Curiosity can be either a really good, or a really bad thing. It can end in fortune, or it can end in disaster. Many people avoid acting on their curiosity due to the fear of it turning out bad. But you decided to take the risk.

You used to work for the company Nightmare. Because of that, you did a lot of things you’re not proud of. For one, you fought a group of teenage magical girls to try and obtain the Dream Collet. Just the memory of trying to defeat them makes you cringe. But you’re glad you still keep in touch with them. After all, they’re the reason you were able to turn a new leaf.

But even though you’ve left the evil company, you still harbor some magic abilities. And with them, you decided to run a little experiment.

A while ago, the Pretty Cure went to the Mirror Kingdom and had to fight dark versions of themselves. Each one was made from a crystal. Cure Dream had managed to befriend her evil counterpart, Dark Dream. But Dark Dream ended up sacrificing herself for her, shattering the crystal.

You’ve always wondered what would happen if Dark Dream was able to live her second chance. So after a quick trip to the Mirror Kingdom, you came back home with a handful of crystal shards, and a crazy idea.

You never would’ve guessed it would have taken this long. Nearly three whole months and 107 attempts later, a very puzzled Cure Dream doppelgänger stood in the exact same spot the shards used to be. You huffed tiredly, convinced that you’d used every ounce of magic left in you. But you still smiled at the fruit of your labor.

“What’s going on? Who are you?” Dark Dream asked, understandably confused. “How am I alive?” She stared down at her hands, moving them to confirm that she was in fact living.

“I’ll gladly answer all of those questions right now.” You chuckled.

You provided a quick, yet informative summary of your experiment. Dark Dream listened intently, her wide eyed expression never faltering. She was still processing being alive once again, and now she had even more to take in. But she knew she couldn’t bear being left without any answers, so she just dealt with the shock.

“And here you are now.” You finished with your explanation. You folded your arms, and exhaled loudly, truly in disbelief about your success.

You allowed the girl a few moments to think and process everything. It was only fair, after all. You prepared yourself for any future questions she may ask, but what she did end up asking was not something you were expecting.

“Where’s Nozomi?”

After taking a moment to get over the unexpected question, you gave your answer. “Well, it’s the afternoon of a weekday. So she’s probably at school. In fact, she should be getting out soon.”

“I want to go see her.” She declared. And by the sound of it, she definitely wasn’t asking. So you figured that if she was gonna go, you’d rather her not go alone.

“Alright. I don’t know where she goes to school, but I do know where she goes after. I’ll take you there. Oh yeah, but you should de-transform first.” You pointed to her outfit. She looked at herself as if she didn’t notice. But she quickly did as you said, reverting back to her normal self. She still looked exactly like Nozomi. But the way she dressed was quite different. She wore a reddish, gothic lolita style outfit, complete with black lipstick.

Not wanting to waste any time, you simply ignored her appearance, and led her out of the house. And with Dark Dream trailing closely behind, you headed straight to Natts’ House.

After explaining everything to Natts, he very reluctantly allowed Dark Dream to hang around. Though, he still watched her like a hawk. But knowing his trust issues, that was understandable. You luckily didn’t have to deal with Coco or Milk as well, as they had gone to Palmier Kingdom for business. So the only thing you now needed to do was wait for the Pretty Cure.

After a very awkward ten or so minutes, the door opened with the jingle of a bell. “Natts!” A cheerful voice called out.

“Up here.” He responded from the upstairs lounge.

You heard loud footsteps run up the stairs, then Nozomi finally saw who was there waiting for her. She froze, dropping her school bag, as well as her jaw.

“Whaaaaat?!” She exclaimed very loudly, practically shaking the building.

After locking eyes with her, Dark Dream smiled softly, and stood up. “Hello, Nozomi.”

At that time, the other girls had made it upstairs to see what all the fuss was about. They were just as bewildered to see who was there as their friend was.

Nozomi ran to her, grabbing her hands in hers. “It really is you! But how?”

“I revived her. It took a ton of trial and error, and even more power, but I did it.” You proudly explained.

“But why?” Rin questioned.

You simply shrugged. “I was just curious.” This made her give you a judgey look.

“I can’t believe it! This is so cool!” Nozomi said, bouncing up and down a bit from excitement. “I promised you a second chance, and now you finally have it!” She pulled Dark Dream in for a hug. “We can finally be friends too!”

While Dark Dream was initially taken aback from the embrace, she smiled from Nozomi’s words.

“But what do we even call her? Dark Dream isn’t a normal name.” Rin mentioned.

“Oh, yeah.” Nozomi said.

