Retire |Kakashi X Reader| HC
Summary: You need some convincing to leave ANBU.
Warnings: Mentions of alcohol and depression. Mentions of suicide. A bit angsty and self-destructive, but fluffy overall.
Masterlist Ko-fi
- - - - -
Even though he'd retired a few years back, you were still an active ANBU captain.
The job was grueling, and he was well aware that the longer you stayed, the worse the missions became.
That isn't just because of the overall baggage people acquire, but because seasoned black ops were often sent on the more... unethical missions.
You'd been acting off recently. He had let it go at first, knowing how taxing the line of work could be, but something in his mind was bugging him to investigate.
He assumed everything had started to actually get to you, so he decided to check in on you between missions with team 7.
He knocked on your door. It took a minute, but you answered.
He wasn't sure what he'd expected, but this wasn't it.
Your appearance was appalling.
You'd lost a lot of weight, you had bags under your eyes, and you reeked of alcohol.
"Just checking in on you. It's been a while."
"Yeah, Tsunade has me on back to back missions. This is my first break in months."
He had assumed his intensive schedule with his team was the thing keeping you two apart, but apparently not.
"How about you get cleaned up while I go get us something to eat? My treat."
"I'm pretty tired, Kashi. I think I'd like to continue rotting for the time being. Thanks for the offer, though."
You gently shut the door in his face.
A sour look plastered itself on his face.
Unfortunately, your use of rotting didn't seem too far off, so he decided to talk to a third party about it.
His first stop was to see Tenzo. Maybe he knew what was up since you two worked so closely.
"I've noticed as well. I tried to ask, but they told me it wasn't appropriate for subordinates to question their captain."
Add that to the list of odd behavior.
You loved Tenzo like family, just like Kakashi did, so the sudden change was worrisome.
He went to ask Asuma as well, knowing he had been in the village more often than he had recently.
Asuma pulled him inside his home and away from prying eyes. Last thing he wanted was the wrong person hearing such a sensitive information.
"We already talked to Tsunade about it months ago when we noticed a decline in her health. Word got back to them, they said something about breach of trust, and they haven't spoken to any of us since."
Kakashi just nodded.
He remembered a time where he also reacted poorly when he'd been questioned in a similar manner.
The only difference is lord Third actually listened instead of allowing him to dig himself deeper into an early grave.
He dwelled on it for a few days.
He cared about you deeply. It was different than any of his other friendships- more personal and open.
The last thing he wanted was to go behind your back and end up with the same treatment the rest of the group was getting.
So he put on his big boy pants and showed up at your door again with vengeance.
He had been practicing what he'd say the whole way over. He needed to be prepared for anything you threw at him so he didn't falter.
But when you opened the door, his fire simmered out.
You just looked so tired.
His words got stuck in his throat.
So he did the only thing he could think of - he just walked forward, straight into you, and wrapped you up in a hug.
You resisted at first, but the second his warmth hit your bones, you relaxed.
It only lasted for a moment before the feelings started to set in, causing your body to shake with sobs.
You fell to the ground, dragging him with you, but his hold didn't loosen one bit.
"It's okay. I'm here for you."
That only made things worse. Something about his comfort was making all the feelings you've worked so hard to repress bubble up to the surface.
After you'd visibly calmed down, he'd picked you up and carried you to the couch. He positioned you so you'd be touching as much as possible without him being too forward.
"I hate ANBU."
Straight to the point. He wasn't sure if that was good or not.
"Why don't you retire? It's been almost fifteen years. That's way longer than most make it."
You hesitated. You had a reason, but the thought of saying it out loud made it sound so silly.
One look at Kakashi’s face told you he wasn't messing around.
You sighed and leaned your head on his shoulder. It made it easier to answer without him looking at you.
"If it's not me going out there, its someone else. I'm already too far gone, may as well save someone else from this fate."
Oh.
Kakashi had fully been expecting some sort of 'I can handle it' response, but this one was so... awful. Just absolutely heart-wrenching.
He collected his thoughts, trying to find a way to reason with you.
"There are people in ANBU who can handle that kind of mental load. You were that person many years ago,"
You just looked at him with that sad, defeated face, and it broke his heart all over again.
"But that's not the case anymore. It's time to pass on the torch."
You shook your head, ready to get up and kick him out. He just pulled you back down and held your hands in his.
"I was so angry when I was forced to retire. I felt like I could do more, like it wasn't that bad, and everyone was underestimating me. Do you know what happens when shinobi like us aren't told to quit?"
You shook your head.
"They end up like my father."
You stayed silent after that. How could you argue when he had just pulled the dead dad card?
So you promised to think about it.
He knew that would be as good as it would get, so he dropped it and opted to switch to a lighter subject.
After an hour or so of talking, you fell asleep. He carried you to your bed and tucked you in. He thought about staying over, but decided against it.
He didn't see you the next day. He'd knocked on your door, but no one answered, and he couldn't sense you inside.
He hoped you were just busy and not on another mission.
He did see you the next day, however.
He was heading to the Hokage's tower to chat with Tsunade about team 7's next mission when he bumped into you.
You smiled at him.
It felt like he was looking at a different person. You were almost glowing. Your eyes seemed a bit brighter, face looked a little fuller, and overall vibe was less damming.
"I retired this morning."
He damn near hugged you in front of the whole village.
"That's great to hear."

I don't think Diew is getting enough credit for how good of a communicator he has been this entire show. I know God is upset right now because he thinks Diew is just going along with him and isn't saying when he doesn't want to do something, but we have been shown time and time again that Diew does not do things that he does not want to do.
From the very beginning, Diew has had no problem establishing firm boundaries. It's the main reason that we all call God a giant green flag. Because some of Diew's boundaries could have been ignored and called ridiculous, but they never were. God went out of his way to make sure he did not see Diew face to face because he knew Diew was not ready for that. And he knew Diew was not ready for that because Diew had clearly communicated and established his comfort level.
We even see it outside of their relationship when Diew tells Jane no. Even after being pressured by her. Even after she bullies him. He tells her no. He also tells her that he does not view friendship the same way she does and he's perfectly happy with the few close friends he has.
Diew and God had a wonderful conversation last episode when God was making Diew uncomfortable with how he was treating him while on their vacation. Diew waited until an appropriate moment when they were alone to bring it up and God sat and listened. Even if he felt a little defensive because no one wants to be the reason their loved one is uncomfortable, he listened, he apologized and he fixed it.
Which is why it was so painful to see Diew incapable of communicating to God when it came to Dr. Pee. We all watched those flashbacks and know how poorly Diew was treated by that man. But I think the most telling thing for how badly it affected Diew and how much he still struggles with it is that he did not tell God. Not because he didn't want to, but because that hurt is still so deep that he could not.
God has every right to be upset. Not only does he have Pee telling him falsehoods about Diew and how Diew just goes along with whatever which tugs and one of God's insecurities, but God also does know that Diew lied about how Pee was to him. That one little lie that Pee was just a senior opened the door for God to believe what Pee told him. Despite all of the communication that those two have had, one little worm of doubt found it's way into God's brain and now he doesn't know if he can trust Diew's feelings for him. God still fully trusts Diew, but he doesn't know if Diew truly loves him or loves Pee. We all know, but God does not. And when God gave Diew the opportunity to say anything and Diew did not, the worm buried itself deeper. Then buried itself deeper still when God called out Diew on his lie and made assumptions about the bracelet and instead of telling him anything, Diew left.
