I have a flower shop/tattoo parlor maxiel + loscar AU building from a tropical storm into a hurricane in my head so here are some thoughts
+ When Max hires him, this is what he says to Logan’s arrangement: “It is not the worst thing I’ve ever seen. I can make it better.” What he really meant was that Max could make Logan better, but he wouldn’t come to understand that until later.
+ There’s a phone that sits on the back wall of Max’s shop. The first time it rang while Logan was working, he’d mistakenly answered it. He’d watched Max’s face go bleach white from across the shop as Logan answered “Hello, this is Verstappen’s Floral, how can I help you?” The barrage of angry Dutch he’d gotten back in return had shocked Logan into silence, making it easier for Max to steal the receiver from his hand. Now, Logan knows to just let it ring.
+ Oscar is pretty sure Daniel only gave him an interview because their moms are in a book club together. The owner of Honey Badger Tattoos was always friendly and outgoing but he was notoriously possessive about his art. In the ten years the shop has been open, it’s had four employees. Daniel Ricciardo, the founder, Daniel Kvyat, Daniel’s partner who he bought out after the first year, Lando Norris who worked part-time at the front desk, and now Oscar.
“I’ve never had an apprentice before, I probably wouldn’t be very good at it,” Daniel says during his interview. He’d said he liked Oscar’s work and already showed an interest in teaching Oscar more of his signature American style. But the guy was still hesitant, fidgeting with excess nerves. “Just ask Lando.
Lando nods from his seat at the front desk which Oscar can see from the open door of Daniel’s office. “He doesn’t know what he’s doing half the time, I wouldn’t trust him to teach other people.”
Daniel does not look like that’s the support he was going for, wincing at the dry criticism but not arguing.
“That’s fine,” Oscar confirms with a shrug. He’s already done the majority of his apprenticeship under Mark Webber. But when the man decided he’d had enough of the South of France and was selling the shop and moving back to Australia, Oscar had to look for somewhere else to work. “I only have six months left before I can get my certification.”
Daniel doesn’t look very reassured. Oscar can take a hint so he decides to get out before he’s kicked out.
“Hey, it’s cool, mate, thanks for meeting with me anyway-”
“Can you start next week?” Daniel asks, leg bouncing up and down and rocking the desk he’s sitting behind. He sees Oscar’s confused expression and sighs. “I really need more help here.”
“Yeah,” Oscar decides, not looking a gift horse in the mouth. “I’ll text you my schedule.”
And that’s how he starts working for the Honey Badger.
+ “This is a tulip,” Max is saying in French, word draw out and pointing at the multi-colored bulbs. Logan has tried telling him that he’s lived in Europe for the majority of his life at this point and can do his job in English, French, and Spanish but Max doesn’t believe him. At least Logan’s starting to pick up more Dutch.
Logan is rescued from his impromptu language lesson by the bell on the door ringing. He turns towards the sound, customer service smile already in place.
“Hi, welcome to Verstappen Floral, how can I-”
“Oh, it is you again.”
Logan stops and looks at Max who is frowning at the guy who just came in. The man is curly-haired and tanned, with tattoos scrawled over the majority of visible skin. His grin is big and toothy when he shoots it at Max.
“Hey, Maxy, aren’t you happy to see me?”
Logan blinks in shock at the nickname. Even their regular customers don’t get to act that familiar with Max. Logan doesn’t get to act that familiar with Max.
Max crosses his arms, lips pursing. “For the last time, I do not know what these flowers mean. I speak four languages and plant is not one of them.”
“Always a ray of sunshine, aren’t you, Max?” The man asks, unphased by Max’s grouchy demeanor. He leans forward onto the glass counter, certainly leaving smudges behind, but Max surprisingly doesn’t yell at him about it. “Lando sent me to pick up his order.”
Lando is someone Logan knows. He comes in about every other week and talks to Max about streaming and video games that partly goes over Logan’s head. He always leaves with a red and white bouquet, though the flowers change each time.
“Why could he not come get them himself?” Max grumbles, heading in the direction of the cooler where they kept to-go orders. Daniel shrugs and wraps his knuckles against the glass.
"He was late for a meeting or something, you know I don’t ask about his other job,” Daniel supplies. He changes his focus to Logan and the blond is met with the full force of the man’s mega-watt smile. Logan blames his mom’s genes for how easily he blushes. “Hey, you’re the new guy, right?”
Logan opens his mouth to answer but Max is suddenly im between them, Lando’s bouquet in his hands.
“Yes, this is Logan, no, he does not want any of your garish tattoos.”
Daniel pouts at Logan’s boss. He wonders how it doesn’t look strange for a guy who’s at least 30 to be pouting.
“Don’t be mean, Maxy. I wasn’t even going to mention the tattoos.”
Logan racks his brain for tattoo shops nearby. They obviously have a close relationship outside of just Lando. And Lando did say he worked for an artist…
“Oh hey, are you the Honey Badger?” Logan asks, moving his head to be seen around Max’s wider frame. Daniel jerks his eyes away from Max’s, as if he’s been caught doing something he shouldn’t. “I pass by there all the time. Not a lot of shops do American style out here.”
Daniel’s face lights up, looking between Logan and Max. “Max, you hired an American?”
Max sighs, more long-suffering than Logan thinks is necessary. “This is why I did not want you to speak with him. I knew you were going to be weird about it.”
“I’m not being weird!” Daniel argues. “I’m just surprised!”
Max and Daniel have another weird silent staring contest. Logan clears his throat reluctantly and they both snap to him.
“Um, where’d you learn to do that style?”
Daniel looks ready to excitedly burst into the story of his tattooing style and his interest in America, but Max cuts him off by pushing the bouquet into his chest.
“We do not have time for that, these are going to wilt. Take these to Lando.”
“Bossy, bossy,” Daniel murmurs, picking up the bouquet gently. He doesn’t sound annoyed by Max’s demands. Rather amused, actually. He shoots Logan another grin over Max’s shoulder. “I don’t envy you, mate. But hey if you want to talk tattoos, come by the shop sometime.”
“Definitely!” Logan agrees before Max can say anything else on his behalf. Daniel shoots him a one-handed finger gun before turning back to Max. His smile becomes a lot less joking and more sincere.
“See you later, Maximus”
Max loses some of his prickliness, voice soft when he says, “Goodbye, Daniel.”
+ There’s a man talking to Lando at the front desk when Oscar comes in that day. It’s neither of the two Oscar is used to seeing who come talk to Lando pretty regularly. Oscar’s pretty sure one of them’s his boyfriend and the other is his business partner but he can never tell which is which.
“Did you leave Logan alone at the shop?” Lando is asking while Oscar sets his station up.
“Well, I had to do it at some point,” the guy says, his accent reminiscent of German or Dutch. “What is the point of hiring another employee if I cannot leave for a few minutes?"
“Daniel never leaves me alone here,” Lando points out, a tad resentful. Oscar snorts.
“That’s because he has control issues,” Oscar claims. Both of the men look at him, one in amusement and one in confusion.
“Who are you?” The mystery guy asks. Weird, Oscar was going to ask him the same thing. He looks to Lando who makes the introductions.
"Max, this is Oscar, Daniel's new apprentice. Oscar, this is Max, one of our neighbors."
Oscar frowns. "I thought Max was your..." he trails off, leaving space for Lando to fill in the blank. He waves his hand.
"Different Max. This is Max Verstappen, he run's Verstappen Floral."
The new Max is still looking at him strangely. "Daniel does not take apprentices. He says he is a bad teacher."
Oscar shrugs, not sure what to tell him. He doesn't know how he got the job either. Luckily, he's saved from having to respond by Daniel coming out of the back office.
"Oscar, good, you're here, I wanted to talk about-" Daniel stops abruptly when he sees Max standing in the lobby. His entire demeanor shifts when he says, "Max, hey! What are you doing here?"
Daniel is normally a friendly guy, sometimes too much in Oscar's opinion, but he's practically glowing as he bounds over to Max. While Max's expression doesn't shift, his body language opens up to Daniel like one of his blooming flowers.
"I am talking to Lando about our stream tonight," Max answers. "He has not been very forthcoming with the details."
Lando tries to protest but even Oscar can see that it's a lost cause. This new guy showed up and suddenly it's like nothing else exists to Daniel. His boss giggles at nothing and that's when Oscar decides to get back to work.