Everyone thought for a moment. Then Urara came up with something. “Oh! What about ‘Nonomi’? It sounds like ‘Nozomi’!”

Natts scoffed. “Well that’s just-“

“I have no issue with that name.” Dark Dream interrupted before he could voice his opinion.

“Okay! ‘Nonomi’ it is!” Nozomi said happily. “It’s decided!” And to go with her catchphrase, she thrusted her whole arm upwards, pointing into the air.

“This is all cute and everything, but where is she gonna stay?” Rin asked, acting as if she was the only one with common sense.

“She can stay with me. I have the room. I mean, if it’s alright with her.” You said.

“Okay. I have no problem with that.” The newly named Nonomi responded.

“And you can go to school with us!” Nozomi said, clearly ecstatic.

“What’s ’school’?”

“Oh boy…” Rin sighed.

Karen placed a hand on her shoulder. “It’ll be fine. There are plenty of us to teach her everything she needs to know.”

“Oh! And I have plenty of books I can lend her!” Komachi added.

Natts sighed. “This is all just too much. I think I might close the shop for the day.”

He wasn’t wrong. So much had happened in such a short amount of time. Especially for Nonomi. She’d been revived by you, reunited with Nozomi and gained a new home and life all in one day. But she was completely ready for it. Nozomi had offered her friendship and a second chance, but her death prevented her from living it. But all thanks to you, she’s now able to. And she couldn’t be more happy.

As the sort of “right hand man” to Pierrot, Joker is expected to watch over and care for his child while he is still dormant. While he doesn’t enjoy those on the younger side, Joker actually grew rather fond of you. You’re truly your father’s child. You have a love for the dark and sadistic, and wish to give the world a bad end. And, to Joker’s delight, you also are quite mischievous. So while he was only acting as a caretaker to please Pierrot at first, he grew to genuinely care about you.

Joker strutted up to your room, figuring that you had slept in long enough. Though it’s always dark in the Bad End Kingdom, it was around eleven in the morning. He usually lets you sleep in, but this time, he had something to discuss with you.

“(name)? Are you up?” He asked, knocking on your door with the knuckle of his pointer finger. After hearing no response from you, he let himself in. “(name), I know you like your beauty sleep, but I have something to discuss with you.”

A low groan could be heard from under the mountain of blankets and pillows on your bed. Joker sighed, figuring that you were just being difficult. He walked over, and whipped everything away, exposing you to the cold.

The moment the warm plushness was removed, you curled up, shivering. That was odd, considering that when he did that, you’d normally be yelling at him. That’s when he noticed how awful you looked. You were noticeably more pale, with flushed cheeks. It looked like you were not happy to be existing at all.

“What’s the matter? You don’t look good.” He asked playfully. But he quickly realized that it was much more serious. Instead of giving him a normal response, you simply groaned again. It sounded nasally and scratchy. With a hum, he placed a hand on your forehead to confirm his suspicion. He was correct. You had a fever.

“Hm. I’ll be back in a bit. I’d tell you to stay put, but I know you’re not going anywhere.” Without waiting for a response from you, he disappeared with a flurry of cards.

Just a few minutes later, he reappeared in the same fashion. In his hand was a bottle of cold medicine and a small spoon. “Sit up.” He said while pouring the sticky liquid into it.

You obeyed, but not without small, bothered groans. “Did you get that from Majorina?” You asked, your voice hoarse.

“Goodness, no! I got this from the human realm. I didn’t want to risk you turning into a frog, or something of the sort. You know how that old witch is with her experiments.” He chuckled.

You laughed a bit too. Joker then gently raised the spoon to your lips. Reluctantly, you downed the bitter syrup. Afterwards, you made an exaggerated face of disgust.

“You’ll be fine. Imagine what it would’ve tasted like if Majorina made it.” Joker said.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” You sighed. You began rearranging your blankets and pillows to where they were before being moved. Joker helped you, tucking you back in as he did.

“What did you need to tell me?” You asked as the last pillow was placed.

“Oh, yes.” He said, remembering. “While it’s been a bit slow, your father is on the right track of being revived!” He patted your head, clearly happy for you.

“Really? Yay! I can’t wait to see him!” You quickly sat up due to your excitement.

Joker chuckled, before gently pushing you back down. “Careful. I know you’re happy, but don’t push yourself.”

Once you were all settled, he made his way out of your room. “Make sure to rest up. You’ll wanna be in your best shape for when your father returns.” After getting a nod from you, he closed the door behind him.

He let out a sigh as he made his way back. He didn’t expect to have to take care of a sick kid today, but he guessed it couldn’t be helped. Besides, if he had to be around any sick kid, he’d pick no one else but you; the only kid he enjoys the company of.

