Adults need play! Not just happiness or fun. PLAY – intentionally connecting yourself and others to silliness. Deep, belly-shaking laughter is important. Being vulnerable enough to embrace and anticipate carefree joy is a requirement for living fully. And we have to cultivate those spaces. It rarely happens accidentally. Most are shocked that we use play therapy for adults. But I absolutely could not recover from my own traumas nor help others recover from theirs without the joy, peace, and sense of safety fostered through play and I absolutely would not still be married without intentional play. Reflection

Looking back on the experience of participating in the third term enrichment; Mentoring children’s well being i am grateful i had the opportunity to enhance the program. If i did not undertake the mentoring program, i would not have a focus or specific area of work in which i would be passionate on and wanted to work in.

Today, we are celebrating Indi's 1st Birthday! 🎂🎈🎂🎈 We are so thankful for this silly, beautiful girl! She is Molly's companion and came along in a time in her life when she really needed her. We could never have imagined how much she would impact our lives and Molly's! Indi has so much personality and such a sweet innocent heart! She is full of goofiness and love ❤ Since opening the sanctuary we have discovered that Indi truly does have a helping heart. She teaches the seniors to play and love again. She loves any dog she has ever met and accepts everyone. She has been extremely instrumental in Fayah, Millie's, and Jakes healing. I truly believe Jake's emotional healing processed so quickly because of their bond! Indi is just a truly happy dog and most definitely a very important part of our family. Even though she is a horse, makes a mess, tries to surprise wrestle me I couldn't imagine our life without her. Happy Birthday, sweet girl!
