Summary: Cat Noir gets into some catnip and start acting like a love sick puppy who is determined to be as clingy as possible with you.

It was night in Paris and here you were laying on the couch next to your boyfriend cuddling him. You were watching Princess and the Frog, best movie ever, the movie was in its final scenes in ending.

"Mon amour, are you all right"?, Chat said looking at your awkward position.

"Hmm..I just have to use the bathroom", you said continuing to squeeze your thighs together to stop the irritation.

"Just go Mon amour, why hold it", Chat smiled brightly also maneuvering to sit up like you.

"I can't, it's my favorite part of the movie", You eagerly said before you saw Chat roll his eyes before pausing the movie.

"There, now go Mon amour", Chat said watching you quickly get up before running to the bathroom to do your business.

Suddenly you heard a crash in kitchen before you quickly finish using the bathroom before running into the kitchen.

"What happened, Chat are you hurt"?, You said scared upon seeing the mess on the floor. Turning the corner you saw a bag of catnip on the floor but before you could pick it up, You felt someone jump on top of you.

"ARGHH, What the-,Chat...What are you doing?", You asked in pain before looking at Chat angrily.

"What did you do that", But instead of answering Chat only hugged you tighter refusing to let you go.

You found the source of the problem, Chat had eaten catnip which altered him to act so weird. You tried to create some space but Chat just chose to jump on your back, staying there.

"No, don't leaveee, please", Chat adorably replied pouting with his cute lovesick eyes, making it so hard to refuse.

You almost caved...Nevermind you caved in, I mean how could you leave Chat all alone especially in this state. So you were basically his cuddle pillow.

"Were gonna be together forever and ever right...", Chat said with his infamous sweet smile that melts your heart on how adorable he looks.

"Of course baby", You smiled before gently playing with his hair.

"Hmm, baby I'm gonna go get's some water, I will be right back", you said getting up but being dragged back down with Chat cuddling your arm.

"NO, you are not going anywhere amour", Chat grinned before laying his head on your lap.

You gave up trying to leave Chat from his body basically on top of you and how fussy he got when you tried to move just an inch.

"It said it should last an hour or maybe more", You google up 'what to do if your cat ate some catnip'.

"Luckily its nothing serious, only the cat would get super clingy, great", You smiled at the purring kitty resting on your leg.

"You tired Baby", You grinned gently rubbing behind chat ear's.

Chat gave a sleepy nod, rubbing his face deeper into your leg enjoying the massage.

"Do you want to go to bed or stay here", You said admiring the way Chat looked all sleepy.

"Here", Chat quietly mumbled to you.

"Why don't you detransform so you can be comfortable", You suggested before Chat stood quickly mumbled out 'Plagg claws in'.

You stood up before laying Chat down on the couch, "Where are you going?", Chat tiredly said before opening his eyes glancing up at you.

"I am going to go feed Plagg and put him to bed then I will cuddle you", You sweetly smiled. Yep, Plagg and Adrien love to stay over all the time so you decide to buy a small bed for Plagg to sleep in and restock on all his favorite cheeses. As you went to leave, you could hear Adrien getting up before following you to the kitchen.

"Here Plagg some Camembert", you saw Plagg quickly stuff the cheese down his belly.

"That was the best Camembert, Yum", Plagg said burping then rubbing his belly satisfied then flying towards your room to go to bed.

You dragged Adrien back to the couch before taking some of his spare pajamas he has left over here, to change into.

Adrien quickly changed before taking your hand and laying on the couch with his hands around your waist as his face buried into your shoulder.

You slowly lifted the blanket on to the two of you before hearing the soft purrs of Adrien sleeping before doing the same.

Since I've been seeing more people reading this post, just a heads up: the fic has been made.

You know, we have a lot of 'Villain Chat Noir' AU fics, but is there any that have it be positive?

Like, Adrien getting to work along side his father actually leads to more father/son bonding because their villain identities are both goofy drama queens who finally found something they have in common. As well as both having outlets for the frustration of what they have to pretend to be in their real lives.

In the day time, Gabriel is sitting in his office, lecturing Adrien about upholding the Agreste name and dolling out his strict schedule. By night, Hawkmoth and Chat Noir are hold up in the lair, brainstorming puns and quips while Chat gently tells him to stop akumatizing Mr. Pigeon.

Their version of a fishing trip is stealing from the Dupain Bakery. "We're rich, can't we just pay?" "No, because we're evil." *Chat proceeds to leave money on the counter anyway.*

Gabriel coldly reprimands Adrien for getting anything less than an A, while Hawkmoth akumatizes the teacher who dared give his son a B+.

Ladybug is like 'Oh my god, there's two of them.' as Chat and Hawkmoth synchronise their team rocker-ass intro speeches and Mayura's just shaking her head because she has to live with these two goobers.

Gabriel's making a snobbish speech about those damn hooligans wasting their time with silly shenanigans, all while Adrien's resisting the urge to laugh 'cus Hawkmoth akumatized a baby yesterday and spent half of the fight trying to get the baby to pronounce his name right.

Master Fu wonders what horrors the villains are putting his innocent kwamis through, and it just cuts to Nooroo and Plagg dropping the beat.

Chat: *Starts helping old ladies across the street.* Hawkmoth: I knew that Marinette Dupain Cheng was a bad influence on you!

Adrien in the middle of class having a heart attack as an akuma flies straight into the window trying to get his attention. Adrien: Father, now is not the time! Hawkmoth: I just- I just- I just want to check if Chloe's pissed anyone else off yet. Adrien: Didn't Nathalie say no akumatizing until you finish your paperwork? Hawkmoth: She's not the boss of- Nathalie: Gabriel, I can hear you monologuing from the dining room. You better not be interrupting Adrien's education! Hawkmoth: Gotta go!

Adrien: Father, can you not akumatize one of my friends for five minutes?

Hawkmoth: Young man, what do you think you're doing? Plagg: Don't panic, Kid. Show him who's boss. We don't take grief from anybody. Adrien: I'm r-rebelling, Father. You don't own me! Hawkmoth: I do, however, own all of Plagg's cheese. Plagg: ...Okay, Kid, let's think about this-

I know you’ve said in the past that you don’t think switching marinette and adrien’s kwamis would solve anything writing-wise, but do you think having the kwamis switch personalities would do the trick? marinette still has ladybug/creation, but with plagg’s personality, and adrien still has black cat/destruction, but with tikki’s personality. thoughts?

No, I don't think that this would fix anything because it's approaching the problem as if the issue is some flaw in the show's base setup. As if you have to make major changes for Miraculous to work. My stance has always been that the base setup is totally fine. The problem is the execution. In fact, I think that the current kwami personalities are a great choice, the problem is that they're not being used well.