Aries Moon ✧ Taurus Mars Allure
Complementary yet opposing, Mars and Venus resemble fraternal siblings—distinct in their approach, yet intrinsically linked in their pursuit of greatness. Mars, the courageous brother, achieves what he desires through direct and competitive action. His motto is, "To be exceptional you have to be alone, that's the life of a warrior." Venus, on the other hand, embodies grace and diplomacy. She wins her battles not through force, but through collaboration and the art of persuasion.
Venus, the hottest planet in our solar system, and Mars are both insatiably hungry for what they desire—their passions burning with equal intensity. The only difference lies in their approach: Mars believes the path to achievement is through fierce competition, rising to the top by outperforming others, while Venus believes true success comes from dissolving barriers, uniting people, and creating harmony.
This is the classic "Play Innocent" charm, where beneath a soft and welcoming exterior lies a powerful, primal energy. The native can shift between wild, unbridled eroticism (which often results in public scandals), and a polished, approachable image that draws in massive crowds with ease. Behind this duality are two bloodthirsty planets, both hungry for victory and recognition, creating an ever-present push-pull dynamic. When it comes to relations, these individuals tend to be both commanding and delicate, taking charge when needed, yet also able to yield in a way that drives others wild with desire.
Lmao, this is the placement of sexy, baby faces.

WARNING: House positions are up for debate since these are not confirmed birth times.
I did these based off tropical signs. I love the sidereal ayanamsas, but it feels right to start this series with the original solstice and equinox calculations. Feel free to think of these natives as sidereal Pisces and Aries natives!

Yesterday I was watching a few Tiktok and Twitter videos of Manon from Katseye and the drama happening right now surrounding her and her fellow Katseye members lately, and I've stumbled across a post on Twitter discussing what her real sidereal rising sign might be, so I had to hop on this topic too because she confirmed last year on a Weverse live right along with her members talking about their rising signs and Manon revealed that she is a Gemini Rising in Tropical which means she's a Taurus Rising in Sidereal!
So I pulled up her birth chart, she might be born around somewhere to 3:40 a.m. - 4:25 a.m. in the morning, but I listed her birth time at 4:20 a.m. (btw might not be her actual birth time) as you can see here in her chart above Manon has Ardra Sun and a possible Purva Ashadha Moon.
I am positive that Manon is Rohini Ascendant because of all the attention she's getting for her beauty along with the constant hate and jealousy from haters but at the same time Manon is loved and favored a lot by the masses and Moon rules over the masses. Many people go to the end of the earth defending her and also are one of Katseye's most popular members. Not only that but her middle "Manon" means "Beautiful Queen", and "The most beautiful" It was already written into the stars, Manon was literally born to be extremely beautiful, a star, and the favorite!
Her Ascendant Lord is Ashlesha Venus in 3H, and the 3H rules social media, apps, and communication. That's the reason why Manon's captivating beauty is constantly being talked about, and going viral on the internet and she's known to be the, "Pinterest Girl"
Onto her moon, in my opinion Manon is a Purva Ashadha Moon due to her first name, "Meret" meaning "Pearls", "Beloved", "The loved one", and "One who is worthy" All of these meanings is associated with Purva Ashadha, and Aphrodite is connected to pearls and being loved and admired by many and because of Aphrodite's beauty people were fighting over her, she was just too desirable, too lovable, too beautiful. I 100% see Manon's Purva Ashadha Moon showing when she's performing.
Last but not least Rohini Mercury & Rahu, and Mrigashira Saturn conjunct her Ascendant with Manon having all these three conjunctions to her ascendant it definitely affects her appearance. Manon's Rohini Rahu grants hypnotic eyes and feminine features, Rohini Mercury beautifully makes her appear even more youthful, and Mrigashira Saturn gives her straight eyebrows and prominent ears.
{21° Degree on her ascendant makes a lot of sense to me it represents traveling, foreign countries, new places, freedom, luck, wisdom, and because of Manon's jovial nature, and charisma. I had noticed in a lot of her fancams that she's very good at dancing in her lower body, Sagittarius rules over the legs, hips, and thighs.}

All Eyes On You - A. Aretas🫂❤️
Title: All Eyes On You - A. Aretas 🫂❤️
Fandom: “Bad Boys” Universe
Character: Armando Aretas
Pairing: Armando Aretas + Burnett!Female Reader
Main Storyline: When Detective Marcus Burnett has company at work, Armando notices.
Author’s Note: Here's another request. Enjoy! 💜 @omg-mymelaninisbeautiful
=====
2024
“I'll see you in a minute, alright? I love you too. Bye.” Detective Marcus Burnett hangs up this phone call after speaking with his daughter.
“That's Megan?” Longtime partner Mike Lowrey chimed with Burnett, nosey.
“Uh-uh. Her sister.” Burnett jokingly sighed for a second. “She decided to visit us again.”
“Here we go.” Mike acknowledged tropical snapshots that framed near the cubicle.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Marcus shook his head.
“Whatever.” Mike laughs while stepping from Marcus, yet briefly makes eye contact with his son Armando. “Don't act up.”
“What?” Armando seemed genuinely confused right now.
“Don't act up. Mike warned again. “Someone's visiting today.”
“What's the big deal?” Armando would keep shrugging.
“All right.” Mike then raised his brow toward Armando. “I had warnings, but don't cry to me when Marcus hunts you down for messing with his daughter.”
“Why would I…” Armando stopped debating once you entered the precinct.
_____
Fixing posture in his chair, Aretas turned silent, observing when Marcus greeted you.
“You actually made some time to see your old man.” Marcus spoke.
“God, stop it, Dad!” You laugh while hugging Burnett.
“Where's my niece?” Mike yelled through his cheerful announcement.
“Right here! Hey, Uncle Mike.” You waved toward Mike Lowrey with the biggest smile on face now.
“You're just showing off, huh?” Mike continued raving about your accomplishments. “Got a masters degree, too. How was your trip?”
“Great! Wanna see photos?” You recently traveled abroad.
Mike huddled with you and Marcus. Pictures tapped this beachfront collection on your phone.
“Nice. Let me introduce the team real quick and we'll go to lunch with your uncle, okay?” Your father Marcus worked out his tour guide spiel.
“Sounds good.” You beamed while heading toward another end of this large precinct.
Just when Mike turns the corner, he glances toward Armando.
“C'mon.” Lowrey gestured for his son to leave the desk.
“Are you sure?” Aretas nearly whispered to his biological father.
“Might as well rip off our bandaid.” Mike told the truth.
Damn, good point. Armando thought.
_____
The AMMO team welcomed you with open arms, despite this short visit to Miami.
“Kelly handles weapons, Dorn boots tech shit, and Rita isn't here, but she leads the whole squad from a separate office.” Pointing around the room, your father Marcus introduced comrades.
Kelly and Dorn greeted you as their voices resounded this wing.
“Hey, um. Can we talk?” Uncle Mike lifted his finger and you noticed him
“Is everything okay?” You questioned one of your favorite people on Earth. Mike always made you laugh growing up. Even Marcus stepped nearby.
“Couldn't really talk about this when you were little, but long story short, I have a son.” Uncle Mike revealed his truth.
“What?” You whispered toward Uncle Mike and your father Marcus nodded with confirmation.
“Yeah.” Uncle Mike noted the worried lump found in his throat.
“What happened, where is he?” You offered genuine concern.
“Right here. Pulled strings to help out and now works for us.” Uncle Mike stepped back while introducing you to his son. “That's Armando.”
“Oh, wow. Hi.” You knew better to ruin this moment and shook Armando's hand.
“Hey.” His slightly accented English caught your attention. “Nice sunglasses.”
“Thanks.” You accepted his compliment and played along to ease tension.
“You're welcome.” Armando barely smiled in return, still not flirting with you.
“Let's get something to eat. I'm starving.” Uncle Mike spoke up and you quietly invited Armando.
_____
This group of four joined one local restaurant and Armando sat right next to you, protective near the front door.
“They're not fighting each other, only talking. It's a miracle.” Your father Marcus jokes about you and this unexpected guy.
“Why would I fight with Armando?” You questioned Marcus.
“On rough days, he's stubborn just like your uncle.” Burnett continues.
“Uh-oh. What happened?” You chuckled and wanted to learn details.
“Telling us what to do, not listening, acting like the boss. Our list takes forever.” Your father Marcus counted.
“Got an attitude from me.” Uncle Mike offered his thoughts once more.
“Looks came from my mother.” Armando pulled this sly gesture and looked toward you.
“Did you just call me ugly?” Uncle Mike scrunched up his face while glancing toward Armando.
“Oh my God, Dad!” Even you laughed out loud with Marcus.
Armando smirked and paid the bill, guiding everyone out of this restaurant.
Sooner than later, you traded phone numbers with Armando and returned to Miami for good.
Home, sweet home.

