I wonder if the reason Liam didn’t release till 2019 is that at heart he’s just not an artist, he’s a performer. He’s said himself he doesn’t know who he is so he doesn’t know what to write. Therefore his label would have had to work far harder at getting writers in, and do they work well with Liam? Possibly not…he’s weird and unreliable. Days, weeks, months go past with no progress, perhaps. Plus he’s obviously spending hours a day on his phone messaging women, he’s got his own version of OnlyFans going on 🫣 and that eats into writing time surely.

All the predatory behaviour aside, if he could just perform regularly, in a musical or something, I think he’d manage. The pressure seems to be on him to do the standard single1, single2, album, tour cycle - from where I don’t know - and he’s far too messy in various ways to provide that. Look at the ‘studio’ he tried to tell Snapchat fans he’d set up in the new house. A laptop and a couple of speakers. No microphone, no work happening. Fooling nobody that he’s got songs happening there. (Predict his label will drop him soon so maybe it doesn’t matter.)

He isn't listed as a co-writer on the majority of his songs, but that's the case for a lot of singers in the pop genre, and certainly doesn't make the process more laborious. The label buys songs that are already complete and then the singer copies the vocal in the studio.

Having someone like Louis who doesn't have any musical knowledge trying to direct songwriting sessions is way more frustrating and really slows the process down.

For everyone asking about results — I have decided the vast majority of them (though these won’t be a casting, I need to work more closely with those who have gotten through to the second round before I decide that). They are coming out, some have gotten then already, but at a slow pace because I’m extremely busy this week with real life things. It’ll clear up next week but know I haven’t forgotten or something, I just don’t have the time or energy to spare right now.

The use of the red cuffs for the boys and the white gloves for the back up dancers draws more attention to the movement of the arms/hands and that is what makes their performances so incredible to watch bc everyone has to be very sharp and precise with their movements.