Marinette has a pretty strong personality. She knows what she wants, but has a tendency to get caught up in her own head and a tendency to make snap judgments. Those tendencies make her occasionally fail to consider alternate paths or points of view. That means that what she needs most is someone who will make her consider those alternatives. Someone who will be direct, talk her out of mental spirals, and keep her focused. A voice of reason, if you will. Tikki is perfectly suited to that role. She is not the kind of kwami to sit passively by. Plagg, on the other hand, would just encourage Marinette along the path of glorious chaos or let her do whatever she wants so long as he gets his cheese. While I think that could be genuinely fun to watch, it's not really benefiting Marinette much and this ask appears to be treating the Kwamis as potential mentors, so I will, too.

Adrien is a little more complex. Given his rather depressing home life, I can see why someone would want to pair him with loving Tikki over more-detached Plagg, but I'll explain why I think that Plagg is the better fit IF you actually let him mentor.

Adrien is a passive follower. He never fights for himself and he bows to authority at the drop of a hat. While those traits are arguably strengths for his role on the battlefield, they're not great for him in his day-to-day life. There's nothing wrong with being more passive and more of a follower, but he needs to learn that he can make his own choices, too. The best way to do that is to give him the kind of mentor who doesn't just hand him the answers. Someone a little chaotic whose style is subtle pushes and not just handing him a possible path to take because Adrien would absolutely just take the suggested path. Plagg is perfectly suited to taking on this style of mentorship and it is a crime that the show never let him shine.

Example scenario: Adrien feeling left out in season four. (Note the following is a very rough draft)

Adrien: I feel like Ladybug doesn't need me anymore. She keeps calling in other heroes! Tikki: You need to talk to Ladybug and tell her how you feel! Ask her when she's free to meet up! Adrien: Okay, what should I say? Tikki: Tells him what to say.

This is solid advice, but Tikki is just handing Adrien an answer. He's probably not going to learn from this and may even flub up his talk with Ladybug without Tikki walking him through it because he's just doing what he's told and not coming to this path on his own. Contrast this to Plagg in his ultimate form (by which I mean mentor Plagg, not eldritch horror Plagg):

Adrien: I feel like Ladybug doesn't need me anymore. She keeps calling in other heroes! Plagg: And you're left watching from the sidelines every time? Adrien: No, not always. Plagg: So she's sharing the cheese now? Giving you slices instead of the whole wheel? Adrien: yeah, I guess. Plagg: why? Adrien: what do you mean why? Plagg: why'd she start sharing? Adrien: I don't know. Plagg: Huh. Too bad. If only there was a way you could find out. I guess it will remain a mystery. Adrien: (annoyed) Ladybug knows! Plagg: And? Adrien: And... I guess I could ask her? Plagg: I mean, if you started sharing my cheese, I'd be demanding answers! Adrien: I'd never share your cheese! Plagg: You promise? Never? Not even if you were starving? Adrien: Well, I mean, I guess I might if it was an emergency or something, but I wouldn't share it without a good reason! Plagg: And Ladybug's different? Adrien: What do you mean? Plagg: She does things without a good reason? Adrien: Of course not! She's brilliant! She always has a plan! Plagg: Interesting. Might want to keep that in mind for your little talk. Adrien: (after a thoughtful pause) So you think I should talk to her? Plagg: Is there another way for you to find out what's going on? Adrien: No. Plagg: Then why are you bothering me? Sounds like you only have one option!

Note that Plagg never gives Adrien a clear answer here. He just asks questions in a bored manner and lets Adrien think things through. He's guiding Adrien to a specific answer, but making Adrien really think about it, better prepping him for the coming talk. This mentorship style would drive Marinette crazy, but I think it would do wonders for Adrien! The difference is that, in this situation, Marinette probably already knows what she needs to do and is just avoiding it while Adrien genuinely needs help realizing that he can speak up. This doesn't mean that Adrien should never get direct, clear advice, I just wouldn't make that the standard as it's not helping him with his passivity.

All of this is a big part of why I love Plagg so much. That little cheese gremlin is just brimming with potential and it saddens me greatly that canon will never give it to us. They gave him the perfect personality, they just missed the fine details of how that personality should function as a mentor.

I’ve been rewatching episodes of miraculous because I finally got the family Disney Plus Password (was too lazy to ask) and I’ve been struck with thoughts.

I desperately want to rewrite the season 3 episode “Felix” because OH DEAR GOD I HATE IT. You only get the good shit when you read between the lines, what’s actually shown is ass.

So here’s my ideas for a rewrite

- Adrien definitively knows Colt Fathom was abusive, and alludes to it vaguely. He switched identities with Felix as a kid and has a good idea of what he went through at home.

- Adrien is less condescending in his taunts during the battle and shows a little more empathy towards his cousin. Less “boohoo bozo you have no friends” and more like, “dear god what happened to you bud?” Like he’s genuinely concerned over his wellbeing. Angry over what he did but genuinely concerned. Angry that his cousin never got a therapist lol.

- Marinette doesn’t try to confess her love to Adrien on the anniversary of his mother’s death because that’s literally so stupid.

- Felix is a bit more straightforward in his goals here, in that the audience is not led to believe he’s straight up evil. His behavior and general demeanor are more in-line with how he’s portrayed in season 4. He’s less obsessed with the GDV rings and more focused on outing his uncle as Hawkmoth or catching him in the act.

- He specifically chooses to mess with the videos to not only lure out Hawkmoth but because he’s extremely lonely and jealous. And that’s shown via subtle facial expressions and visual cues.

- His attempts to get Hawkmoth’s attention are more clearly shown to be an attempt to double-cross him and not just for the lols. Like, there’s certain things he does in the OG that are literally pointless, like the shit with Plagg’s cheese. Why? just, why?

- He is shown to be super competent at physical things (beating people up lol) but his social ineptitude is more clearly alluded to.

- No more SA scene I will burn that scene.

- Amelie actually gets to do stuff. She’s more straightforward about needing the GDV rings and actually makes an attempt to steal them herself. Auntie on a mission,

Canon Divergence Territory (aka rewrite)

✨MLB S3 Episode 23: Zelus✨

- If I wanted to do a bit more canon divergence, I’d shift focus from Felix being a trouble maker for the lols and instead focus on his jealousy. The feeling of being left behind by your only friend.

- His attempts to sabotage Adrien’s relationships is not to bait Hawkmoth but instead because he’s overcome with jealousy that Adrien has all these friends supporting him through his mothers passing, when Felix has never had anyone, both when his dad was dead and when he was alive. Nobody came to save him when he needed it and he’s gonna make that everybody’s problem.

- He thinks it’s unfair that Adrien seems to be so much happier than him and gets all of the things Felix wants (companionship) all the while getting to avoid the abuse he went through.

