⇨ I need someone who writes semi-lit or literate, I write minimum 3000 characters, usually even more. For this same reason I understand if you need a day, or two, or even a complete week to reply but one, I need your answer to inspire me as much as I make an effort for mine to do the same, and two I also need patience because I love roleplaying, but I have other things to do, too.

⇨ I’m mostly looking for doubling, so on OC x CANON while we double up. But I’m also down for OC x OC between our characters, too—for instance, also would love to play my OC against one of the CANON characters.

⇨ I’d like to see a presentation or a template of your character. Of course I’m not asking for the full story because it’s obvious it’s gonna develop itself as we write, but I want to know how I’m roleplaying and who for.

* This is not a request, but since I’ve seen it SO many times; please don’t make the roleplay only about yourself and your OC if it’s not previously agreed. Even while doubling, I want our characters to interact to each other and to have the same great backstory/storyline, I’m looking for equality and big fun stories.

⇨ I usually write in third person, past tense. I’d love it if you wrote in the same way!

⇨I love keeping track on our story and make it real as possible. For that reason, I love creating aesthetic boards or playlists, or even send memes about our characters. If this doesn’t bother you and you do the same, that would be perfect!

Plain text: How to Keep Doing Descriptions (from someone who does a fuckton)

This is a list aimed mostly at helping people who already write IDs; for guides at learning how to do them yourself, check my accessibility and image description tags! I write this with close to two years of experience with IDs and chronic pain :)

Get used to writing some IDs by using both your phone and your computer, if you can! I find it easier to type long-form on my laptop, so I set up videos and long comics on my phone, which I then prop up against my laptop screen so I can easily reference the post without constantly scrolling or turning my head

I will never stop plugging onlineocr.net. I use it to ID everything from six-word tags to screenshots of long posts to even comic dialogue! On that last note, convertcase.net can convert text between all-caps, lowercase, sentence case, and title case, which is super helpful

Limit the number of drafts/posts-to-be-described you save. No, seriously. I never go above 10 undescribed drafts on any of my four blogs. It doesn’t have to be that low, but this has done wonders (italics: wonders) for my productivity and willingness to write IDs. If I ever get above that limit, even if it’s two or three more, I immediately either describe the lowest-effort post or purge some, and if I can't do that then I stop saving things to drafts no matter what. No exceptions! Sticking to this will make your life so much easier and less stressful

Ask! For! Help! Please welcome to the stage the People’s Accessibility Server! It’s full of lovely people and organized into channels where you can request/volunteer descriptions and ask/answer questions

I make great use of voice-to-text and glide typing on my phone to save my hands some effort!

Something is always better than nothing!!! A short two-sentence or one-sentence ID is better than no ID at all. Take it easy :)

If you feel guilty about being unable to reblog amazing but undescribed art, try getting into the habit of replying to OP’s post to let them know you liked it! This makes me feel less pressured to ID absolutely everything I see

This is a sillier one, but I tag posts I describe as "described" and "described by me." When saving to drafts, I never preemptively tag with "described by me," since for some reason that always makes me feel extra pressure and extra stress. Consider doing something similar for yourself if that applies!

I frequently find myself looking at pieces of art which feel like they need to be considered for a bit before I can write an ID for them, and those usually get thrown into drafts, where the dread for writing a comprehensive ID just builds. Don’t do that! Instead, try just staying in the reblog field for a bit and focus on the most relevant aspects of the piece. Marinate on them for a little; don’t rush, but don’t spend more than a handful of seconds either. I find after that the art becomes way easier to describe than it initially seemed!

On that note, look for shortcuts that make IDs less taxing for you to do! For example, I only ever describe clothes in art if they're relevant to the piece; not doing that every time saves a lot of time and energy for me personally

Building off of that, consider excusing yourself from a particular kind of ID if you want to. Give yourself a free pass for 4chan posts, or fanart by an artist who does really good but really complex comics, whatever. Let it be someone else's responsibility and feel twice as proud about the work that you can now allot more energy to!

