“You sure you got everything? Toothbrush, clothes, all your hair stuff?” You asked Baritone over the phone.

“Yes.” He sighed, getting annoyed. You had asked him plenty of times before, after all. “I’ll be over in a bit. I want to get out of here as soon as possible. Falsetto and Bassdrum are complaining about me leaving them behind.”

You laughed. “Well let them know we’re gonna have lots of fun without them.”

“Oh, I will.” He chuckled. “Alright then, bye. Love you.” You could practically hear his smile from over the phone. And after saying the same thing, you hung up.

You were feeling pretty nervous, and you felt you had every right to. Your boyfriend was sleeping over at your house for the first time. Even though he’s been over countless times before, the fact that he’s staying the night makes things feel that much different for some reason. You’ve lost count of how many times you’d checked if everything was clean enough. Your brain knew it was, and you also knew that Baritone couldn’t care less if one little thing was out of place. But still, you were anxious.

With nothing else to do but wait, you sat down on your couch, and did just that. Scrolling on your phone seemed to do nothing to pass the time. You couldn’t focus on anything long enough to be decently distracted.

But thankfully, Baritone stayed true to his word. Not ten minutes later, you heard a knock at your door. The familiar pattern let you know for sure that it was him. Speed walking to answer it, you’d already forgotten how nervous you were.

“Hey!” You greeted happily after opening the door. You stepped to the side to let him in.

Baritone smiled back gently. He held an overnight bag in on hand. “Hey.” As always, after walking in, he took off his shoes. “Where should I put this?” He asked, referring to his bag.

“Oh, you can put it anywhere. I don’t care.” You smiled.

He hummed, and walked into the living room. After setting his bag down onto the couch, he unzipped it.

“I’m guessing you wanna set up all your stuff first.” You smirked, knowing his routines.

He huffed out a laugh. “Yes. Just to get it out of the way.”

Of course, you let him do as he pleased.

Your bathroom now had many more hair and skin products than before. But you didn’t mind one bit. Even so, you knew better than to complain about Baritone’s beauty routines.

The night was already going great so far. You had ordered takeout from your favorite place, and watched a movie. You picked out a musical to be funny, but Baritone actually really enjoyed it. You should’ve known. He is a music kind of guy, after all.

Now, you both sat on your bed, finishing the last on your nightly routines. Actually, you had finished a while ago. But Baritone took longer due to his beauty routines. He was now getting ready to brush his hair.

“Lemme do it!” You said enthusiastically, holding out your hand to ask for the brush.

“Why?” He questioned, his look a bit too judgy for your liking.

“C’mon, I just wanna brush your cool hair. It’s way better than mine, so I wanna experience it.”

He rolled his eyes, scoffing out a laugh. “Okay then. Experience it.” He said, handing you the brush.

Wasting no time, you got to work. Starting from the ends, you carefully made your way up. You knew you probably didn’t need to be this careful, since it wasn’t tangled or anything. But you’d rather do that than risk being scolded for doing something to Baritone’s precious locks.

It was very enjoyable to brush through the endless strands of cool blue. And Baritone didn’t seem to hate it either, as he remained silent the whole time.

Once you were done, he used a scrunchie to tie his hair into a low ponytail.

“Aww.” You teased. “I didn’t know you do that when you go to bed.”

“It keeps it from getting too tangled in my sleep. It’s a real pain when that happens.” He explained.

“Yeah, I can imagine.” You pulled down the covers of your bed, and got in.

Baritone stood on the other side awkwardly. It was as if he was unsure if he should get in or not.

Worried that he might’ve been uncomfortable, you spoke up. “You’re free to sleep on the couch if you want. You don’t have to sleep next to me.”

“Oh no, that’s fine.” He assured you. “I’ve just never slept next to someone before. Let alone my partner.”

“Oh, yeah. Well there’s a first for everything, I guess.”

A bit reluctantly, he crawled onto the bed, slipping underneath the covers.

“Well, goodnight.” You said.

Right before you reached over to turn your lamp off, Baritone placed a hand of your shoulder. You turned to look at him, and was met with his lips on your cheek.

“Goodnight.” He then fully lied down, turning his back to you.

“Gosh, you little sneak.” You snickered. He chuckled as well, though it was barely audible.

After turning off the light, you lied down as well, and you both went to sleep.

In the middle of the night, and you had woken up needing to go to the bathroom. But as you tried to get up, you felt something stopping you from doing so. When you heard a sleepy groan from above you, you realized that Baritone was behind you.

His arms wrapped fully around your waist, and his head rested on yours. You tried your best not to laugh, nearly failing.

As much as you needed to get up, you figured you could wait a little bit. Besides, you would want to get up in this situation?

Aaravos is essentially this world's equivalent to Prometheus. He is the story's main antagonist, a mastermind, and insanely powerful. He is also very very attractive with a low baritone voice that makes you melt and gives you chills.

