Let's be honest with ourselves that Transformers Earthspark has its issues. It isn't uncommon for the series to have a few messy iterations throughout the years. However those at least have something going for them.

Bayverse is a junk pile yet there's a lot of material you can build off on and some pretty interesting concepts. RiD15 is an awful sequel to Prime but does decently well as a standalone although there are much needed changes to be had. Earthspark... Well, it's just there.

I can be lenient with the plot holes and poor pacing as Nickelodeon is notorious for interfering with any show that isn't SpongeBob to the point of cancellation. The issues truly land on the characters themselves. I'm gonna try to simplify it without devolving into a rant like the previous draft.

Edit: Gonna add some further edits as I wrote this in the middle of the night. Plus my simplified version skipped some key details.

Robby. Somehow they made a human character I actually dislike instead of be neutral about. In the official Transformers wiki, he's labeled as a big brother who cares for his siblings but his actions so far say otherwise. Robby literally ran away in the first episode because they moved then decided to try and hide the Terrans from his parents.

Yet he rarely gets enough consequences for his actions. I think we don't just need less Emberstone saves not just because of plot armor but force actual character growth on him. Like a life changing to one of his siblings as consequences for his actions and strained relationship until he gets his head outta his ass.

Edit: Yes, I know Robby is a teenager but that isn't a decent enough excuse for his behavior. Seen the trope about big brothers who do act closed off or at some points rude but they haven't done shit that put their family in serious danger. No, I didn't try to purposely forget the times he was injured badly.

There honestly needs to be less of those and his consequences be adjusted to it affects someone else badly. *

Next issue is lacking confrontation with Optimus choices alongside the obvious misplaced trust in the 13 Primes. Quintus Prime literally emotionally manipulated and scarred Mo through a fake bad ending reality because she doubted herself. No good person would do that, much less an actual ally. Even moreso on a child.

I seen this shit in Trollhunters but at least Jim, the main character, was a teenager. (It still was wrong though.) We also got remember that Liege Maximo and Megatronus/The Fallen are Primes. Yet somehow it is best to trust them.

Don't get me started with some of Optimus' choices when it comes to GHOST. He probably did it to protect his Autobots but what about the Decepticons who are locked away? Why are there so little of his companions with him especially since Bumblebee had fucking went into hiding before the show began.

There needs to be tension between Optimus with his Autobots. Someone is bound to snap and Bumblebee would have the biggest impact. The man clearly isn't okay as he's doing things that even Megatron admits ain't like him.

Mandroid needs to be written differently. He has the making of a sympathetic villain but oh boy. First off it is clear that his depiction is ableist aligned since the reason he doesn't like Cybertronians is because he lost his arm. Major thing to change right there.

Give him a narrative where his interest been genuine but slowly declines as the Autobot/Decepticon war increases the number of destroyed lives. Let him become a victim to this than just 'I lost my arm so death alongside experimentation to all Cybertronians'. Also don't make Mandroid ignore the obvious fact that the Transformers parts he puts into his body is slowly poisoning and instead come up with ways to fight the infection. Kinda like in Ironman 2 where Tony's arc reactor began to do the same thing.

Edit: Mandroid's negative views on Cybertronians are about the war and he's aware of the Energon poisoning. It is just that it is poorly portrayed to the point you rarely see it over his Arachnamechs/his ruined life.

Have the man present various evidence of destruction the war caused by both sides at the Malto children or anonymously spread such info around town to sew discontent with the townsfolk. 'These are the people who you consider heroes. Who you see as family and friends. Or should these tragedies be forgotten?'

Do a Baxter Stockman where you frequently see him try to fix the Energon poisoning than just simple dialogue. Even have testing on organic subjects to see how they react and find ways to counter it. Don't keep these key points as simple dialogue. *

I don't think Karen needs much changes either. 'But her taking over Cybertron doesn't make sense!' It actually does for one reason: hubris. Have you ever seen what happens when you give a control freak power? Their behavior becomes more erratic as they begin to think they deserve more. She is xenophobic in nature so imprisoning Decepticons and ordering around the Autobots is a drug to her.

Karen wants to treat them like slaves so the next step in her mind is Cybertron. Her death is well deserved and well played. Just like Icarus, the bitch flew too close to the sun.

I think the last major issue, other than out of character racist Shockwave, is the Terrans. No offense but they need a bit less screentime so the rest of the cast can shine. We barely see Alex and there's unclarified issues involving Bumblebee with Arcee if he's uncomfortable around her.

I also want their flaws to be at the forefront. Thrash is the only one who gotten such character development from his encounter with Swindle. We need more of that! Like Hashtag's overreliance on the Internet biting her back as she is forced to use real world skills.

