Some 90's musical superstars also crashed during the end of the noughts. To be honest, they could've avoided this by being much better than what they were then. Before you protest – you did check the link, I assume –, I'm not upset over the direction of career Alanis Morrissette had during the noughts. She was one of the defining voices of the 90's, so her struggles in the period I mentioned do make a lot of sense. However, I do believe she could've been more adventurous in her choices thanks to her already achieving a definition, since she became stuck in a formula by that point. Still, Flavors Of Entanglement did have a producer that attempted to move her beyond her usual markers. That's great, she should've kept going there.

This Saturday (September 21) we reach the highpoint of our Phantom of the Opera celebrations as Dannii Cohen is joined by four Phantoms to celebrate 115 years since the first chapter of the novel was published in the Gaulois (on September 23 1909.)
-
Ethan Freeman performed the role of Erik The Phantom many times on West End as well as in Vienna, Toronto and Essen, Germany.
During his run he received the nickname "The Leroux Phantom" for his very Leroux accurate take on the role.
His West End run was so well received that he was voted "Most Popular Phantom" in a poll by the International Phantom Of The Opera Fan Club which brought him the opportunity to record a Phantom highlights album for Jay Records together with Claire Moore whom was voted most popular Christine. In 2009 it was updated with songs from Love Never Dies.
-
Peter Karrie performed the role of Erik, The Phantom on the West End, the Canadian (Far East) Tour, Toronto and the UK Tour. Well known for his expressive body language and hand gestures, he’s considered to be among one of the finest “old school” Phantoms.
-
Ciaran Sheehan was understudy Phantom and first cast Raoul on Broadway before landing the position of first cast Phantom in Toronto.
Currently he is touring the USA with three other Phantoms as "The Four Phantoms".
-
Jonathan Roxmouth performed the role of The Phantom in various South African productions and two world/Asian tours.
During the pandemic this production was the only one that continued making him "The only Phantom in the world" for several months.
The Episode will premiere on Saturday 20.00 UK time on YouTube

Benedict and Nancy Freedman House
LOST in the L.A. fires...
Freedman House at 315 Vía De La Paz, Pacific Palisades was designed in 1949 by Modernist architect Richard Neutra.
The clients were Benedict and Nancy Freedman, a husband-and-wife screenwriting partnership who worked from home and had a new baby.
Sliding walls of glass opened the house up to the private yard and swimming pool. Inside, a built-in chaise lounge near the living room fireplace enhances this mini writers' retreat.
Over the decades, the house underwent thoughtful renovations by architect Peter Grueneisen for subsequent owners, ensuring its relevance while maintaining its architectural integrity.
Despite its historic significance and status as an enduring symbol of Neutra's vision, the Freedman House was tragically lost in recent fires.
This destruction serves as a sobering reminder of the vulnerability of architectural landmarks to environmental challenges, especially in wildfire-prone regions like California.
The loss not only diminishes our physical connection to mid-century modernism but also underscores the urgent need to prioritize the preservation and protection of culturally and architecturally significant structures through adaptive reuse and resilient design strategies.
