One thing I love in Pokemon is when we have villains that pretty much render the protagonists almost or completely helpless. Generally, it's pretty easy for the player to just walk in and launch an attack on the villain base/Legendary, and save the day, but a few instances from the games stick out to me.

The Paradise Protection Protocol never accounted for us having Koraidon/Miraidon and the characters play up the helplessness of the situation for a couple moments until we're prompted to select it, but if it had been someone else without the Professor's Raidon bringing the Professor's book down there, they would have been torn apart. 😣 And while it's brief, there was absolutely nothing the player could have done to stop Cyrus in Platinum, we needed that divine intervention from Giratina. He had pretty much won.

And even in previous anime arcs where the villains captured Ash and friends or made things hard for our heroes, I don't think they were ever really that defeated, like there was still that determination that they could do something. (Or they weren't captured long enough for that despair to really set it.) But here? It really does feel like more of a total loss, especially with the timeskip.

Spinel manipulating the media makes it harder for our heroes to retaliate against him with how he's flipped the narrative by claiming the RVT were actually the villains (plus, as a company head, he probably has a lot more resources at his disposal now), the kids have all split up and everybody's demoralized after the loss of Friede that Spinel indirectly caused, like this is the absolute lowest point for them.

Pokemon headcanon (not full teams, just one for now):

Damian: Bisharp "The Sword Blade Pokemon" Dark/Steel type

A warrior sword Pokemon? Practically made for him.

Tim: Oranguru "The Sage Pokemon" Normal/Psychic

Now hear me out - part normal type because Tim wasn't chosen or born for the role, he chose it for himself. The dex entry mentions it uses human tools. And it's possible abilities are Inner Focus (prevents flinching), telepathy (anticipate opponents moves), and symbiosis (pass it's held item to an ally).

Dick: Blacephalon (yeah, technically an Ultra Beast, but whatever) "The Fireworks Pokemon".

I fully admit it's because it's basically a clown pokemon and Dick is from the circus. The other option is Copperajah, because of Zitka.

Jason: Alolan Marowak "The Bone Keeper Pokemon" Fire/Ghost type.

It evolves from Cubone, who's sad because it's parents are dead. And then the typing fits - fire because he got blown up, and ghost because he was dead.

Bruce: Absol "The Disaster Pokemon" pure Dark type.

Everyone thinks Absol is evil and brings disaster, but it actually tries to warn people of danger. A 'Dark Protector' type of creature 😘

Cass: Meloetta Pirouette Forme "The Melody Pokemon" Normal/Fighting type.

It's a fighting type that also dances, and Cass likes ballet 🩰. Plus, it's base form it's normal/psychic, which ties into her ability to read people's body language

Duke: Miraidon "The Paradox Pokemon" Electric/Dragon type

Duke is awesome, so obviously he gets the only legendary 🥰. It's electric, which is the closest to a 'light' type and he had light powers, and dragon type because that seems a good fit for the only meta hero in Gotham.

Drayton coming up with a plan to force Keiran to take a nap.

His idea? League Club Sleepover!

He tries to organise a Sleepover in the League Club room, there are voices of opposition (Lacey mainly, "boys and girls sleeping in the same room?? Its just not right!") But manages to get permission from Director Cyrano by being like "Oh but think of the team building, the bonding, the teachers can chaperone"

He successfully gets it approved and gets a sign-up sheet on the go. Juliana joins because he told her the plan, plus she's had sleepovers with Penny & Team Star, Arven and Nemona so this isn't really anything new and Miraidon will stop any funny business by just being overly present in everyone's space.

Carmine joins because she can't leave Juliana with Drayton!, Amarys joins because Carmine joins, Lacey joins because the other girls are going, Crispin was in from the beginning and was already coming up with spicy snacks to make.

Then the hard pard, dragging Keiran in. He Does Not Sleep and Does Not WANT To Sleep and "I Do Not Care For Your Bonding Bullshit Drayton"

Drayton successfully manipulates him in by using one pretty exchange student as a reason form him to "at the very least show face, even if you don't stay"

The BB League are all getting comfy and the girls are cooing over each others cute pj's and it doesn't look like he's going to show but then the door opens and he's there, not looking happy and is scanning the room to see who he needs to make work harder and he spots Julinana sat there in pink ribombee pj's with his furret cuddled in on her lap and- (he is not jealous of a pokemon he is NOT)- but the damage is done, he let his guard down and Drayton has grabbed him and manhandled him into the room talking about how great it is that he decided to join them and he's about to argue but suddenly he's very tired.

The others had all been handed ear plugs, they didn't know why until they see a swablu using sing by the door and their Champion going down like a sack of potatoes.

Drayton catches him before he hits the floor and then both he and Juliana are in motion getting him tucked into one of the futons sprawled over the floor. His furret is delighted and immediately goes to cuddle up with him.