As always, make an effort to find and follow fellow describers! It’s always encouraging to get described posts on your dash, and I find that sometimes I'm happier to ID an undescribed post when the person who put it on my dash is a friend who tagged it with "no ID"

TL;DR: To make ID-writing less stressful and more low-effort, use different devices and software like onlineocr.net and voice-to-text, limit the amount of work you expect yourself to do, and reach out to artists and other describers!

Lucifer

…MC get off of him. He’s in a meeting.

Aaaaaaaaand they’re napping. Wonderful.

At first, Lucifer is annoyed that he’s got another Belphie on his hands, especially during the time when Belphie’s locked in the attic. How dare MC remind him of the brother that he’s holding under house arrest >:c

But once the relationship grows, Lucifer submits to the snuggles. Luci quickly realizes that he’s very not used to cuddling.

As long as MC isn’t napping through their classes, they’re good. Nap whenever you want, MC, just make sure your homework is done.

MC should expect the cuddling to be one sided in public, but behind closed doors? Hoo boy, the man’s attached to MC like a koala to a tree.

MC may have also accidentally fixed his sleep schedule… it’s just… why does he feel sleepy when he sees them nap? *yawn*

He’s just going to rest his eyes for a second, the paperwork can wait.

Mammon

G-gah! Stupid human! What do they think they’re doin’ cuddling up to him like that!? They do know he’s a demon right?

For the first little while, Mammon tsuderes it up, but he gets so easily flustered whenever MC leans on him that it renders everything he says pretty much meaningless.

The first time MC ever fell asleep on him it was absolutely magical. He slowly patted their head and refused to move until the next day. Sure, his back hurt and he didn’t get any sleep, but MC was just so cute dammit!

Deeper into the relationship, Mammon is the happiest demon alive because he doesn’t need to ask for snuggles! He just plops himself down next to MC and his human just cuddles up next to him!

His absolute favourite thing is when MC falls asleep on his lap. They did it in public once and Mammon took this opportunity to flex. Yeah, he has a cute human that likes to cuddle him, do you?!

Mammon’s only wish is that MC would be more awake when he’s explaining his totally legit business ideas, they always seem to fall asleep once he gets goin’

Leviathan

SISJDJSJSJDJDJSJJAJAKALSKA- PHYSICAL CONTACT?!?!?! WITH HIM?! it’s more likely than you’d think.

First part of the relationship when Levi had just made a pact with MC, he was kind of confused. He had tried to murk this normie just a couple of days ago and now they’re cuddling up next to him? What’s that abou-

Levi.exe has stopped working.

Yeah, Levi blue screening happens a LOT. It takes literal months for MC and Levi to snuggle properly on a regular basis.

As totally Kawaii MC is when they nap on him, they just need to see how this fight scene is animated! MC! MC! Look! Homura and Mami are- WAKE UP AND LOOK AT THIS!

Cuddling in public causes Levi to die a flustered death. Fs in the chat everyone, had a good life, he did.

Though, it makes him feel so much more comfortable whenever MC just holds his hand out in public and doesn’t make a big deal about it. It makes him feel safe ^.^

Satan

At first, Satan was taking notes on how this human got so comfortable so quickly that they just started cuddling people and napping everywhere. Hm, humans appear to be quite adaptable… interesting.

They also seem to lack any sense of danger. Well, at least this one does.

Later down the line though, when MC first crawled into Satan’s lap to nap, it rivalled the first time a cat chose him. This was wild.

Snuggles… while reading stories… yes please…

Okay, that part sounded better than it ended up being. MC fell asleep while cuddling and ended up right on Satan’s arm, then in their sleep, MC basically locked Satan’s entire right side into a vice grip and couldn’t be pried off. Basically, Satan had to reread the same page of his book over and over and over again because he didn’t want to wake up MC.

Well, call it a learning experience, and Satan loves to learn, so next time, he was prepared for MC’s death cuddles.

Apparently he wasn’t prepared enough because the exact same thing happened again… multiple times more.

MC is literally a walking relaxant, Satan is significantly less filled with burning rage when they’re around. Notice I said less filled, he will still cut a bitch.

Asmodeus

Oh~ how bold! MC just plopped themselves down next to him and cuddled up close to him!