- Bro is genuinely super bitter and emotionally broken but hides it under a facade of showing no emotion at all until he snaps and gets akumatized into Zelus.

- Zelus (more commonly known as Phthonus) is the Greek personification of Jealousy.

- Maybe the ending could parallel the ending of Perfection, where other characters make an attempt to reach out and say “ur not alone <3” and while it works to defeat him, the message does NOT reach Felix and he goes home outwardly seeming better (it’s an act. One that Adrien believes) but remains just lonely.

- Like Kagami his trust issues run deep and one single episode is not gonna fix them. (They’ll heal together though, trust me!)

- His experience getting Akumatized proves to him that his uncle is Hawkmoth, he swipes the GDV ring on his way out to please his mother, and season 4 proceeds as written.

Dialogue Changes

Adrien: Listen, Plagg. Félix lost his dad not so long ago, he's probably not himself.

Plagg: I'm sorry, but there's just no excuse! You never touch my cheese, and yet, you just lost your mother not so long ago, right?

Adrien: My mom and his dad were nothing alike. It’s totally different.

Daminette December 2023:30-Save Some for Me

Many people of the Justice League were summoned for a mission. Some were hiding in the shadows, others were stuck as civilians. Everything was going fine in the mission until Damian Wayne was suddenly thrown into building. That was the day he learned his two sunshine would go to hell for him.

Damian lay aginst the building. His vision was foggy, at best.

'Concussion. Labored breathing; likely a broken rib or two.'

He hadn't noticed people had started running away and were screaming. He hadn't even noticed Jon and Marinette calling his name until they got to his side.

'Hearing impairment.'

"Don't touch him!" Jon shouted, "He has some broken bones and some bad bruising."

"Concussion. Hearing impairment. Labored breathing." Damian whispered out, "Tired."

" Stay awake. I'll get a medic as fast as I can." Jon remarked, "I'm staying with you. I'll protect you from any more damage."

'That's good. His body can shield me from anymore debris or if there's any bullets.'

Damian felt wet drops fall on him.

'Rain?'

It wasn't until he heard the sob that he realized it was Marinette.

"Angel. I will be fine." he spoke.

He saw her hand turn into a fist and drop her precious earrings into her purse. She shoved it into Jon's arm.

"Marinette?" Jon asked.

He saw Marinette place a small ring on her hand.

"Claws out." she snarled.

Before his eyes, his angel looked like a small version of Selina in her CatWoman outfit. Her hair had turned jet black and was tied in a long braid down to her ankles. Her suit was now black. She was wearing thigh high heels with a green sash wrapped around her waist. Her hands had turned claws. She no wore a black domino mask the looked like his own robin mask and upon her head, were a pair of cat ear, trimmed with green. Then, she was gone.

"You might want to make sure Angel doesn’t kill anyone." Damian spoke, before passing out with a smile.

Jon turned to see Marinette lunging at people and blood splattering everywhere. It reminded him of watching his best friend train with his swords.

'Oh, shit! There's two of them!'

Jon quickly rushed away and grabbed ahold of her, locking her arms. She still managed to move with him holding her.

'I was wrong. She's scarier!'

The Bats quickly rounded everyone up as the rest of the Justice League avoided Ladybug, now turned Cat. She was hissing and clawing, trying to get away from Superboy. He had scratches on him from holding her back and was bleeding. Superman quickly rushed over and knocked her out. Superboy huffed and handed her over to Batman.

"Your son's girlfriend is just as deadly as he is." he huffed.

Plagg released himself from the ring.

"Do you have any cheese?" he questioned.

"What?" replied Superman.

"Another alien?" asked Green Lantern.

"Rude." Plagg answered, "I am the God of Destruction."

"Yep. That fits the bill." Red Hood responded, "Demon Spawn dating a person of destruction."

"Oh, you have it all wrong." Plagg declared "She only used me because she was pissed and you should be grateful, she did."

"She killed ten people." Batman spoke.

The kwami shrugged, "Could have been worse."

"How?" asked Nightwing.

"She could have been weilding her usual, my other half: Tikki, the Goddess of Creation. She created the universe." Plagg explained, enthusiastically, "When she gets pissed, she creates weapons of mass destruction. Instead of ten people, it could have been half the planet."

All the heroes looked at Marinette unconscious in Batman's arms.

"Who's the bad one now?" Plagg smirked, "At least she didn't used Kalki. Could have just teleported them over a volcano or a pit of death."

"So, do you have cheese?" Plagg asked again.

Jon was quick to warn the medical team about Damian's injuries and the extent of them, as he was placed on a stretcher.

"Ah, Loverboy." Plagg declared.

The Kwami of Destruction tapped on the downed Robin and let the green aura wash over him.

"Is that-?" Tim shouted.

"My magic." Plagg stated, absorbing it, "Seems he has a lot of it in him. Not as goo as cheese, but it helps. I'll talk to the bug and she can give my ring to him, for awhile. I should be able to absorb the rest. Same with Helmet Head."

"Really?" questioned Red Hood."

Plagg nodded, "Yep."

"Are you perhaps talking about the Lazarus Pits magic?" Batman asked.

"I don’t know what you people call it now, but that is our magic." Plagg explained, "Someone wished for it so we made it. It's why she works so hard to makes sure it doesn’t happen."

Red Hood shook his head, "They're a perfect match."

"Huh?" asked Wonder Woman.

"Demon Spawn and his 'Angel'. We all know if Batsy, here, wasn't around, he'd be leaving Gotham painted red. Hid girlfriend is the same way, if he gets hurt. You can't honestly tell me if she got hurt, he'd go back to being an assassin." he explained.

The Justice League loked between the unconcious couple.

"I say it's Batman's problem, now." Green Lantern stated, "His kid and future daughter-in-law."

So here’s some things I imagine happen in this

Basically Marinette at some point relinquished guardianship and Ladybug and Chat Noir retired. (Debating to have a little bit of past angst by keeping the memory wipe)

Years later on Emma’s 16th birthday, an akuma crashes through the roller rink. Adrien got everyone to safety and Emma finds a strange box in the room he put her in. Joined by Crimson Bird (we’ll get to her one day), they defeat the akuma and learn of the return of the once thought to be destroyed Butterfly miraculous. Violet Empress

Emma doesn’t know her parents were super heroes and they won’t find out she’s one for a bit.

She’s a roller skating champ and only gets better with the added cat agility. Still crap at walking tho.

Emma is a big fan of the ‘old’ heroes and collects merch from the time. Her dad seems to be very good a sourcing ultra rare ladybug and chat noir stuff…

Once she debuts as Kitty Bo, she finds a Kitty Bo costume in her Dad’s wardrobe. She assumes its for her for the next con as he’d been hinting that with the new Chat Noir someone could have a new costume. Ofc this makes her panic because ‘what if he realises??’. On the day, turns out this costumes for him! Kitty Bo is apparently his favourite ‘new’ hero. While Chat Noir is her’s.