What I love about this conflict is there is no right or wrong person. They are both flawed human beings that are hurting because they love each other but they don't know how to approach this issue yet. Because Diew is traumatized by Pee and is shutting down whenever he has to be vulnerable because of Pee but God has no way to know that. So it just seems like Diew is shutting him down and shutting him out. Were there ways that both of them could have avoided this conflict? Absolutely. Diew could have said "This is a hard topic for me to talk about. I want to tell you but I need time to be ready." God could have not made assumptions about the bracelet being given to Diew by an ex. But that's not who they are. They are both flawed and beautiful and in love and sometimes being in love makes things certain things harder and makes people behave irrationally.
But I fully believe that these two can get through this. Please don't break up. And once they make it through this conflict, they will have a better understanding of each other and will know exactly how to handle similar conflicts going forward. Because that's the thing about this conflict. They need to work through it as a team. As partners. And if any couple can do that, God and Diew can.
#monster next door#monster next door the series#monster next door series#guess who's sick today and couldn't go to work#do you know how hard it is for someone as chatty as me to not be able to speak?#so here have many much words about a show which is the closest i can get to speaking right now

HPI 1.03 Colin-maillard, or Blind Man's Bluff, has some of my favorite early Morgane and Karadec interactions. Given this was the basis for the brand new High Potential episode 1.04 Survival Mode, I thought it might be fun to make a list of differences and similarities.
Things High Potential 1.04 did differently that I liked:
sleep-deprived Morgan! Ya girl hasn't slept in days. I appreciate the consistency about her overactive mind not letting her sleep, and it played into her insecurities and exacerbated how personally she took the case in a neat way
the synopsis said this case would hit close to home for Morgan and they definitely showed it. Things got really personal for her and I liked seeing her both extra affectionate with her kids and extra shouty at the team
her id card badge! This was unexpectedly cute and the whole team being unsurprised that she ran off without signing for it was gold
Karadec breaking protocol and Soto says "she's [Morgan] rubbing off on you" WRONG he's been like this the whole time he's just better at hiding it
Interviewee: "I'm sorry, who is she?" Karadec: "Morgan."
the ransom scenes are some of my favorite in HPI 1.03 and I am mostly bummed they were so different here. I do love that Morgan texted Karadec directly, though (the way he looked at her when she said she'd want him here if it were her kids) ((abc write that case or I will))
that Morgan is the one who desperately yells at Karadec to open the trunk
the badge again! Tie-backs, my beloveds. Karadec not only found her lost badge, he put it on her himself 🤭
"Get some rest, Detective" He's been upgraded from police robot!
Things I wish had been included from HPI 1.03:
Karadec tells her to stay. She does not.
Morgane's cleaning lady trick with the alcohol (random detail but it's vivid in my mind)
Super Poulet
Karadec stopping by her house first thing in the morning with apology treats after he yelled at her the day before (and unexpectedly interfering with Morgane's poorly thought out plans)
Karadec's initial indecisiveness about the ransom swap in the garage and Morgane shouting "KARADEC" lives in my brain rent free
"I'm not sulking, Morgane. I'm furious!" he says it so forcefully it echoes and literally ruffles her. I like that early on they get on each other's nerves so completely and that HPI Karadec has a fierce temper
how impressed Morgane is when she figures out he put the car tracker in the money bag (he doesn't tell them outright)
Mehdi Nebbou. My gosh, that man plays one heck of an interrogator
we didn't get my fav "we're supposed to work hand in hand. when will you start trusting me?" line instead we got a silly goofy thanks for trusting me let's never do this again lol
the original pacing. Some of the details of the case, particularly when the culprit was revealed felt a little rushed in this new ep.
The Looks™
Things I'm glad stayed:
the book aided search and rescue! (in HPI this was a nice pay off because Karadec got on her a couple times for reading it during the case)
Eliott/Elliot's hyperfixations providing important clues (permaculture!)
Karadec appreciation: immediately pegging the driver's lie, taking the fall for the swap with Soto, crack shot Karadec
that Karadec does the professional talking-to-people part of interviews while Morgan/e snoops around people's houses; the time honored tradition of letting your consultant go off (in more ways than one)
the hug with Ava/Théa

I have a Crack idea for the Sparkling of Unicron AU. Basically, Jack's dad is Unicron, who ghosted June to avoid paying child support. When Team Prime comes to Earth & meet the kids, Jack & Optimus team up to track down their dad and get the child support payments by force.
Jack here is still fleshy & has the same personality, but can basically do what a resurrected Megatron could do in Canon, just on a smaller scale. He can't control Megatron though, his will is too strong. Also, his blood is infused with Dark Energon.
When asked as to why she would date the literal God of Chaos, June states that he "had a winning personality". (We all know you like robots, June.)
I'm just going to answer yours and this anon's request at the same time since it will make my life easier. Previous part here
Little Siblings
After the whole debacle with being exiled for a time, Optimus began to heal. It was a slow process and it was not easy by any means. He had been abandoned, treated poorly, and left for scrap by everyone but his creator and the children. Thus it took time, a great deal of it. However during this healing process, Optimus noticed something new in the children.
Firstly, they fought bitterly in his defense if one of his team so much as looked in his general direction wrong. Secondly they often refused to leave his side, emitting a strange set of waves that were so similar to EM fields but so foreign. Then lastly Optimus felt a vague... connection between him and the children. It shouldn't be. They weren't Cybertronian and couldn't have spark bonds. And yet the closer he grew to them and the more he came to see them as kin, the stronger this heretical and impossible bond grew.
Not only that, but when he was around them, he felt more stable. His form didn't flare and break apart as often. His spark remained more controlled and he could keep his physical form together with less difficulty. They made him feel safe in a way that was not too dissimilar from how Unicron wrapped him in love and care. At the same time, the urge to protect them with every fiber of his being was just as strong as their desire to protect him. They were young, they were small, and they were fragile. He thought perhaps all the emotions he was feeling and the connection that seemed to be there might be because he had been away from his team for so long and was out of touch. He almost questioned his father, wondering if Unicron had anything to do with it, but he didn't, not while he was still upset with his maker.
Then the children had to go behaving weirdly.
After his little flare that left the children incapacitated and led to his exile, there were little things that were off about them. It wasn't much so the team wrote it off and Optimus didn't even notice as he worked to restore his broken bonds and the trust between him and his team. But as the wounds healed and Optimus reconnected with his team, the children's differences became more obvious.
Rafael had an aura around him. The team couldn't sense it, they weren't attuned to Unicron's power as Optimus was. Rafael's entire being radiated strength of spirit in a way not too dissimilar from Optimus. It was almost like he too was struggling to keep his being in line, doing everything in his power to keep his form held together. The child even began to speak in the same way Optimus did when his body was too shattered to form words. He didn't seem to know he was doing it, but his emotions were clear as day with how freely they flowed from him. It was startling, especially when not long after that Rafael's eyes began to glow a startling blue whenever his emotions were projected, often becoming clearer in intent.
