About CASTLEVANIA: NOCTURNE

France, 1792 - the height of the French Revolution. In a remote part of western France, the counter-revolutionary aristocracy has forged an alliance with a terrifying Vampire Messiah, who promises to ‘eat the sun’ and unleash an army of vampires and nightcreatures to crush the revolution and enslave humanity. Annette, a sorceress from the Caribbean, seeks out Richter Belmont, last descendant of the long-fabled family of vampire hunters, to lead the resistance.

From Showrunners Kevin Kolde (CASTLEVANIA) and Clive Bradley (TRAPPED), CASTLEVANIA: NOCTURNE is the next installment of the CASTLEVANIA universe. Bradley also serves as Creator/Writer. #148 El Regreso de Mary Poppins (2018)

Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt) llega otra vez a la vida de la familia Banks en el momento preciso, Michael (Ben Whishaw) y Jane (Emily Mortimer) Banks, siguen unidos como hermanos, sobre todo, cuando Michael pierde a su esposa un año antes y se queda solo con sus tres hijos: Georgie, Annabel y John. Los hermanos Banks van a perder su casa familiar por retrasarse en el pago de la hipoteca y que ahora el banco está más interesado en quedarse la casa que en que los hermanos Banks puedan pagar.

William Weatherall (Colin Firth) ha sustituido a su tío como jefe del banco y está interesado en quitarle a los hermanos Banks su casa familiar, a las espaldas de Michael trama todo lo necesario para hacerlo y que él no se dé cuenta, pese a que sus hijos dudan directamente de él.

Mary Poppins llega para traer buenos recuerdos a los hermanos y hacerse cargo de los hijos de Michael, lo que al principio les cuesta, pero luego se adaptan perfectamente a ella y a Jack (Lin-Manuel Miranda) que trabaja como sereno. El cual encaja perfectamente con Jane Banks.

Las aventuras continúan en la vida de los niños, donde Mary consigue que las cosas tediosas del día sean unos momentos inolvidables que forme parte de la mente de los niños de por años, pero tal y como ella dice, hasta que se hagan mayores, porque los adultos lo olvidan todo.

Los hermanos Banks buscan los papeles que atribuyan, que poseen letras del banco de alto valor en el banco y podrán pagar la deuda directa sobre la casa, pero pese a que la buscan por todos lados, encontrando recuerdos valiosos, haciendo las aventuras más memorables.

Gracias a Mary, los niños viven su infancia de forma plena, y mientras Michael y Jane pueden poner la casa patas arriba para poder salvar su casa familiar, y aunque les dan hasta el viernes a media noche, les resulta imposible hacerse cargo de los pagos.

En sus aventuras van a ver a la prima de Mary, Topsy (Meryl Streep) que se muestra amable y dispuesta a ayudarles.

Georgie, el hijo menor, encuentra una vieja cometa y unos dibujos antiguos de su padre, y decide usar ese dibujo para arreglar la cometa antigua de su padre. Michael, abrumado, se encuentra en la misma circunstancias que su padre años atrás, dándose cuenta de que sus hijos le molestan y le hacen perder los nervios y no se reconoce. Por eso, cuando se alegra de que Georgie haya arreglado la cometa, se da cuenta de que el dibujo estaba dibujado encima de los papeles que buscaban.

Buscan a William para poder saldar su deuda en el banco, pero lo cierto es que como no está interesado en que recuperen su casa, hace todas las triquiñuelas posibles para que pierdan y casi lo logra si no llega a ser por el tio de William, que vuelve a su puesto, Sr. Dawes Jr (Dick Van Dyke)

Los Banks recuperan su casa, gracias al Sr. Dawes y su amabilidad, y el recuerdo de las dos libras que Michael guardó en una cuenta que da por saldada el crédito sobre la casa. Por lo que todo acaba bien, todos son felices, y Mary Poppins tiene que volver a desaparecer, prometiendo volver.

“It’s… not what I expected Fairyland to look like.”

“You said you wanted the safest route.”

“Well, yes, but — where are the woods? The forests? The mushrooms with gnomes living in them?”

“Yeah, right — look, all that twinkly enchanted forest crap was made by humans who came here in the 1800s. Capital-R Romantic artists. They hated industrialization and loved nature, and they wanted an escape from the modern world.

“And Fairyland loves humans who want to escape from the modern world. It makes for easy bait. So when artists came here in the 1800s, it made itself look exactly like what they wanted it to.”

“And people want this?”

She gestured out to a world painted in pastel shades of pink and green, and lit with a blaze of neon lights. Every surface gleamed and twinkled with starburst sparkles, and the air smelled sticky sweet with a chemical whiff of hairspray.

Every building was neatly geometrical. Every window was a view into a Norman Rockwell painting. On the wind she could hear the sounds of music and the words: “Sandman, I’m so alone, I’ve got nobody to call all my own…”

It was like being dunked headfirst into a bucket of the 1950s.

But… but there was a weirdness to it. The children playing in Davy Crockett caps and cowboy hats looked like goblins. The gleaming cars with glittering tailfins had huge, sad, colourless eyes instead of headlights.

A gaggle of beehived housewives stood on a corner and watched her pass with glittering, hungry eyes. One of them parted perfectly painted lips and licked its lion’s teeth.

The guide shrugged. “Of course. Every now and then someone falls into Fairyland who loves mid-twentieth century Americana, who wishes they could go back to ‘the good old days.’ Fairyland opens its arms and offers them a world where things are simple, where pixies wear poodle skirts and elves wear aprons, and men are men and women are women and all the jukeboxes in all the soda shops play Mr. Sandman.

“And then this place eats them alive.”

She swallowed. “But it’s safe for us?”

“Do you dream about going back to the fifties?”

“God no.”

“Then it’s safe.”