He’d be lying if he said he hasn’t been enjoying being your temporary guardian. You were a fun child. So while he couldn’t wait for his master to return, he could definitely bear having to care for you for a bit longer. Friendship way not be his thing, but you’re definitely an exception.

Trick or treat!

I thought we were supposed to ask for treats at the door... Am I missing something?

Ok but, I want to try talk about this scene a bit more. Because I genuinely like how it's been slowly built up.

Like, every time we see Torame, he wants to play. We also pretty much always see him play with other animals. Some seem playful alongside, some try running away in animal-like chase game. At start, it was rough and he would go back frustrated sounding and all. So like, Torame coming in, wanting to play, and now actually says something positive about the Wonderful Precures and leaves off with a happy laughting smile. Torame genuinely had good fun. And I find it nice.

And after the girls realise it, they decide to want to play together with him too. It's pretty neat how Torame's first introduction was honestly a terrifying moment for the girls, what with him terrorizing at close range with Friendy, and the dangers he was able to do with the garugaru eggs. But now, it's slowly and slowly becoming clearer that Torame is like a playful wolf pup that wants to play, and happens to be using Niko-animals who got turned into Garugaru eggs. Don't think he's even considering the state Niko-animals are at during those forms. He just sees it all as fun.

I have a feeling that, if we do get some sort of villain redeem arc at the end, as I personally do think it's best route for this show's themes and all, Torame will be the first one. Maybe something happens that makes Torame lean more to the Precures and reveals something about the past, or Gaou himself. Because someone needs to tell about Gaou more. And it would seem Niko ain't willing. She is hiding things, and with regret I bet.

But yeh, lots to love in this ep, and I wanted to make a post specifically about this scene.

The almost deafening sound of sirens blared through the building, flashing red lights accompanying it. Though it was annoying, it ended up paying in your favor, as it drowned out the sound of your shoes hitting the ground as you ran. And oh, were you running.

You clutched the bag holding your newly claimed item tightly. The last thing you wanted was to lose it. You’d already gone through enough trouble stealing it. Though, you didn’t think of it as stealing. You were simply getting it back.

A sigh of relief escaped you as you finally reached your spaceship. And not a moment too soon. Guards had found you, and were catching up fast. Their angry demands for you to stop went unheard, both because the sirens were louder, and because you were ignoring them. Quickly, you got into your ship, wasting no time starting it up.

By the time the guards had reached you, your ship was already levitating off the ground, spewing smoke from its motors. You watched in satisfaction as the gray cloud enveloped them, and they began to cough. Your job was now done.

Flopping down onto your chair, you finally allowed yourself to catch your breath. After switching the ship’s mode to autopilot, you took your finding out of the bag. It was a small, golden trinket box. Despite the size, it was worth more than you could imagine. But you didn’t take it because of its money value. You did it for a friend.

Yuni was your friend from Planet Rainbow. Unfortunately, everyone on her planet, except for her, was turned to stone by an accident involving a Notraider. After that, the planet’s treasures were stolen. Yuni took on the alias of the thief “Blue Cat” to take them back. So you, being her friend, offered to help.

And that’s what you’ve been doing for the past while. Just traveling from planet to planet, looking for Planet Rainbow’s treasures. You were rather proud of yourself for your latest find. It had a rather large rainbow ore, the planet’s signature stone, on it. You couldn’t wait to show it to Yuni. You hadn’t heard any word from her recently, so you’ve been a bit worried. But you knew that once you saw her, and knew she was okay, you’d be just fine.

The excited feeling only intensified as you landed your ship on the barren Planet Rainbow. You stepped out, immediately heading to your usual meeting spot. But to your surprise, your feline friend wasn’t there.

“Yuni! I got something for you!” You called out. But you went unanswered.

Figuring she was somewhere else on the planet, you wandered around for a bit. But after searching her usual, and even unusual spots, she was really nowhere to be found. Considering there was no message indicating she was out looking for more treasures, you were worried.

You figured it wouldn’t hurt to search for her. Maybe you could hunt down more items on the way. So you carved her a message on a nearby stone, as you usually did, and left once again.

However, you had only managed to travel for roughly an hour before your engine stopped.

“Oh no…” You said, realizing that you’d forgotten to refill the tank. Your ship was now floating aimlessly through space. There were no nearby planets, so you couldn’t ask for help. There was really nothing you could do.

As you contemplated your next move, a large shadow blocked out the small bit of light you already had. Looking out the window, you saw a giant meteor heading your way. You immediately began to panic. There was no way to dodge it, and you couldn’t leave the ship due to there being no breathable air.