Miko was partially similar in that her eyes began to glow whenever her emotions got strong enough to warrant concern. At those times she would gain an aura of fear around her. It didn't bother Optimus too much considering he projected the same aura naturally when he wasn't trying to blend in. However it made him more and more concerned when Bulkhead began to shy away in terror whenever Miko got particularly mad. She didn't understand why the team were suddenly so wary of her, nor did the team know why they kept so clear of her on instinct.
Optimus knew, or rather he had an inkling, one he was growing more prevalent within him as Jack showed signs too.
It had been small and hardly noticeable amidst the flow of battle, but in a moment of stress Jack had seemingly controlled a Vehicon Optimus had been near certain was dead. The boy didn't seem to notice as he fought to keep his fellow humans safe, but Optimus noticed. How could he not? The waves of his father's power were far more intense than anything he had ever felt from an organic.
Thus after a few additional weeks of watching the children project these odd abilities, he reached out to his maker with an inquiry.
Optimus: The children are showing abilities that have your touch evident in them.
Uniron: Impossible. I have no heralds among the humans.
Optimus: Are you sure Creator? They are not like me, that is certain. However the feeling of your power is unmistakable.
Unicron: I haven't made a herald since Megatron, and I have no memory of-
Optimus: Creator?
Unicron: It seems I forgot something rather important.
Optimus: Speak plainly Creator, what did you do?
Unicron: It was during a waking sleep, one I hardly remember. However I for a time walked this earth in an organic form in a mixed delirium of emotion.
Optimus: You didn't.
Unicron: I may have ended up creating three lifeforms by accident, two by throwing around burst of power and one from a one night stand.
Optimus: Primus... you can't be serious.
Unicron: I am dead serious.
Optimus: Frag.
With the knowledge that his Creator had gone out of his way to do things while only partially aware, Optimus hurriedly moved to confirm these claims. First he went straight to the children, his frame flaring and coming apart partially in his hurry. The team were worried and watched on in growing concern as he questioned Rafael, asking for the circumstances of his birth. Rafael quickly confirmed that he had been found as a baby and adopted by his current family and that he had no real issues with it. Then upon asking Miko the same question, he received a similar answer that left Optimus terrified to ask Jack what he needed to.
It could all have been coincidence and a bad case of Optimus's outburst affecting the children in odd ways. He had seen stranger things, perhaps it was all just one big mess up. However that hopeful wish was blown directly out of the water when June was called into base and Optimus asked her a question he feared the answer to.
Optimus: Mrs. Darby, would you by chance be willing to tell me who Jack's father is?
June: Oh? I don't mind, but I couldn't really give you an answer. He was a nice guy who told me his name was Uni Cron. Odd name and pronounced very strangely, he also had some trouble with memory, but he was sweet and treated me well.
Optimus: Why is he not here assisting in raising Jack?
June: Honestly I don't know. He lived with me for a few months, we got to know each other, we spent a night together, and then he was gone the next day. I never heard from him again.
Optimus: ... I believe you may have possibly had relations with my Creator.
June: What? Last I checked, you were a giant robot and your Creator was Unicron-!
June: ... Oh.
Optimus: ... If it is any consolation, I was unaware I had a brother.
Not a soul or spark could utter a word as everyone stood there dumbly for a long moment. Then Optimus put forward his whole theory, to which the children stared at him with wide eyes but said nothing. It was silent, deafeningly so and everyone just.... scattered to think about it for a while, leaving Optimus, June, and the children alone.
There was plenty of nervous staring involved, but slowly and with a great deal of caution, Optimus began to talk with the children and June. He told them of his own creation and his experiences with thier Creator and in turn he told them what he could of their abilites. He offered to teach them and guard them, while also warning of possible side effects such as long life or even partial immortality. It was a very strained discussion even though Optimus was bound to the children by what he now knew to be siblings bonds, but after a while they figured things out.
June insisted on being called mom as soon as she figured out that Optimus had been left to fend for himself so soon after his creation. It didn't matter to her that Optimus was millions of years old and had watched the rise and fall of civilizations, he was a child who never knew the love of a parent and she intended to rectify that especially now that her son and Optimus were confirmed to be related. He initially tried to object, but June reaching out to pat his cheek in a comforting manner left him bewildered but strangely pleased.
Jack was left more startled than anything else and doubting his reality. Optimus attempted to soothe him with calming words and the touch of his field, but Jack wasn't having it. He needed time, and that was acceptable. Miko was on board with the thought of being siblings almost immediately and took to being related to Unicron without issue. She called it her "hero arc" or something along those liens and proceeded to make a show of pretending to have magic powers. It made the tension in the room lessen, especially when Rafael merely adjusted his glasses, looked up at Optimus and murmured.
"So what if I'm related to Unicron? So are you, and you are one of the best bots out there. Besides, we are family now"
Family. It was a word Optimus had difficulty pinning after all that had happened. Bumblebee was family, he was Optimus's sparkling even if their relationship was still a little iffy. Ratchet was family, he had been family for vorns. The team were family, but mainly because they needed to. Optimus had no family by blood aside from his maker. His "siblings" were of Primus, not of Unicron. They were cousins that he treated like blood kin. He loved all his family, but there was something so very novel about having blood related kin right before him.
Of course then when he reached out to his Creator, he found their bond silent. He sent question after question, wondering why and asking for answers, but he received nothing. Unicron was not heeding him, quite likely because he didn't want to deal with his newfound creations.
Optimus was a special case, he was intentional, he was the one and only creation Unicron had poured all his attention into. He was loved form day one, but the children? They were accidents, and Unicron had never been quick to love when it came to those not bound to him. Optimus knew this well, he could read his creator's spark just by letting his base nature take over for a moment. However he had no intention of letting Unicron go without at least speaking to his children. The children needed their father. Optimus had been denied his creator his entire existence up until earth, the children deserved better, or if nothing else the the chance to see where they came from.
Thus he began spending every waking moment hounding his creator and digging around to find another way to Unicron's core if his creator saw fit to continue to remain silent.

AITA for resenting my adopted brother and cutting him out of my life?
I (23m) have been at odds with my adopted brother (25m) for several years now. I've been refusing to speak to him. He and a long-time friend (24f) feel we should reconcile, but I feel like his behavior has been reason enough to justify never speaking to him again. I apologize for the length, but context is important in situations like these.
My father (biological) adopted him when I was around 12 - we both wanted to be knights like him when we grew up. I loved my father dearly and for most of my life we only had each other. On my 18th birthday, he and I were ambushed, and he was killed saving my life and died in my arms. Long story short, looking into who killed him exposed a huge conspiracy, it turned out special operatives from a different country were to blame. The leaders of the group of knights he'd trusted swept it under the rug, and blamed him for being killed instead of forcing the ones responsible to face justice. Obviously, I couldn't join them after that betrayal. My brother didn't have the same reservations. He became a well-liked, high-ranked knight. But he also became a bully and drunk, who lies and manipulates others for fun and treats lower ranked knights poorly.
Ever since our paths diverged, he's been antagonistic and takes every opportunity to insult and berate me. He says I 'spit on our father's legacy' by abandoning my childhood dream of knighthood, insults everything from my taste in food and drink to my personal moral code. I can't have a civil conversation with him or bring up his drinking problem without him bringing up father as a low blow. I'm expected to run the business my father left me, so I don't really have time for hobbies now, let alone getting harassed with insults. So now I mostly avoid him.