Edit: I accidentally put in Terrans when I really meant Twitch. The screentime for everyone needs to be balanced mainly for the Malto family. Alex alongside the three younger Terrans rarely get involved or their characters further build upon. Twitch needs to get benched more.

Also the Dad Number 2 should really be addressed. Wheeljack was clearly uncomfortable when it been brought up. Plus it is way too fast to even consider such ideas unless you plan to have it addressed properly. Like 'Kid. We barely know each other yet somehow I became a father figure in an instant? It's best not to do that until you truly certain "Dad Number 2" doesn't mean harm or feels comfortable with it.' *

Earthspark clearly has potential but these problems need to be handled better. Addong the deleted scenes help add some clarification but canon needs to present it. We are supposed to get a second season so hopefully some of these are addressed.

I often go back to read random passages from Blood and Gold again, not only because it is my favorite book in the chronicles, or the story of the character I love most, but also because I always find something new to think about. I love Marius, but I am not as rational as he is, although I share with him the trait of making, often times, wrong choices when it comes to following my heart.

I can't examine myself as carefully and precisely as Marius does when faced with these errors, and that's okay. I was just thinking, and precise is my personal feeling in rereading these pages, that a lot of what unites Marius with Pandora and Bianca stems precisely from the role they have shared over time as custodians of the progenitors. Let me explain further. I do not want to say, as some people do who feel compelled to denigrate one ship in favor of another or who create off-the-wall theories (😆) to prove how their ship is more valid, that Marius did not love Pandora and Bianca. I am not a fan of either of them, but this is a sentiment of mine that is not reflected in my favorite character who is Marius. As much as I personally do not love either of the two with Marius, I know very well that he loves them and has always loved them. However, I see how some fans interpret the fact that when Marius is alone, he always often recalls the need for Bianca or Pandora's company, thus justifying the fact that he loves them more than Armand.

I guess everyone can see this in whatever light they want, hence my personal view on this. Marius always protected Armand from Akasha, as if something in him knew that she would not accept him. And from here again, a thousand ideas can go, why? Did Akasha not approve of Marius being more devoted to Amadeo and his school than to her?

Does Akasha know Amadeo believe in only one God and would he never accept Akasha as the deity she believed herself to be? We know from TVA the frustration and fear mixed with indecision and protective instinct that Marius shows in the face of Akasha's silence about Amadeo. None of this is there for either Pandora or Bianca. And in fact Amadeo shared more with Marius than anyone else, as is reported not only in TVA but also in TQOTD, Marius and Armand shared their souls, bared their souls to each other. But there is precisely one thing that Armand never shared with Marius, being the other guardian of the progenitors.

That is why I think that Marius in some moments of Blood and Gold recalls more the lack of Pandora or Bianca, because they both know the burden, the responsibility, the care and the inner struggle, as well as the 'isolation and the weight that that role puts on the shoulders of those who fill it. Of course neither of them can really understand the 'immensity of that role because only Marius has been carrying it on his shoulders the whole time.But he has shared with Bianca and Pandora a part of that journey. And that in his loneliness I think influenced him to think about the two of them. I say all this, without wanting to take away from the importance of the feelings that unite Marius with Bianca and Pandora, I will have my preferences, but I always try to be objective.

But I think it's not fair to leverage those moments when Marius talks about Bianca and Pandora to denigrate Marius/Armand or to use them as leverage to push the idea that one ship is more valuable than others. These thoughts of mine are not aimed at that, it is my idea about the dynamics of the relationships between the characters. I think everyone should love what brings them happiness without having to impose or try to make what they prefer more valuable at the expense of something else. I don't feel I have to make the Marius/Armand or the Marius/Daniel the only valid ships in the chronicles or the best. The Canon makes them important and binding, especially after the 'last trilogy, but hey for me just have respect then everyone can do what they want! Love what makes you happy and leave others free to do the same.

最近没有什么灵感……说一下自己的一些对于Isaac的感觉吧…还有关于他和lucius…游戏里也没给出Isaac的具体背景……

感觉Isaac像另一种极端，lucius如果没发展好可能就是Isaac那样了，能从过场动画看出来兄弟二人对Lucifer都是非常，非常仰慕……会去争夺父亲的关注……Isaac台词里也看出来他到死对Lucifer都是绝对忠诚的【有点忘了他是不是这么说的，我英语不太好】觉得他有点被Lucifer pua成功了……个人是觉得，lucius是非常独立也非常有自己想法的小孩，虽然听从Lucifer的话但是自己也会去思考去琢磨，到最后第三部游戏决定去推翻父亲的统治，但是看Isaac就觉得他好像，除了折磨人类外他唯一做的事就是一直在对父亲言听计从……他看起来都比lucius至少大了十多岁吧……看起来都17，18岁了怎么想法就完全没有lucius想的这么周全……可能被Lucifer完全洗脑了吧……之前想过或许Isaac也遇见过像jack那样的好人，但是因为被洗脑很深所以对于杀掉也没什么反应，对lucifer基本上就是崇拜了吧……不过lucius在精神病院住了这么久一听说自己有一个兄弟，心里马上就想着要去争夺父亲对他的关注，从这里能看得出来lucifer有多会搞pua这套。