There is some outcry from the others when they realise that this whole thing has been an incredibly intricate set up but they can't deny Keiran needs the sleep. Even if they are all acutely aware he's going to be a ✨️nightmare✨️when he wakes up.

Juliana bear hugs him when he wakes up and suddenly he's just paralyzed LOL

(I thoroughly enjoyed this read and it's so beyond cute)

Hello everyone!! Today (for me) is January 11th, 2025!! It's my eighteenth birthday!!

It's also my oc's, Lumi's, birthday!!

Lumi has been my s/i since early 2022, as they were originally a Danganronpa s/i. That may not be too long of a time for most people, but to me that feels like a lifetime. They've been through A LOT of phases. Fun fact: their name used to be Echo. I changed their name because at the start of my Pokemon SV phase because I got the idea to make a Miraidon oc, since I kin Miraidon. I used the name Echo for an rp as my Miraidon oc until i figured out a different one, but the name stuck onto them. So, I renamed my s/i to Lumi (coming from the Italian word "luminoso/a," which means "bright!"). From there, they were just this silly guy that I shipped with Penny. They touched the NSO universe for a brief second as well, more about that later. Eventually, we get to my PJSK phase, where I create my first Lumi counterpart with slightly fledged-out lore. I did something I never thought of doing with them before, which was giving them lore that didn't connect much to my actual self. Their PJSK counterpart made Lumi more of their own person, compared to their past counterparts who barely had lore because I didn't want them to stray away from me too much. The same thing ended up happening when I put them into Mouthwashing, I gave that counterpart their own lore as well, the only thing really similar to myself being their very different appearance from their other counterparts. I liked having freedom when I made these two counterparts of Lumi.

Here's where I start the rambles that lead up to my announcement FJSKSLA

So, there was an issue with the NSO counterpart once I started begging the question "how old even is Lumi?" Because the thing is, their NSO counterpart never actually became a thing. I had plans to do so, and the furthest I got was making them a streamer persona. I quickly realized an issue. I didn't want to age Lumi up. Obviously, I was not going to ship an adult (Ame) with a minor (Lumi). The streamer persona was already a confirmed adult, but I didn't have the heart to connect them to Lumi because of the fact that I didn't want to age Lumi up nor ship them with an adult. So I never got to go too far with that idea.

The idea of making Lumi an adult has never sat right with me once I started thinking about it. Originally, their age was supposed to line up to mine, but it was hard to keep track of that, so basically I just made their age 15-17. Plus, I was still uncomfortable with the idea of aging them up. With that freedom I felt when giving them their own lore, I realized something I wanted to do, something I'm going to announce right now...

I didn't want to have Lumi be my self insert anymore.

Obviously, I didn't want to get rid of them as an oc, but I didn't want them to be me anymore.

I wanted to make them their own person, and then make someone brand new to be me. However, the person I tried to make as the new, adult "me," I didn't really like. They didn't feel like me.

So I'm currently figuring out a new s/i, which I haven't really had many ideas for that. Eventually, they'll be here. But for now, the only thing I can say is certain is that as of today, Lumi Hinomori is now their own person. They're no longer my self-insert. They're their own person. I will still self-project onto them, as I do all of my ocs, but not to the point where they're loreless.

Whoever actually took the time to read this, thank you. Thank you for being here on this journey, whether this is the first time you've heard my oc's name or you're somehow one of the 3 people that knew them when they were still named Echo. It makes me happy seeing people interested in my blorbos, and I hope I can make more that I'm confident in one day!

One of the reasons I LOVED Pecharunt, is solely because of the Loyal 3 existing. Considering its chains could change pokemon to their desires, imagine the endless possibilities for Fakemon artists. Plu, since pokemon have their own respective desires, you could make 2 complately different Toxic Chained (That's what I'm calling the subspecies) but both are originally the same species.

That was how I got the idea for TC's Kieran's Toxic Chained team

I've seen people argue about this to no end so I wanna know your two cents. Do you think the Paradox Beasts and Paradox Swords should count as legendaries like how the Raidons are technically Paradox Cyclizar but still legendaries?

The fact that Koraidon and Miraidon are considered legendaries when Cyclizar isn't kind of proves that there's no correlation between the paradox forms and their original titles. Plus statistically, a lot of the Paradox Beasts/Swords have only ~20 point higher base stats than other paradox 'mons, compared to Koraidon/Miraidon who are ~100 points higher.

My Bread Professor Turo was burnt Hyper Beamed to a crisp

I didn’t know exactly how to draw the alpha Miraidon do the Bread Dance (plus Idk how to draw Pokémon that well much less animate) so I just drew @soulstickerr’s (absolutely stunning) designs of them. (At least I’m pretty sure that design is the Alpha one??? Idk???)

I was too lazy to draw the human Turo dead so I just scribbled some ourple and red and slapped Mosaic blur on it.
