I like both ships so here is some propaganda for both ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ

Izujack / Izutsumei

I think I started shipping this after reading the Izutsumi-centric fic A Knock at the Door by Birbliophile, which had platonic Izutsumi & Meijack and suggested they could be friends and go on adventures together post-canon

Meijack is said to be the most like Chilchuck, who Izutsumi has good rapport with. Plus, Chil is one of Izutsumi’s fave pillows people, so it feels like she might take a liking to Meijack lol

Izutsumi is not afraid to speak her mind, and Meijack is described as “brusque” and has not spoken a word, yet both seem to be shy or standoffish in new social situations

Similar to Izutsumi, Meijack is shown to have a lack of attraction or interest during her appearances in the side comics and can be interpreted as a-spec, too

No matter the headcanon, imo she and Izutsumi seem compatible with how they’d want a relationship to progress, whichever form that takes

And while their dispositions don't seem too dissimilar, their backgrounds have differences that are interesting to explore. One grew up on tales of "trolls" stealing away young half-foot children if they misbehaved; the other actually lived that nightmare to be cursed and permanently changed. One grew up in a loving family and was free to leave and become independent; the other could barely remember her mother and was forced to stay with the Nakamoto household before she was freed from her "collar"

Meijack, who had been estranged from her father, and Izutsumi, who had adventured with said father and helped push him to finally reconcile. Meijack getting her dad back, and Izutsumi gaining an entire family...

And, to top it all off, the ship has potential to give Chilchuck an ulcer. You were worried about the wrong daughter — congrats on your new daughter-in-law, old man~

Since they were children, both were othered as “not human” by their society and as a result were mistreated and sold. Same as Izutsumi, Inutade was taken from her parents at a young age — which makes me wonder if a Succubus would take the form of her mom or dad if she were to ever encounter one...

Without the other even asking, Izutsumi would gift Inutade her uneaten veggies, and Inutade would cover Izutsumi’s unfinished chores. In Chapter 44, Izutsumi kept remembering moments with Inutade; even if she thinks of Tade as “the one with horns”, Tade still managed to make an impression on her~

Inutade the dog versus Izutsumi the cat. Tade’s sunny disposition versus Izutsumi’s brashness. Inutade’s eagerness to please others to the detriment of herself (e.g. falling off a roof and getting hurt) versus Izutsumi’s cat-like self-interest and desire for independence

And while during the story they were separated, one day they will find each other…!

informant and wondering if he did something wrong because he notices the upset look in their eyes whenever he meets their gaze but he doesn’t want to talk to them since he thinks they’re upset with him

There's something in the way that the seeker (me) didn't have the time to properly grieve his death because they had to immediately get back to helping out the other townspeople, the announcment of his death only being a fleeting mention, never to be said again.

i wish they wrote about how informant felt after being told that he died since it was only just as simple as

i think it'd hurt them because he really doesn't understand the weight of it.