Could you do someone political next? Like Barron Trump since his dad won the election again. He seems mysterious. Thank you 🙏
Sure, to my knowledge Barron Trump birth time is not confirmed.
At one point Trump was quoted on a call at around 6:30 AM saying the baby was born "20 minutues earlier". On a different occasion he was quoted saying "baby was born at 5:30 AM".
5:30 gives him an Aqua Ascendant in Vedic, 6:00 AM gives his a Pisces Ascendant. However, in tropical he remains a Pisces Asc through both times. Soo I decided to use tropical for his analysis - which often isn't as accurate or specific as vedic in predicting events. Rather it works better for personality so please keep that in mind.
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Barron Trump - Chart Analysis
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: Take it as entertainment because without exact birth time even the tropical chart can be off. AND If he was born after 6:05 that makes him an aries Rising - & this chart becomes very inaccurate.
Family/Childhood:
Gemimi IC conjunct Mars & Mars in 4th H - This can indicate his home life experiences more conflict than most families. There can be a lot of fighting and possibly aggression with his family life.
🦋 He can feel the need to prove himself to his family. There can be pressure to pick a side in arguments within the family/home (not politically but in family disagreements)
🦋 Mars in 4th generally won't express anger or aggression unless they feel comfortable with the other person and/or when they are at home. His mom can b like this too - the type of mom to wait until you guys get home to reprimand you.
🦋 The mother is VERY protective of him. She will get angry and fight on his behalf. He would be very protective of her too. However, there can be repressed/hidden anger about his childhood and/or his family members.
🦋 Gemini Mars gives a restlessness to his upbringing. He could have had a busy home, people constantly coming and going and/or he was constantly on the move.
🦋 4th H ruler (Mercury) in First House. This shows 4th house matters (family, home, private matters) strongly influence his First house (identity, life's direction).
🦋 Positive is this gives a strong inner fire. It shows someone who can speak up for what they believe and be highly independent. However, his 4th H ruler (Mercury) is in retrograde. This shows he's more reflective and reserved. He doesn't like to speak up because he feels he is often misunderstood when he does.
🦋 Mercury conjunct Uranus shows a unique way of communicating and thinking. He has an independent + rebellious mind - he may think differently from both his family and society. Many can't follow his train of thought as a lot of thinking is likely based on intuition/feelings. Others may feel he is not rational/practical. This shows an abnormal relationship with siblings too - relationship with his siblings could have ups and downs throughout his life. EXAMPLE: abnormal since they are much older than him soo ups & downs as to when he sees them/are close and when they are distant/living with their own families.
Sometimes this manifests as a speech or educational disorders - or simply trouble in communicating and education. However, this is very vague and Vedic is more specific in predicting these topics. I'm not sure but if he's bilingual - he could struggle more in his second language.
🦋 Sun in First House shows a dominating father. The father is in an authority. In First H, his father influences a large part of his persoanality. His Sun is a leo degree, his father is a Leo sun. In his chart, Leo rules his 6th H of obstacles/disputues & ruler Sun going in First H shows Sun (father and other authority figures) bring obstacles into his life. He may dislike and secretly hold a bit of resentment for how other's perceive him due to the authority figures in his life.
🦋 In his case, his Moon in Sag manifests very literally. Sag shows travel, higher education, religion, different cultures/what's foreign, etc. His mom is a foreigner and shows him a different culture from what is around them. Moon in 10th can sometimes indicate the mother takes on the masculine/father role as well. She can be more controlling/dominating and the main authority in his life. Moon in 10th shows personal matters becoming public too.
Personality:
First H ruler (Jupiter) in 9th H and Sag Moon shows he values education - formal or informal. He likes new experiences and broader topics. He could have interest in foreign topics - travelling to foreign places and/or learning about them.
Pisces Asc with ruler traditional ruler Jupiter in Scorpio and modern ruler in 12th H emphasizes his private nature. He may be untrusting of others. He could feel people make assumptions about him rather than getting to know him - this is Scorpio and Pisces's influence.
Saturn Retrograde in 6th H shows he feels burdened with too much responsibility too soon. This can be much later in his life too - but when something goes wrong, it feels like everything is going wrong at once.
Romantic Relationship:
Venus conjunct Chiron heartbreak is inevitable. Venus conjunct Neptune he won't see these partners for who they truly are. 7th H ruler conjunct Uranus shows he may experience on and off connections. There can a lot of instability in his relationships.
7th H may be Virgo but ruler is retrograde conjunct Uranus. This indicates the spouse doesn't have the typical virgo influence. She isn't a traditional, controlling & grounded personality, she likes socializing/connecting with different types of people, she enjoys letting loose and having fun. She is likely very spontaneous. An issue could be she doesn’t respect boundaries - intentionally or unintentionally. Her personality is like an electric shock. His spouse can present normally to the public so outsiders won't know but in private people will be SHOCKED at his choice. Specifically, his mother may not like her. His choice in women can be rebellious.
7th H Lilith + 12th H Venus shows secret relationships too. Cheating could occur in relationships - this doesn’t have to be the marriage, it could be heartbreak he experiences when dating.
Lilith in 7th house, Venus in Aqua, 7th H ruler retrograde conjunct Uranus STRONGLY emphasizes he chooses partners who are controversial. The spouse and/or married life doesn't conform to traditions. This can manifest in many ways: Spouse is from a different culture, Spouse has an out-of-box way of thinking and behaving (yet similar to his unique way of thinking). It’s like he doesn’t feel comfortable expressing his wild and possibly critical and unconventional side so he sub consciously chooses a partner who will do it for him.
This can even indicate the marriage is abnormal - ex: open relationships, sudden wedding - marrying "too soon", no marriage at all, courthouse marriage/no wedding.

Alright, due to popular request, I bring you the break down of the Taiwan Disease Personifications. Also, just so y’all know, the official explanations for the designs are not easy to find, so a lot of this is just from what I notice and what I know about the diseases
To start off, we have everyone’s favorite disease: COVID-19
So, this is one of the designs where I could actually find the artist explanation, so I will be including that information plus a couple things I noticed and how I think it fits the disease. So let’s start with to crown. The reason for the inclusion of the crown is the reflect the name coronavirus, corona being the Latin word for crown. The face is partially obscured because of COVID’s tendency to hide itself. The bean bag chair that they are sitting on has many protrusions signifying the spike proteins. The different digital devices represent how the world went virtual during the pandemic and the news channels behind them represent the media’s freak out when COVID was at its height. The floor has an outline of the world because everywhere was affected by the pandemic. Also, if you look closely, they are wearing little Covid earrings.
Next up, we got Zika:
I could not find an official artist statement for this design, so take my explanation with a grain of salt. So first off the red waist band reminds me of the red stripe that goes down the abdomen of the mosquito species that spreads Zika after it has fed. Also, the white markings on the black are also a characteristic of this species of mosquito. In fact, the design is the stripes on the chest look like the markings these mosquitoes have on their back. She presents female because it’s the female mosquitoes that bite and spread diseases. Her sleeves look like mosquito wings once again a reference to mosquitoes being the primary vectors of Zika. The area behind her has palm fronds to represent that Zika is a disease typically found in tropical climates.
Next up we have: Hansen’s Disease (aka Leprosy)
This is one where I could find the artist statement due to it being a pretty recent one, however, I will say that at least the translation was a bit lacking in describing the reasoning of every detail. She is a mask maker because leprosy changes how people perceive those who are infected but it is something that can easily be removed with modern antibiotics. She has different accessories like the lion and crocodile headpiece that implicate the divine involvement because leprosy has been historically thought to be a punishment of the gods. The scales on her arm look like an allusion to the scaling pattern scars that those with leprosy would develop.
Next up: Rubella
After a lot of digging I found the official profile for this design but it didn’t really explain the design choices so we are going to do more analysis on my end. So the pomegranate and the red dots represent the red rashes that come with rubella infections. The glasses I assume are to show how Rubella can lead to Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS) which can occur in children if their mother had rubella while pregnant. One of the symptoms that comes with CRS is cataracts.
Next up: the plague
I found the explanation on this and it just confirmed my own suspicions for certain design choices. So her design is very focused on death and mysticism because of how the Black Plague led to a lot of cultural focus on these two ideas. Behind her are old coins because of the economic impact the plague had on the civilizations of its time. The references to death are the skeletal pattern on her dress, and the scythe behind her and on her belt. The references to mysticism include the tarot cards she is holding and the crosses on her hat. On the tarot cards are designs referencing the three different forms the plague takes (bubonic, septicemic, and pneumonic) as well as a posey which was used to try to ward of the plague in old times. On her hat is also a collection of plague doctor masks which is pretty self explanatory as to how that connects.
Next up: Ebola
I couldn’t find the official explanation for this disease, so this is mostly speculation based on my analysis. Her outfit is red because of the hemorrhaging that comes with the disease. Specifically he lips are red because one of the more unique characteristics of Ebola is hiccuping up blood. The accessories seem to be inspired by central and western african traditional jewelry. There appear to be tribal masks on the necklace, I am not well versed in African art unfortunately, so any deeper meaning of these accessories are unfortunately lost on me. There are bats on the headdress because of bats being the natural host of Ebola. Her design is rather demonic because Ebola was so terrible for the areas affected, that people thought it could be caused be some great evil. The skulls are because of the extremely high death rate that comes with ebola. The leaves and fruits shown come from the African jungles which is typically where Ebola outbreaks start.
Next up: Novel Influenza A Virus Infections
I actually found the artist explanation for this design! As a disease closely associated with birds, there are many elements linked to birds. There are many bird shadows, the hair that looks like feathers, and the beak shaped mask, feathers on his tie and a feather tattoo on right arm, and the “H-N” pin (H and N proteins of the influenza virus).
Next up: Dengue Fever
Another one with an artist statement! Since only female mosquitoes bite, the character is set as a female. Her dark red lips represent mosquito’s instinct to bite, and she is holding a poisonous thornapple flower. She has mosquito wings tattooed on her back and thornapple flower tattooed on her arm. I have spent a long time looking into how the thornapple flower relates to dengue, but I haven’t had a lot of luck. From what I have seen is that the roots, seeds, and leaves are used in some traditional medicines, including treatments for malaria, but I have not had luck finding how it is connected to Dengue specifically.
Next up: Japanese Encephalitis
I found the artist statement for this disease as well. The disease is visualized into three characters that form a pop group, with their names reflecting the 3 main Culex mosquito species that spread Japanese encephalitis in Taiwan, which are Culex tritaeniorhynchus (Three), Culex annulus (Ring), and Culex fuscocephala (Shiro). They wear black and white, like the colors of the Culex mosquitoes. Red accessories represent their love for blood. I don’t have much to add outside of the artist explanation.
Last one for now is: Rabies
I found the explanation for this one, but it is not descriptive at all, so I am going to be going into every detail because this is Rabies. The spikes on the jacket and pant legs represent the protein spikes rabies uses to infect nerves. The blue jacket and gloves are representing water as one of the unique characteristics of rabies is hydrophobia (physical repulsion to water). The claw marks on the shirt show the animalistic tendencies the virus brings out. The violin players in the animal mask show how the virus can hide in these animals. The personification of rabies is holding a conductor’s wand showing how rabies controls those who are infected. The teeth necklace shows how it spreads through bites and they are standing on the brain because that is what rabies infects. He has a chain with mammal skulls once again tying back to rabies being a fatal mammalian disease. The belt buckle has a bone on it as bone are associated with bones and rabies is associated with dogs.

