I remember when I heard a false rumor that Philip Seymore Hoffman was going to play the Penguin in The Dark Knight, and I think that’s still my ideal cast.

Mission: Impossible 3 is three times as action-packed!
Hey guys! I’m here to do a review on the movie “Mission: Impossible 3.” I love this movie because there’s a lot of action and thrills! The movie is about Ethan Hunt conflicting with a dangerous and sadistic gun dealer who threatens Ethan’s life and his fiancée in response. With the cast of Tom Cruise, Michelle Monaghan, Ving Rhames, Philip Seymore Hoffman, Billy Crudup, Jonathan Rhys Meyers,

I’m whatever about the Saltburn trailer, his accent didn’t sound neither here or there and his height is always distracting no matter what cause he’s just not the average height of normal actors or actresses. Whatever anyone feels about him, let’s keep it real, he just towers over people and that’s always distracting. I’ll probably wait till Saltburn is on streaming 😂
Lol😆
Yea, so far the trailer isn't really interesting me. The premise sounded better than the trailer imo lol. Def NOT on the same level of Ripley at all imo.... just from the trailer alone rofl 🤣
I mean....Ripley had the late great Philip Seymore Hoffman AND THEE Cate Blanchett lol. That alone should tell you smthg. 😄 Plus, the plot was pretty complex.
I'll wait for another trailer for Saltburn to see if I like it better, but this first one wasn't really intriguing to me for some reason. But maybe it was just a teaser. 🤷🏾♀️

Just watched The Master and I need to talk to someone about whatever the hell was going on in The Master >:|
Spoilers:
Obvsl it's based on Hubbard and Scientology, but WHAT was the DEAL btwn Freddie and Lancaster? Were they lovers?? Is Freddie getting away from The Cause a parallel/metaphor for his recovering from his trauma??? Is Lancaster the addict who CANT quit & Freddie the one who did???? Or is Lancaster and The Cause(ideology) just another drug?x5
Freddie and Lancaster parallel & express each other in allot of ways, obvsl, but how far does that go? Are they LITERALLY the same person, or does it just SEEM that way sometimes to get across how supremely codependent their relationship is?? It’s got to be intentional that they’re rarely both active in a scene, right???
Anyway: a very compelling movie.

Good Time (2017)
Starring: Robert Pattinson, Benny Safdie, Jennifer Jason Leigh
Directed by: Benny Safdie, Josh Safdie
Rated R
Free Streaming Included with Amazon Prime.
Personal Opinions and my Thoughts (Spoilers ahead):
Good Time is one of those Indie movies that had the potential to be a huge hollywood success if marketed that way and kept the same way artistically. Still the movie did very well winning tonnes of awards and positive reviews. This movie put the Safdie brothers on my radar and was one of the reasons I forced my family to go to a early morning screaning of Uncut Gems on Christmans Morning at a theatre 20 minutes away from home. Directed by the Safdie Brothers and written by Josh Safdie the movie is much more than a foray into the adventures of a bumbling minor-league criminal. Robert Pattinson brilliently plays main character Constantine “Connie” Nikas a small time criminal. Initially the movie attempts to portray a Of Mice and Men feeling between Connie and his younger brother Nick, played by Benny Safdie. Fortunately the movie plays with several boring movie tropes and cliches in some clever and fun ways. As we follow through the movie Connie’s true nature is revealed. He is not the “thug with a heart of gold”, or a “protective big brother who sacrifices morals for family”. He is not even the “competant criminal”. The vibes are sick in this movie. The movie does the new age New York gritty tone with their depiction of RIkers as well as the seddier parts of Queens and the other bouroughs. They got some 90-2000s and early10s behaviors and manurisms of New York background characters that give the movie personality. Also not to give too much away there I’ve never seen a dye pack explosion in a taxi like this before. Mad retro vibes which are courtesy of the Safdie brothers. Expect a lot of synthizers in the background. Camera cutting between characters throughout dialogues keep the anxious tone of the movie palpable. Neon lighting gives in a very vice feel. Physical acting is very good in this movie. You purposefully see twitches, mannurisms, ticks, shows of affection and longing for affection through their body language. The music helps capture tense and stressful situations throughout the movie in different situations. As Connie attempts to free his mentally handicapped brother Nicky from Rikers after a robbery gone wrong. As Connie bumbles himself from one situation to the next his character is revealed to the audience through Robert Pattinson’s brillient acting. This movie put him on the shortlist for my new favorite actors before The Lighthouse, and The King came out. His ability to portray damaged, complicated, broken people reminds me of Philip Seymor Hoffman (rip :/). He brings nuance and intricacies in the subtle features of the character that contribute to the viewers understanding of the character’s personality and contradicts the meaning of Connie’s actions. Connie is a scumbag, but you root for him to succeed. Connie is a pure misanthrope. He gaslights his girlfriend, is leachourous, a liar everything you would dispise in someone else. Yet throughout the movie you are rooting for him as face first dives out of the frying pan straight into the fire place. So why is Connie doing this. They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. And truely you could say that about Connie. The way he f--ks up throughout is almost comedic, if the stakes were not tragic. And as Uncut Gems showed addiction, Good Time shows toxic love. Connie is not good for his mentally handicapped brother Nicky. You can tell in the first scene as Connie interrupts his brother Nicky’s therapy session out of jealousy and angrily intimidates the therapist who really is helping his brother out. His brother ends up in prison cause of Connie and really Connie finds his redemption by taking the bid for Nicky #SPOILER! There is some umentioned #generic family abuse in their backstory. Their grandma abused Nicky and Connie abused the grandmother. Connie is a real scum bag. The actions taken by Connie, in reference to the title, are a simply just a good time for him. Interestingly enough most of the members of the cast are amateurs actors. The Safdie brothers have a record using obscure cast members who are often memorable characters. Buddy Duress who plays the doormat like bipolar bumbling criminal Ray in the movie has good chemistry with Pattinson yet is able to be a quirky character on his own. Taliah Webster is another character who you can just sympathize for deeply yet also deeply respect and feel bad for. Dysfunctional characters all around yet do not make the story seem unrealistic to the point of disbelief and also keep the intense tone. The movie is a realistic reminder that crime while not clean is a good devient time, and it is refreshing to see a criminal who is not cool or professional or classy. Worth a watch if you have the time, a smart movie to watch on a date, by yourself (with or without a joint).
7.5 money dye packs out of 10.
This movie is rated for 90s kids

Licorice Pizza (O-Ton)...