(Secretly they are both very pleased by these facts)

Plagg is ofc delighted his next holder is the daughter of his previous. This leads him to being an annoying little git. The only thing keeping his from running to Adrien is the identity protection thing. Eventually a midnight cheese escapade leads to a very damning sighting by Adrien and some quick lies about needing a quick recharge while patrolling. Adrien starts crying, Plagg leaves, it is all very confusing. Meanwhile Emma is in her room jamming out, unaware her kwami nearly exposed her.

I’m not sure how the reveals will go yet. The AU is Adrien & Emma centric as I think Adrien’s strive to be not like his dad and Emma wanting to live up to her’s in two ways unbeknownst to her is interesting.

The proper reunion is very emotional and Emma lets her dad transform for a bit, giving the public a shock. Marinette gets to borrow Tikki too and they go have a romantic evening on the Eiffel Tower, a defining spot of the relationship they couldn’t visit after giving up the miraculous.

We Can Grow Up Without You (Two-Letters inspired Anti-prompt)

Marinette had snapped one day. She was done with being a hero.

She had a plan all figured out. She would trick Chat Noir into an ambush so that she could take the ring from him. She would trick Lila into thinking that the ring was secretly in space, all while she secretly kept the ring for herself as leverage, then give the Miracle Box to Lila so that she could be "the Ladybug that Paris deserved", one that would also ensure her former friend's misery. With her memories wiped, Marinette could be with Luka, the only person who cared about her, all the while holding onto the ring so that she could go after Lila, in case she ever needed the Wish to ensure Luka remained loyal to her.

Clearly, this was the best plan, an insane Ladybug thought.

So imagine the chill in her blood when a year after she done her plan, she went to go check on the ring, only to find it missing.

It didn't take long for Marinette to find the news about Chat Noir seemingly betraying the new Ladybug, revealing her to the world as Lila Rossi. She (alongside Felix, who was also unmasked as the new Hawkmoth) were both arrested on charges of essentially staging akuma attacks, while the "Chat" that was Lila's partner was revealed to be a Sentimonster in disguise. All the miraculouses were collected by the real Chat Noir, then he too disappeared.

Marinette knew exactly where he went, however.

Snarling, a livid Marinette went to the office tower of Agreste (renamed from the well known Gabriel brand) where Adrien was located, having returned from a month long vacation. She was unexpectedly let in without resistance however, as Adrien was supposedly expecting her.

Smiling an empty smile, Adrien stared at Marinette, sporting not only a familiar ring, but also a familiar set of earrings.

"Hello Marinette, its been a while, hasn't it?"

Naturally, Marinette was anything but polite. She ranted and raved about how Adrien wasn't supposed to have the ring (nor the earrings). She was outraged, horrified, and most of all confused.

Despite not needing any reason to tell her, Adrien obliged Marinette's demand for an explanation and told her his story.

About a month after Marinette went through her plan, Adrien took a lot of time to think about things. What he had went through regarding losing his miraculous, what he had felt at being tricked by Ladybug and Marinette. He wanted to scream and shout, to let go of his anger and blame everyone around him. Yet he had remembered one of the wise things Plagg once said (during a time he wasn't asking for cheese), and decided to reorient himself by focusing on one step at a time. Adrien messed up by letting his guard down around his former crush, but decided to make up for it by going after the new Ladybug, who at the moment was causing trouble for Paris.

Through some detective work (with the help of Max Kante) and using his head for the first time, Adrien tracked down Felix over the course of a week and managed to catch the latter off guard. Stealing the Peacock Miraculous from his cousin, Adrien created a sentimonster to track down the other miraculouses while pretending to be his cousin (to keep Lila unaware), including his former ring and the butterfly miraculous, which Felix had kept in a safe for when he was causing villainy as "Hawkmoth". He also learned from Dusuu the truth about himself, that he was actually a sentibeing created by his mother, and that her using the then broken miraculous was the reason for his passing. Despite the revelation shaking him, Adrien kept going, focuing on one step at a time.

From there, it was easy to take care of Lila (who grew so arrogant that she didn't expect Adrien to have any way to take her down) and get the rest of the Miracle box back. He also managed to track down the pieces of the Rabbit Miraculous and repair it again, after Marinette was able to destroy it.

With all the Miraculouses returned, Adrien finally used the opportunity to finally figure out what went wrong with his former partner and what caused her to give up being a hero.

Through evidence provided by Tikki and Plagg and a little help from the Rabbit Miraculous (through windows in time), Adrien had learned what went from with Marinette and why she had snapped. She saw how other people used her for granted, Adrien included, and how the responsibility overwhelmed her to the point she felt she had to leave.

However, Adrien also saw that Marinette had also ended up blaming other people for why she was like this (despite having other options to fix her problems), including blaming her partner for being supposedly unreliable (when she had pushed him away from helping with her plans or choosing the wielders) and for being unknowingly tricked by the Sentimonster Ladybug (which he admitted was stupid at the time, but he couldn't have imagined a sentimonster posing as a human at the time). Worse still, Marinette had started to blame the people of Paris for being akumatised, refering to them by their akuma names, despite it clearly being Hawkmoth's fault.

It was Marinette's mention of "Chat Blanc" that got Adrien's attention. Through a window in time, he learned of the alternate timeline in which he was akumatized by Hawkmoth, and learned the truth about his father: he was secretly Hawkmoth this entire time. Adrien was traumatised from this, but kept going.

This eventually led to learning of Marinette's plan to quit, having snapped and deciding to leave the fate of Paris in Lila's hands because "that's what Paris deserved".

Adrien spent a whole week going through all the information, every memory, every significant event, every bit of the life of Marinette Dupain Cheng, then another week to take it all in.

By the end, Adrien was horrified, but he was in a way grateful for what he had learned. Adrien felt sympathy for Marinette and why she felt she had to quit, but at the same time he could not condone her plan to leave Paris to Lila, nor her insults towards her former friends and family, especially with how she blamed them for being akumatized. He also realised that he did in some way play a role in her downfall (especially with his flirting and not trying harder to reach out more), and he did feel somewhat ashamed with himself for not noticing Marinette's feelings until it was too late (though given that Marinette had been somewhat possesive of himself with her stalking and attempts to control his love life, maybe it would have been a toxic relationship that was best to not have happened).