a linguist plays chants of sennaar (pt 3)
[pt 1] [pt 2] [x] [pt 4] [pt 5]
onwards and upwards!
disclaimer: can't promise that i'll have any insights that a layperson wouldn't have, this is kinda just me thinking through the grammar of the language out loud haha.
this post covers the third language and will contain spoilers! it also assumes that you know what all of the symbols mean already.
have a huge soft spot for this language the most out of all of them haha. again, missed part of the gameplay for the dictionary—i couldn’t find the last fruit to feed the monkey lmao. also, i had the game open while writing this post this time, so more screenshots, yay!
visually, i'd say that this compares to arabic script or devanagari, especially with the line that runs through all of the characters, but it's still a logographic language. culturally/artistically, i think it's meant to represent how flow-y and artistic the bards are haha. i also remember seeing something once about the thai script (which this is not entirely dissimilar to) and how it was originally written on organic matter (eg leaves, bark, etc idk) and needed to have loops in order to work against the grain of the leaves. i haven’t done my due diligence and confirmed that in any historical or anthropological context yet, but it seems plausible to me?? the bards do seem to have a more tropical environment, tho again it’s likely just an artistic decision haha
once again, in terms of visual patterns in the words, we can see that a verb is indicated by a dot in the top right hand corner. the people words ("warrior", "bard", "you", "i/me") seem to all have a swoopy symbol that crosses the horizontal line, which is interesting. the only exception is "idiot", which might be because it's primarily functions as an adjective. locative nouns, including the cardinal directions, have a dot below the line. the only noun that includes a dot is “compass”, which might be a reflection of its connection to location? as in it contains locations, or navigates to locations? i’m uncertain. interestingly, the only non-person nouns that touch the horizontal line are “monster” and “greeting”, which might also be indicative of the senses of those words—if we recategorize “monster” with the people-words and “greeting” with the verbs, then we don’t have any outliers. however, this would include a word without a dot in the verb category. perhaps at some point in the evolution of the bard’s language, “greeting” lost its verb features? again, i’m unsure and possibly reading too far into it lmao.
this is our first OSV (object subject verb) language! ngl, i was annoyed by the way the game chose to translate the meaning into english—there are plenty of verb-final languages out there irl, no need to be so literal with the translation lol. amusingly, we see this being the most apparent when translating between the bards’ language (which is OSV and has plural marker suffixes) and the warriors’ language (which is SVO and has plural marker prefixes). absolutely none of the characters line up w each other lmao
(we can also see from this exchange that there’s no distinction between “go/pass” (i.e, from here to there) and “come” (from there to here), which is not something that i specifically noted before. interesting! again, i assume this is due to the capacity of these languages being limited.)
this is also our first possible (possible) indication of punctuation, with “question”. i’ve seen some people directly translate the “question” word as <¿?> (the punctuation marks), which i’m hesitant to do, especially considering that there’s no other evidence of punctuation in any of the languages. irl, japanese (and other languages) has a question word <か>, which indicates orally that something is a question—the bards’ language could easily have something similar.
we also see this mirrored in “not” in terms of grammatical structure, which probably indicates something about how auxiliary verbs are used/placed in this language (even tho “not” isn’t a verb—i’m sure there’s a linguistic category that includes the both of them but it escapes me rn). someone else on tumblr called this negative concord, and julia on an sss stream likened it to the french “ne pas”, and yes that is what this is, but it’s also… a little different?? my academic interest in linguistics when i was in school lay more in socio-cultural contexts than syntax so this is definitely NOT my area of expertise at all, so take what i say here with a large hunk of salt:
after some very brief research, it seems that negation can either take place at the sentence-level (e.g., through verbs like “can’t” or “won’t”) or through negative words (e.g., “nobody”, “nowhere”). so, a sentence like “i don’t go nowhere” (meaning “i don’t go anywhere”) achieves double negation through negating once at the sentence-level and once at the word-level. standard english doesn’t have negative concord, but some dialects do. different languages treat multiple negation differently; sometimes it conveys a slightly different meaning (from wikipedia: “you’re not unattractive” vs “you’re attractive”) and sometimes it intensifies the negation (also from wikipedia: “i haven’t never owed nothing to no one”).
the thing that i’m struggling with in the bard’s language is that the negation isn’t… attached to anything??? it’s not affixed to a verb or a noun, so really it’s not conveying negation of a particular thing, it’s negation of the whole sentence….???? which (in my mind) isn’t… really… negative concord. if that makes sense. like sure, there’s two symbols of it at both ends of the sentence, but it’s more indicative of the meaning of the sentence as a whole, rather than conveying smth abt a specific word. like it's not as if both of them mean "no" or each of them are adding meaning in a particular way. so. that’s why i’m more inclined to take it as a general grammatical feature of the language, along with “question”, and say that this is just how the language treats auxiliary/modal/whatever words??? it’s not as if we have other evidence. 😐
another option could be that negation w a noun takes places as a prefix (e.g., "not-warrior") and negation w a verb takes place as a suffix (e.g., "be-not"), so because of the OSV word order, you end up with something like ("not-warrior you be-not" or "a warrior, you're not").
HOWEVER. we do see some instances of the game's internal translation of some sentences conveying a slightly different meaning than a pure ('pure') negation, which makes figuring out the syntactic structure of this language kinda difficult.
if we take each of the "not" words as a negation, we'd end up with "not-hammer i carry-not", which is not "a hammer, i miss" lol. (to demonstrate w an english equivalent example: "i ain't no warrior" vs "i don't carry no hammer"). if you're a speaker of a negative concord language/dialect, pls pls feel free to correct me here; my intuition's going to be slightly off because i haven't studied any languages where this would be relevant. I think it could work, probably, but again, it's really difficult to say anything concrete without more examples. given its congruence with the "can you get a hammer" example, though, i really am inclined to say that this is just a grammar thing, not a negative concord thing (even tho negative concord IS a grammar thing—you get my drift).
questions that remain unanswered: - does the fact that "question" is two dots relate to the presence of dots in the verbs and locative nouns?

