Pietra Dura | Marble Inlay Flooring

Let's have a look at how we perform marble inlay flooring.

  Marble Selection: we use white marble (makhrana) same stone that was used in the Taj Mahal. It gives a stunning look to your floor.

  Design Creation: The desired design is created by a skilled artist or designer. This can range from simple geometric patterns to intricate floral designs or even realistic landscapes. If our client wants to give his/her design, we can also make it.

  Semi-precious stones Cutting: The stones are cut into pieces of various sizes and shapes according to the design. This is a delicate process that requires precision and skill. We use several color combinations to make the floor attractive.

  Inlay Process: Semi-precious stones that we have shaped for a specific design will be kept on white marble and our worker will trace the design with the help of a machine and marble is dug out for that specific design. Then the semi-precious stones are embedded with an adhesive(aerolite).

  Polishing and Finishing: Once the inlay process is complete, the flooring is polished and finished to enhance its shine and durability.

The Sheesh Mahal, Lahore Fort, Punjab, Pakistan

Located within the Shah Burj block in northern-western corner of Lahore Fort. It was constructed under the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1631-32.

The ornate white marble pavilion is inlaid with pietra dura and complex mirror-work of the finest quality.

The hall was reserved for personal use by the imperial family and close aides.