还有Isaac跟lucius的关系，我本人是比较喜欢画他们两个的……因为感觉兄弟俩还是挺有意思的……会因为看不惯对方而大打出手什么的，我个人更容易把他们画成一对日常生活会打闹互相谋杀，但是杀人时会配合良好的兄弟组合，毕竟Isaac都占了第二部游戏半个封面我也不能无视他，，，而且他的背景感觉还是可以挖一下的，我到现在为止在游戏里发现的线索只有:他曾经跟lucius一个精神病院，他在ludlow大杀特杀造成的案件耸人听闻，他的叔叔勉强活了下来【虽然后面被lucius杀了】以及他是个非常…非常喜欢折磨人类的家伙。。

……游戏太烂了给Isaac铺垫了这么多结果boss战也很烂……

Shades

The first Persona game I've experienced is funnily enough not Persona 5. My true start in a sense had been the quieter and homey air of Persona 4 Golden. Despite not being able to play it back then, the game left enough impression to get me invested in the series.

There is one particular part that stuck with me though. It was the idea of someone's Shadow becoming a Persona through acceptance. A very common occurrence as everyone in the game except for the Protagonist gone through this.

Most of the bosses in 4 is someone's Shadow who went berserk if their other half rejects them. Why you may ask? Because these are the manifestations of our inner darkness, a Doppelganger. Doppelgangers can be considered an already volatile powder keg to put it simply.

Personas are the opposite side of this very coin. An incredible power that can only be wielded when someone accepts their shadow half and can take many forms depending on the person. Or you might view it as a conduit for a summon if going for the demons route like in Shin Megami Tensei.

Shadows can become Personas and vice versa. Yet, what if there's a halfway point? Neither a Shadow or Persona but have the potential to become either depending on their choices.

An entity I will call a Shade. Beings stuck in the threshold between both paths and whose actions can determine what they become. Shades work on completely different rules though.

The creation process being the biggest difference as they don't originate from any variation of the Metaverse. Every Shade was once a human or non-cognitive being. From an entire person to even a body less soul.

All Shades are someone whose life or potential were completely shattered. Those that wish to move forward but can't without assistance. Shades can be created in two different ways.

First is Patronage where a Persona or Shadow offers to grant them this wish. The Shade born from such a process always takes after their 'Patron' in form and have similar abilities. EX: Shades whose Patron is Arséne often tend to share the Curse attribute alongside physical traits to him like horns, wings, or similar attire.

The second is Cognition Metamorphosis. A peculiar process where the potential Shade manifests their own form without a patronage. Their visage and abilities are based on the individual's inactive Shadow/Persona. Cognition Metamorphosis can only occur if the potential Shade has a strong spirit or in an area heavily linked to the Metaverse called a Transcendent Point.

The state of the person's body upon either transition is an important factor. Should a potential Shade not have one or it is too damaged then it'll take time to fully develop. Kinda like tadpole into frog.

An accurate comparison unlike those who do have an intact body. They fully emerge from it as a complete Shade. A process made easier and faster with their old body acting like a conduit or a chrysalis to be more accurate.

Now I can really delve into differences that Shades have when it compared to Persona and Shadows. These entities can be fully interacted by everyone outside of the Metaverse. Normal living beings are able to see, hear and even touch Shades without any issue.

This is because they aren't fully separated from the human realm until becoming either a Persona or Shadow. Although there will be complications though. Every Shade has a negative effect on a person's perception of them.

These tend to range from unable to say certain words, inability to hear their voice, or an unnatural villainization. A sometimes very volatile twist in perception as some individuals become unreasonably hostile to Shades that can affect them. Not everyone is susceptible to this negative shift though.

Shades are born with the ability to create Domains. Personal dens and places of safety that can be created by melding their power into an area. A pseudo Safe Room to put it simply. Domains can be adjusted by their respective Shade whether on purpose or personal growth towards their Persona/Shadow evolution.

