At which "level" of plothole ML is?
Okay so some people would WANT me to put it at like 6, or 7. Few might even claim 8.
Others would say it’s more like a 2 or 3.
I think ML is a 4. A pitfall. Some things are pulled out of left field and are clearly thought just for an episode. Maybe a 5, a sinkhole at worst.
But the thing is, it’s not as deep as people think.
I will say people’s issues are less from plotholes and more from disagreeing with writer choices. (And I still am to this day the number 1 hater of season 5’s ending) but outside of that season 6 has been decent (the salt has been insane though)
But it’s pretty standard Plothole level for magical girl show.

Help! What to do if you notice a plothole but you've written like eighteen chapters already and posted them online? And only now it becomes visible?
Or maybe, even easier (because that first one will depend a lot I guess); how do I fix a plothole staring me in the eyes? How does one fix a plothole when you're like very deep in?
I don't know if you have any tips but I'm in the gutter. I've lost all motivation to finish my project.
Here's a previous post Writing Notes: Plot Holes
It does depend a lot on the type of plot hole, the writers' goal, writing style etc. You can read more about some types of plot holes in that post, identify which one/s are in your story, and go through the suggested tips on how to fix them. All considering your specific story, your own style as a writer etc. At the end of that post, there are more links to older posts that include checklists that might help you with plot issues. Try some of those writing tips and hopefully, you'd find the motivation to finish your project.
You can always update your story even after you've posted it, adding a footnote for your readers. Perhaps create a second draft if you want to "start from scratch", but this time, with the knowledge of correcting/avoiding the plothole (it's definitely more work when you're already 18 chapters in, but something to consider if you prefer starting with a clean slate).

I wanted to debunked this before i left because it is the "big" plothole reviewers of this show criticized while, if you think a little and watch more than one time the episodes can understand:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vaggie was an Exorcist who thought that only Exorcist Angels can kill each other (Lute almost killed her with bare hands) so she couldn't know about a second way to kill angels (the angelic weapons). Then since she is weaker, Adam, Lute and the other angels are stronger than her, she considered this first option (Exorcists can kill other ones) useless to mention and not useful anymore. Carmilla and Vaggie are talking about a way to harm in a deadly way the Exorcists, not just harmed them. Then the show has other episodes where they can explain this so how ppl can call it a plothole when the story isn't finished? Idk.
EDIT: Another thing that i noticed is that Carmine called Vaggie not very smart so that's why she didn't get it quickly (it has sense, Exorcists are more focused on physical combat rather than using the brain). Another option is that Vaggie will have thought that Adam and Lute being the leader and vice leader are stronger and therefore are able to hurt the other Angels but excluding them they cannot be hurt. So Vaggie says "no" because excluding her commanders there were actually no ways to hurt the exorcists for what they need: what's the point of knowing that the Exorcists can only be hurt by the two Leaders? Vaggie and the rest of the squad at that moment needs a solution that applies to all of them against the Exorcists, but saying that only Adam and Lute can do it doesn't count so she says "no" for that.
Furthermore she has never tried to verify if the Exorcists could even be hurt while Carmilla has, calculating that she realizes that the angelic weapons are effective because they had already tried to hurt them in some way, failing because they did not kill them in a mortal way.
PS: Maybe i am wrong but i find odd that the show is careful about details both graphics and narratively and then fails right here. Then there are various clues that confirm what i said while in other medias when i saw a plothole i didn't find any explanations