At first, Asmo was amused by all the cuddling MC was doing and made quite a few less than wholesome jokes about it. The Avatar of Lust has a dirty mind! Shocker!

But hark! (The herald angels siiiiing-) Asmo actually… likes platonic snuggles?!?! What is this sorcery?!

If MC and Asmo don’t enter a romantic relationship, my man still needs his cuddle quota met, ASAP.

If they do end up dating, hoo boy, MC and Asmo sure do a lot of snuggling, and “snuggling”.

But overall, Asmo loves being held and cuddled, and sleep is good for one’s skin!

Beelzebub

*sniffle* Beeeeeeeeeelllllllllpppppphhhhhiiiiiiiiieeeeeee-

Congratulations MC, they have made Beel more sad about his twin being gone just by existing :D

Once the custard incident happens and MC and Beel grow closer, oh man, oh man oh man, is he in desperate need of cuddles.

If MC ever falls asleep anywhere and needs to get from point A to point B, fret not, Beel is prepared. He will gently pick them up and they will awaken at point B. How nice!

Once Belphie gets his ass out of the attic, MC has competition.

Not really, Beel has enough love to go around. Both his sleepy beans can get carried around and cuddled with. Beel is big and strong for a reason.

Since MC has a vice grip while they cuddle, Beel kind of walks around with them clinging to his arm like a sloth to a tree. Belphie also picks up on this behaviour and starts doing it too.

Gasp! Whomst- whomst is this human who comes before him and cuddles up close to him? This must be his soulmate! His other half! His destined partner!

Anyway, Belphie and MC? I would say power couple but in reality, the two just do a lot of snuggling and sleeping, it’s like they’re attached at the hip.

The two are always touching in some way, Belphie resting his head on MC’s shoulder, MC attaching themselves to Belphie’s torso like a koala, the two of them trading spit with each other… you get the idea.

It gets weird when the two start legitimately visiting each other in dreams, it gets so frequent it basically becomes a date night thing to just sleep and do weird shit in dreamland.

Together, these renders make my post for the nineteenth day of sapphic September - although this takes place before we officially become a couple, it‘s about Lora being conflicted on whether or not to confess to Aline, my self-insert. She definitely wants to, but isn’t sure if Aline loves her back (spoiler alert: she absolutely does, but is way too shy to admit it first) - thankfully both of Lora’s Blades are avid supporters of her endeavours, even if they express this support in slightly different ways, ahaha. I couldn’t for the life of me find an actual blank version of the in-game text boxes, so the ones in the pictures are my rather scruffy attempts to isolate the text box from a screenshot and then recreate it with my own custom text. They look a bit pixel-y around the edges because of the high resolution of the renders compared to the screenshot I used to make them, but for something I did myself without really knowing what I was doing, I don’t think they look too bad.

DA Polyshipping 2022

2021 was a fantastic inaugural year for DA Polyshipping! Everyone's support and participation has been phenomenal, and we want to thank you all for your interest. We do 100% plan on continuing our events next year, but we have decided to make a few changes. These changes are intended to make participation easier for everyone.

What's Changing

DA Polyshipping Day will become DA Polyshipping Week. This will give everyone a full week to reblog or submit polyshipping content we haven't featured on the blog before.

DA Polyshipping Week will be happening only once a quarter in March, June, September, and December from the 15th - 22nd of those months.

Moving forward we want to ask everyone to submit polyshipping content to the blog either by mentioning @dapolyshipping in your posts or by using the submit feature. We will no longer be checking #dapolyshipping or #dapolyshippingday tags.

On the 1st of each quarter (January, April, July, October), we will announce a general theme to help give you some inspiration. You are not required to submit only content using this theme. If you have a theme suggestion, feel free to send it our way via ask, twitter or tumblr dm, discord, or even by email.

Previously, we have spread submitted polyshipping content throughout the month equally, but with the change to a quarterly event, we will be simply dropping things in the queue for the following quarter to post between our scheduled posts. This means posts may not occur at regular intervals.