The Lost Boys, Pt. 1
The Lost Boys (S02E10) and The Hive (S02E11) form a double-episode, being the mid-season finale of the second season. It is a continuous story just like the Genii siege of the first season in The Storm (S01E10) and The Eye (S01E11). The episode is the swan song for the character of Ford, and although his death is never confirmed, he is never seen again beyond Sheppard's hallucination in Search and Rescue (S05E01), where he serves as a symbol for all the people Sheppard has failed to save.
The motif of the episode is laid out in the "Previously" recap, which reminds us of both the fact that Ford had tried to kill McKay, and that Sheppard had been so grateful that Ronon had saved McKay's life as to take him with to Atlantis and onto his team. This especially is important because if one went just with the beginning of the first episode, one might come to the conclusion that Sheppard does not like McKay very much and one might even be tempted to take Sheppard's later description of McKay at face value.
And so we find the team on a random planet, following up on a lead. Where last we left Sheppard and McKay being rather cozy with each other, sharing a love seat in Weir's office, it seems as though something has happened between the episodes because McKay is cranky and seems to be getting on Sheppard's nerves. We hear their voices long before we see them, which suggests that the entire team is engaged in what can only be described as bickering, and their bickering can be heard all through the forest. Stealthy this team is not.
McKay: This is ridiculous. Sheppard: Oh, keep complaining about it and we may get there faster. McKay: Well, couldn't we have met these people on a tropical beach planet populated by tall blonde women, hm?
First of all, there is so much homoerotic content in this episode that they need to provide the mainstream audience with the possibility of interpreting this in a heteronormative context right at the offset. McKay sure likes those tall blonde women like Samantha Carter. Only, note the fact that he mentions the tropical beach planet here, which not only connects the episode to Runner (S02E03) where we last saw Ford, we can tell by the surf board in Sheppard's room that tropical beaches are his thing. His response to McKay's cocoa butter smelling sunscreen had been "What smells like vacation?" Tropical beaches are not McKay's thing, because he has extremely sensitive skin that burns easily in the sun and as he mentioned previously, he has been keeping track of his life-time exposure to radiation and thinks that he has already had too much exposure to ever be able to father children. He had concocted his own suntan lotion with a SPF 100 to avoid getting his "extremely fair" skin burned. No, my friends. Rodney McKay has no desire whatsoever to visit a tropical beach planet. So what gives?
McKay very likely knows that Sheppard, on the other hand, seems to love the beach, even having a photograph of the beach on his wall. It follows that McKay may again be rubbing something in Sheppard's face that has either happened or been discussed in the interim, between the previous episode and this. It could be that he is still miffed about the Ancient woman that turned out to be a wraith in disguise from the Ancient warship Aurora. It might even still be about the kissing of Teyla incident in the sense that "you keep kissing our friends, I keep talking about hot tall blondes."
And speaking of hot tall blondes, Sheppard himself seems less than pleased about McKay's "professional" relationship with Samantha Carter who, let us remember, had kissed him on the cheek once and who McKay had described as "Oy-yoy-yoy" back when they visited the planet with the actual "Lost Boys" in Childhood's End (S01E05). Sheppard can barely contain his being irked by mentions of Carter, and his annoyance does not even require McKay to actually have said anything, as his mood may just as well have been caused by the Samantha Carter lookalike in McKay's science corps, seen in Trinity (S02E06) and whose head he nearly bit off on his way to Weir's office in Conversion (S02E08). Sheppard is a possessive, jealous man and McKay seems to have no idea that he inspires these feelings in him as he purposefully goads him on, which is the result of a combination of McKay's poor self-esteem and Sheppard's skill in concealing and repressing his true feelings.
Now, it is possible that they have actually been in contact with the SGC recently because in the episode just preceding this one in cross-series chronology (Prototype), it is mentioned that the Lanteans had sent the Ancient database to Earth so that they might study the genetic characteristics of the Ancients, and they had just discovered a body in stasis that they first suspected to be an Ancient in suspended animation. If ever there had been a time to contact Atlantis, especially their expert on the Ancient database who had just recently studied multiple Ancients in stasis, this may have been it. Even a brief video link between the SGC and Atlantis might go a long way into explaining what is happening in this scene between Sheppard and McKay.
To wit: the fact that McKay mentions tropical beaches means that he is trying to get back at Sheppard for something. The fact that tall blondes are mentioned suggests that Sam Carter was somehow involved. Sheppard's sourness suggests that he was feeling jealous, and we know from Inferno (S02E19) that Sheppard's go-to method for dealing with jealousy regarding women that might find McKay attractive is to aggressively hit on these women himself, to take them "off the market" so to speak, while having zero interest in the women himself.
In fact, we see him do this very thing when Carter takes on the post of the director of Atlantis in Reunion (S04E03); the very first thing Sheppard does is to try and cockblock McKay (and he really needn't bothered, since McKay's intention was to welcome Carter so that he might break her the news that he is in fact seeing someone, that someone being Sheppard, and to let her down easy like we have seen him do with women that he suspects might be into him previously, like in Brotherhood, S01E16). McKay had been planning on welcoming Carter with a fruit-basket and Sheppard talked him out of it, only to then give the self-same fruit basket to Carter behind McKay's back while having absolutely no interest in Carter himself, because that is what heterosexuals do.
Point is, Sheppard has some green-eyed feelings when it comes to McKay and Carter, Sheppard has a pattern of trying to hit on women he thinks are interested in McKay to preempt McKay becoming aware of this fact and possibly reciprocating this interest (oh, honey), where McKay's actual interest in blonde women is a mixture of his mommy issues, of wanting to be a hot blonde himself to get the attention of handsome Air Force officers, and him trying to incite jealousy in Sheppard just because he is jealous of all the women he thinks Sheppard as a bisexual might be interested in. And McKay knows that he would have no hope in using the same method as Sheppard uses with him because a) he is not interested in women and can barely manage to fake interest and b) he does not think that he is as good-looking or charming as Sheppard so as to manage getting women's attention, where in actuality extremely attractive women seem to think that McKay is all kinds of cute but where he is completely and utterly unaware that women like him because they are not on his radar like that.
And so, the thing is. Given that Sheppard had kissed Teyla and McKay very clearly knows about this, the story of Carter kissing his cheek may have become "Well, while we are on the topic of kissing friends, did you know that Sam Carter once kissed me?" somewhere along the way. And that is just not OK by Sheppard. That is not OK at all. It might even have been made worse if he had received some kind of a confirmation of this having happened while they had been in contact with Earth. And if this had led to Sheppard aggressively flirting with Carter in front of McKay, well. You get two extremely sour pusses, you would.
They are clearly sniping at each other here, and McKay's comment is extremely telling in this regard. Also note that he does not actually say that he is interested in tall blonde women or that he would want to see any. He is asking if Sheppard would not rather have met these people on a tropical beach planet with tall blondes. He is saying that he would rather not be here, and in a minute he is going to say that he would actually much rather be in his lab. He is testing the waters, asking Sheppard if he would rather not be doing that because McKay has issues when it comes to Sheppard and women, and these issues will go on for all of this season.
Teyla: Whoever wants to speak with us obviously values their privacy. McKay: Yes, well I value my time, and this is a waste of it. Sheppard: What's a waste of time is listening to you, Rodney. This is the mission.
Note that while Sheppard is very obviously on his last nerve when it comes to McKay's griping. he is the one that had insisted McKay accompany them to this mission. Back when Caldwell had been substitute military commander of Atlantis during his convalescence, he had suggested changes to the team rosters because keeping both McKay and Sheppard, two of the most valuable members of the expedition, on the same off-world team is irresponsible, bordering on stupid. Caldwell had told Weir that he hoped that Sheppard would consider his changes, and it seems as though Sheppard had not. This was his team, he had picked every member to it personally and for a reason, they are all invaluable to him, and that is final. But after Caldwell's improvements, he has to be aware of the fact that this is a problem and that he might either consider taking McKay off the roster completely and let him focus on science, or to sometimes use another scientist on missions. Only, he needs McKay with him. He does not want to go without McKay. And even when McKay would so very clearly rather be doing something else, that is no good to him.
Note that Sheppard says that he thinks listening to McKay is a waste of time here (but he still uses the more intimate address, Rodney). This is a blow below the belt in the sense that McKay is well aware that people generally want him to shut up. People have been telling him to shut up his entire life. Sheppard is actually one of the few people that like listening to him, and not only that, but Sheppard often needs McKay to talk to him. We frequently hear him say some iteration of "Talk to me, Rodney," and he means it. He likes listening to McKay, and he also likes watching him work. Just in the beginning of the previous episode we found Sheppard apparently having spent his lunch break watching McKay figure out bleeps and bloops on the space map. And let us be clear: he does not say that he does not want to listen to McKay or wants him to shut up. He says that listening to him is a waste of time, and this is specifically directed at listening to him talking about tall blonde women. He does not want to hear about them.
McKay: Yeah, well it strikes me that this is a mission better suited to one of the lower echelon teams. Dex: Lower echelon? Teyla: He means to say less important.
Here, McKay seems to confirm that Caldwell had a point. McKay is overworked and he thinks routine recon missions such as this might just as well be done by teams that might benefit from getting the experience. Where McKay probably did mean that other people are not engaged in as important work as he is (and this is true besides, his self-awareness does not change the facts), it is Teyla that makes the interpretation that McKay is being arrogant and seeing the teams as less important. But it is true that both the Atlantis expedition and SGC have a pecking order, and both of them have a flagship team. There is a reason all of them are on Sheppard's team when Sheppard, as the commander of the base, really should not even be fielding a team of his own. They are all too important to be on the same team which is why Caldwell would have broken them up to spread their expertise more evenly.
Sheppard: We got a tip from one of Teyla's contacts; we're following it up.
Here, Sheppard tells McKay to suck it up. But he also tells us that he both needs and wants McKay to be here with him. It is Sheppard's explicit desire for McKay to be there with him because he does not want to be doing this without him. He is also using the "we" language here, trying to impress to McKay that they are in this together. He does not want any backtalk but even so, he is not even close to giving McKay an order to get him to stop complaining. As much as he might claim that it is a waste of time, here he is engaging with McKay, keeping him talking, wanting to hear him talk. He even looks back as he responds to McKay because it is important for him to engage with McKay.
McKay: And this is like, what? The umpteenth tip we've followed up in search of a ZPM? Teyla: Rodney.... McKay: Look, I just wanna make it clear that every second I am out of my lab is a second the galaxy goes without another ground-breaking--
Finally, what McKay says here just before they are all stunned by men that ambushed them from the forest is that he should be in his lab working because he needs to be engaged in some ground-breaking scientific research right now. This might be a confirmation that Samantha Carter has something to do with why both McKay and Sheppard are acting the way they are here. If McKay has heard about the Ori supergate or the gravity anomalies Carter had been researching, he might have been inspired to wanting to do some actual research because he is extremely competitive when it comes to Carter. In fact, later on it is together that they manage to connect the Ori supergate to the Ancient gate network and later on to create the McKay-Carter intergalactic bridge, so it is entirely feasible that having been in contact with the SGC would have caused both McKay to feel like he is wasting his time traipsing through the woods when he could be sciencing and Sheppard to feel sour because he really does not like being ignored.
Regardless, the team eventually wake up where ever they had been taken by their captors, unaware that it had involved gate travel to another planet. Where they were taken out so quickly that Sheppard had no time to react, he did however have ample time to see that McKay had been hit right in front of him which, let us recall, is one of Sheppard's worst nightmares. He was helpless to stop it. And now Sheppard's first thought is about making sure that they are all alright:
Sheppard: You guys OK? McKay: Oh yeah, fine!
Note that while Sheppard looks at McKay first to ascertain that he is unharmed, he then looks at Ronon and Teyla as he asks the question. It is as though he is only asking them, as though he is only interested in whether Teyla and Ronon are fine. This is classic Sheppard trying not to let hostiles in on the fact that McKay is important to him, which is something that is explicated in this very episode later. And let us also note how Sheppard and McKay are both unmasked at the same time here by a tall blonde who has planted himself between them. There might be something symbolic in this.
Sheppard: Seems like a whole lot of trouble to go through just to get us to dinner. Not a talkative bunch, are you?
The first thing Sheppard tries is to use his charm. It is the one weapon he has even when his hands are tried and in fact, that is the perfect time for using this particular weapon. Their captors, however, do not seem very responsive even though the main henchman definitely seems to give him a look. In fact, his look is so intense as to make Sheppard feel uncomfortable.
Kanayo: If we release you from your bindings, you promise not to attack us? Dex: Sure. Sheppard: Yeah. We promise.
Here it is established that Sheppard says counterfactual things. Sheppard says things that are not true. Sheppard lies with a straight face. This is a thing that he very much does.
What ever angle he might have started working with these people, it all changes when it turns out that their captor is Ford, who knows him better than most people, certainly better than strangers. Also note that Ronon tries to get up immediately upon recognizing Ford, wanting to get at him like an attack dog. Ronon has nothing personal against Ford, his whole beef is because he feels like he owes Sheppard, because he is grateful to Sheppard for having given him sanctuary, and hence taking care of Sheppard's enemies is a matter of pride to him. Only, Ford is not an enemy, not precisely. He had tried to kill McKay and that did not sit well with him but the young soldier had been his responsibility. He still wanted to bring him back home.
Ford: Before we untie them, they have to know they're among friends. Sheppard: Ford? Ford: Thought I was dead, didn't you, Sheppard?
It is with McKay that Sheppard exchanges a glance, feeling a growing sense of dread. It had been McKay that Ford had tried to kill the last time they had met. Ford is a major sore spot for Sheppard, a personal failure, and he feels responsible for the condition that the young solider is in. And the fact that he looks at McKay, tries to draw some strength or comfort from him in this moment suggests that he may have shared some of his thoughts on the matter with McKay somewhere along the way. Where Sheppard may pretend that he only cares about Ronon and Teyla and not about McKay at all, the truth of the matter is that McKay is the one he relies on the most, is his closest and most trusted companion. McKay is the one he turns to when he needs to draw on some strength and comfort. McKay is the one that means the most to him, which means that he is the one that can most readily be used against him. And Ford knows all of this too.

