Goldfish hybrid bf that spent a lot of his life neglected. People already know very little about hybrids, but combine that with the misinformation around goldfish and you have a disaster waiting to happen.

Pigeon hybrid bf thats seen as a pest. Most people take pity on him, but still they do nothing but stare as he struggles to live without the care and affection of humans.

Rat hybrid bf that’s also seen as a pest, but is hated and often chased off. Attempts at his life made daily means he’s not trusting. He’s in survival mode and it’ll be hard to get past the walls he’s put up. Extremely intelligent.

Quail hybrid bf that’s a cute thing, who had been pampered by his previous owners… then found out he was going to be eaten. Now he’s out in the wild after escaping, trying to find someone else to take care of him.

DPxDC Prompt #8

Danny was practicing shapeshifting with Amorpho when he felt the tug of a summoning and heard the distant words drifting into his mind.

Normally Danny would just ignore it. Or if it seems like this was a group that needed some sense scared into them, he'd shift into his Horror form and terrify them into never pulling this shit again. But then he heard them mention live sacrifices, and Danny just had to step in before that happened. So he let the summoning pull him on through, briefly forgetting he was shapeshifted into a... less than ideal form.

Danny lands in the circle right on top of one of the intended sacrifices, a group of people in weird outfits and, is that guy green? Irrelevant. Immediately Danny on knows something is very wrong. His powers feel muted and far away. His form suddenly feels, locked somehow.

He casts his gaze across the summoning circle and, to his horror, recognizes the binding ritual. These cultists wanted to bind and seal him in one of these mortal's bodies after they were sacrificed. But they fucked up the spell. Or maybe Danny fucked it up by coming in too soon? Irrelevant again.

What matters is the spell went sideways. Instead of locking Danny into one of the sacrifice's bodies, it locked him into his own form while pulling most of his abilities just out of reach. Now he's here. In the shape of- He's stuck as-

"Dude, is that a pigeon? Did the Ghost King, like, send you to voicemail?"

How a voice so warm can freeze your blood is a true wonder. You move mechanically, turning around like a rusted cog to face the sound's origin. The intruder has made no effort to blend in. Whereas you're wearing business casual attire, he's dressed like he's anticipating a night on the town.

Initially, you stride right past him, fiddling with the settings in your office to turn the windows opaque. It's a useless precaution. A curious crowd of bystanders have already gathered in the hallway, from the rank and file IPC to your superiors. All wondering, no doubt, about why a man as important as Aventurine decided to stop by and make a personal visit.

"What—" You practically choke on your incredulity, "What lapse in judgment, complete and utter detachment from reality—"

Aventurine stops your tirade prematurely by waving a piece of paper around.

"Trying to transfer when your boss has taken such a liking to you is a shortsighted idea."

The words reverberate with a different timbre than when your friend spoke them. You think to ask how he knows about that conversation, then glance around, warily eyeing your surroundings. The hardware you could afford on your salary to sweep for listening devices pales in comparison to his resources. Who knows, he may have commissioned new technology for the sole purpose of keeping tabs on you.

"... Are you here to humiliate me?"

It's supposed to come out as a jab, but the tightness in your throat dulls the inquiry's edges.

Aventurine folds up the proof of your treachery and tucks it inside his fur-trimmed jacket. "You're misreading my intentions. I'm here to do what any half-decent superior would."

He leaves a respectable distance upon approaching you, as if that compensates for the other ways he's invaded your life.

"Let's renegotiate the terms of your contract. You're obviously unsatisfied with something, if you'd prefer to work elsewhere..." he leans down, nearing your eye level. "... PTO, maybe? How does some time off sound? Generous, right?"

He brushes an invisible spec of lint off your shoulder and keeps his hand there. For such a light touch, it feels as if your body's going to crumble at any moment.

"Lucky for you, I won an all-expenses-paid vacation to Penacony. How about being my plus-one?"

Rose-headed Parakeets, or Pyrrhura rhodocephala live mostly in the northern region of Venezuela. They fly in large flocks and are usually found in cloud forests or forest edges and they eat many tropical fruits.

