I'm adding my thoughts to this, it's long and messy as I am emotional rn.

TLDR: We need to rally together and vote for Biden to stop project 2025, and the people who will do anything to destroy our rights.

Those opposed to project 2025 need to come together and vote against him.

I hate Biden, I don't want him in office. However he is our only choice. Now more than ever we need to come together and fight against Trump and his cult. I've seen so many people decide to vote for Kennedy because Biden, "Didn't earn their vote." Yet the man who claimed he had a brain eating worm in his head, potentially ate a dog, and is now accused of sexual assault did?

Splitting right now is exactly what project 2025's people want. If we are in shambles arguing amongst ourselves, we can't fight back against our common goal. This isn't all about the president, this is about our future. If we have Biden in again it stone walls their campaign, we have a chance to get into office people who aren't apart of Trump's cult, and can rebuild to get back our rights that we have lost.

Stopping project 2025 is our goal, you just saw that the Supreme Court gave Trump immunity. Imagine what he will do with it once he is back in power again. Please I am begging everyone who can vote to get out there and do so, vote blue to stop Project 2025. If they win, we will see the end to so many things that we take granted for now.

Biden in office can give us four years to rally and fight back. We need our own plan to combat this cult of fascism and hate. By doing this we are playing the long game, just like they do. If we keep looking at the short term goal then we have lost.

We are on the verge of not only losing many rights (I mean look at the rulings that Clarence Thomas wants to CHALLENGE!) but our government as a whole. Yes it is completely fucked up rn, it's messy, and a disaster, but it is still worth saving. If we save it from project 2025 we can begin to rebuild it, to make it better than it was before. Please I understand the hate of having to vote for Biden, the despair, and hopelessness of this upcoming election. But we need to do something, we can't just sit here and let everything be taken from us. Not voting is a vote for Trump, and for Project 2025.

Our future, and the future of the generations to come all depend on our actions that we do today. Please do not fail them, and fail ourselves by doing nothing.

“They finally made this theme more blatant-" Why does it need to be blatant. What's wrong with subtlety? Concepts can be underused but subtlety is not neglect.

Blaring all your concepts and themes is not good writing. It's so disruptive to a story's flow when the characters look off the screen to be like "See? This is the concept. The idea. The theme."

If you can feel the hand of the author becoming too heavy that's bad.

For example: I see people saying Azula's abuse in ATLA is more blatant in the live action and it's good because "it's being discussed more". It already was discussed at length. The show made it clear she was a victim at every turn, every behavior, every reaction, it came from a place of trauma. It was made clear that she was scared of ending up like Zuko because Zuko was an example of what would happen to her if she failed. When she says she's better than Zuko it wasn't just because she was raised to think hersef superior to him but because Zuko failed and failures get mutilated and exiled, failures are abandoned. In that final Agni Kai the music is morose and somber because this isnt some epic battle its a fucking tragedy, the burning out of "Ozai's brightest light" and Azula finally succumbing to her terror and trauma she was repressing now that her worst fears are realized. How can you see a fourteen year old girl chained to a sewer grate wailing and writhing and breathing fire desperately as unsympathetic? Even Katara and Zuko are horrified as to what has become of her.

The writers weren't looking us in the eye and saying "See? She's a victim too" when they wrote this, they weaved it in. They weaved it into her obsesison with symmetry, her extreme perfectionism, the way she talks about Ozai, the ways she calls herself a monster, her isolation from those with healthy home lives, all the ways she held herself together and ultimately all the cracks and seams that she shattered down when she fell apart. It did not need to be blatant to be clear.

With a shy and uncertain expression, Vash hesitantly asks, "Um... K... Kiss... Please?" Wolfwood, without wasting a second, leans in and kisses him and indulges by pressing deeper, eliciting a small noise of surprise from Vash.

