, forklift mechanic, yang dibutuhkan laki-laki. Bahkan masalah warehouse yang dibutuhkan laki-laki meskipun ketelitian perempuan banyak dinilai lebih oke dibandingkan laki-laki.
Jika engkau perempuan, dan mempertanyakan kenapa kok laki-laki, gue kan perempuan, gue juga bisa kok, jangan meragukan perempuan gitu deh! aku-pun juga pernah berpikiran seperti itu, namun dengan banyaknya pertanyaan diotak tentang hal-hal demikian, lalu hati berbicara bahwasannya pekerjaan memiliki risikonya masing-masing, I know every job have their own risk, tapi percayalah ada beban yang memang sekiranya wanita tidak bisa menanggungnya, site yang jauh minta ampun jauh dari pemukiman dan sedikit kendaraan, atau high pressure ketika di lapang, bentakan dari koordinator lapang, high energy yang dibutuhkan, ada masalah-masalah yang mungkin perempuan tidak bisa menerimanya dengan hanya sekedar angin lalu, pasti ada saja segelintir yang masuk ke otak lalu turun ke hati dan menjadi air mata. Begitulah gender bekerja, semua sudah ada porsinya masing-masing aku yakini itu. Karena perempuan selain bekerja dengan pengetahuan di otaknya, juga feeling dan intuisi di hatinya.
Selamat menerima, idealisme tidak pernah menjadi suatu permasalahan, tapi sepandai apa kamu bernegosiasi antara idealisme-mu dan ego-mu:)

SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte, Feb. 26 -- Eighteen project engineers and in-charge of the constructions companies and several personnel of the local government units (LGUs) within the area of responsibility of the 30th Infantry (Fight On) Battalion (30IB), Philippine Army attended the first Contractors and Business Establishments Security Forum held at the 30IB headquarters in Brgy. Mahanub, Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte on Feb. 19.
The forum, organized by the Army’s 30IB under the supervision of the 901st Infantry Brigade, in partnership with several local government units (LGUs) in the province of Surigao del Norte, was aimed at enhancing the coordinative mechanism among economic stakeholders, LGUs, and the security sectors by emphasizing “shared security responsibility” concept.
This is to ensure that implementation of all government projects and economic activities are unhampered and uninterrupted as an offshoot to the communist terrorists' threats and intimidation usually resulting to sabotage and destruction of company properties particularly those in the remote areas. 
Salient points of the Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CARHRIHL) was presented to the participants in order to raise awareness on their rights and protection as non-combatants against all attacks and human rights abuses where most of them already suffered the cruelty and abuses from these communist terrorists.
The CARHRIHL was an agreement between the Government of the Philippines and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (Communist Party of the Philippines, New People’s Army CPP-NPA-NDF) to ensure the protection of civilians against all forms of human rights abuse.
An information briefing on the concept of shared security responsibility was also presented by Lt. Col. Ryan Charles G. Callanta, commanding officer of the 30IB, to the concerned stakeholders (construction companies, communities, LGUs, Integrated Territorial Defense System (ITDS), and security sectors in which each component has separate but equally important roles and responsibilities to ensure that peace and security are maintained and implementation of government projects within the area will be attained.
In his message, BGen. George L. Banzon, commander of the 901st Infantry Brigade, assured the attendees that securing and protecting the entire province’s economic activities are among the topmost priorities of the entire 901st Infantry Brigade together with its two infantry battalions and the PNP. 
“Extortion is a lifeblood of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG). If we work together and stop the extortion scheme of the communist terrorists in Surigao del Norte, it will be a significant blow to its weakening posture. I, therefore, encouraged all of us to work together and do our respective part in this specific endeavor. If we can do this, then we can expect that peace, progress, and development will take its full throttle in this part of the country.
