Amidst all the it's (gonna be) May memes, I'm trying pistachio macarons. Unlike the last 3, this one comes from the LeilaLove macaron multipack I bought.

These aren't nearly as soft as the gelato macarons, but theyre still soft, though these also have a bit of chewiness to them. They're sweet with a pistachio flavor. I think I prefer nutty flavors to be accompanied by saltiness rather than sweetness. These are just alright for me.

My mom impulse bought some macarons from home goods yesterday and ive been trying to figure out what they taste like other than "not great"

Ive figured it out

Flavored lip gloss

Theyre super chalky and taste like flavored lip gloss

Honestly that makes them slightly easier to eat. I used to just sit in my room and eat that shit straight from the tube as a kid. The texture was better tho. Still would not recommend.