Back on my bullshit.
I've got a lot of questions, on how the TBBshow works exactly?
Cos yeah, its been clear for a long time, it doesn't want you asking questions because it will just, fall apart at the seams and go from Frankestein's monster to Frankenstein's ground floor beef.
Like, basic shit. Here's the Plot breaking questions:
HOW DID THEY RECRUIT STORMTROOPERS SO FAST? If they could just, recruit people out of the blue like that, like, Immediately Post-War side, not even 24 hours after the destruction of the Jedi Temple. Where the did they come from? And if they could just, come in like that, why weren't there any natborn armies during the Clone Wars itself? Recruitment takes a long time. Boot camps, at minimum, take 3 months real world. So, Plot Hole 1: Spawning Stormtroopers with Cheat Codes.
WHY DIDN'T THE CLONE ARMY REBEL? If the argument is, that the chip just Wears off, and we know that our troops can and will just rebel against bad officers (We've seen it happen), and that they all do have a pretty strong moral backbone in general... ... How come when this, so called "Wear off" occurred, we didn't see a rebellion enmass? Especially after Kamino's destruction? Still can't recruit and train people that fast, and there's still an entire clone army, and its pretty clear that the show claims there are lots of clones in the ranks and hiearchy... Clearly, it must not just "Wear Off". Plot Hole 2: Attempting to claim that established Sci-Fi Brain Tumors isn't Sci-Fi Cancerous.
WHY IS EVERYTHING EVERWHERE ELSE? Where is Cody? What's going on with Rex and his Rebellion? Why did Echo join that exactly, and how come the Batch couldn't be convinced? Why the fuck is Ventress even There. The story (and its writers) keep wanting to push that "Everything is going to occur at a later time". Well, mothers and fuckers of the audience, if Star Wars were to end tomorrow, like full on Vault Sealed Forever, or nobody has access to these "other stories" either by money or medium--then no, the Story didn't happen somewhere else--it simply Didn't Happen at all. Thus, teasing stories that simply Aren't, and refusing to fill in the story that Is. Plot Hole 3: The Excitement is Farther than the Galaxy Far Far Away
PABU The Empire knows about Pabu, it bombed it for the sake of the Force. You tellin' me that, after Tantis was done, Pabu just magically regerated with anti-Evil Empire shields? And that it wasn't immediately placed under Imperial control like EVERY PLANET TBB HAS ESTABLISHED SO FAR!? Plot Hole 4: You don't need to see their identification, this is not the planet you are looking for.
EMERIE KARR I like her concept, so I'm gonna be picking on her execution. So female clone that is effectively a narrative clone of Omega, except if Emerie existed at the same time as the Bad Batch (likely as its hinted 5th member) and the Clone Wars, as we're supposedly meant to believe that Omega did--how come Omega didn't know about her before. Where the fuck was she. Why would Hemlock be finding a random clone in nowhere space and decide that she was sexy enough to be the sexy lady evil scientist? Her concept is great, but current execution breaks the timeline. Plot Hole 5: Omega split into Omega 2 by Mitosis
HOW ARE THEY BROTHERS EXACTLY? How are our Main Characters brothers? I don't mean in the literal sense, I mean in the sense of "These guys are brothers in arms thick and thin, been through so much shit and came together in support in the face of adversity" And yet, the only thing we see is, bickering, no conversations, refusal to confront topics that directly affect them with each other, obsessing about anything else but actually talking to each other, abandoning each other at a moment's notice for one bullshit thing after another without discussion. Utterly ignoring each other when lives are on the line... Leaving one for Dead... Claiming that they're trying to protect their child sister in order to give her a place to grow up, but insist on bringing her on every dangerous mission ever, treating her as a child soldier... ... When they could've just robbed the stupid lizard bitch and been on that isolated planet they were talking about in Episode 2 before the end of Season 1. After a certain point, I think I should be calling The Galactic Child Protective Services Plot Hole 6: With Brothers like these, who needs enemies?
KILLING A MAIN CHARACTER (Aka "oh my gods they killed Kenny") In congruent to the above Plot Hole. They killed Tech, where's the fallout? Where's the effect? Are you telling me that Mayday, a random one episode clone, was more narratively important than Tech, who's been with us for years? And that's just the written death. The narrative deaths have occurred to all the Bad Batch. this bad ass squad who works together like instinct, is suddenly failing at everything, like its their first day off Kamino. Even though, by the show's own visual environmental storytelling, the Batch have been performing missions together since the first battle of Geonosis. They're more experienced than the Republic Commandos by those tally mark counts in their room wall. And yet, inspite of the visual story telling and the Clone Wars, and every piece of Clone Media prior to this Ever, they're suddenly the big bumbling buffkins who can't operate without running headfirst into the nearest beehive. Character deaths themselves occured... ... From Hunter being a generally snarky, one of the guys, who puts on a show of leadership for the Reg's sake--because a shallowed out parody of Optimus Prime and Captain Rex. ... To Crosshair, a snippy, keen if cruel sniper but with a heart of empathy, reduced to a hyper soldier even without the tumor. When this is the kind of man who would pick a fight with god on toothpick power alone. ... To Wrecker, whom for some reason, suddenly lacks skills he had in the Clone Wars. ... To Tech, who no longer gives out fun facts, or even has an emotional reaction to people getting hurt, like he used to in his first introductory episodes. (Remember the horror he had when he realized the Algorithm had a Human voice?) ... To Echo, once bold and audactious, guised beyind a clone who is a seeming rule stickler--now a bitchy side piece who eventually just leaves instead of having a conversation with the very team that took him in, who reduced his once partner-batchmte Fives to a foot note. One story written death, Five Narrative Deaths, Five Character Deaths, because what was had in the Clone Wars--of which the TBBshow explicitly says its a direct sequel to--clearly wasn't here when this started. Whoever these guys are, they aren't the Bad Batch. Plot Hole 7: Fell at Sunrise and Was replaced by Mirrors
PLOT HOLE: the Rush A special mention plot hole that occurs when you place too much action in too short of time with too little thought. Effectively attempting to turn a TV show, subscription serivce or not, into a 25 minute long tiktok-vine-ytshort. Its exhausting, its Patience killing, it has no Pace; and to believe that this is a good thing, means that you are Also affected by the Rush and should probably pick up a real book or maybe play Pokemon Generation 1 or pick up a text adventure, because you are going too fast for your brain to handle it and it is not good for you. Its commercialism techniques. Don't make them the new norm.

