Hey, I've been trying to start a Diplomacy game on Sufficient Velocity. It's gotten just enough interest that I can't abandon it, but also it's short on players.

(Youngstown Diplomacy is just a Diplomacy variant which includes Asia and adds three players. Which is part of why I want more than two players.)

So I'm trying to set up a new Curse of Strahd Campaign, however we've only got a couple players right now and are looking for more. We've already got a DM, yours truly, but I'm hoping to get 2-3 more players for this group.

In case you don't know me, hi! My name's Watson (they/she/he pronouns), I'm 19, I've been playing D&D 5e for about 5 years, and this will be my second time running CoS. Here's some things to keep in mind before you DM me about joining:

This is going to be an online campaign conducted over Discord, joining VC during sessions is going to be a requirement, but you don't need a fancy audio setup or turn on your camera. Just a reliable internet connection and a working mic.

Curse of Strahd is a horror-centric campaign, and will likely stray into some uncomfortable subject matter. Although my goal as the DM is always to unsettle, not upset, there are some topics that are unavoidable as a consequence of the main plot.

Looking for LGBTQ+ friendly players

New players are more than welcome to join!

A consistent schedule is preferred, for the sake of making sure everybody can make it and not have to miss out.

Prefer a roleplay heavy game that's gonna be lighter on combat (as combat light as you can be with CoS, anyway)

Finally, if you've played or DM'd CoS before, you're still welcome to join! I just ask that you don't metagame (though this is a rule to keep in mind regardless.)

I once again find myself returning. I am looking to start two different tabletop groups, both of which I would like to run as podcasts.

Ttrpg 1:

This tabletop would be played Sunday mornings, 9am-12pm est. It will be using the D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) handbook. It will be homebrew, in world and lore, some rules, some races and classes. 19-26 age range, please. Be LGBTQ+ friendly. And be ready for some sensitive topics to be mentioned. I'm looking for about six players.

It will be set in the modern world (our world) with the premise of a college surrounded in mystery, with Gods, supernatural beings, and demigods. With some time traveling shenanigans. 19-26 age range please. Be LGBTQ+ friendly. And be ready for some sensitive topics to be mentioned. I'm looking for about six players.

DND AD: PLAYERS WANTED FOR SEA FARING ADVENTURE.

Hi, I don't post much on my account but I have a DND campaign going down on Wednesdays 8pm est weekly and I like to snag two more players for the complete party before I start it off after the holidays.

The campaign sets in a steampunk/medevil world full of monsters, fae and pirates. A world government fighting against piracy. Secrets of the world as well as the homebrew gods having their own secrets. Among all the chaos, there is a rising Gulid that can potentially change anything that will be up to the players.

I am gonna make it as immersive as possible as a campaign. The campaign will explore dark themes but if anything planned in the campaign will be triggering, I will immediately let the whole group know and check with all of you if you are ok with it.

I am a new dm, autistic and willing to take in new and veteran players! We are doing the campaign on discord so add me as a friend on Tumblr and type 'i wanna vibe'. I will know you may be interested in the campaign, from there, I will tell you my discord name and we will continue discussing and vibe from there to see if you fit the bill for the campaign and I will invite you into the server once you are in.

In the past, people in the Animal Crossing community would make fun of Tom Nook as a sleazy landlord. Since then, he's really rehabilitated his image as this 'heart of gold' businessman (he's the one who puts bells and furniture in trees for you to find! he adopted orphans! he donates to charity!), but New Horizons genuinely paints the most devious version of him.

He's successfully privatized settler colonialism: you pay HIM to move to a "deserted island" (which apparently the oceans in the AC world are just full of) and start a colony that he is directly invested in. At best he's running a weird vacation package scam (you arrive on the island with no money and in debt for "using his services"). At worst, he's using you to set up company towns. For god's sake, he literally has his own fake currency that he forces you to use to pay off your debt. But don't worry, he's repackaged it in a way that definitely doesn't sound like an MLM scam: the Nook Mileage Program!

You're no longer just his tenant or his temporary part-timer, you're his business lackey. The entire tutorial section of the game has you spending actual weeks running around completing tasks and doing hard labor to set up his colony. You're even tasked with preparing his properties and finding buyers for them. No, you aren't a tenant anymore. You work for the landlord. You are directly responsible for finding tenants for him. And he doesn't even fucking pay you. Not for setting up town hall and museum, or his nephew's shop –– which is the ONLY store on the entire island that sells necessities –– or bringing KK Slider to town, or helping populate his town. Not a single cent. No, actually, you have to pay HIM to BUY infrastructure like bridges and stairs and park benches. And all the while, he's telling you're the "resident representative"; you get to call the shots! That the reward is the community's progress. That what you're doing is in everyone's best interest (but most importantly, his).

Since NH's release, people have done a lot of legwork to say that Tom Nook isn't a capitalist while the game shows him at his very worst. He owns the only general store in town. You're forced to use a phone that he modified and branded as his own. Buy Nook-branded furniture and merchandise at the self-serve kiosk in the town hall, a governmental building! There's no conflict of interest here!

But hey, if you're tired of being the landlord/business mogul's goon, you can also find work as a deluxe resort home designer for a company that also pays you in their special company currency that can only be used to buy their products instead of a real salary! Because that's what the Animal Crossing franchise needs! More vacation homes!!!