With all that being said, Adrien decided he would take matters into his own hands. With the Miracle Box now in his hands and with the Guardianship belonging to him (after threatening Lila with being Cataclysmed), Adrien decided he would make a new Order of the Guardian sect in Paris, with himself as the leader. He would use the recovered Miraculous to make a team that could not only help Paris, but all of France, choosing people that could handle the stress of being a hero since he could pay them for their services. Since Marinette no longer wanted to be the Guardian due to stress, Adrien would use what he had learnt to ensure he wouldn't make the same mistakes as the former Ladybug. He apologised to Marinette, but told her that he would be taking care of the Miraculouses now.

Of course, this all passed through the increasing erratic Marinette's ears. All she wanted were the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous back so she could make her wish and bring everything under her control, all while ensuring everyone suffers. Plain and simple (to her broken mind at least).

Adrien, of course, politely refused, since Marinette had no right to them considering her plans threatened the very reality they were in and that she had given up the box to someone untrustworthy. It was only once Marinette attempted to attack her former partner that Adrien transformed (without uttering phrase, having mastered his powers by this point) and restrained the insane former heroine, at which point he gave up being polite and threatened Marinette with ruining her newfound life with Luka. Adrien did not want to do so, but he would if she kept going with her foolish quest. Marinette wanted her peace? Fine. But she would not threaten others into acting the way that she wanted.

"...Screw you Chat Blanc" Marinette uttered, having finally lost whatever mask of sanity she had before, eyes growing increasingly erratic. "Just like last time, you tried to destroy me and all of Paris to get the wish, now you'll do it again because I walked away from you, right?"

"Now that was just a low blow..." Adrien replied tersely, the comment about the akumatization getting under his skin. "But since we are going for low blows, what gives you the right to blame others for being akumatized? Prin-cess Jus-tice?"

"Th-that wasn't real! YOU'RE LYING!" Marinette yelled.

Smiling a sad smile, Adrien pulled out the Rabbit Miraculous, quickly showing a window in time before Marinette could react. With no words being spoken by the Agreste, Marinette could only watch as her former self fell under the sway of Scarlet Moth, having no means to resist the akumatization, being moments away from removing her earrings before the akumatization process was cancelled, not by Marinette's own strength, but by the slim chance of Nathalie falling ill.

"Of course, you wouldn't be so quick to judge others if you remebered being almost akumatized. But you gave up your memories, didn't you? All so you could be happy."

Marinette fell to her knees, having gotten cataconic from the truth.

"You know ... that apology I said to you before." Adrien continued "I don't think I mean it anymore. Not to this version of you at least. The Ladybug... the Marinette that used to be before you was someone I considered a friend, a person that ended up being broken by the responsibilities of things she couldn't handle on her own. Yet at the same time, she tried to push people away because of it out of a belief she had to sort things on her own. Had I apologised earlier, had I tried harder to reach out to her... perhaps this entire debacle wouldn't have happened, and she could have retired in peace rather than in anger. Then again, I'm not the same person I was before. I grew up. But you didn't, did you? You're just someone who has no idea about what Paris has gone through. You only saw the last letter of a broken woman and decided to take her words to heart, laughing at the suffering of those who once relied on her to feel safe against a manipulative man, blaming them for their own akumatizations despite having no control over themselves, feeling like what they deserved was justified despite having no memory of what they did to you. You're just some echo of Marinette, an echo that has no memory of anything except her hate, her suffering, and her desire for revenge. You didn't grow up. You just ran away while getting to enjoy the spoils of doing so. You didn't grow up. You didn't change."

Marinette could say nothing, having gone entirely blank. Adrien called security into his office and had her escorted off the premises.

Sighing, Adrien went to a portrait of his mother and pulled it back, revealing a small mural of photos, the main one being a smiling picture of a younger and more innocent Ladybug and Chat Noir. Adrien did not know if the emotions Ladybug showed in that photo were real, but he would cherish them regardless, even after she was gone.

Adrien left inside the mural a single yellow rose, before getting back to work.

Plagg in the show: Chaotic and snarky little shit constantly encouraging Adrien to be who he wants to be. Also he loves cheese so much and often uses cheese metaphors in failed attempts at wisdom. Also he's the most loyal Kwami you will ever meet and gets attached quickly, as seen in his interactions with Zoe.

After She Got Married.

Chat was in a foul mood. He watched as the old rusty shelf turned to ash in front of him. Green light washed over him as Plagg popped out of his ring.

"Kid, you need to calm down." Plagg stated as Adrien took another drink from his beer. "And I don't need you wielding destructive powers drunk, Adrien!"

"Just shut up and eat your fucking Cheese plagg." Adrien grunted. The tiny god was the last person-thing-being- Adrien wanted to hear from so he emptied the bottle of beer and smashed it on the ground

"Plagg, claws out.'" Chat Noir looked around the abandoned warehouse he had been coming to for years. It was running out of things inside for him to destroy. "Cataclysm" and he touched the last metal shelving unit and watched it turn to dust.

Part of him wished Bunnyx would pop out of her burrow and take him back in time to the day that had changed his life forever. The day in the rain he hesitated to tell Marinette he loved her. To kiss her, the day he lost her. Plagg popped out of the ring and Arien stood there, silently reaching in his pocket for another piece of cheese for the kwami. The brief transformation had taken his buzz from the beer off, so he reached for another one. Before he could open it, an akuma alert went off on his phone, Adrien looked at Plagg and made up his mind. After they defeated this akuma, he was telling Ladybug everything.

Fuck secret identities .

He loved her and needed to be with her. If he couldn't have Marinette, he'd move heaven and Earth and walk through hell itself to be with LadyBug.

Chat Noir was off his game tonight. Where was his lady? It wasn't like her to not show up.

"Chat!" Scarabella shouted at him, "The akuma is in his belt!"

The akuma, angry to discover his partner was having an affair, was going after couples. "If I can 't have love, no one can!" The akuma shouted as he shot another ray of light from his hand. Chat barely got out of the way. Maybe he didn't want to. Maybe he couldn't love. He vaulted on his baton and was able to call on his cataclysm and raked his hand, not careful of his claws at all, digging into the akuma's back, causing him to howl in pain. At least the akuma could scream in pain. Inside, Chat was dying. Scarabella purified the akuma and sent up the cure. Chat was on her and pinned her against the wall. "Where is she?"" He screamed at her.

"She-She 's -taking some time off, she asked me to cover for her,' 'Scarabella stuttered.

"Why didn't she tell me?!" He shouted.

"She tried! You've been nowhere to be found!" she screamed back, "She said you've skipped Patrols, disappearing after akuma battles, you're not responding to messages!" Scarabella's earrings beeped. "I have to go. You've got me for the next two weeks, chat. I hope whatever issues bother you, you can work it out. I really do." Scarabella said, before swinging away. Scarabella landed on her balcony before detransforming back into Alya. Chat was really odd tonight. She glanced at her husband, who had fallen back asleep, was stirring awake now Alya was home. Tikki flew off towards the cookie jar. Alya went over to the miracle box and grabbed the turtle miraculous out as well. "Babe?" Alya called.