I can see why he and our friend want us to reconcile - my mother died in childbirth, and he has no other family or friends outside the knights. My father had saved him from a tough situation, and was his idol and his inspiration to make something of himself. When he was most in need of family and support, I ran off looking for revenge and my idea of vigilante justice. Neither of us really have anyone else besides each other and our mutual friend. I've been terse with him in the past, and regularly criticize both him and the group who took him in when I left him behind.
I wouldn't be opposed to reconciling, but he refuses to apologize for his behavior, acknowledge he has an alcohol problem, or respect my decision to not be a knight after father's death. Friend says I should forgive and support him, but friend is ALSO a high ranking knight. In my eyes, he is expecting forgiveness without accountability and has no plans to better himself, so we're both better off not speaking at all because any conversation ends in an argument or exchanging blows.
AITA?

Some Collector Character Analysis
Annoyed by people who say that the Collector's personality changed "for no reason" or who say they preferred him from season 2. Like. There is a reason he changed. He was being abused, manipulated, lied to, for 350+ years. Before that it's implied they were, at the very least, neglected by their family. I don't like when people say they preferred how he acted in season two because he was "actually threatening" or "interesting" or whatever because as someone who knows enough about this kind of thing (and that's all you're getting from me), when I see the Collector in season 2, I see a child who is reacting to their environment.
He was never evil, he was in pain and trying to conform to what he thought was expected of him by the adult that was "taking care" of him, that he thought he was friends with.
People talk about fight or flight, when there's actually three other responses, freeze, friend/fawn, and flop. I propose that the Collector's response is fawn, which is described as
"The fawn response may show up as people-pleasing, even to your detriment. You may use compliance and helpfulness to avoid abuse; you disregard your happiness and well-being no matter how poorly someone treats you. This trauma response is often used to diffuse conflict and return to a feeling of safety."
As another layer to this, I was talking to my therapist about the Collector and I asked her how a child who is very neglected might act, since I HC the Archivists were neglectful to them and also they were trapped in solitary confinement for like 2000 years minimum. And she told me "Well they would have attachment issues" either in that they cannot attach to people at all or they are instantly very attached to people. And I think it's the second one, because we see multiple times that the Collector is immediately trusting of people when he meets them. They didn't like Luz but as soon as they think they have the opportunity to befriend her, they immediately become attached. And obviously there was him trying to befriend Belos even after everything he's done to EVERYONE including them.
So I think it's super believable that they immediately attached to Belos, believing everything he was told, and trying very hard to appease and appeal to him, adopting a persona of cruelty, even if they didn't like it. He was doing it to survive, he was doing it because he was desperate for some form of love or approval.
So when we see him in season 3, the reason he's behaving differently could be multiple things:
They are now attached to King and are trying to behave more like King to appease him because that's how he lived for multiple centuries
He never was genuinely evil or malicious, at least not to the extent that he played that part in season 2, though he potentially had some more callous tendencies due to the circumstances of his family and culture
He is no longer being actively abused and the less stressful environment has drastically improved his mood and mental health
I'm willing to bet it might even be all three at once. When you're in pain you are not your best self, pain makes you behave irrationally, angrily, cruelly, especially when the pain never seems to stop, and it's even worse when you're a child and might not even recognize what's happening to you. Belos being gone, and being around King, who is also a good kid with some occasional Mal-intent, "changed" their personality because they weren't conforming themself to play the stressful role of evil side-kick in an act of self-preservation.
So anyways the Collector is cool and I love them and want to adopt them and get him some therapy.

I'm not sure if you write for it but could I please ask for a yandere Senri x kianna head cannons please
Also my requests are open so feel free to send in a request
Yandere! Senri × Kianna Komori
Senri's school is actually pretty close to Kianna's so they meet eachother by accident often while they are going to school or when they are going home.
They didn’t thought of much of eachother more than a simple acquaintance, they talk to eachother sometimes but that's about it
Kianna thought that Senri is a pretty helpful guy...sure he's quite cold to her and doesn't seem to talk much but Kianna is cold to strangers too so it doesn't concern her the slightest, besides she does like people that could relate to herself especially if that person is her friend.
Senri however...he's actually hiding that he's having a crush on her very well, in fact even Kianna didn't even realize that he's even having a crush on her because he's so distant and cold towards her when actually he's suppressing his emotions for her from himself ( I have a feeling that she's good at catching liars lol )...he's a tiny bit of a tsundere...but also kind of a kuudere too?
Senri thought that Kianna is a sweet but incredibly brave and strong girl from the first time they met, at that time she was fighting some random thieves that's trying to steal her wallet at the alleyway that Senri always uses as a short cut to his home, she was caught using her powers mid fight right in front of him.. Look I know you've seen this before and this is not very creative of me but...nah I should stop rambling let's go on.
She was slightly injured from the fight and got a several of bruises and scratches on her arm...good thing that the thieves doesn't have any sharp objects on them or else Kianna would have a bunch of cuts and wounds on her body that is hard to treat as well.
Senri is kind enough to carry her to a clinic nearby and patch her up properly, though Kianna could take care of her injuries herself at home...she appreciated his help.
The next day, Kianna gave him some cookies she bakes herself as a thanks for tending her up, that's when she realizes that his school is close to her as well.
Okay, enough flashbacks. Let's just go back to the present!
Even though after all of that, they're still acquaintances...but that changes when Senri is starting to catch feelings for Kianna.
Instead of just confessing his love for her and being ture with his emotions, he was confused about what to do around her...he always like to see Kianna feeling genuinely happy even though it doesn't show up on her face sometimes or when she's flustered...he likes to tease her sometimes even though it ends up with a smack
Soon, Kianna began to notice that he's acting differently when he's next to her, First is that he's more timid and quiet around her...does that mean he's shy by her presence...she does reveal that she is inhuman after all so it's reasonable for him to be nervous but why now? A few weeks ago they're talking just fine (she doesn't know that he's a vampire...yet),
Second is that he seems to avoid her lately, Sure it might be because of the same reason as the first one but...it is kind of suspicious of him to suddenly going out of his way to not talk to her even when they're right next to each other, did he told someone about her powers? Hm...maybe she might be right to not trust him immediately when she first met him...
But even when she asked him if he had told anyone about her abilities...he just silently shook his head, it doesn't seem to be a lie by his body language so...what is he hiding then? Kianna thought.
Third, there's seems to be some random rose with a poorly tied ribbon tied on the stem and a love note on her front door-- wait...is that what she thinks it is?...shit how could she be such an idiot...
The love note is in hand writing too so...it is him.
And then she's like "Welp...he take me for a fucking idiot, I guess he's kinda hot. I wouldn't mind dating him." And from then on, Kianna is the one asking him on a date first.