Beginning now we will be adding polyshipping inspiration posts to our queue! Be on the lookout for things like prompts, ask games/memes, tag games/memes, ship templates (docs and graphics), drawing & pose challenges, etc. If you see something you'd like to share with us (or just have archived on the blog), you may mention @dapolyshipping in these posts at any time and we'll add them to our queue. “Massive” by Drake

There’s not a whole lot I miss about going out less than I used to, but I do feel like I no longer have a sense what’s actually popping off in the real world, never more so than when Drake releases some new project. Because yes a big part of whether “Massive” (and the rest of Honestly, Nevermind) actually sticks is going to depend on whether DJs across the continent decide to remix it into something that can go off in the club (my guess is it needs more bass, less verse, and maybe someone who can actually sing mashed up with the hook.) But the other thing with Drake is always: will I hear it in the corner store? What about the sandwich place I grab lunch from every other week? Does the bookstore have it in the mix even though they usually would skew a little older? As Drake has aged into making cliffs notes of his own greatest hits, he’s increasingly more interesting as a cultural barometer than as an artist: whether or not he makes a hit says less about the song than about the world that finds it interesting. I can’t judge "Massive” in a vacuum because Drake is the vacuum: we fill him with ourselves, or we don’t. If I’m not hearing it in a CVS the week it was released, was it really a Drake song at all?

It’s tempting to feel like “Massive” is not Drake enough for a big Drake single, but, historically, he’s always taken a backseat to 40′s production, any samples used, and, often, the meme-template music video that accompanies the release. Even by that measure, however, “Massive” comes up short. But first, a detour. I’m becoming more aware of a strain of populist Millennial thought that is basically like “oh well, we’re aging anyway, so what if we’re now old?” I’m thirty-six (I like it better typed out; deal with it, please) and I remember my dad at 36 (he’s dead, so no worries offending him by using numerals) and he was not resigned to old age, death, retirement, any of that. If he were still alive he’d be part of the boomer generation that happily works until they die, while I am part of the millennial generation that would rather die than work. He did a lot of fun stuff when he wasn’t working and was even able to (usually) ferret some fun out of work by taking jobs at bookstores and by starting his own record resale business. At 36 he took me, then 11, to my first concert. It was The Wallflowers opening for Counting Crows at what was then known as the World Music Pavillion (Wikipedia says this is wrong but I am certain this is what it was called on the local radio stations) and is now known as the Hollywood Casino Ampitheatre. It’s a big, open space that’s popular for outdoor concerts and festivals like Warped Tour. When he needed to use the bathroom he encouraged me to stand next to some stoners playing hacky-sack and didn’t worry about me at all.

Everything is fucking different now. There was a famous mass murder committed at a strip mall just around the corner from that ampitheatre. I can’t imagine feeling comfortable sitting around in a big, open space like that, leaving my kid in a crowd to take a piss, unclenching long enough to exhale -- it all seems so far out of reach. But still, I feel this incontrovertible will to deem “Massive” an under-performer, a flop. I remember showing up to Mother’s Day brunch in 2018 blasting “Nice For What” on the way in and the way out and I want that life back. I’m mad at Drake that “Massive” is little more than some skeletal house production and his voice at its most passive and forgettable, making the case that his once urgent and important contribution -- sing rapping -- really is just the meandering nowhere of an artist not able to sing or to rap. I hate that. I don’t ever want to go back to the corner store, the sandwich shop, the bookstore and when I do I don’t want to hear “Massive” dribbling out of the speakers, crushing what little oui I have left with the heft of its empty ennui. My dad loved the city, it’s storefronts and concerts and access to imported media. I’m scared all the time and I cry when I try to touch grass and it doesn’t go right. It’s not Drake’s fault but whatever “Massive” was supposed to summon remains frozen in amber.

Demon bros getting made into a meme

So my friends and i love to make memes out of pics we sent or only we understand, so that’s the concept. I’ll do the undateables too and a few meme post of what a chaotic gen z mc would send into the gc with the demon bros and the undateables.

Lucifer:

- If it’s a meme laughing at him, he won’t be happy and will probably punish you (and NOT the good way) for sending this to a group chat with Diavolo in it (which is valid you are sending memes making fun of him to his boss basically).

- Also he WILL murder you if you make Lucifer x Diavolo memes.