Baritone had been to Kanon town plenty of times before. But this time seemed so different. And the reason for that was plain as day.

Cameras, props and staff filled the streets. Everyone moved around with such certainty, as if they were being controlled. But they were just doing their jobs. He imagined they’d been practicing for quite some time.

You had invited him to look behind the scenes of the filming of a movie you’re in. He had never seen you act in person before, so he obviously accepted the offer. And he was quite excited.

As he got closer to the scene, a man blocked his path. “I’m sorry, sir, but you’re going to need to take a different route. We’re filming in this area.”

Taking a closer look at him, Baritone saw an ID attached to the man’s shirt that showed he was a part of the staff.

“Excuse me, but I’m actually here for (full name).” He stated calmly.

“And what’s your relation to them?” The man drilled.

“I’m their boyfriend. They said I could look around here today; see what goes on behind the scenes.” He talked with his typical, confident attitude to try to convince to him he was being truthful.

The man hummed. “I think I remember them mentioning something like that. What did they say your name was? Barry?”

“Baritone.” He corrected, almost offended.

“Yeah, that. Give me a moment to check with them.” Without waiting for an answer, the man left.

Baritone scoffed, irritated that he had to deal with this. But he supposed it was to be expected. You were a pretty well known actor, after all. He couldn’t just be immediately be trusted when claiming to be your boyfriend. So he figured he could suck it up.

After waiting a few moments, the man came back. “Looks like you’re good. Follow me.” He gestured for him to move forward. Baritone obeyed, while flipping his cape a bit as some sort of sassy victory.

On the way, he took sight of his surroundings. There were tons of cameras, lights and countless other devices that he didn’t even know about. He barely knew about technology at all to begin with. His homeland, Major Land, didn’t have anything like that. It hurt his brain a bit to try to understand what all those devices did.

A few people he assumed to be other actors could be seen getting their makeup done or reciting their lines. They were always surrounded by staff members, making sure all their needs were met. Baritone hadn’t really seen many movies, only the ones you were in. But he could tell how legit this was. He couldn’t help but feel some sort of importance by being able to be behind the scenes like this.

After a bit more walking and zigzagging past other people, he finally caught sight of you. You sat in your own little chair, and a makeup artist stood right in front of you, doing the finishing touches on your face.

“Here he is, Mx. (last name).” The man announced, gesturing to Baritone.

You whipped your head in his direction excitedly, startling the makeup artist. “Baritone! Hi!” You hopped out of your chair, rushing over to give him a hug. He happily accepted it.

“Hello, (name).” He greeted. “Are you going to start filming soon?”

“Yeah, in just a few minutes. I was just getting the rest of my makeup done. Oh!” You finally realized you had practically abandoned the makeup artist without warning. “Sorry!”

They just chuckled. “It’s okay. But we should really finish up now.”

“Yeah, you’re right.” You gave Baritone an apologetic smile, before heading back to your chair. “Feel free to look around. It’s your first time seeing how movies are made, right?” You told him.

“Yes. But I’ll stay here. I want to see you act.” He said, walking over to stand next to where you were sitting.

“Alright. It won’t be too long.” You assured him.

“Action!” The director called from his seat. Everyone on set went silent, knowing that only the actors were allowed to speak at this time.

Baritone waited in anticipation. He couldn’t care less about whoever the other actors were, or even the story itself. He just wanted to see you in your element.

And there you were. After turning the corner, you performed what you had practiced. “What are you doing here? I thought I told you to never come back.”

Your acting was so convincing. It was as if you transformed into the character themself. It shocked Baritone that you weren’t more famous. You had an unbelievable amount of talent.

It made him realize how lucky he was to be dating you. He’d be lying if he said it didn’t feel really cool being with such an awesome actor. Watching you act was so mesmerizing to him, he didn’t notice how much time had passed until the scene was done.

The moment the director called “Cut!”, Baritone rushed over to you, grabbing your water bottle from next to your chair on the way.

“(name), that was wonderful.” He complimented, handing you the drink.

“Thank you!” You wasted no time opening the cap, and taking big sips of the water. Beads of sweat rolled down your face, a clear sign of your hard work.

“So you’re done for the day?” Baritone asked.

You let out a refreshed exhale once you finished drinking. “Yeah. You wanna head home with me?”

“Of course.” He held out his hand, to which you gladly took.

On your way out, many people stopped to congratulate you on your performance. You thanked all of them humbly, and Baritone just watched with a smile. He was genuinely proud of your talent, and it made him happy that he could be with someone like that.

“Wanna watch a movie when we get back?” You asked, snapping him out of his thoughts.

“Sure.”

“Cool. Any ideas?”

Baritone chuckled a bit before giving his answer. “One with you in it.”