Just as the giant rock was about to hit, a large flash of light blocked your view of everything. “What the heck?” You shouted as you covered your eyes.

The light stopped just as quick as it started. You removed your arms from your eyes, only to find yourself plummeting down into some unknown planet. You screamed, immediately activating your ship’s emergency safety feature. A parachute opened above the ship, and when the wind filled it, you were thrusted upwards a bit. But at least you weren’t falling anymore.

After catching your breath, you looked out the window once again. You could spot a lot of green nature below you, getting closer and closer as you drifted down. You had no idea what planet this was, or how you even got there. But you know it must’ve had something to do with that light.

“C’mon! Fuwa said it’s this way!” Hikaru called out to her friends as she raced into the woods. The aforementioned winged unicorn flew closely behind.

“I’m still confused. What exactly are we looking for? You dragged us here without much of an explanation. I only processed the part about Fuwa sensing something coming, and using her magic for whatever reason.” Yuni complained, taking her sweet time walking.

“Yeah. Is it a good something, or a bad something ~lun?” Lala asked.

“I think it’s good ~fuwa!” Fuwa said, continuing to zip around.

After a small walk through the trees, the group came across a small clearing. In the center was a spaceship.

“Woah.” Elena exclaimed.

“Whose ship is this?” Hikaru asked Yuni and Lala.

“No clue. You know we don’t know every alien, right ~lun?” Lala scoffed.

“No, I actually know whose ship this is.” Yuni said, stopping in her tracks once she realized.

“Really? Whose?” Madoka asked.

Suddenly, the ships door opened with a screech. Everyone tensed in anticipation, knowing the endless possibilities when it came to beings from other planets. A second later, out stepped a very exhausted and stressed looking alien.

“(name)!” Yuni called out happily. “I knew it was you!” She began running in your direction.

“Huh?” You looked up. As soon as you caught sight of the girl in front of you, you bolted towards her. “Yuni!”

You enveloped her in a bone crushing hug. You were fully aware that she wasn’t fond of them, but you felt you deserved one after not knowing where or how she was for so long. Her tail fully straightened out, puffing up a bit, a clear sign that she was not fond of what you were doing.

“Where the heck have you been?!” You shouted. “I haven’t heard anything from you in forever, and you weren’t at Planet Rainbow! You could’ve at least left me some sort of message!” You scolded, just spewing out all the feelings you’ve been holding in.

“I-I-“ Yuni struggled to get the words out. “Maybe if you let go of me, I can tell you.”

You obliged, desperate for answers. Yuni panted, catching her breath from being squeezed so tight. “So… kind of a lot has happened since you last took off.”

“Uh huh. I have plenty of time to listen.” You replied, letting her know that you were going to get a story out of her.

“So after you left… well�� one thing led to another and… I’m a Pretty Cure now.” She explained.

“… A what?” You questioned.

Yuni let out an exasperated sigh. “Okay. Guess you’re gonna need more details.”

After a quite long and confusing explanation, you were left speechless. Sitting on the soft, green ground of the planet you now knew as “Earth”, you processed everything that Yuni had told you.

“Wow.” You said. “So you’ve sure been busy, huh?”

Yuni scratched the back of her neck bashfully. “Haha, yeah. Sorry for not communicating with you. I guess I just lost track of everything.”

“It’s okay. I get it.” You waved your hand to assure her. Then, after remembering something, you snapped your fingers. “Oh! Hang on! I got something for you!”

The others watched as you ran back to your ship. When you returned a few moments later, you held a bag in your hand. “I just got this today.” You reached into the bag, and pulled out the trinket box.

Yuni gasped softly. You held it out for her to take, to which she wasted no time to do. She stared lovingly at the small box, being reminded of her home. The rainbow ore reflected into her glossy eyes.

“Thank you, (name).” She said.

“I’m glad you’re happy. It took a heck of a lot of effort to get it. I probably need to hide away for a while now. Just until everything dies down.” You laughed. “Besides, I don’t think my ship’s in any condition to go anywhere soon.”

“We’ll help you fix it!” Hikaru offered.

“Yeah, why not?” Elena chimed in.

Yuni chuckled at her friends’ typical kindness. “I mean, I guess it’s only fair. You went through a lot of trouble for this.”

“That would be great. Thanks guys!” You said. “And while I’m here, you can teach me all about this planet!”

Everyone smiled warmly at you, happy to be of help. You truly didn’t know what to expect of this planet’s inhabitants when you landed, but it seemed that they’re a very nice species. You were glad that Yuni was okay, and that she had made such good friends. And soon, they’d grow to be yours too.