- If it’s a meme that is made of a picture of him, but other than that has nothing to do with him, it depends. If it’s a picture that is just him being tired of his brothers shit or something like that and the meme is funny, he will be slightly amused. If it’s a picture he doesn’t like he will be mad but not as mad as if you were making fun of him.

- He would never make a meme, he doesn’t understand the purpose of them and he doesn’t have time.

- So all in all you have to be careful with the kinds of memes you send in the group chat if you don’t want to anger Lucifer. He can take a bit of calling out for example about him trying to kill you twice, but be careful.

Mammon:

- If it’s a meme making fun of him he won’t be too happy but he’ll deal with it. But if you make more than like 2-3 memes about him for example being greedy or stealing he will be sad, that his human thinks about him this way.

- He’s used to being bullied by his brothers, but you saying this hurts him a lot more. Please keep the Mammon calling out to the minimum, just a few memes here and there.

- A good way to make sure you don’t hurt him by calling him out is by making memes praising him, like about his self control and patience or just go and hunt him down to cuddle, and to make sure he knows that you see him as more than his sin.

- If you make a meme that has him as the template and not the content then: case a.) he will boast about you choosing a nice pic of him because he is the best or case b.) throw a bit of a tantrum if the pic of him is not a good one.

- He would try to make memes because you like them but it would take a bit of time til he gets them.

- So Mammon takes the memes well but be careful to not hurt his feelings because he is baby.

Leviathan:

- Oh boy this boy is sooo insecure please don’t call him out in memes, just like really slightly joke about him being in his room all day.

- If he is made fun of by his Henry he will feel really bad and self depricate really bad, like his self esteem will go to the negatives.

- If he is the template he will be glad if it’s a good and funny pic of him but if it’s not he will self depricate again.

- Make memes of him being good at games and he will give you his gamer boy bath water for free.

- Making memes about him being an otaku and spending a fuck ton of money on merch is a okay (just don’t make too much because he will think that you see him as just a yucky otaku).

- He would be the biggest memer in the group chat, him and MC would be THE memers.

- Levi can take a joke unless it hits where it hurts in that case he will be the one who gets affected by it the most.

Satan:

- Satan won’t take it to heart if you joke about his anger issues if you don’t over do it, just like his brothers he will think you only think if him as an angry demon. He is more than his sin and it would break his heart if the only human he cares about wouldn’t see that, especially when he’s working so hard on being his own person l, not Lucifer 2 or THE avatar of wrath.

- But what he won’t stand and will get angry about is if you make memes about him being like Lucifer he does his best to get away from his father brother’s image so don’t joke about that.

- If you use him as a template he won’t mind, if you managed to catch a photo of him being angry he will even be impressed (a bit concerned too that instead of running you pulled out your phone and took photos).

- Satan would rarely make memes but if he does he makes a bunch at the same time mocking Lucifer.

- Satan is confident enough to not be bothered by jokes so over all he’s pretty chill.

Asmodeus:

- Asmodeus won’t mind you making fun of him just like Satan he has enough confidence to not care.

- But what he won’t like is if you make a meme undermining his beauty or saying that someone else is better looking. It won’t affect his self esteem or anything but he will be a bit mad and throw a tantrum.

- If he is a template he will brag that you used him because he is perfect.

- He would only make memes if he wants to mock one of his brothers.

- Probably Asmo takes the memes best out of all of the brothers.

Beelzebub:

- He’d be chill too with memes about him but (I keep repeating myself sorry) if you only make memes about him always eating, he would feel like you only see him as a useless glutton (please don’t make this baby sad 🥺🥺🥺).

- He doesn’t mind being a meme template, if it brings you so much joy then he’ll be glad he could make you smile.

- He would really rarely make memes but if Beel makes a meme about you, oh boy you are destroyed.

- In conclusion Beel just likes to make you smile.

Belphegor:

- He wouldn’t really care about memes of him, he rarely looks at the group chat as is (it has Diavolo so he’s not interested), so he wouldn’t even see them probably.

- Him as a meme template would be the same (you know there is a picture of him sleeping through Satan destroying the whole room that they are in).

- MC would have to explain memes to him and he would really enjoy them and would lowkey become a meme lord.