If a Shade die, then their body and anything crafted by their powers disintegrate as erased from existence. How they become a Persona or Shadow also varies. The latter being more easier to achieve if a Shade looses themselves to inner darkness from sorrow to sheer malevolence.

In order to become a Persona, they have to find their goal. Whether it be a purpose, truth, or even a resolve. A Shade who manages to reach this particular goal then they become a Persona and can leave the mortal realm for the Sea of Souls. These two respective processes are called Ascension/Descension.

Persona born from Shades can remember their past lives with full detail and are able to return to the mortal realm if they formed a strong enough bond with an individual(s). Those that become Shadows hold no memories nor emotions other than the one which created them. It is highly advised to be ready for a vicious fight if encountered.

Shades have the ability to grant boons to non Persona users which can evolve over time, Crowning being the term. Animal like receivers become Familiars who could potentially transform into powerful Beasts called Dusks. People are blessed with powerful weapons, armor and even magic.

If the crowning Shade becomes a Persona then their familiars transition into Shades while Dusks become Persona. Items or magic transcend into much more powerful variations. Not the same can be said for the opposite.

If this Shade becomes a Shadow, then their familiars transition into unstable Shades and Dusks to volatile Shadows. Given items or magic become cursed making them very hazardous to the wielder. Even those around the gifted can be in danger if too close.

This is probably one of the few ideas that I already wrote for but never flesh out. For those wondering, it is a MHA/Persona fanfic on Ao3 called Incarnation. (One that needs to be updated as it's stuck in hiatus.)

do you know how many people are mad that authors use "growled" as a word for "said"? it's just poetics! they do not literally mean "growled," it's just a common replacement for "said with force but in a low tone." it's normal! do you hear me!! help me i love you please let me out of here!!!

The punchline of it all is that your fave was, in fact, problematic--not least because we are all bumbling fools navigating being alive in an ever-new world we're experiencing for the first and only time.

And the thing is, Your Fave was given a giant megaphone for some reason, which means when Your Fave bumbles foolishly through the world, they do so VERY LOUDLY and their inevitable mistakes are EAR-SPLITTING.

I think so many people are so deeply alienated from themselves that they have no clue how to exercise their free will and autonomy. For some, this alienation runs so deep that they are afraid of their own autonomy and humanity. It is completely understandable why one would have those feelings, but it can be worrisome.

I want to help others who feel this way, so here are small things I have done to exercise my free will:

Add "guilty pleasure" songs to playlists and actually listen to them (I have a ton of late 1990s-early 2000s music I listen to now proudly that I never listened to in the past out of shame)

Getting the décor item, bath set, bed spread, ect. in the patterns you like, even if it's "childish" (I got a dinosaur-themed wastebasket from the kids' décor section and I adore it)

Taking a new route to get to a place you go to often

Eat dessert first

Celebrate well, and often

Collect things that are "odd" or don't seem like an "acceptable" thing to collect (somebody on my "for you" page collects dandelion crayola crayons and it was so cool!!!!!!)

Incorporate one new piece in an outfit you wear frequently (e.g., a new chain, a necklace, ribbons, bracelets, ect.). Challenge yourself to add onto the outfits if you feel up for it.

Sing along to songs without worrying that you sound "good" or your intonation is completely accurate

Read a book from a genre you weren't allowed to read as a kid (comics, thrillers, mysteries, anything!)

Walk without having a specific destination or goal

Pick up a new craft without expecting yourself to master it or to ever be "good" enough. Get your hands messy.

I don't want to shame anybody for not feeling as though they have free will or that they are exempt from exercising it. However, I wanted to give ideas so that you might read this list and find your own ways to express your intrinsic autonomy and will. You deserve to be a person, to feel alive, not just living. That is what our lives are for.

Like I mentioned in another post, I am currently working on a draft for a Transformers idea. It was originally a ramble talked about in a Discord server when it involved the media as a whole and sorta spitball from there. (Convo was originally about how there needed to be more shows with a PG-13 or Mature rating, exploration of relationships between both species i.e platonic/familial/romantic, and more worldbuilding such as cultural differences to ideas on different topics like religion.)

I haven't exactly come up with a good draft as of yet. So for now, enjoy these screenshots about it. I marked out the other people's names and icons in this discussion for privacy reasons. Please excuse the awful photoshop but there 24 screenshots in total while my Tumblr has a 10 photo limit.

i turn 24 today. To celebrate, I made this comic to be a spiritual successor to lead balloon, a comic in which I talked about the darkest period of my life so far.

A lot has changed since my 23rd birthday and this one. My priorities have shifted a lot, in ways that I think are mostly good. But i think the best part about today is that suicide has gone back to being a far away notion. I'm really lucky, and I'm grateful for that.