The end! I was about to write how their relationship is like after that but...I've already written so much already so I'll stop...for now :)

Saw folks doing selfship templates sooo hopping on the bandwagon with these two! unaltered OG can be found here! This expands on the aesthetic version I'm working on for my About Me because I have many Thoughts about these two that I haven't had the spoons to draw for and one tiny little box won't explain why they "both" cook ( the answer is Sporty does it more bc he cooks healthier, but Sophia brings the entire town to the yard on mac n cheese Mondays )
- The relationship not only comes very close to not happening but Sportacus also comes dangerously close to losing a friend for good. He was trying to be respectful, to keep a friendly distance because he wasn't sure Sophia felt the same way and didn't want to assume, but his plan to bite back his feelings for the sake of keeping her close backfired spectacularly when she took this as an implicit sign of rejection Note: he did not ever say no and they did not discuss dating. It was a topic neither of them broached. A + communication here, absolutely stellar /sarcastic - As an ADHDer with poorly treated symptoms, Sophia is unable to mask and is well aware that her heart is glued to her sleeve. She'll never be content with friendship but for at least the first two months she thinks she can pretend, for his sake. She can quietly fall apart when she thinks no one is looking. Cue Stephanie's 3rd try at an appreciation party and the realization that... the artist knows a lot about this guy that most people don't, but she actually can't be in the same room with him anymore. Not for something she helped plan so intricately, not for something made with a love that is eating her alive, not for something about him. If she hears him call her "friend" one more time she will Simply Die - Sophia has been rejected before. Publicly. Multiple Times. She would rather unceremoniously cut people out of her life than set herself up for that again and is fully prepared to do exactly that. - This goes about as well as expected with Sportacus, who is devastated at the thought of the person he adores more than anything else just,, not being in his life anymore... so when she starts avoiding him after the final time that he confirms "you are my friend", he takes it pretty hard - Robbie is LIVING for this... at first. He has no idea what brought on the change but he could have never dreamed that the thorn in his side could become such a soggy wet cat on main and he is soaking up his nemesis's misery, reveling in that delicious humiliation. He doesn't even NEED a Rotten Plan TM - He's not so excited, however, when his best friend stops sleeping, stops laughing, stops singing. She won't eat his cake anymore and he hasn't seen such a dark hopeless look in her eyes in years. She's hurting and he doesn't like THAT one bit - Stephanie to the rescue! She knows exactly what's up and cutely sets the pair up for a talk without telling the town storyteller - This is the first and one of the only times Sportacus sees Sophia angry and he is stunned. He had known something was off but he could never have imagined how he came across to her or how deeply she felt about him or just how much he hurt her without even knowing. - "We are NOT friends. I can't pretend, not when I've loved you my whole life" ( A slight exaggeration considering that she has known him three months, but it gets the point across that she's never been normal about him and suddenly he realizes exactly how bad the both of them have been at communicating. Oops ) - The rest of their relationship goes pretty smoothly up until Robbie connects the dots. Sophia has to get her scissors out again for a different person this time but that may or may not be an infodump for a different template >. > - Realistically she knows that Sportacus is not the type either of her exes were but you get lied to enough you learn not to trust people - He doesn't take it personally. He is pretty horrified when he hears the way she was treated before she moved across the pond though and it convinces him to take a closer look at his policy of trying to befriend people unconditionally. This also convinces him to strengthen his boundaries with the town and start teaching the kids about consent and the importance of ✨ honest conversation ✨ lest they also find themselves shrugging off being poisoned and smiling politely at being pressured into remote controlled shoes... or ghosted by their zing

More Song the Ninjago Fandom is missing out on
Alright folks guess who's back with more songs for you AND a playlist with them!
I've been having fun with this and I love talking about why I associate certain songs with certain characters I love doing it and I really do wish I was able to do animatics myself. But any who here are more songs! (Song-artist)
AS ALWAYS MAJOR SPOILERS
Violet- Marianne Ross: This song is SOOOOO Lloyd thinking about Harumi (I will in fact ignore Crystalized existence again), like it's all about thinking about someone who hurt you deeply and still thinking of them even though they treated you poorly. Lyrics: "When I think of violet I think of you I see you tryin got make is cool" Harumi trying to justify herself to Lloyd. "My mind reminds me of a purple hue, matched the sight of another bruise" Do I have to say more? Like Lloyd clearly cared about Harumi and she emotionally and physically beat the shit outta him
Like a Villain- Bad Omens: This song could totally be used for Morro or Garmadon in my opinion, the song is about someone talking to a person who unknowingly or not pushed them past the edge of no return. Lyrics: "Look into my face then look again we're not the same we're different" For Garmadon this could be a representation of the Great Devourer taking over his mind and transforming him and for Morro this could his transformation from a starry eyes kid to a depressed and evil ghost. "You need a new clean slate with out the dents" This could be either of them addressing Wu cause lets be honest neither of them have an all to peachy relationship with him, Morro especially who saw Wu with this new set of Ninja who are happier than he ever was who Wu treated like family while pretending Morro never existed. "I know that you tried your hardest I know that you meant well but you pushed me to the edge and I slipped and then I fell" For Morro this could totally be Wu's intense training and the way he made Morro believe he'd be the green ninja only for that to be false which kinda drove him crazy, or it could be used for Garmadon on him and Wu's journey in Spinjitzu Brothers to find the tea to heal Garmadon while the journey was supposed to get something to heal Garmadon it ended up just making him feel worse about himself and his place in the world. There's a bunch more awesome lyrics but we'd be here all day if I explained all of them.
Fourth of July- Sufjan Stevens: This one is a teny tiny bit of a reach but hear me out. Zane and his father. So we know that Dr. Julien passes away sometime I believe before season three takes place and it's said he died of natural causes and I'm just saying this could make a pretty decent song since I feel like Zane and Dr. Julien's really sweet father son relationship gets over looked a bit probably since he died so early on and we didn't get to see Zane mourn much afterwards. Lyrics: "And I'm sorry I left but it was for the best" Could totally be used for when Dr. Julien turned off his memory switch and everything. I don't have many particular phrases since the song is almost like a back and forth, but there are a lot of bird references which also works well for Zane.
Icarus-Luvbug: Now this could work for a couple different Ninjago parents since it's mostly about losing a child but I think it would work best with either the FSM feeling bad for what happened to Garmadon (if you want to make him less awful that is cause in cannon his feels about Garmadon are... slightly concerning like sir you're not supposed to hate your own child) Garmadon feeling bad about how Lloyd had to "kill" the child part of himself to lead the ninja, or Maya after Nya merged with the sea and how she wanted to badly to be there for her only for her to end up gone.
Little Lion Man- Mumford & sons: Misako and Lloyd, just trust me okay? Like it's all about someone blaming themselves how someone turned out and in a better world we would have gotten Misako canonically feeling awful for how Lloyd's childhood went due to the fact she decided to dump him gods know where (Darkly's is a boarding school and Lloyd doesn't remember his mother when he meets her so I'm assuming he was probably somewhere else before there?) but instead I'll settle for fan interpretation and I feel like this song would make a great Misako animatic. "But it was not your fault but mine, and it was your heart on the line" and "Now learn from your mother or else spend you days biting your own neck" and "Tremble for yourself, my man, you know that you have seen this all before"
Sorry the list is a little shorter this time but honestly sometimes I don't have full explanations for songs I just have like general vibes, like my excuse is literally just: trust, with little to no explanation. Like:
The Archer- Taylor Swift: Lloyd, Cole or Sora
Don't meet your idols- Everybody's worried about Owen: Jay (cause his bio father was his idol ig?) or Nya (I have no clue man)
Your sister was right- Wilbur Soot: Jay
Punching Bag- The Front Bottoms: Kai
Runs in the Family-Amanda Palmer: Lloyd, Garmadon, Wu, Cole, Sora and honestly just most of them tbh
Friends- Sonic Sea Turtles: Cole, Lloyd, Jay and Garmadon
Idk y'all my brain is actually just one big Lego brick.