If I've missed any plot holes, lemme know, I'll take a look. Even with my SPECIAL EYES (MY BRAND!) I can't spot everything.

The Plotholes of the Elven Lore
As a fanfic writer in the Fallout and Dragon Age fandoms, I've been balls-deep in the Veilguard game and all the Elven lore I can find. I planned on writing an origin story of the Evanuris two years ago and held off until the next game came out (and I'm glad I did). BUT. There's a two things so far that are making me question a lot about the Elven history.
Firstly, in Bellara's personal quests, her brother somehow got in touch with a Forgotten One called Anaris. Anaris brainwashed her brother with a magical mask in order to help him create a physical body somehow by killing innocents that he promised "ascension." My question is: how in the world did he come in contact with Anaris if he was in the Void? And what the heck is the Void? All I know is it's not the Fade, and even the Evanuris would be driven mad if they spent too long there. Mortals couldn't survive there.
Secondly, what happened to the other gods? Solas mentioned a few others in Veilguard when speaking to Elgar'nan, saying how they once created wonderful things for this world and "now they're gone." What happened to them? Did the remaining two gods kill ALL of the other Evanuris? I thought Solas locked all of them away, but only two escaped in Veilguard. Where's June? Sylaise? And all the others?
I suppose a lot of this I'll have to explain with context clues and theories. I've scoured the codex entries and the Wiki for more information and have taken notes, but I could have missed something. If anyone has any hidden gems I could have missed, I'd appreciate a link. ♥

Tinker Bell Theories #2
Okay, time for another hour-long lunatic's ramble, but just hear me out.
Go back to Secret of the Wings. You there? Perfect. After Tink attempts to cross the border and her wings sparkle and shimmer and all that jazz and after she goes to the healing-talents to make sure that, you know, nothing is broken or anything, the scene cuts immediately to her attempting to design gadgets to get her into the winter woods. Please keep in mind at this point, that all of Tink's friends know about the "sparkling" ...all of the girls know about the sparkling, because they were there at the healing-talent wing with her.
BUT when Tink gets back from Winter and goes directly to Clank and Bobble for help, the first thing Clank says (after, you know, the whole troll thing...really bad cover you guys) is, "does this have to do with the sparkling?"
HOW DID THEY KNOW?
Tink didn't tell them! The girls didn't tell them! And yet, somehow, they just magically know.
I smell a red herring.
And plot holes.
*looks at my multiple fanfictions* I like plot holes.

am i the only one that feels like they dropped some plotlines? specifically Roman's. The pill popping, contacting Kerry and promising her he'd get that document, him and Kendall disagreeing on the "shit on dad" tactic and Kendall doing it behind his back etc. I wanna know why they put those little things in there if they were never going to be adressed

Is there any show you've watched at level 8 Blackhole ? And if not which would you say is the show on the highest level of plot hole ?
You know. I originally said I didn’t.
But I actually started really thinking about it. And there might be one that’s a level 7.
And that’s Hazbin hotel
But it’s weird because even with all those plotholes it has a very strong fanbase. But there is a lot to figure there.

