Can you believe it's been 2 years since I started working on my HP/X-Men crossover. What happened during those last two years that I just fell off the planet? Hahaha. I am hoping to get back into the trenches soon.

A drastic re-write, with some of the elements from the old fic within the new one. Just trying to map my mind around it. Promise.

You will see Xavier & Magneto meet Hermione for the first time in the new fic. You will also encounter some really cool "mutant"/"magical world" crossover stuff. DRAMATIC CHANGES to how the world functions, etc. etc...

Where this Tom Riddle, will be more involved. Because He doesn't make 7 Horcruxes. He made 2 and accidental 3rd (Harry).

And this Dumbledore will return. Because he MADE one horcrux. WHAT?!

Mad Eye of course was tasked to bring Dumbledore back to life, I wonder if they will use the same method Voldemort did in the graveyard. Who would play the part of "Blood of my enemy?"

Only one I could think of, is in nurmengard & if Voldemort is on the trail for the Elder Wand, Mad Eye better get to him first.

Now if Harry has a bigger piece of Voldemort inside him, what does that mean for his story? How much will it change? **He still asks the hat not to put him in Slytherin** He becomes friends with Hermione First, and then Ron. He is more studious, but nothing compared to Hermione. He doesn't fight Hermione as much as Ron would like him to. Sometimes he wonders why he's friends with Ron, but the voice in the back of his head keeps telling him Ron's uselful.

What else should change majorly? Since he has more of Voldemort's soul inside him, his personality seems to bleed through into his own. He doesn't really see a difference between them. (the little voice in the back of his mind has always been there guiding him to his own path & since it's a horcrux, he wants everything in it's power to be the last survivor).

The world will change sooooo much. That I must find a way to root the new "timeline" without having to retell everything. Any Ideas? Feel free to drop a line. Or look at previous posts to see how much i been tossing my brains at the walls of tumblr.

I decided that I am going to do a revamp, and instead of writing as I go, Im going to finish it. then publish a chapter a week. LOL after its finished. so those whiney babies don't stop my momentum.

HOUSE OF GRANGER (ANONYMOUS) REVIEW RESPONSE HOG: It's not the age gap so much as the power imbalance that stops me from reading older man/younger woman stories. It's the fondness in his voice as he remembers her as a child, the fact that he also calls her lil miss, and looks forward to shaping her into 'something greater'. You can tell your reader to picture whichever version makes sense, but it'd still e against the picture you're already presenting in your work. You've included a well-known scene from the films; would you really expect someone to superimpose a younger actor during that discussion?

AUTHOR: To be clear, Magneto did not give Hermione Granger the title, "Lil' Miss" that is what Charles Xavier calls her, due to his relationship with her Grandfather, a known Mutant.

Magneto just simply changed the REASON why he calls her "Lil Miss", it seems to me you are unfamiliar with Daddy Dom/Lil relationships.

Since I am changing the rules of the world entirely, it's going to be a relationship with her UNCLE instead of her Grandfather (WORKING ON RE-VAMP)!

I can use well known scenes from the films, and change who is playing the character. SCRIPTS ARE PLAYS. YOU CAN CHANGE THE ENTIRE CAST. You lack imagination. That really is not my problem.

I however, have loved Magneto since I saw him in the original cartoon in 1997, and re-fell in love when the original X-men film came out in 2000. (I don't have an issue with the age gap, as I would have dated Sir Ian Murray McKellen, too bad he's gay).

It's been an AGE...But I am plotting my return. ***RE-WRITING** Fixing Plot Holes, Adjusting Characters, TWEAKING storylines.

You know...the only thing that is stopping me full stop from writing is the fact, TOM (aka VOLDEMORT) as JK wrote him, is irredeemable. FLAT. ONE TRACK MINDED. But when he was a boy, he was INTELLIGENT BEYOND MEASURE. WHAT HAPPENED? Tearing his soul destroyed his intelligence? You know what. IN THIS FIC. Dumbledore KNOWS Tom made at LEAST 2 HORCUX. Let's say HE STOPPED at 3. It's a Significant Number. **HARRY DESTROYED THE DAIRY** **DUMBLEDORE DESTROYED THE RING*** He SET SNAPE UP TO KILL HIM. BUT, HE HAS HIS OWN HORCRUX! Unfortunately for TOM tho, he accidentally made HARRY into one. SO he has 4. If Harry has a bigger SOUL piece inside him than he did in the original books. Because he was the accidental one. What would that change for him? ***ALOT*** I'm 100% certain. So if this is the case. I need to start rewriting with these things in mind. ANYONE else want to chime in?