~Healin' Good♥︎Pretty Cure Masterlist~
~~~❤️🩹~~~❤️🩹~~~❤️🩹~~~
~Cure Grace/Nodoka Hanadera~
~~~🌸~~~🌸~~~🌸~~~
~ Cure Grace is very shocked, and a bit uncomfortable with your… um… “comments”. Even if they were directed at the villains. She can’t find it in herself to say anything mean about anyone ever. So she can’t understand how you could.
Nodoka: “How do you say those all those things?”
(name): “All what things?”
Nodoka: “You know, all the mean things.”
(name): “Oh. Dunno, I just say whatever comes to mind.”
Nodoka: “Wow…”
~ She knows that not everyone is the same as her. For others, including you, this kind of behavior amplifies your fighting spirit and abilities. It helps get off steam as well. So while she isn’t a fan, she keeps quiet.
(cure name): “Wow Daruizen, I can’t wait to talk crap about you with the others when we’re done here. Right, Grace?”
Cure Grace: “Huh? Oh. Hehe, yeah…”
~ She’ll even defend you. If Cure Fontaine ever scolds you, she’ll try to explain and justify your actions the best she can. She just wants you to be able to heal the earth in your own way. Even if it may seem a bit obnoxious.
Cure Fontaine: “(cure name), you have to stop! It’s just too mean!”
Cure Grace: “But Fontaine, it helps distract the bad guys, making defeating the Megabyogens easier.”
(cure name): “See, Cure Grace gets it!”
Cure Fontaine: “Ugh…”
~~~🌸~~~🌸~~~🌸~~~
~Cure Fontaine/Chiyu Sawaizumi~
~~~💧~~~💧~~~💧~~~
~ Cure Fontaine stopped in her tracks the first time she heard your brutal insults towards the villains. She asked you to repeat it, wanting to be sure she wasn’t just hearing things. Once you confirmed she heard correctly, she was horrified.
Cure Fontaine: “What did you say?”
(cure name): “Huh? Oh, I just told him that he’s not the ugliest person alive, but that he better pray they don’t die.”
Cure Fontaine: “Oh my goodness! Why would you say that?”
(cure name): “Because it’s true?”
~ She’s been trained her whole life to be nothing but polite to others, even people she doesn’t like. So while she does fight the bad guys, she doesn’t go out of her way to be mean to them. So she sees your behavior as straight up barbaric.
(cure name): “I bet your parents change the subject whenever people ask about you.”
Shindoine: “I don’t have parents.”
(cure name): “Huh, no wonder.”
Cure Fontaine: “(cure name)! How rude!”
~ She can’t help but gasp every time another insult leaves your mouth. She knows she should be used to them by now, but she just can help it. Your words were just so… vile. Of course, you get scolded by her after the battle. But obviously, that doesn’t stop you.
Cure Fontaine: “(cure name), can you just… not say such mean things?”
(cure name): “Why? Don’t you think they deserve it?”
Cure Fontaine: “I don’t think it matters if they deserve it or not. I just don’t wanna hear it.”
(cure name): “Then just don’t listen…”
~~~💧~~~💧~~~💧~~~
~Cure Sparkle/Hinata Hiramitsu~
~~~✨~~~✨~~~✨~~~
~ Cure Sparkle finds it hilarious! It’s the highlight of any battle for her! The first time she heard the way you talk to the villains, she laughed so hard, her fighting skills depleted. Which is obviously a downside, but she doesn’t mind. You all still get the job done, after all!
*Megabyogen lands an attack*
(cure name): “Oof! Hey, for someone like you, that’s pretty good!
Cure Sparkle: “Haha! That was a nice one!”
Cure Fontaine: “Sparkle, focus!”
Cure Sparkle: “Oh, sorry!”
~ She joins in whenever she has idea of what to say. She knows her insults will never be as good as yours, but there’s no harm in trying! It’s always a fun time for her when she gets to talk smack with you. In fact, she does so even more post-battle!
Hinata: “Did you see the look on Batetemoda’s face when I said that? Haha!”
(name): “Haha, yeah! I almost felt bad for him!
Hinata: “Right? I mean, his poor Megabyogen didn’t even last five minutes either!”
~ She’d never admit this to anyone, especially you, but she really admires you for your lack of shame when it comes to being mean to bad people. She writes down all of her favorite insults of yours in a notebook. She’s built up quite the collection! She’s saving them for any occasion where she might need a nasty comeback.
(cure name): “If you were the light at the end of the tunnel, I’d turn back around!”
Cure Sparkle: “Ooh, that’s a good one. I better add that later.”
Cure Grace: “Add what to what?”
Cure Sparkle: “Nothing!”
~~~✨~~~✨~~~✨~~~
~Cure Earth/Asumi Fuurin~
~~~🎐~~~🎐~~~🎐~~~
~ Initially, Cure Earth was shocked and taken aback by your words. She may not have been alive for long, but those were simply the rudest things she’s ever heard! However, considering who they were aimed at, she quickly brushed them off.
(cure name): “I’d give you a nasty look, but it seems you’ve already got one!”
Cure Earth: “Oh my…”
(cure name): “What?”
Cure Earth: “Oh, nothing.”
~ She is all about healing the world. So while she may not understand your behavior, she just figures that’s your way of doing it. Sure, it may not be her cup of tea, but it’s yours, so she just lets you be.
Chiyu: “So (name)’s behavior doesn’t bother you at all?”