Nino woke up and turned the light on his bedside table and sat up. "What is it?" She handed the bracelet to him, "I don't like how Chat acted tonight once he saw it was me. He was violent. He cornered me and yelled at me."

Nino looked worriedly at his wife, and kissed her forehead, "Say no more. I'll back you up at the next akuma attack."

Alya sighed and muttered to herself ,"Honestly, I don't know how Marinette puts up with him." She took her glasses off and settled back into bed.

The next two weeks passed by agonizingly slowly for Adrien. His thoughts were with Ladybug and her vacation counting the days until shereturned. He walked into the Gabriel offices and saw Marinette back, her team of designers surrounding her as she showed pictures on her phone. He leaned against the doorway, trying to appear happy even though his heart was breaking.

"Oh Marinette! You were the most beautiful bride!" her seamstress squealed.

She really was, Adrien thought bitterly to himself.

"So where did you go for your honeymoon?" another designer asked.

Mariette smiled and flipped to another photo in her album. 'We went on a Disney cruise in the Caribbean. Luka loved Ducktales as a kid and he loves Donald Duck." The pictures showed the couple young and in love, completely enamored with each other.

Bile taste rose in Adrien's mouth and he excused himself. He fought back the tears. And failed as they streamed down his cheeks.

She should have married him. It should have been their honeymoon they both just returned from. The jealousy got to the better of him and he told his assistant he wasn't feeling well and he was going home. Instead he transformed into Chat Noir and headed to his warehouse. Sometimes, it just helped to break shit.

He had several containers to destroy. The alert was a welcome distraction, but it was not the same without his Lady. He gave a heavy sigh and leapt away toward the akuma.

By the time chat arrived at the battle, Chat was overjoyed to see Ladybug had returned. Ignoring the akuma, he vaulted over to Ladybug, grabbed her without a second thought, and vaulted away. He wasn't missing out any longer. LadyBug screamed as she suddenly was flying. Chat set them down several blocks away.

"Chat what are you do-" Ladybug started but chat crashed his mouth onto hers capturing her into a forced kiss. Her scream was muffled under his mouth

She pushed him away. "chat-what the hell? We have an akuma!"

" Just I had to. I won't lose you too!" Chat shouted. Ladybug scoffed at him and then zipped away. To fight the akuma. It was one of their faster fights. When Chat held his fist out for their traditional fist bump, Ladybug glared at him and said," Meet me at the rendezvous point in 10 minutes. We need to talk about what just happened." She took the akuma victim and zipped away.

Chat was fuming as he paced back and forth.

"Why did she react like that?" Chat fumed.

"Maybe because you kissed her without permission?" A male voice spoke. He turned and saw Viperion strumming on his lyre and lounging against the wall. "I think she didn't call you in, snake," Chat snarled.

"But she always does," Viperion stated matter of factly. "I just let myself be seen when I'm needed, but I'm always there." Viperion cut him a knowing look as Ladybug landed on the rooftop, visibly upset. she had been crying.

"Milady-"Chat started but Ladybug cut him off.

"Chat you need to listen-"

Chat's anger boiled over. "No you listen!" He got in her face, "You disappeared for two weeks, leaving me with a cheap imitation of you."

"Scarbella did more than fine!" Ladybug yelled. Viperion came to her side and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I can't do this anymore, V.''

'I know, LB, " he said, giving her a comforting hug.

"Hey, bugaboo, just so you know, he's married now, you know," Chat said, crossing his arms, glaring at the snake hero.

"I know, Chat." Ladybug said, looking at Viperion with love, but Chat failed to notice

"I lost her," Chat said, resigned.

"Lost who?" Ladybug asked. "The girl I loved. I was so blinded by my infatuation with you, I didn't see she was right in front of me the entire time. Now, all that is left is your Ladybug. I can't lose you too. Please let me love you the way you deserve."

"But I have someone like that already. Chat, that time I took off,"' she hesitated, "Chat I was on my-"she glanced at Viperion " on our honeymoon."

The word shattered chat.

He saw the way LadyBug and Viperion looked at each other. Viperion was cheating on his wife. He was cheating on Marinette! "How could you? "Chat asked incredulously. Viperion did not respond, but simply shook his head in disbelief.

"Chat, what do you mean? I've always told you I was in love with someone else. " Ladybug said.

"But he's married to Marinette! " Chat screamed.

Ladybug sighed," Yes Chat, I know."

Chat's knees stopped working, collapsing, as the two shared a kiss. This was not happening.

Viperion was Luka.

Luka married Marinette.

Viperion was kissing LadyBug, then that meant-. "Marinette?" Chat gasped out.

"Now you know," she said, in a monotone voice.

"I've lost you twice,"he said.

"Chat, what do you mean?" Ladybug asked. "Claws in," Chat whispered and Adrien was suddenly in his place.

Ladybug gasped," Adrien."

He nodded. "I loved Ladybug for so long that it blinded me to you, I fell in love with you, but I was always holding out hope that well, you'd return my feelings."

Ladybug knelt beside him. "Adrien,-you're Chat, you are my best friend. At one time, yes I had a teenage crush on you, but those feelings went away when I got with Luka."

"I lost you." Adrien cried.

"Adrien, I was never yours to begin with. It was always Luka." Ladybug said.

Adrien sighed "Thank you Ladybug." They hugged Viperion and Ladybug went home, leaving a devastated Adrien on the rooftop .

They collapsed in their bed, exhausted. "This whole time, Chat has been Adrien. " Marinette sighed. Her husband shrugged." But you knew that already." Marinette supplied,

"I've found out once or twice over the years" Luka said, rubbing his wife's shoulders. "Let it go,"Luka said, giving his wife a passionate kiss. "I love you Marinette Couffaine.'' They showed their love for each other the way newlyweds did, together, passionately and afterwards fell asleep in each other's arms.

Structural engineers were called out to the industrial district the next morning when an abandoned warehouse suddenly collapsed overnight.

Ladybug found a certain miraculous on the rendezvous point later that afternoon. She briefly shed tears at the loss of her partner, but she looked in the direction of her new home, and smiled, she had a new partner now.

One who knew all her secrets and loved all of her, not just her mask.

The ffaw trio, but as gym leaders!

This was SO much fun to do, no matter how hard i wanted to die while drawing in this style haha. I'm obsessed with pokemon right now so I thought this was fitting! It was interesting seeing how different artists on the team shaded and colored, so i tried an amalgamation of it all basically. I mostly tried imitating Take's style with some tweaks.

More details below!