Charles & Erik would like to REMIND you, that YOU dragged X-Men First Class TIMELINE to Hermione's TIMELINE. What AGE DID THEY FIRST MEET?

There is alot I like about my WIP, but there is many fixes I need to make. So that I can continue. I think I finally am getting to a place where I can start re-writing again. FINALLY.

I am not totally going back to the drawing board. HOWVER, I do think majority of what I have written, is going to be redone, minus a few things I ABSOLUTELY loved about the original WIP.

Now Let's hope with some Liquid Luck, I go back into a pattern of writing, so I can finish my original works as well.

What if X-men: First Class was a romance novel?

When reading fanfic keep in mind that for professional literature: 

Short story: under 7,500

Novelette: between 7,500 and 17,500

Novella: between 17,500 and 40,000

Novel: over 40,000

Fics over 40k are literally a novel written and shared for free.  If you have written a 40k+ fic, you have literally written a novel.

I’m noticing an increase in new fic writers on AO3 who…uh…mayy not know how to format their fics correctly..so here is a quick and VERY important tip

Using a random fic of mine as example..

The left example: ✅✅✅

The right example: ❌❌❌

Idk how many times I’ve read a good fic summary and been so excited to read before clicking on it and being met with an ugly wall of text. When I see a huge text brick with zero full line breaks my eyes blur and I just siiiigh bc either I click out immediately or I grin and bear it…it’s insufferable!

If a new character speaks, you need a line break. If you notice a paragraph is becoming too large, go ahead and make a line break and/or maybe reconfigure the paragraph to flow better. I’m not a pro writer or even a huge fic writer but…please…ty…

This is sheer word 🤮!!!!!! The words are just not wording! Why is description so hard?! Gawddddd dayummmm!

Working this chapter which is pre-chapter one is a pain in my ass! To top it off I still have to come up with what happened differently during books 1-6 and summarize them as I bumped 1960 to 1985. So the X-men arrived to Harry Potter world, skipping 25 years of their own lifetime. 25 years of memories were crammed in their head that they had not lived and the world doesn’t remember being separated at first.

So what events should change in Harry Potter!

1. Nothing, it’s fine!

2. Nothing it’s fine!

3. Welp, Hermione hits puberty! Mutant powers activate on top of having a Time Turner! Oh shit, what changes? More stress! I’m sure, but nothing major!

4. No changes! Sorry Cedric!!! Sorry Hermione!!! You were so isolated that year!!!

5. no stupid mistake Hermione = no death for Sirius!!!

6. Half blood Prince? Only change: Dumbledore made a Horcrux! Neither Snape nor anyone else has this information.

7. This is where I am…starting this story!

Now…Xmen Changes:

1. The time jump caused the events of First class to be in the past tense. Hellfire club got away, and instead of going separate ways Charles & Erik doubled down and both became professors at Xavier’s school for mutants. First class minus Mystique and Scott’s brother help train up Storm, Scott, Jean, Wolverine, and Sage become the next junior instructors.

2. Younger students come to X Masion as the junior instructors pick up their own smaller sized classes. Mystique returns from reconnaissance of Trask task forces, and reports directly to Magneto.

3. Hellfire Club crops up once again, in the media and Sage is sent to join them to keep tabs on their activities.

4. Mystique is sent to investigate the United States Government as rumor of a bill is in the works to go against all mutants: Mutant Registration Act!

5. Charles and Magneto argue over methods of how to combat the bill. Neither like each others answer and they go seperate ways, Magneto takes half of the upper class man with him and they form the Brotherhood of Mutants and a second school for gifted youngsters ran by Magneto, calling it Lehsherr’s Prep for the Gifted.

6. Magneto’s brotherhood becomes a more of a militant force as he is building up his rank of adults much faster than Xavier due to the age policy in his prep school. He expanded to 3 separate towers in NYC! They even have specific people assigned to recruit new gifted prep students. Magneto sends one of his teams to attack Striker and they steal technology from him that would be used against mutants.

7. Magneto finishes his machine that transforms normal human DNA into mutants. Blah! This is where the story begins!!! 😂

See, I knew I could do it! Just had to tie myself up!!! Hahahaha!

Despite all that…here is how I feel about Pre-chapter one scene I was working on!
