I don't care if his memories were wiped and replaced, Jason was an asshole to Reyna in Mark of Athena. I would hate the whole of mankind if I was in her place.

I don't think Annabeth was scared of Percy in Tartarus. She was scared for him, scared that he would lose himself. And I feel like this should have been clarified to Percy by her because he thought she was scared of him.

I think all of you are way too harsh on Percy's attitude towards Nico in the TLO and later. Why does everyone act like Nico is the only traumatised one out of the two? Percy does not have to be the perfect friend all the time, he needs that break.

I didn't like the way things concluded in the Sun and the Star. There was a build up about Will's darkness and we got only two sentences saying Will has a dark side too?? Where, may I ask?? Why don't you SHOW us the darkness in Will instead of saying 2 lines, cowards? They could have done an insane backstory on him, it is so annoying.

Poseidon can not be the half of the parent Hades is, sorry not sorry.

I don't see the appeal of Percy and Leo friendship. I don't also see Percy saying he failed Calypso because he didn't check on her in the fucking 2 days he was free after the war until Hera took him when he knows she cursed Annabeth. He could have said that if Calypso cursed him but not when she did to Annabeth.

I do think the show is quite misogynistic in some parts. And I hate people blindly defending the show. Poseidon is no better parent than Athena. I am tired of the show degrading a goddess, a mother on her relationship with her daughter then it was on the books and making Poseidon a far better father than the books?? Also why make Gabe better, like what the hell was the reason? Also why take Sally's defining moment of killing Gabe herself? None of this changes make sense to me.

Jason and Reyna could have been a great couple. Jason in result would have been much more of an interesting character if Rick decided to go through that route with Reyna. I love aroace Reyna but Rick fumbled Jason's character so bad he had to kill him to save Jason's arc. Why try to show constantly he is as strong as Percy? He is not Percy's level at all. Even Thalia is stronger than Jason. This was unnecessary to his character where it could have been much more intriguing.

that scene in tlo where thalia tells percy he can't start feeling sorry for luke bc luke made his choices. and thalia reveals that the reason they couldn't make it to camp in time for all of them to make it to camp was bc luke kept picking fights. and annabeth never saw this as wrong bc luke was her hero. so thalia had to pick up the pieces. and percy thinking both that luke was put in a cruel position and that luke was putting others in a cruel position. and percy is the only character who understood both sides of luke bc annabeth sees only the best of him and thalia sees only the worst. and that's why percy is the prophecy kid and the one who gives luke the knife. bc annabeth had spent the entire series essentially giving luke the knife when he didn't deserve it. and thalia was never going to give luke the knife. but percy is the only one who can see exactly when luke deserves the knife.

guys, Luke is the perfect child. Thats the whole point! He gave his offerings he said his prayers he went on his quest he proved his loyalty to Chiron, to the gods, to his dad. And he did it all with a smile. They have no reason to suspect luke! Luke is the best of them!

Ares could’ve come to that meeting waving a big sign that said “LUKES THE LIGHTNING THIEF” and they still wouldn’t have believed him.

Because they also don’t want it to be Luke.

They love Luke. Luke takes care of them Luke protects them Luke is everything they want in an older brother. It doesn’t matter how blaringly obvious the writers get about who the real thief is. They will ignore every sign, every red flag, every warning, until Percy is dying of poison deep in the forest and Luke is gone.

I think Percy is being written so far away from the character since the Demigods and Magicians. And yes that is a hot take but hear me out.

Why is Percy is getting written such as he is careless about his friends? Some guy whose character arc is literal loyalty, does everything that he does in the og books because of it, you are telling me that's how he would act like a normal friend? Like we are talking about the same boy who literally chose the properchy for himself to not let Nico go through such a thing and heaviness. Even though Nico hated his guts. Even after the The Last Olympian, Percy was content with Nico. After that coming out, why is Rick trying to get us feel as Nico and Percy has a strained Relation ship, like Percy is a careless villain. And You are telling me that PERCY GODDESS OF WISDOM TOLD ME THAT LOYALTY WILL BE WHAT FUCKS ME JACKSON would be just oh ok, sure go to Tartarus and be okay, I have a collage to get into in New Rome like..

That is Nico, going after Bob who Percy should have a massive feeling of remorse of after what happened. I get that Percy deserved to live happily with Annabeth and that but That is not who the character was. The character would have tried to go with Nico and Will without thinking. Sure going to Tartarus would be not logical at all, but he would have done that. We would have seen his dilema , internal struggle and being torn apart at Seeing Nico to go there. The boy who he promised himself to protect at all cost after all. Percy should not have been someone that Nico judged for being a bad friend, like Rick maybe just write the character when you get it right again.

Demigods and Magicians Percy was the Percy that I wanted to see after Heroes of Olympus and it was justice to his character after. I loved Percy's attitude in the first book, turning into that scary power filled warrior that protects his camp, friends with an incredible fierceness not making exceptions and , very cautious about New people, with a right amount of the beautiful sarcastic, silly beautiful child we knew. The one that loves Annabeth all over with an higher level that is not very Comprehensive to other. Why is Percy this relaxed especially after what happened to our Jason like seriously, that is supposed to be Percy?

Let Percy be Happy as he deserves, but not by leaving the character behind. That is what made us love Percy so much at the first stage. Percy is, should be an anti hero, not a regular one character that just fucks to some place leaving the camp behind. Thank you for the talk today.