My opinion on ships (Part 2):🌙Moonflower🌼
If you don’t know, this is a dandy’s world ship, that includes: Astro and Dandy
• Who are they ?
Astro is a moon, confirmed as male, and one of the main character in the game. Dandy is a gay- i mean rainbow flower (A daisy to be exact on my perspective), also confirmed as male, who is unplayable in the game.
It is complicated, since dandy’s an "antagonist" and Astro is canonly the only one who still talks with Dandy after the ichor incident (Or idk).
• Why are they shipped ?
There’s reasons, probably more than fruitcake tho.
- Dandy’s shop: When buying a toon, Dandy would usually say something like "Good choice" or something like that. But when buying Astro, Dandy doesn’t say anything but "...", i think Astro is Dandy’s only source of hope of moving on or smth. (Idk)
- Interactions: In a interaction between Astro and Peeble, Astro asks how is Dandy, and both of them show care for him.
In another interaction, between Sprout and Vee, Vee mentions that Dandy would walk away when she’s around, she also mentions that Dandy would go to’talk to Astro, probably because he’s the only one that he can rely on.
On a conversation with Astro, Teagan asks him if he stills talks to him (Mentioning dandy), Astro says he stills does, but not as often, which justifies it is more complicated since the ichor incident.
A conversation between Connie and Astro mentions that him and Dandy only talks about past episodes.
• What is your personal opinion
I really see why people ship them, one of my personal favourite ship out of all dandy’s world ship, and i really see it happening one day after the whole thing is over probably.
• Bonus Fact
Moonflower is also a flower, something that make them special is that they knly bloom at night. It can be found in tropical and subtropical regions of North and South America, from Argentina to northern Mexico, Arizona, Florida and the West Indies. Moonflower grow best in full sun.

Back in 2014, dermatologist Bridget McIlwee saw a 3-year-old patient in central Texas with unusual bumps on his ear. "They looked a little bit like almost kind of a benign mole that you would see in a child, except that you wouldn't expect something like that to come up quickly and then multiply," she says. McIlwee sent off a sample for laboratory testing, and the results came back pointing to a surprising culprit: The boy had tested positive for cutaneous leishmaniasis, a neglected tropical disease. The World Health Organization says between 600,000 and 1 million new infections happen worldwide every year, mostly in tropical regions of the Americas, the Mediterranean basin, the Middle East and Central Asia — not in Texas. These illnesses can be disfiguring, even if they are rarely fatal. "I was shocked, because in medical school, we're taught that this is a tropical disease, something that you see in immigrants, military returning from deployment, people who went on vacation to South America or Asia or Africa," McIlwee says.

i. astrology notes
*(not a pro. just for fun)
• i've noticed a lot of the community is confused about what the 2H represents & i heard from a professional astrologer that the 2H (tropical) represents how/what we spend our money on. that's just one of the many things it represents but i'm not gonna get into the rest. i can confirm that the things i spend my money on are things are use on a daily basis & majority are my necessities because my 2H ruler is in my 6H (house that represents everyday occurences)
*TW: death
• for those who have 6H Pluto, you probably have had instances where your pets have died adruptly or other peoples pets in your possession. all in all you cannot keep a pet for too long because it's not going to live for a while in your care. pet could've ran away & disappeared as well (i have a friend with this placement & she said she has had 4 pets in her whole entire life & the longest one of them lived in her possession was 2 months - shortest was 2 weeks) this doesn't necessarily mean you're shit at taking care of pets though, the death could've been caused by something out of your control. really sorry for anyone who has lost a pet so dear to them :/
• 3°/15°/27° of Moon could have a maternal figure that is extremely talkative, has gemini placements or 3H stellium. they might even get a lot of phone calls or could own more than one phone. very active on their socials too.
• 2°/14°/26° of Saturn could have a paternal figure that is materialistic, has taurus placements or 2H stellium. constantly buying stuff that exceed their budget or they probably don't even have one. could make more money than any other family member or family member who spends the most.
• libra 4H probably didn't grow up in a happy family. more like a family that didn't want to deal with the pain & difficulties within it & swept them under the rug. some members might not be aware of it. very much Dollhouse by Melanie Martinez - could put out a front amongst outsiders to seem like everything is fine when it's not. absolute turmoil could be happening right in front of them & they would still pretend to be happy. this could be hard for family members with strong Pluto aspects/placements within this family as they will always feel the urge to unravel the truth.
thanks for reading :)

a. Moonflower 🌙
@gum1w0rms suggested moonflowers ! Moonflowers, otherwise known as tropical white morning-glories, or Ipomoea alba, are white flowers that only open up typically about once a year during the nighttime. The symbolism they came up with is that moonflowers are a representation of a person with BPD. That they open up under the moon (which the moon, in this, represents attention from your favourite person, love, help, confirmation, good days, etc!) and they close up when that attention, validation, and love, goes away ! Here is the post they made explaining their idea !
Moonflowers are also toxic flowers to the touch, but they do not cause death.
When the flower is closed, they look a bit like a spiral to me, which reminds me of spiralling out of control when you do not have support.
The colour white represents innocence, cleanliness, emptiness, and peace in western culture, while in eastern culture it can represent death, mourning, and the afterlife.
b. Belladonna / Deadly Nightshade 🟣
A friend of mine suggested deadly nightshade. Deadly nightshade, otherwise known as belladonna, or atropa bella-donna, is a poisonous purple flower with black berries with star like leaves. This flower that can kill you at higher doses and cause nervous system failure.
This flower reminds me of hurting those who hurt you back. It is only deadly if you ingest it. It could represent reacting to abandonment, and the trauma we struggled with to become this way. We were hurt, so we hurt back.
Despite the poison, the belladonna has a lot of medicinal purposes as well. During war time, it was used as a psychedelic and for pain management during surgery. Along with that it was used to create medication for the stomach and cramps.
The star like leaves around the fruit reminds me that people with BPD are still shining despite the struggles and traumas we have faced.
The colour purple represents wealth, prosperity, mental and spiritual awareness in Eastern cultures. In western cultures it represents royalty and creativity. It is considered a mysterious colour as well.
c. Bleeding Heart 💓
The bleeding heart flower, otherwise known as Dicentra, is a pink flower that’s head looks like a heart with a white tear drop. It represents deep pain, unrequited love, and rebirth.
My idea with this flower is that it is representative of the pain and sorrow we go through and how deeply we feel emotions.
The bleeding heart is toxic when digested, causing seizures and liver damage.
The colour pink is representative of celebration, hospitality, and trust in the east. In the west it symbolises calm and tenderness. It also is representative of marriage, femininity and love in both cultures.
d. [Other]
If you have any other ideas please don’t be afraid to add!
I will make another poll if this has enough reach!
Some other flower symbolism:
Tulips: Representative of DPD, besides the Sun Rise/Sun Set symbol.
Orchids: Representative of Intersex People.
Roses: Representative of Hypersexuality / Hyperrose.
Daffodils: Representative of NPD.
It would be nice to make all Personality Disorder flags have specific flowers representative to them, or concepts.
For instance,
Cluster A, B, and C all having flower symbols
Cluster A being shells, stones, or minerals of some kind, Cluster B being plants and flowers, Cluster C being weather related.
What do you think?

