A homemade Giardiniera recipe, also known as Italian Pickled Vegetables, is a classic condiment you can easily make yourself and the flavor is so much better than store-bought. It's a great way to preserve vegetables for later use and is perfect on sandwiches and burgers, on an antipasto platter, as a ready-made side dish or as a healthful snack!

my due date for my baby is actually exactly my 5 year sober date. july 9. how insane is that
the doc came out, told me, and i literally went "shut the fuck up"
as the days draw nearer to my greatest artistic creation of all time, it feels like i'm back to being sixteen with the ebb and flow of surging emotions.
like, i've never wanted a cigarette or hard drugs more than i have right now. for obvious and not so obvious reasons, i'll never give in. hormones, man. they'll get ya with the erratic feelings
but the dreams.
now, when you quit using, you get these dreams. they were calming down for the most part but the last month or two i have been getting slapped with the most intense relapse dreams.
i had one whole night of dreaming i was trying to smoke crack, desperately, i might add, and not getting high at all. cause it's a dream. you can't. and dreamself gets mad and annoyed and keep trying.
i always wake up relieved to see my bedroom, my husband and feel somersaults in my stomach. thank god goes through my brain every time.
that annoying nagging feeling passes after an hour or two. you get that euphoric recollection of the shit. it's that because you only remember the good feelings about getting high and not all that stupid, mucky, dragging shit that comes before and after. desperation diving into self deprecation and withdrawal.
holy shit i don't miss that.
when i get those dreams, or get triggered by people who are high around me, sometimes i ask my husband, "you ever just go, damn why can't we do that?"
to which he always reminds me "our life is just too good"
and he's damn right.
