Qingque's perfect 60% university record is a brilliant depiction of smarts, but also... it's weirdly high effort for her.
Tumblr media
Getting exactly 60% in every exam (as opposed to, say, getting 58–62% with a 60% average) would require a lot of calculation and careful attention to the marking scheme, etc.
And to what benefit? What does she get out of it? Qingque is depicted as someone who relentlessly optimises the amount of effort she puts into things she doesn't want to do(*).
I'm not sure tbh. My best guess is "deliberate political statement" to... her parents, maybe? Unclear.

Wanna see a gorgeous fella I almost walked face first into the other day? Of course you do!
(WARNING: Snake photos incoming)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Almost ran into 'em because my brain did not register the weird branch twisting around another branch until the last second. And I jumped about a foot back. Snake was probably more startled than I was, judging by the look on its face.

I find it a little sad when someone isn’t able to keep a single plant alive, just my opinion because to me gardening fruits and vegetables is one of the most basic core skills someone in life should have, to sustain themself and grow food and I love growing cucumbers, various kinds of peppers, potatoes and strawberries and idk when I hear someone can’t keep one little plant alive that’s how I know you’d likely die on your own djsjsjdj

that "paint rocks to look like strawberries so birds hurt their beaks on the rocks and learn to stop stealing your strawberries" post is going around again and no, do not do this.
Training native birds to avoid their natural food sources is bad. End of discussion, no ifs ands or buts about it. You don't want to share? Fine, figure out another way to keep birds away without forcing them to alter their natural behaviors, especially about something as literally life or death crucial as food.
If you have the time to paint a bunch of rocks to look like strawberries or blueberries, you have time to set up a chickenwire cover over your fucking berries.

A small basket of baked apple fritters appears on your desk. A note tied to it reads; "Enjoy." There is no sign-off, but it should be easy to assume who this came from.

Finally, someone said it! This was from a review from someone who bought a "Rescue Wasp Trapstik" and ended up regretting it.
I really like how Sidney explains how you should study the creature you are dealing with to determine if it is really necessary to kill it or not. She also states that if you have to kill them, it should be done quick and painlessly to reduce suffering.
Rescue even states that their product is also meant to target not only yellowjackets and hornets, but mud daubers too. MUD DAUBERS. One of the most docile species of wasp in the world!
These traps have also caught birds, bats, other beneficial insects, and even lizards.
Here is an example of what happens when small animals come in contact with these traps
TW for injured bird (there is no gore, but it is still pretty upsetting)
Tumblr media
Glue traps have thankfully been banned in the UK. Unfortunately, they have not been banned where I live (the US). Glue traps pose a serious threat to native wildlife. I really hope that someday that these kinds of traps are banned in the US.
Remember, if you really need to kill something (whether it is rodents infesting your house, an invasive species, etc.) please make sure you give it a quick and painless death so it doesn't suffer. There are plenty of products out there for doing just that.
Also, do NOT buy glue traps.