Hey 👋💕
Well I want to share something i watch some BTS videos recently alot so one day there this reading come up where the reader was saying that someone might have been doing or done black magic on her and that reader is kind of respectful though I mean read the comments too and there no such thing claiming that they are the one or something and she don't do reading daily like in months and after she did that other tarot reader follow her too and confirm it
What do you think about this
Hi,
so first of all just to clarify: Astrology and Tarot are very different forms of divinative guidance. I cannot dismiss Tarot, because it is not my expertise. I cannot claim something which I am inexperienced in as wrong or untrue and I will never do that. One thing I do know from my close relative who also practice Tarot is: that Tarot is based on changable energies. It picks up on energies from past, present and future. So there is no clear boundaries between the energies and timelines. And today it can pick up the energy of one person and tomorrow the energy of another and the next day the energy of an entirely different person. And in the end, the actual spouse could still be someone very different. So the energies are always changing in tarot from time to time. This is something which nobody can deny. So even for Tarot we need to make sure we take a step back and look at things from afar and don't get lost inside everything that is being predicted. Please don't get me wrong, as someone who wants to guide and educate my readers it is my responsibility to make y'all also aware of the realistic side of these things.
When it comes to the Astrological point of view: could it be possible that she got black magic done upon her by other people? Well, if she'd indeed turn out to be someone who has a Sun-Rahu (Solar Eclipse) in her chart, this could raise the possibilities of such a case. Because Sun-Rahu, being an Eclipse event (the rarest one especially for Sun) it symbolyzes a time where many rituals are done. But that may also not be the case as well, instead it could mean that there's a lot of evil eye upon her. Because Sun represents the Eyes and Rahu is darkness and shadow and Rahu covers it and leaves this orange-reddish colored ring around it, which kinda looks like an evil eye. And is the main event where everyone is looking up in the sky and admiring. So it can very well be possible that if she has a Sun-Rahu conjunction in her chart, she could be very prone to attracting evil eye, envy and jealousy from outside. But this woman must be someone who is very higher in energy in divinely protected in order be able to not let all that negative energy get to her. She could be someone who attracted haters easily from a young age, even in school and social circles until she found a way to distance herself from such environments and protect her energy from jealous people. She might have a very small circle of close friends because she learned to step back from bigger friend groups and learned to not trust people anymore. It's giving strong Tropical 8th house, Sidereal 9th house vibes.
So, if she would hypothetically have a Sun-Rahu in her chart, then it could be very possible or it could be more an evil eye kind of thing. Both of them are respresented by Sun-Rahu.
If she turns out not to have these placements in her chart, then who knows? She might still got such things done upon her by others. The suggested placement was just to give you an example, don't take it too literal. I mean so many Astrologers try to give some zodiac sign examples, and I am giving more placement kind of examples, you know.
In the end: May God protect them on their journey and keep them safe and happy.🙏🏼
I hope this was helpful.
Have a nice day.🌺

Rescue crews are still searching Lahaina, Hawaii, for survivors of the catastrophic wildfire that obliterated the town last week on the island of Maui. It’s the deadliest blaze in modern American history, with 99 people confirmed dead, surpassing the 85 that perished in 2018’s Camp Fire in Paradise, California. Crews have only searched a quarter of Lahaina, so the death toll is expected to rise higher still. At least 2,200 structures have been destroyed.
During the 19th century, it made a kind of terrible sense that blazes like the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 could burn swaths of a city almost totally unchecked. Fire and building codes were lacking. So were firefighting forces and robust water infrastructure. By the early 20th century, those things had been upgraded. Cities and towns were safer—for a while. But now expansive urban fires have returned, and they are burning with startling frequency and intensity.
“We thought urban fires had gone away, that San Francisco in 1906 was the last. And now they’ve come back,” says fire historian Stephen Pyne. “It’s like watching polio come back. We fixed this. But you have to maintain the hygiene—you have to keep up the vaccinations.”
And the Lahaina fire shows that they can burn in places where nobody expects a catastrophic wildfire: a modern town on a tropical island in the middle of the Pacific, whose ecosystems only rarely saw wildfire in prehistory.
It’s not the only recent example of fires ravaging surprising places. In 2021, a freak wildfire ignited in late December—way outside of typical fire season—in Boulder, Colorado, burning more than 1,000 buildings. In 2017, the Tubbs Fire ripped through Santa Rosa, California, and its surrounding communities, destroying 5,600 structures and killing 22 people. “Those aren’t fire areas—they’re just the burbs,” says Thomas Cova, who studies wildfire evacuations at the University of Utah. “They’re modern streets, modern sidewalks, manicured lawns. It’s really become, in this changing climate, much more difficult to map where fires are going to occur and what time of year and how bad they might burn.”
On Maui, as with wildfires all over the world, there isn’t just one factor contributing to the blaze. Overall, climate change is making wildfires worse: A warmer atmosphere can absorb more moisture from the landscape. Climate change is also making droughts more frequent, longer, and more severe, so there’s less moisture to wet the landscape in the first place.
Add high winds—gusts of up to 80 miles per hour drove the flames a mile a minute across Lahaina—and all it takes is a single spark to ignite a fast-moving blaze. “There’s no firefighting capabilities for structure-to-structure urban fire in winds like that,” says Cova. “Once one structure catches on fire, if the wind’s blowing like that, it becomes like a blowtorch against the neighboring home.”
These winds across Maui were dry as well, helping to suck the remaining moisture out of vegetation to turn it into fuel. That fuel seems to have been invasive grasses that European colonizers brought when they established plantations. When rains are plentiful, these plants grow like mad, then easily dry out once the rain stops.
“Those fire-prone invasive species fill in any gaps anywhere else—roadsides, in between communities, in between people’s homes, all over the place,” Elizabeth Pickett, co-executive director of the Hawaii Wildfire Management Organization, told WIRED last week. “At this point, 26 percent of our state is covered in these fire-prone grasses.”
Not only has much of Maui been in a drought, but it’s also at the height of its dry season, so these plants have turned to tinder. “Feral landscapes fuel fires,” says Pyne. “Hot, dry, and windy, with lots of fuel, is the formula for big fires. And that’s what you’ve got here.”
In Hawaii, as in places along the West Coast, more and more people have been moving into the danger zone: the wildland-urban interface, or WUI. This is where nature butts up against human settlements or even intermingles with them. That’s why Paradise burned so quickly and thoroughly, destroying 19,000 structures, as the fire sped through pine needles and other dry leaves piled up around town. In Maui, the invasive grass acts as an accelerant. “Virtually every community in Hawaii is on a wildland-urban interface,” Pickett continued. “So we’re just like a WUI state, because we have developments that are all adjacent to wildland areas or surrounded by wildland areas.”
We don’t have to discover the vaccine against wildfires in such an interface—it’s already known. Massive urban fires waned in the 20th century because of better building codes, and infrastructure is still important today. When high winds kick up, they jostle power lines and can spark fires. Electrical equipment malfunctions were the confirmed causes of the Camp and Tubbs fires, among other recent blazes. While officials are still investigating what ignited the wildfire that consumed Lahaina, there’s speculation that it was also electrical wires. While it’s expensive to bury power lines, such an investment could go a long way toward saving structures and human lives.
And in the modern day, another big factor is managing potential fuels: In places like California, that means clearing dead brush. In Hawaii, it’s those invasive grasses. Because humans are such an unpredictable X factor in sparking fires—with a wayward firework or cigarette—it’s paramount that when people make mistakes, there’s less fuel to burn.
Protecting cities from supercharged wildfires also requires fundamental social shifts. If a tropical town like Lahaina can burn, which other cities are also at risk—and totally unready for it? “Normally we think of preparing for events that are within an envelope of historical, prior events,” says Cova. “This is unprecedented for Lahaina. And so how do you even begin to talk about preparing for things that no one's ever seen, including the people that manage fires?”
One of the greatest risks of urban wildfires is that residents can get caught between fast-moving fires and the limitations of city infrastructure, like narrow, winding roads or a lack of evacuation routes. People died in their cars trying to get out of Paradise, and it appears the same happened in Lahaina. “We’ve known for a long time—even in hurricanes where you have way-advance warning—that evacuating cars sometimes is essential, but it’s really problematic, because you get congestion right away,” says Ann Bostrom, a risk communication researcher at the University of Washington. “Any city where you have a wildland-urban interface, and then you have any kind of complicated transportation, where you don’t have free egress, that’s problematic.”
Protecting other cities from Lahaina’s fate will require fighting a battle on multiple fronts: managing fuels to re-tame the feral landscape, minimizing ignitions with better electrical infrastructure, and rigorously communicating evacuation plans. “This is the kind of society we’ve created,” says Pyne. “And these are the kinds of fires that society will have to deal with.”