I love your opinions on r0nance so much. If you ever bring Steve up to the shippers they always start talking about how you can't insert a man into a wlw ship/relationship. As if he isn't integral to both their stories in the show. He's Nancy's ex and they dated for a year and he's Robin's best friend. If he was only one of those things it wouldn't matter, but he is both. And you can't separate them. If it wasn't for Steve, Nancy would have never acknowledged Robin. She didn't know who Robin was in S3 and it's heavily implied that she didn't care and wasn't interested in anything about Robin until she was useful. If Robin wasn't friends with Steve she wouldn't have become involved with the Upside Down, and Nancy never would have noticed her.
thank you! yeah I was writing that answer and thinking "literally so many of my issues with this ship and how it's approached have nothing to do with Steve. woah" though obviously i really hate how poorly robin and her relationship with steve is treated/written within the ship. why make her mean, or purposefully deceitful in a way she knows will be hurtful to her best friend? :( if you have to butcher a character/their relationship with another character for a ship...is that worth it? seems kinda vindictive too like what did power QPR duo stobin do to make ppl want to break them up? they hate to see bad bitches winning XD
I think taking criticism of how the robin and steve dynamic is treated in r0nance fic and saying that people saying those things are just making a wlw relationship about a man is sort of...idk. not insulting but. insincere? about how they care about characters, because like. this is a man whose relationships with these women is deeply influential to who they are and how they met. Robin is Steve's best friend. She wants to combine into an ultimate being with him. She made a crush she had about Steve, she's just going to insert him into her romo relationships and her partners are gonna have to deal with her weird obsession with her bestie! Nancy is his ex! Who cheated on him!! Both of them have history with steve, and that history influences dynamics! If we use rebel robin, she longs to find her people, real friends she can trust and talk to and click with without worrying about being too much. Steve is Robin's person. She puts a great deal of weight on her platonic relationships, and we see that with steve! Her thinking about how her actions would affect him is not centring a wlw relationship on a man it's being a good and loving friend!!
totally agree, Robin and Nancy's relationship with each other is pivoted on steve, because he's their point of commonality! He's the reason they know each other, (and also are alive), and has/had intense and deeply meaningful relationships with both of them, that have helped to informed who all three of them are!
Nancy's relationship with steve is tied to her grief and guilt surrounding Barb, and their involvement with the upside down. Treating it like it didn't mean anything to either of them is a disservice to that year they spent dating. yeah, maybe it wasn't a relationship meant to last, maybe it wasn't good for them or was cliche adolescent first love but it was important to steve, and important enough to Nancy that she stayed in it. tbh disregarding the s4ncy history and how steve loved her happens in a lot of fics, so it's not only a rnce problem, but it's a particularly annoying thorn when combined with steve's bff not caring about it or how he feels about it? doesn't feel like robin to me.
#anti ronance#robin buckley#nancy wheeler#steve harrington#stranger things#stranger things meta#findaanswers#anonasaurus#finda's rambles#i answered that ask purposefully leaving steve out of most of it just to show that while I don't like it because of how weird it is with#steve's relationships with both of them there are also many other reasons i don't like it#i guess?

so i've been thinking about vegaspete, and kinnporsche, and the parallels of abusive behavior for these two pairings.
cw: discussions of emotional, physical and generational abuse
both pairs start with one person in significant power over the other. kinn has just strongarmed porsche into becoming his employee, and vegas has imprisoned pete. they both then follow a remarkably similar set of events.
kinn and vegas force porsche (ep2-3) and pete (ep10-11) respectively through a combination of both physical and emotional abuse. this abuse is expected given the power dynamic.
kinn and vegas start to treat porsche (ep3-4) and pete (ep11-12) differently than they should be treating them. nicer, if you will.
kinn and vegas have a sexual encounter with porsche (ep4) and pete (ep12) respectively.
kinn and vegas enact physical and emotional abuse on porsche (ep5) and pete (ep13) again, after an ill-fated encounter with each of their fathers. however, the abuse hurts porsche and pete much deeper than before, not just because of the sexual encounter, but because of the emotional bond that served as a foundation for said encounter.
porsche and pete cannot bear it, and they leave kinn (ep5) and vegas (ep13).
kinn and vegas go looking for porsche (ep5) and pete (ep13) to apologize.
kinn (ep6) and vegas (ep14) apologize again, with more gravity.
kinn and vegas tell porsche (ep6) and pete (ep14) that they can and should leave.
the details vary. kinn tends more towards direct emotional abuse (telling porsche he's being treated just like everyone else / like nothing, demoting him and trading him away) and indirect physical abuse (punishing him via the bodyguard system). vegas is inflicting all kinds of abuse on pete, all by his own hands. but at their cores, the journeys look EXTREMELY similar.
and then, of course, they diverge.
at its heart, the vegaspete storyline in s1 is about the cycles of abuse, and what it means to break free of them. gun inflicts abuse on vegas, vegas turns around and inflicts it on pete. pete does not stand for this and leaves, which leads to vegas refusing to perpetuate his part of the cycle, thereby allowing pete to stay free -- but vegas is still trapped in the cycle by gun.
then gun gets killed.
through almost no action of his own, vegas is free. pete sees this, and understands what it means, whether consciously or subconsciously: pete can return to vegas. and pete can now trust fully that vegas will treat him well, since vegas is not trapped himself. pete won't have to be constantly looking over his shoulder for the next time gun sets vegas off.
vegas is so fucking lucky that he didn't have to break out of the cycle himself. if gun had continued to live, perhaps in a world where there was no coup, vegas could not have had both gun and pete. he would have had to choose, and choosing pete would have meant dethroning his father. fighting back against your abuser, when they are also your parent? an insurmountable task. suffice to say, it would have been terrible for vegas.
but, for better or for worse, korn took care of that for him. and now the vegaspete arc has reached its resolution. they've broken free. they can start healing.
kinn... kinn is very much not free.
and we kind of see the consequences of that through the latter half of the show. kinn loves porsche. i don't think there's any doubt about that. but that love doesn't stop kinn from occasionally treating porsche very poorly. he doesn't tell porsche anything about tawan, and porsche tries to do his best with the information he has -- and when it backfires horrendously, kinn asks porsche to apologize without taking any blame for himself.
i would consider this emotional abuse. and maybe you would disagree, but there's another very similar incident in the show that i think firmly counts as emotional abuse: korn lying to kinn about his death.
kinn thinks his dad is dead, and then days later his uncle comes to attack. kinn tries his level best to push through his grief and defend his household with little to no help. and after a terrifyingly high body count, kinn runs into a hidden room, and his dad is there, and his dad is alive, and his dad says nothing to him.
not a single acknowledgement of the fake death, let alone an apology. no blame assigned to korn. just kinn, alone, reeling from the fallout of his dad having lied to him in the most cruel way possible.