So, here's a quick run down:

Ladybug:

She specialises in bug-type pokemon. I imagine her gym having a colorful and bright aesthetic, with round arenas for battling and seats for anyone hoping to watch. I can see it having a little cafe connecting to her parents bakery. It's probably in lumiose city, it's literally Paris.

As expected, Ladybug's pokemon is Ledian! Her Ledian is basically tikki, but a little more prone to anger since it's a fighting type.

Her other pokemon are Butterfree, Ribombee, and Kricketot.

She started battling and training to become a gym leader to help her parents' keep their bakery open, but eventually fell in love with it.

People come for battle, but stay for macaroons :)

Chat Noir:

He specialises in dark type pokemon, though he does have a fondness for water types as well.

His gym is situated somewhere downtown in a city. It's pretty big, and has a very skate park-esque feel with all the graffiti everywhere. I can see it having been an indoor skatepark that he renovated.

His main is a little Purrloin! He has an older Liepard, but he found the little guy gorging on some cheese he decided to take it in. Yes this Purrloin is Plagg :3

The rest of chat's team includes Xoroark, Absol, and Theivul. All in all a pretty scary team, but don't let it fool you they all caught his eye because of their fur

He always dreamt of training pokemon and making friends with them, but his parents never allowed him to interact with any other than the furfrou's family friends brought along.

Strangely though, after he finally got the chance to interact with pokemon, he found himself understanding them on a deeply emotional level... almost like they where speaking to him.

'Oh well, I'm sure it's nothing. Come on Zoroark we've got training to do!'

No use lingering on such silly thoughts, right?

Cigognelle:

For my darling daughter, she very obviously is a flying-type gym leader.

Despite how she likes to think, she's her mother's daughter and those high standards got passed down. All the battlers in her gym are top notch, only the best of the best. It all kinda backfired on her, since barely any trainers end up reaching her now. Poor girl is bored out of her mind lol

This gave her a sorta scary reputation, much like chat.

Her gym is outdoors, so that there's enough room for her pokemon to fly around. It's like a large patio, with a wooden roof for pokemon to perch.

Her partner is a Bombirdier, of course. He's a wise old thing, and prefers to sit back and watch battles rather than fight them.

The rest of her team includes Swanna, Altaria, and Articuno.

She likes to make sure her gym is always clean and pretty, her favorite pass time is taking photos of pokemon! Seeing them in the heat of battle, low on health but high in morale as they throw one last Aerial Ace, winning the fight.

ok but the way Adrien is actually more suited to the Ladybug miraculous and Marinette is more suited to the Black Cat miraculous is crazy

Adrien/Chat Noir as he is is lovely, of course, and Adrien as a sheltered kid craves the freedom and spontaneity of Chaos, and he revels in it. But, as someone who was deprived of everyday Chaos, he craves it too much and occasionally needs to be reminded of when its too much or too far

Marinette/Ladybug does remarkably well under the pressure shes constantly dealing with, and shes incredibly reliable for Paris as a whole and the team of heroes she recruits. But Marinettes neurosis is exaggerated by the power of Creation and the role as The One Who Needs to be Infallible, her fingers are in a million pies, shes walking a tightrope and one mistake means EVERYTHING.

If adrien had the ladybug miraculous, instead of being a tightrope, it would be like handing him the reins for once in his life, giving him control he never had, letting him feel needed instead of desperate for his father’s attention and often worrying that ladybug didnt need him anymore. All of Paris needs him, HIM, and the people love him because of his actions and not an image constructed by his father. Generally, instead of the vaguely rebellious undertone it initially has for chat noir, it will feel very virtuous for him, give him purpose that he Chooses, plus! Tikki would be sooo good for him! He’s self deprecating whenever he’s not pleasing his father (for senti reasons ofc) but Tikki would always shut that shit down. He gets a bit of a backbone! He can’t immediately enforce boundaries but he gets there quickly, ducking away from clinging arms or hands, taking on his lessons like hero training, generally choosing to enjoy life in spite of his fathers efforts to craft him in whatever image. Not afraid to lie to his dad about plans, or dating kagami. Every time adrien would waver between something he wants or needs, tikki is quick to calm him, and tell him to listen to his heart, that there is no wrong answer, just pick the one he would regret not choosing, and hed get so much more confident!

With the Black Cat miraculous, marinette would be able to harness her natural chaos! Obsessed with her. She’s clumsy and forgetful, her anxiety takes things out of proportion a lot, but plagg is the ‘what the fuck ever’ that marinette needs to give her perspective! Instead of constantly being encouraged to see the absolute best in everyone and to always be the bigger person, shes allowed to be mad? Talk shit with plagg, him offering to put smelly cheese in chloes locker and marinette telling him not to waste his good cheese. Shes also allowed to be the Helper, which she loves to do, is pivotal to her character, being able to support and put her excess kinetic energy to use. She gets to be silly, because the whole of reality isnt on her back!

If they had these miraculous from the beginning it would be so different but still interesting, i think!

Adrien; "Plagg, am I loved?"

Plagg: "Of course, kitten. You are loved."

Adrien: sits in silence thinking about his father. "Did my dad love me?"

Plagg; "He did, in a very strange, wrong way." He watches Adrien with sadness in his tiny body.

Adrien: "Why am I hard to love?"

Plagg: "You are not. I promise you are loved."

Adrien: he scoffs and shakes his head. "You are the kwami of destruction. What do you know about love?"

Plagg; "I know what love is. I have seen how love can destroy a person. How a person can destroy love. But I have also seen how love can repair a person. And how a person can love with whatever little is left in them." He flies infront of Adriens face to get his eye contact. "And you are the best holder of the miraculous of destruction because you have so much love in you, even though you've been dealt with one of the worst hands I've seen, kid. And yet, through it all, your heart is still in the right place. You have seen the dark side of love and prevailed through it. You have shown what good love can do, and you've seen first hand the madness of love." His eyes softened and he went to nuzzle Adrien. "I'm so proud of you, kid. And I love you, kitten. You are a special one and I will always be here for you. Especially with cheese." He winked, playfully knowing Adrien needed it. He can be serious when needed, and he can let the care show in various ways. Adrien let out a watery laugh.

Adrien: His eyes glistens as he looks at the black cat kwami that has shown him unconditional love in the time they had spent. Even if he wanted to joke it was for cheese. "Thank you, Plagg. I wish you were my father instead." He rubbed some fresh tears away. "Is that bad?"

