but for almost four years of my life, i thought i had found someone like me. somebody who liked the same things i do. someone who liked to read and who liked making jokes with esoteric references and who spent maybe too much time on the internet and who was absolutely a little bit pretentious. i don't know, something about that was powerful and addictive.

i keep thinking about our last conversation. about how i said - okay, enough is enough. you pushed me too far, you really hurt my feelings.

I think I’ve mentioned it before, but I just want to reemphasize that Izuku and Bakugou are very much best friends in this AU. Bakugou didn’t just buy him the console because he needed a healer, lol. He wanted to play with him. Moving into the dorms and seeing him less wasn’t something he liked.

This will come up later, but Bakugou did still bully him. They made amends when they were twelve, after Izuku lost his leg. As such, he’s had about four years of positive, supportive Izuku influence in his life. Because of that, I think he’d be a little bit more emotionally honest and vulnerable. I imagine he probably let the Bakusquad in a little faster than he did in canon.

super random thought, but does ray get to be spoiled by the SMC or at least lady pearl/deren as much as luvia? just curious since luvia's the one fronting most of the time😭 i can imagine she'd be pretty cautious around pearl knowing what happened in fortuna, so how does the latter try to gain her trust?

Ray is pretty skeptical with being a sugar baby. She only puts up with it because Luvia enjoys it a lot and she does what Luvia wants.

I guess you can consider Ray a sugar baby as well? But only to Deren because she still finds Lady Pearl to be a danger. It would take a very, very long time to regain the trust between Lady Pearl and Ray, but Ray will put up with Pearl’s spoils because she knows Luvia likes to be spoiled by Pearl.

Ray is fine with Deren and the other sugar mommies though. She will deny ever liking the spoils the mommies give her, but she secretly loves getting the extra money for Luvia in the endgame :)