It's been an AGE...But I am plotting my return. ***RE-WRITING** Fixing Plot Holes, Adjusting Characters, TWEAKING storylines.
Tumblr media
You know...the only thing that is stopping me full stop from writing is the fact, TOM (aka VOLDEMORT) as JK wrote him, is irredeemable. FLAT. ONE TRACK MINDED. But when he was a boy, he was INTELLIGENT BEYOND MEASURE. WHAT HAPPENED? Tearing his soul destroyed his intelligence? You know what. IN THIS FIC. Dumbledore KNOWS Tom made at LEAST 2 HORCUX. Let's say HE STOPPED at 3. It's a Significant Number. **HARRY DESTROYED THE DAIRY** **DUMBLEDORE DESTROYED THE RING*** He SET SNAPE UP TO KILL HIM. BUT, HE HAS HIS OWN HORCRUX! Unfortunately for TOM tho, he accidentally made HARRY into one. SO he has 4. If Harry has a bigger SOUL piece inside him than he did in the original books. Because he was the accidental one. What would that change for him? ***ALOT*** I'm 100% certain. So if this is the case. I need to start rewriting with these things in mind. ANYONE else want to chime in?
Tumblr media
Charles & Erik would like to REMIND you, that YOU dragged X-Men First Class TIMELINE to Hermione's TIMELINE. What AGE DID THEY FIRST MEET?
Tumblr media
**GOES BACK TO READ THE FICTION** apparently I wasn't direct with the age, just "pre-schooler". YET Hermione skipped grades. **HUMS TO MYSELF** BAM...Pre-schooler = 6 Years old apparently. Learn this at MACUSA.
I swear this is still my favorite part: Hermione Presenting to Board of Magical Creatures @ MACUSA
Tumblr media
"I'm here today to request permission to perform magic in front of mutants. These people are magical, just like us and they are in need of the Statue of Secrecy's protection. Currently, the Mug–I mean, No-Maj United States Congress is attempting to force them to register themselves so they can be tracked and that will lead to persecution, which will lead to Mutant Hunts. We cannot allow this to continue. The mutant's world bleeds into ours, as they have mistaken our kind for theirs before. I was once mistaken for a mutant when I was a child, Professor Xavier came to recruit me for his school of the gifted youngsters when I was 6 years old, but when he discovered I didn't carry the mutant gene he rejected my admittance. Who's to say more no-maj borns won't be mistaken for mutants, when your magical school's do not present themselves as soon as the child manifests their magical abilities? Who's to say the Mutant Registration Act won't lead to a detrimental breach in the Statute of Secrecy that will lead to an all out war between the No-majs and Magical people?" ~ No One has a Mind Quite Like yours, Chapter 3. [AO3 LINK]
Tumblr media
There is alot I like about my WIP, but there is many fixes I need to make. So that I can continue. I think I finally am getting to a place where I can start re-writing again. FINALLY.
Tumblr media
I am not totally going back to the drawing board. HOWVER, I do think majority of what I have written, is going to be redone, minus a few things I ABSOLUTELY loved about the original WIP.
Tumblr media
Now Let's hope with some Liquid Luck, I go back into a pattern of writing, so I can finish my original works as well.

The more I watch Tate no Yuusha, the more it's obvious that the only character to which the rule of "growing with levels" actually applies is Raphtalia and Raphtalia only. Atla, Fohl, Kiel and so many other demi-humans already reached high levels by the season 3 and still look like little kids, even though by lvl 18 Raphtalia looked like a teen (episode 3 of the first season), and even older when she was lvl 24 (episode 4 of the first season). Atla is level 25 while Fohl is level 47 in episode 12 of season 3, yet they both look like kids. I don't remember Kiel's level, but it's definitely high, considering she was participating in the class-up ceremony at the Dragon Hourglass. I heard that the novel had some retcon to how demi-humans age and that anime took that retcon into account, but it's still pretty inconsistent and vague how it works. Even with further explanations in the replies to the link I gave, it's not really something that feels like it was thought out by the author well enough, because if there truly are different rates of growth per animal species, they should have been listed out by the author of the novel themselves with level thresholds, blessings and curses that can affect the rate etc.