Different nonnie from the Tikki-Xuppu person, but what you said about Tikki’s personality fitting Order better than Creation made me think about how Pollen would’ve be a better fit for Creation symbolism-wise over Tikki given how much bees better fit that image over ladybugs with their beeswax, honey and hive-making, not to mention the intimate relationship humans of various cultures have had with bees for literal millennia. Even the restoration of Miraculous Ladybug fits bees better due to the connotations of pollination and how essential bees are for the world’s ecosystem. In a universe where Pollen was the kwami of Creation with Tikki’s canon powers (though with bee-theming of course) to Plagg’s Destruction, how do you think things would’ve gone with Marinette and Adrien while having their canon personalities? How do you think they would have played off of each other with their canon personalities?

Before we begin, I want to note that my answer is probably going to be at least a little biased by @zoe-oneesama Scarlet Lady comic because Pollen has a big role in that and Zoe's read on Pollen pretty closely matches mine. Do with that what you will.

This is the first Kwami swap that I could see working. Plagg's personality is so iconic that it's hard to imagine anyone being an improvement, but Tikki is pretty generic. While she has a clear personality, she has no real interests or hobbies that make her stand out. She's mostly just here to be cute and act as the writer's mouthpiece. While I hate that for her and think she deserves better, it does mean that booting her and replacing her with a different Kwami doesn't feel like you're breaking a core element of the show so long as her replacement plays off the other characters well.

We don't see much of Pollen in canon, so it's hard to get a great read on her, but she her love of calling Chloe "my Queen" and the fact that Pollen is a bee give me vibes of a loyal, devoted Kwami who thinks that her Chosen is the best thing ever no matter what. Compare that to Plagg who delights in tormenting his Chosen and there's major potential for some excellent banter and fun contrasting moments, which is what Tikki's replacement would need to be able to do. Tikki and Plagg's contrasting dynamic is a lot of fun and you wouldn't want to lose it. Pollen and Plagg's dynamic would be different, but in a similar enough vein that I think it could work. Which is actually a point in Pollen's favor. If she was just another Tikki, then there would be no point in making the switch.

While Tikki is often dishing out lectures, her most valuable role is building Marinette up in moments when Marinette is feeling down. Pollen should be able to do that no problem. If anything, Pollen may be a little too zealous in supporting Marinette, but since Marinette isn't often shown to listen to Tikki's advice, that's not really an issue. It could even be a new source of comedy where Marinette comes up with insane plans and Pollen hypes her up while the audience watches in fascinated horror. It could be a lot of fun and also give Alya a better chance to fill the voice-of-reason role that she's occasionally allowed to have. That's one of the many awkward things about Alya knowing now. Her and Tikki often fill the same role on the civilian side since Tikki isn't presented as a wise, ancient mentor who knows things that these kids don't.

I especially love the idea of a Kwami swap where Adrien is praised to death and then refuses to give Pollen back because he needs this right now, okay? His lady can have the cheese loving gremlin for a few days while Pollen floats after him, calling him a Queen and praising his every move. Maybe Pollen even starts sneaking into his backpack and leaving him whatever her favorite treats are as a little sign that he's appreciated, leading Plagg to get all territorial, which further validates Adrien. (I just really like comedy that has a sweet undertone, okay?)

Since we don't have a full understanding of Pollen's personality, I won't speculate further than that as I'm trying to avoid getting too far into the realms of headcanon, but I do really like this idea and think it could be a lot of fun. I even like the idea of Pollen as Creation because bees do make more sense than ladybugs from a theme perspective. Plus Ladybee was such an iconic look, one of the few good unifies, and a version of that without the red would still be fabulous!

Adrie: I can't believe you agreed to go out with me,Marinette.

Marinette (giggles): Me? You're the one who's the top international model of the Gabriel brand, and an award winning fencer to boot. Don't kid yourself. If anything, I'm the one that got the shock out of my life when you asked me out.

Adrien: (just smiles, shakes his head and takes her hand)

Adrien: No. I don't think you understand. All those things you mentioned don't matter. Not to me. But my best friend going out with me when I thought she disliked me, I can't begin to word how much it means to me. I meant it when I said you're the first real girl friend I got. Well, there's Chloe but you know, she's been there since we were kids. She's like family at this point.

Marinette: Uhm... you mean your friend who happens to be a girl, right?

Adrien (blushes and pulls away): Oh! Of course! I'm sorry, Marinette. I worded it wrong. Not that I do not wish that you're my- I meant to say princess that I- It's just that was presumptuous and I-

Marinette: (just watches her long time crush stutter, unable to stop a bright beam that threatens to tear her face in half)

Adrien (groans): Oh, Plagg kill me now. I'm just embarrassing myself, am I not?

Marinette: (freezes)

Marinette: Did you just say Plagg?

Adrien (eyes wide): Oh, uhm, my- my cat! See, I got a cat, you know, for company. He's pretty much the only one who listens to my rambling at home. Although, he has this weird addiction to stinky cheese. I wish he'd stop eating it.

Marinette:

Adrien: You've gotten quiet, Marinette. Did I say something offensive? I swear I didn't mean to-

Marinette: You're cool! I mean we're cool! I mean, everything's alright. Nothing's wrong. It's not like there's only one cat in Paris that's named Plagg who just happens to like stinky cheese and who happens to be Tikki's partner in crime and-

Marinette: (freezes at hearing Adrien gasp)

Adrien: (stops breathing)

Marinette: (forces on a smile)

Marinette (suddenly yells): CATS! Yes cats, because cats are totally cool and are different from kwamis which I should know nothing about, except I do because kwamis and ughhhh!! Kill me now. I blame Plagg.

Adrien: What?

Marinette: (deflates like a balloon)

Adrien: (has both eyes twinkling so beautifully)

Adrien (takes her hand and bows down to plant it a kiss, as though he's done a thousand times): My lady.

Marinette (who is very good at embarrassing herself, panics): My Chat, no, I mean, cat, I mean my cat, I meant Chat, I meant Adrien! (inserts a groan) Stop me, please.

Adrien (smiles and blushes like a tomato): You can, you know. I mean, it's true, isn't it? I am your Chat, my Marinette...my Ladybug.

There's the sound of Marinette's balloon popping, but the wide grin that's threatening to cut her face in half is an undeniable reflection of a happy heart.

Marinette: (squeaks when he pulls out a rose from out of nowhere and holds it out to her)

Adrien (suddenly gets shy, and raises a hand to scratch the back of his head in nervous tick): Is that- is that okay?

Marinette (who hates it when he doubts himself, acted on impulse and pulls him by the arm to smack a kiss on his cheek): Yup! Totally. One hundred percent. If that's what you want.

Adrien.exe stopped working.

And like in all fanfics, here enters a pair of hungry kwamis...

Plagg (flies out of Adrien's pocket, eyes rolling and tone dripping with sarcasm): Oh just kiss already!!!

Tikki (flies out from Marinette's purse and lands on perfect aim to hit her partner): PLAGG! You stupid black cat! Don't ruin their moment!!