and why doesn't kinn protest this? well, for one, it's his dad. see previous statement about that kind of thing being extremely difficult. but two, and this is much worse, kinn probably believes that his dad was in the right. he's fallen for it, hook line and sinker. it was okay for korn to not trust him, to use him as a means to an end -- because korn is in charge, and korn knows what's right.
and this is the exact abuse kinn perpetuates to porsche for the tawan incident. he expects porsche to step in line. he doesn't think porsche is in the right to ask for mutual trust, because misplaced trust ruins plans. kinn is in charge, and kinn knows what's right.
cycles of abuse. over and over. and again, if gun had stayed alive, vegas may very well have been stuck in a similar position.
but here's another difference between the two couples, and i think it matters tremendously. pete left, and pete didn't come back until gun was dead. vegas might not have been free, but at least pete had escaped from the line of fire.
porsche left, and came back, and put himself right back into the cycle he had originally tried to run away from.
this is very much not good for porsche. kinn will continue to perpetuate the abuse korn inflicts on him, in between showering porsche with love. and it's going to really fuck with porsche, just like it did in ep5. the only options that could make porsche's life abuse-free are if he decides to walk away, or if korn dies. and korn is much, much harder to kill.
i don't think the kinnporsche storyline in s1 is necessarily about the cycles of abuse the same way it is for vegaspete. both kinn and porsche start the season ensnared separately, and they end it ensnared together. the kinnporsche arc in s1 is more about love and corruption.
but in order for porsche to be happy -- truly happy, he's going to have to break the cycle he's trapped in. and if he tries it, he'll be forcing kinn's hand. kinn will have to choose between korn and porsche.
and it's a choice kinn's not going to want to make.
#and ofc we can trace all of this back to granpappy theerapanyakul 🙃#cycles on cycles on cycles#kinnporsche#vegaspete#kinn theerapanyakul#porsche kittisawasd#vegas theerapanyakul#pete saengtham#cw: abuse

Naomasa is a traitor working for AFO AU and him and Giran are a thing
hmm something like traitor naomasa or his sugar daddy giran... except something new...
1- Naomasa's father also had a truth-detection quirk, and AfO decided he wanted it. The father attempted to offer Naomasa's instead, then buy time by saying his other child could end up with it, but Naomasa's quirk is limited to activating with eyesight, and AfO wanted to be able to use it over the phone, so no dice. The father vanishes. Naomasa goes looking for him and learns what happens, with a warning to go back home and never tell his mother.
2- But his mother's husband just vanished weeks after she gave birth, and there are bills to pay. Naomasa, young and clever, thinks about his options and about how AfO apparently didn't take his father up on his offer, punish a family or force him to work to pay off the debt. Which means he probably values loyalty and wouldn't be the worst way to get money? probably? So when the kid goes back, AfO knows he's caught him, and tells him he'll pay an allowance for good grades- Naomasa could lend an ear places AfO can't get, but he needs to do well in school to get those places when he's grown up. Naomasa takes the deal, studies hard, etc, and starts as a guileless rookie with an open face and clear and uninteresting as a bit of plain glass.
3- except that is, of course, a facade. it's funny, if you frame your quirk as a truth-detector, people assume you're naturally honest. the fact that it is equally a lie-detector, and he'll have gotten at least a little more insight into every single bit of deceptive he's seen in decades does not seem to catch up to them. Naomasa doesn't ever mention a partner, they think he's simply too focused on the job, or in love with someone as equally plain and nice as him, and keeping personal life away from professional. (absolutely no one would think he'd have started teasing the manager of the villain's intelligence gathering as a dare before it got physical, then emotional. and not just because of the fact that naomasa's gathered some of that intelligence)
4- Naomasa appreciates how Giran wears his masks more naturally than Naomasa does- he's heard Giran introduce himself by a dozen different names, none of them 'real'- but all of them with a shade of truth in what Naomasa sees. His loyalty's far brighter than AfO's, and deeper than what many of their other underlings have for their sensei. Giran appreciates Naomasa's loyalty in return, and finds him amusing. After so many years, they've got a great way of knowing each other without having to say things out loud. Naomasa never asks why Giran agreed to help KD save his daughter, and Giran never asks why Naomasa had All Might ruin Six's plan to save his sister.
5- Naomasa looks so poorly when seen after Kurogiri's arrest because he hasn't heard from Giran in months but can't do much to find out more while on such a high profile case. Not that anyone really knows how to get anything out of kurogiri, so he's not obvious or anything, but he still can't leave. It'd be out of character. Finally, he gets a message- Giran lets him know he's been rescued, going to lay low a bit, heal. Concerned, Naomasa asks how the others are- but Giran says that at least none of them questioned when he said he'd be gone a few days to get something for his hands. at least he's trusted to return, if not treated like one of them anymore. more a loyal dog than a respected colleague. and that's more machia's speed anyway, not Giran's. Naomasa says that's good, and decides that though he's certainly not going to help the heroes find any locations, he isn't going to send a tip about the day the heroes plan to attack either. After all, its not like he technically works for shigaraki anyway. Giran's actually the one who's arranged Naomasa's pay since he graduated, and before that it was one of Ujiko's child minders who got thrown in the nomu soup a few years later. No one in the league is sure where Giran was during the attack at the villa but assume he must have been taken, when they spare a thought for him, and Detective Tsukauchi is missing assumed dead after the battle of Jakku.

It's fun to see how your BG3 Tav's/Durge's personality develops over time, they really have minds of their own even if you had a plan when first designing them. These are the ones I've made so far:
Cirrus (tiefling sorcerer):
My first Tav, I didn't have any set plans for him beforehand. When designing his looks I made him heterochromatic and when I found a hairstyle that mostly covers one eye I immediately thought "oh, he covers his demonic eye because he doesn't like it when people stare at it" which set the tone for his character.
Now he is by far the most developed of my Tavs, I know his upbringing and how his life progresses after the game setting. Over the course of his playthroughs he developed into a mostly gentle and very kindhearted character, very confident in his magic but with a certain degree of social anxiety from being poorly treated for his looks most of his life.
Cirrus struggles to resist the charms of a strong man, gets a lot more confident and rather flirty when tipsy, can be very reckless (especially if magic is involved) and loves reading/learning new things.
He falls head over heels for Wyll and is as much a hopeless romantic as him; the rest of the camp goodnaturely rolls their eyes at their lovesick antics.
--
Eldora (dragonborn paladin)
Regretfully my least fleshed out Tav yet, but I went into creating her with the idea of a 100 % gold character - gold dragonborn with golden armour etc. I guess some of that later transferred to my 5E Gold dragon character Sorrel.
Eldora is righteous, proud, a bit naive as she is mostly familiar with the dragonborn clan way of life. Classic "I'm not mad, just disappointed" mentality. Expects everyone to do their best, can come off as mean but means well.
Fell quickly for Karlach, appreciating how honest and straightforward she is while feeling deeply for her predicament. She's more than willing to get her snout scorched for a few hot kisses.
--
Castor (half-elf druid)
My first durge, going semi-blind into that storyline. I chose druid because I liked the idea of a durge that turns into a wild animal to quench their bloodthirst. He's far less concerned with the "commune with nature" aspect but will not stand for cruelty towards animals.
Castor is developing into someone who will not willingly submit to anyone else - not even the murderous thoughts that inflict on his mind. He relies a lot on being intimidating and will never back down from a challenge.
