"It's normal for siblings to fight" Okay well it's not normal to be extremely classist and look down on your sister for being non-conforming. Or to go to the woman who ordered the death of your pet to tell her about your father's plans, when he specifically warned you against doing so, because you want to marry the boy you saw attack your sister and her friend (contributing partially to said father's death and your sister being unable to escape on the ship he chartered). Or to think of your sibling as unsatisfactory in comparison to another when you believe her to be dead. I notice that none of the "Sansa and Arya are going to reunite and instantly have no issues" crowd ever acknowledge any of this, which makes it seem like they don't actually believe what they say about their relationship being normal and easily reconciled. People wanting them to have no issues simply because they're siblings is another example of how fandom likes to flatten complex characters and relationships. They get reduced to being bickering siblings when their conflict runs deeper than that. If the author is telling you that they have "deep issues" to work out [X], I don't understand being so adamant about ignoring said issues. I also get the sense it's about ignoring the capacity for a certain character to be flawed, but that isn't going to change the fact that her "slip of the tongue" is very likely to be revealed and a source of further conflict 🤷🏾‍♀️

The thing thats consistently bothered me the most in the fallout show is the racism. I would hesitate to recommend it because of that alone. And there was obvious love that the set and prop designers, actors, costume department, and even maybe the writers put into the show! There are themes and characters in fallout that i'm certain would resonate with fans of color!

It KILLS me that so many of the fallout entries are damn well unplayable/watchable in this regard because the writers simply Don't Care how the people in their work are presented. That this like hugely popular world with a lot of worldbuilding and thought behind it does such wrong to so many people, fans and otherwise, that you cannot find any game in the series that does it right or well. It alienates a lot of people who might've been fans just because the majority white creators and fanbase don't give a shit, and I'm sick of it.

it's not enough to say "in the fallout in my head that racism doesn't happen," you actually have to put some things into PRACTICE. Allow space in your head, your games/show, your fan spaces for people of color! notice and say something when you see racism coming from media, yourself, and others!

#like its not AS bad as other fallout media but isnt that the fucking kicker. that its not AS bad #and in fact the games im thinking of that are most egregious in their racism ARE interplay/obsidians games.#bethesda is NOT free from criticism or racism. just look at the elder scrolls.#all of the fallout games have been terrible to different extents to their black characters #the games are TERRIBLY sinophobic. the great war being pinned on china allows for SO much racism in the writing and in fan spaces #but fallout 2 and new vegas specifically have awful and degrading representations of indigenous people. to the point where i wont play 2.#and now this show treating maximus nearly one to one with how star wars writers AND fans treated finn? its not okay #personal /#fallout show #fallout blogging #racism #antiblackness #colonialism #fallout #if not for this i would have thought that the show was GOOD. surprisingly compelling. anti capitalist messaging. but its just. all the time #and this is coming from a white person! i can only listen and imagine how painful it is to play these games or watch the show #and be the butt of the joke every time!!! or the villain or the fool or the one who dies or the nameless entry.#maximus gets to have Some time in the light as a protagonist but for the beginning half of it he's treated SO awfully by the writers #and the latter half does not do enough to make up for it #EDIT: I JUST FINISHED THE SHOW AND THEY FUCKING MADE IT WORSE....#taking max out and having lucy leave him. for what exactly. why did they have to undermine him and make him look stupid at every opportunit #AND. two of the more major black women being evil capitalists juxtaposed by some white guy who opposes? .........................#like im glad moldaver was there. i guess. but even she is posed as the villain for the good majority of it and kills innocent people #for no reason and. Honestly manifesting the show to go full dark joke with Alastor’s character because while I call Hazbin edgy for the sake of being edgy, I think it would be hilarious if Al is just a character who flat out says what’s on his mind, aka that being something absolutely horrible, since this is the same guy who got a kick out of the stock market crash and laughed at the fact that there were many orphans.

Like the idea of him being told to comfort Angel and then just say something like “well at least it’s not happening to me”- like in the sketch by Viv would honestly be funny. Him just either being honest about how he hates everyone around him or wants to exploit them, like….let him be an evil unapologetic sick bastard PLEASE Viv-

one au idea i think would be super funny is if shadow somehow figured out that vio was only pretending to be on his side so he could get information and kill him like. almost immediately. like instead of them having time to actually get attached to each other that whole thing is foiled before it starts. and so instead of shadow flying into a rage because of a betrayal instead he's like "y'know what fuck it i can do that too" and starts talking like this whenever vio fishes for information