- He only makes memes if Satan texts him to back him up in mocking Lucifer.

- So Belphie doesn’t really mind the memes or more like don’t care about them at all, if you want him to see a meme send it to him directly or message him to look at the gc.

Why I like them

Her compassion and empathy. I think it's one of Adora's better qualities even though it sometimes leads her astray, to quote Davros of Doctor Who, one of the Doctor's archenemies:

Twelfth Doctor: There's no such thing as the Doctor. I'm just a bloke in a box, telling stories. And I didn't come here because I'm ashamed. A bit of shame never hurt anyone. I came because you're sick and you asked. And because sometimes, on a good day, if I try very hard, I'm not some old Time Lord who ran away. I'm the Doctor. Davros: Compassion then. Twelfth Doctor: Always. Davros: It grows strong and fierce in you, like a cancer. Twelfth Doctor: I hope so. Davros: It will kill you in the end. Twelfth Doctor: I wouldn't die of anything else.

This is, honestly, very Adora IMO. Her capacity for compassion and empathy even towards the woman who abused her and her friends, her compassion for Hordak in the end.

But. Also, I love the few moments of Adora getting as good as she gets, I love when she's being confident and cocky. I love when she stands up for herself. And I love the moments when she finally chooses herself, something she does very rarely.

Why I don’t

The way Adora is so eager to jump at a cause, to matter. So much so she gets caught up in her new mission that it blinds her momentarily and forgets Catra. Or, takes it for granted that Catra won't just jump when Adora asked her to join her.

Adora gets so subsumed by the mission, she becomes blind to everything else, and anything that's not the mission is momentarily pushed on by being in a place where she realized how she grew-up was awful.

I still have some issues about how easily season 1!Adora can leave her life behind, it gives the impression, other than Catra that Adora never really bonded with other people.

(I attribute it to the writing choices they had to make, but it makes me sad for the OG!Adora and OG!Lonnie friendship. Season 1 was very much AtLA season 1).

I think... for Adora, this might be season 3. A lot of her development happens in season 3. Season 4 finale picks up what season 3 laid down and then season 5 finishes one arc of her story, IMO.

Head Canon

A bit of worldbuilding, I have this headcanon that the first times Adora transforms her Eternian/First One heritage appears. Or at least template of one.

For some reason, I keep thinking that the icy detachedness is Eternian and there's a part of her that can be cold and calculating but Adora chooses not to be one.

"You miscalculated." Chilling and also awesome but also, it makes me want to explore Eternian born and bred Crown Princess Adora, House of Randor.

Also, as a Horde trained soldier, she internally suppresses a lot of instinctive harsh and aggressive strategies she comes up with because she's clocked how the much everyone in Bright Moon recoils at Horde strategy. This might be why Adora feels doubly betrayed by Glimmer when Glimmer starts using her as bait without her permission.

(Really though, it's Glimmer turning her into bait without telling her that's niggling at Adora, not the being bait part... which is, yeah).

Adora does like Catra funny and just this side of mean barbs. This is actually text, I just like mentioning it.

Unpopular opinion

I know that it's all for fun and humor but sometimes fandom takes it too far, or some fanfic takes it as writ that Adora is dumb... which she's not. Sheltered by Horde, maybe. And oblivious, but she's smart.

Catra and Adora really needed that time apart from each other, to grow apart without the other person around. Especially in season 4, which I think of as their true break-up period (breaking up when they're not even together yet). Adora cut her ties with Catra in Portal, she still cared but Adora's done being her scapegoat for everything.

A wish

Not only do I wish for the team finding and rescuing Angella, I really really want Adora to find out more about her familhy and twin brother. I feel like this is one of the dangling threads left behind especially when in majority of season 3 Adora's search for her identity was the one that drove her actions. It's one of the first few things that Adora has done for herself.

Also, that Adora gets to have that space sabbatical where she doesn't have a mission or purpose except for just traveling in space with Catra.

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen

As long as Adora doesn't die or her friends die around her and be the only surviving person... I think I'm okay. Because dear god, can you imagine the enormous guilt? Also, I'm pretty sure Adora's going to tear whoever destroyed her loved ones like paper.