Wolfwood moves away from Vash first and with a smile, asks, "What else?" Vash tugs on Wolfwood's left sleeve, wordlessly budging Wolfwood to give him his hand that was still behind his back. In the next panel, Vash utters, "Hold me..?" He's holding Wolfwood's left hand with his own while his right hand is reaching for his waist. Wolfwood complies, moving his left hand to Vash's shoulder and his right hand continues to touch Vash's cheek. Wolfwood asks again, "What else?"

More comfortable now, Vash leans in to kiss Wolfwood. Wolfwood catches him immediately, pressing his thumb against Vash's lips to stop him before demanding, "Hey. Ask." Vash looks back in surprise and Wolfwood meets his eye with a quiet, insistent look. They're quiet for a moment before Vash leans in again and curtly requests, "Kiss. Me." Wolfwood says "Good", smiling as he lifts his hand away, and meets Vash's lips. In the next shot, Wolfwood had adjusted his position, sitting on Vash's thigh. The hand that was once on Vash's cheek has moved its way to Vash's nape, pushing away the collar of his jacket with his pinky. His other hand continues to grip on Vash's shoulder. Still kissing, Wolfwood asks again, "What else?"

In the next shot, Vash is starting to turn, moving Wolfwood with him. Vash asks, "Let me on top of you?" Wolfwood says, "Mhm" before asking again, "What else?" The next panel shows a close look of Vash's face. He's looking down, flushed and shy just as he had been at the beginning, but now, more decisive. Vash asks, "Wolfwood... Let me have you..?" A panel of Wolfwood taking Vash's hand into his, pulling it towards his chest. The next panel shows Wolfwood lying down where Vash had laid him. Vash's hand is on Wolfwood's chest, covering the cross of his rosary while Wolfwood's hand lingers against his, loosely pressing Vash's hand in place. He looks up at Vash with a shy smile of his own, flushed cheeks. He says, "All yours."

A panel shows a close up of Vash's tender gaze before he leans down to be closer to Wolfwood. The final shot is a front view of their positions, Vash's face turned away from the viewer; Vash is leaning over Wolfwood who's lying down with his right leg draped over Vash's legs. Wolfwood's left hand holds onto Vash's left arm. With finality, Vash says, "...Mine." End ID]

[ID: A follow up bonus comic in a looser, sketchier style. They're laying comfortably in bed when Vash asks, "What was that earlier?" referecing to the start of the previous comic. Wolfwood glances away and says, "To get you used to it. Asking. And getting what you ask for. Since you're alwasy hesitant about it." Vash's eyes widen, tight lipped. Wolfwood continues, "Knowing you, it'll be a tough habit to break..." When he says this, Vash can't help but laugh, unable to deny it. Vash takes Wolfwood's hand with his, kissing the the palm gently. Wolfwood's eyes soften and holding onto Vash's cheek, he leans in to try for a kiss. Vash says, "Hey..." before stopping Wolfwood's lips with the back of his hand, a smug look on his face, "Ask." Wolfwood's embarrassed and with little irritation, asks, "Really?" Vash smiles, saying, "You're in need of practice too." They pause for a moment, Wolfwood looking contemplatively, before he's leaning in again, asking, "May I please kiss you?" Vash looks him in the eyes and says, "Yes." The comic ends with a "chu", indicating an off-panel kiss. End ID]

Jesus Christ almighty I had a patient last night who spoke a language that we could not get a translator for all night. But apparently the language is similar enough to another language that is really easy to get a translator for, so not only was I fuckin calling interpreter services every hour in the hopes that SOMEONE would magically become available, every other resource I could find was like “we have resources for you for a language your patient doesn’t speak. Is that helpful?”

IT WAS NOT HELPFUL. It’s like if you needed an English translator and people kept being like “hmmmm. Well we’ve got guy who speaks German?” Except it does get to the point of desperation and failed attempts at miming and communication boards that you are like “yeah fuck it, let’s give Hans a shot. He cannot be doing any worse than I am right now.”