I'm not sure if I believe the "Wakaba Isshiki did unethical experiments" theory in the fandom, but I do think this is the biggest proof of it in-game:

The first explanation is that she did experiments by sending people into palaces and then testing what happens to them if the palace collapses. Which is messed up for obvious reasons.

The second explanation is that she did NOT test it, meaning she was just making shit up. Which is funny but also would make her a terrible scientist. This explanation is less believable because everything else about her research is too accurate.

There's also a theory that Wakaba did unethical experiments on Akechi specifically. I'm not sure I believe that, since the evidence for it is pretty shallow (like the featherman game scientist experimenting on grey pigeon). But this scene is once again the biggest argument you could make for that theory. The researcher in the image above refers to palaces by their correct term 'palaces', which they say was based on Wakaba's research. But that's only something you would know with firsthand experience of the metaverse. And the only person they know who could access the metaverse was Akechi (that we know of, but i dont think Shido would rely only on Akechi if there were other options).

So yeah this scene is very sus. It's most likely the writers didn't think too deep about the implications. There's no way they wanted Futaba's mom to be sketchy, right? But even if it's not intentional, the scenes and their implications still exist. So in conclusion those theories make sense, I get it, and I don't blame anyone for headcanoning them and having fun. And tbh anyone involved with cognitive psience was portrayed as some degree of unethical (maruki for example), maybe this is just on-brand

They had a bit of a chance encounter on a day where Blueblood was dealing with something that was very difficult and was so caught up in his emotions he didn’t even care that he was in the garden getting grass stans on his coat and Ditzy, with her natural impulse to cheer ponies up, didn’t even notice or care that she was flying into the palace gardens when she saw someone sat in the rain.

At first he was definitely going to call the castle guards to come apprehend this strange filly with the odd eyes who was intruding when this was the last moment he’d want to entertain any desperate debutantes, however she surprised him by not fawning or anything, not even caring about his status, just putting one of her fluffy wings up and asking if he needed somepony to lend an ear.

“Don’t let my eyes fool you, my ears work just fine!”

She was incredibly disarming and while he didn’t reveal everything about why he was upset, he found himself talking about his feelings to her. And she made such cheerful remarks, and was very comforting. In the end, he felt better and she came to check on him the next day, even sharing a blueberry muffin with him. He remarked that he’d never seen her around before, and that he wouldn’t mind terribly seeing her more often.

The rest, as they say, is history.

sometimes, i love people so much it feels impossible. unbearable. like if i loved them anymore, heart would just tear apart, would implode. the love is all encompassing. and the thing is, i wouldn't mind. dying does not mean much, i do not fear death, not if it is because of them. if i die loving them - loving you all - i would say that it is the best way to die. if i die loving you guys, my life has been content. to die loving you would be the best way to go. because in the end, loving you all was enough—it made my life worth living.

i would not mind death. i do not fear it. but then the latter is also true. i fear life. i have grown distasteful of it. how it reduces me to nothing but ash and spite and cobwebs or better times. how the difference between me and a dying person seems smaller by the minute. and sometimes, i love people so much i'll live for them. i'll brush my teeth and spite out toothpaste and not blood. and i'll put moisturizer on my face and leave my chapped lips unbitten. and i'll tug a sweater on myself and i'll compliment someone on their hat even if it isn't the weather for hats. and i'll pet someone's dog even though i'm afraid of dogs. and i'll water the plants and sing off-tune songs and i'll respond to texts even if it takes me a while. and i'll put stickers on the wall and realize their crooked but keep them there anyways because a crooked sticker is better than a half-ripped one and i'll tell my friends i love them everyday because i am not dead yet even if some days i feel like it, even if some days i wish i was.

i love these idiots, these people so much i would live for them. let the oxygen fill my lungs for them. let my veins and arteries carry blood for them. let my body move for them. i will become human for them, even if it destroys me. because loving them is the purest, easiest perhaps only thing that i have ever done.