#this is mostly for the sillies but i don't think it's that out of character considering. everything #i think it's made fairly clear that shadow was 0.2 seconds from either killing vio or tossing him out on his ass if vio proved weak or #not actually on the evil side. i.e. snapping at vio to knock it off with the glowing sword thing #and getting more and more annoyed as the battle with green on death mountain went on and it started to look like vio was losing #it was only after vio 'killed' green that shadow actually started to trust him. that's when he Actually got attached #everything prior to that was pretty much just him doing the classic 'ooooh yeah come to the dark side i'll Totally be your friend'#so if he'd found out that vio was faking it before death mountain i could very well see him being like #'well if that's how he wants to play it then i'll just out-play HIM'#and pull some shit like he did with their dad where he pretends to be something he's not (i.e. willing to switch sides) by like. playing up #the fact that he wants out from under ganon's thumb and then planning to stab THEM in the back when the #others show up and they all 'make friends' because. y'know. as proven by the end of the manga #it took the entirety of link about half a second to go from 'enemy' to 'FRIEND!!!!' concerning shadow.#and shadow. is a lonely little bastard. now that i've actually thought about it he would actually just get attached #to them all over again. nothing would really change. #ask me #so Mel is in the unenviable position of being a very strong character whose rights I support and whose wrongs I also fully support #BUT the way she's treated broadly in the fandom is so pervasive and so consistent and so frustrating to me that #I am in full -must protect my blorbo- mode with her at all times #-Mel's story is over so the only thing left for her to do is die-#-if Mel dies then J can get together with V and they will appreciate her for her sacrifice bc she died a hero who rejected Ambessa-#enough! enough I say!#what about proving to ambessa that she can take the throne for herself? what about the angst of defying her mother and her home country #and opposing those in Piltover who DO want war and want to raze the undercity #what about the magic that she's heavily foreshadowed to have and how it's different from hextech #and how it directly opposes but also parallels what is happening to Viktor #what about her -friends- abroad and the plot Mel was cooking through all of season 1 that has not been revealed yet #there's so much potential for her to have to confront the fact that J was slowly becoming a monster through season 1 #and that she can't ignore the undercity forever #also what if whoever Ambessa says killed her brother comes after Mel too!#it is very frustrating to see Mel get dismissed as dead or evil or irredeemable or whatever when she is consistently #the most interesting person in the room in every single scene she's in and the character who shows the most conviction and change #so yeah i will take a bullet for her she is my blorbo I will despise any character who hurts her #and I would cradle her in my arms if she gave me a chance - which she would never! - but a girl can dream #however I also enjoy leaning into the idea that Mel is perceived as being a devil from the outside - Mel leans into it too when it serves #but it's in direct opposition to her ironclad values and the personality that she keeps hidden a layer down #I genuinely think that Mel will have a happy ending - or at least as happy an ending that an Arcane character can get lol #like I fully believe she will take the throne (Piltover) in the end but I can only guess at this point what that will cost her #I love putting Mel in situations but mainly to play with both how creative she can get and also how fucking far she will go to win #which is ANOTHER thing we know is probably true about Mel but has not been put on display yet #also Mel has already done a great job at separating what she wants for herself as a person from just being Ambessa's daughter #but Mel still deserves to get plenty of great therapy for that situation because OH GOD THAT CHILDHOOD FLASHBACK #also Kino is dead? maybe dead?? at least Mel fully believes he's dead so she needs therapy and hugs for that too #I am super normal about her can you tell

Ichigo being a stay at home dad who works online is so in character for him actually…… he’s the type of dad to enforce 1 hour of no screen time outside playing in the yard and/or playground. He texts Orihime goofy pictures of Kazui jumping around in some water fixture in the local park and carries him home soaked to the bone and shivering with the biggest smile on his face and then they eat ice cream and wait for Orihime to get home so they can have family game night.

#I cannot see how someone can dislike ichihime and their beloved baby boy #they’re so silly!!#honestly I think a lot of it comes from forgetting Ichigo isn’t Just his badassery and trauma and stubbornness #Ichigo is goofy and funny and likes playing games and has shown how genuinely warm and welcomed/welcoming he is around Hime #and a lot of the times when I see posts referencing how Orihime is bad for him or is like… a creep or whatever #I can’t help but notice that it just. doesn’t sound like Ichigo at all #Ichigo Kurosaki is full of love and compassion and he adores everything around him #he loves and honors even the most evil of people and recognizes others struggles even if he can’t relate #there isn’t a single thing about him that conveys this supposed dislike for Orihime or this discontent with his life #Ichigo is like. a happy person #he suffers and he endures so much and he keeps finding new ways to love and understand others #he fights so hard to be happy… so why can’t people except that maybe he is?#at some point you just have to accept that a character can be content #Ichigo is married to Orihime. he works from home. he adores his son and his wife and his family #and like. that’s okay? there doesn’t need to be some deep reason. you don’t need to try and drag even more character out of him #he has enough!!!!!! he has more than enough character to go around!!#please let Ichigo Kurosaki love his wife and his son… and also let Rukia do the same #I know I just now mention her but this tangent is directed towards the Weird ichirukis I see poking around on twt and tumblr #Rukia is happy with her husband!!! she likes Renji!!!! she likes him so much in fact that she married him and had a kid with him #Rukia and Ichigo both are very hardheaded characters and if they’re unhappy with their circumstances THEYLL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT #they’re not scared to be honest with themselves and others anymore!! they’re very vocal about their opinions if you haven’t noticed yet #some of the first things we learn about both of them is that they aren’t scared to speak their mind #I am fucking certain that if they happened to Not Want to end up with their respective spouses they would’ve just. not married them #idk what copium ichirukis that don’t like Renji and/or Orihime are smoking I really don’t #you love these characters so much and yet you discredit one of their most recognizable traits!!! their readiness to DO WHAT THEY WANT!!!!!!#they’ve proven time and time again thag they do whatever they want within reason #there is not a possible universe where either of these characters would sit quietly and let themselves be unhappy for the sake of the others #because they’ve learned. and they’ve grown. and they trust Renji/Orihime enough to understand their decisions becuase it’s in the fucking—#—text how much they respect and trust them to understand their feelings #this ramble is too long I’ve reached 30 tags URASHIN CANON GOODNIHHT AMERICAAAAAAAAAAAA

Iguaza is reverse sans is the funniest thing I’ve ever heard and why is it technically true

#armored core #armored core iguaza #armored core 6 #armored core 6 spoilers #ac6 spoilers #armoured core 6 spoilers #technically because iguaza’s dialogue on why your so powerful despite being a new mercenary #is because the true ending can only be achieved on a 3rd play through #so the player has access to the best weapons in the game #but Iguaza acknowledges this unlike every other character which in a weird way sort of canonises multiple timelines #add onto that the fact iguaza is an unassuming character in other routes who then becomes the final boss on the route where the player #does the arguably most evil stuff #so in the weirdest coincidence ever fucking iguaza shares weird similarities to sans undertale