He sympathizes with Shadowheart, who like him remembers little of her past; he also enjoys being around her in general and likes her sense of humour. At the time of writing they've just had their first kiss.
As intimidating as he can be towards his opponents, he's shown some tendencies of a softer side among people he trusts, though his attempts at being friendly need some... polishing ("do you like having your belly rubbed?").

I'm slowly loving the Crepus slander 😂
That what if Crepus comes back to live thing, how does Kaeya react and do when he sees that Crepus is an asshole to his very own son?
I'm just hungry for protective Kaeya shit 🗿👌✨
You know I have several essays about why he sucks?
And I've been considering researching child psychology and finding papers to scientifically prove he's a bad dad, like legit. I have some experience writing academic papers, and I might as well put this knowledge to good use.
Let me also tell you about my story with Kaeya. I used to hate him because of Venti's Story Quest and his own quest. Because in Venti's his line in that was so fucking outta pocket and unnecessarily hurtful just to "Please drink responsibly"
It didn't help that I was exposed to "fanon" Kaeya a lot. And that's a whole other mess.
So I was like, you know what. Let's change this around a bit. And I started to think of him more how I think of Ayato. Someone who recognizes that they are bad and keep doing bad things because it still causes a good outcome. And Kaeya gets a sprinkling of the depresso and over protectiveness of Diluc because he recognizes how much he hurt Diluc, and he never wants Diluc to be hurt again.
And you know with each update with him in it. My vision of that keeps getting clearer and more backed up. I did kind of do an "I told you so post" when his conversation with Dain happened, and he said, "I think my dad just left me there to be happy."
SO YEAH.
I think Kaeya is very protective of his brother.
So Crepus coming back. And now, being an adult and Kaeya can see how poorly Diluc is treated. And how favored Kaeya is. (Because he had to be favored IMO) Especially since Kaeya is still a knight.
Kaeya would be like
"No, no, no! Hold the fuck up. You should be showering and spoiling your son! Not me! He's been hurt by everyone! And he can still find it in his heart to try and save them! To be kind. You don't get to praise me when I am not even proud of this job. But I am damn proud of Diluc! He's doubled the winery's income and made drinking better for everyone! He's sweet and kind and the best person in Mondstadt. And I won't allow you to come here and shit all over him just because he doesn't were some stupid uniform anymore!"
And while Kaeya normally likes to keep his distance from Diluc. (Insecurity and feeling of not deserving to be there) I think while Crepus is around, he would stick closer to Diluc's side to butt Crepus out. Because while Crepus being there would bring out a bit of the younger Diluc, Kaeya would see just how fragile and trusting young Diluc was and how much Diluc is still that person in some ways. But He could also see how Crepus keep constantly failing Diluc. In giving him an unobtainium goal to reach and making it feel Crepus's love is tied to the goal.
So yeah, he'd let Diluc nowhere near Crepus.
There is also the back from the dead angle, which is how Kaeya would probably play it off to Diluc because god forbid they actually tell each other their honest feelings.
#diluc#diluc ragnvindr#kaeya#kaeya alberich#this is what made me build kaeya#to the point I got ayaka's sword#and gave it to him#AND I HAVE AYAKA#crepus slander#he's mostly a support tbh tho

new tlou episode woo
i know he's on the brink of death, but i wish joel was a bit more convincing/angry when telling ellie to leave
i wish riley fake bit ellie in the beginning, this wasn't the best intro to her character imo
i loved the escalator scene awww my baby girl ;-;
i liked the set up to the mall, the old building, the parkour, it gave them time to talk, but the pacing didn't drag at all
you can really tell what type of person wrote ellie's dialogue about fedra ughh i hate the whole "people start killing and losing their minds without the right person leading them" and this is the second time we got to see that anti revolutionary rhetoric (kansas city) and there are so many implications with that ugh i hate it i hate it
the reveal of the mall lights was so cute, riley knows ellie loves to be surprised <3
all the wonders were cute i'm not gonna write "cute" every time lol
i didn't really feel the chemistry between the two of them, idk maybe riley was a bit too reserved? i watched this ep with my mom who didn't play the game and she agreed. i think bella did a great job portraying the tween crush energy, but i think storm was a little too distant imo
i didn't cry as much as i thought i would, but who knows maybe i'm just worn down by the amount of crying i did in every ep so far lol
the ending was great, i really feel the bond between joel and ellie, maybe even more than at this point in the game?
i wonder what this means for the david plot, are they going to cut it to be shorter, cut it entirely? idk i can't wait for next week but also i want there to be 20 more eps
tell me more of your thoughts i need to know everything <33
really? i think i (respectfully) disagree with a lot of your opinions here jfkjsds but that's okay!! i don't want to sound like i'm just arguing with you at all, because your interpretation is just as true as mine :')
i thought joel was really convincing in the short time we saw him. he doesn't want ellie to leave, but he needs her to. the guilt of knowing that he's holding ellie back is more painful to him than the wound he sustained and the threat of death, but, in a very human way, he doesn't want to be alone :( i also think he knew it was pointless to argue with ellie, because nothing he said would change her decision. i thought he did a great job showing those conflicting emotions
i liked the way the introduced riley! it's actually one of the only changes i appreciated. riley saying "in my head, that went well and you thought it was really funny" was a cute nod to how that scene went in the game! it captured the same awkwardness from riley and poorly contained hurt from ellie that the game displayed
i actually hard disagree with hating the FEDRA dialogue. in my opinion, that was spot on for where ellie's character was in that moment. she grew up with FEDRA since she was literally an infant and she never had any other sort of family to base her world view upon. all she's ever known is FEDRA. ellie was clearly favored by the guards and was treated better than someone like riley, who was too rebellious for such a straight laced faction - it's why riley felt such a sense of belonging with the fireflies, in a way that she hadn't felt since she lost her family. it's clear that ellie doesn't agree with FEDRA if she thinks about it for more than 2 seconds, but she's been trained to trust them her entire life. her gut instinct is to defend them. she's only 14 and propaganda is a powerful thing! i disagree that the show is trying to say that people need a leader to survive, because we saw the exact opposite in jackson. they are the only community we've seen be happily thriving, and they're communists fjksjds and the show made it very clear that kansas city is not a desirable place to live. one corrupt government was overthrown to make way for another corrupt government. maybe i'm misunderstanding what you said? let me know!!
i felt like riley and ellie had a lot of chemistry. ellie's crush was obvious, but riley is a much more subdued and private person, not just in relation to romance, but in everything. she didn't even want to tell ellie she joined the fireflies, a HUGE life change, and she can't put it into words why. she was afraid to face ellie for months. so it made complete sense to me that we wouldn't know whether or not riley feels the same way; she keeps everything close to the vest, especially a crush. but it's obvious she cares deeply about ellie, or she wouldn't have gone to all these lengths to make her happy. she could've left without ever speaking to ellie again, but she couldn't bear it. i think that's all we really needed to know. her actions spoke much louder than words
in the preview for next week's episode we see david! it'll just be one episode, which i think is plenty of time to get through that plot. if you really think about it, 80% of that story line is grueling gameplay, so it'll fly by without that. i'm ready to be emotionally destroyed 👍🏻
