Twitter is a cesspool honestly, it just feeds on negativity and breeds negativity. Thirteen years I've been a fan of Anna Torv, THIRTEEN YEARS and I've been nothing but respectful towards her as human, if not a bit intense at times because that's what we do as fangirls. Yet in less than a year on twitter I've been made to feel like a creep, judged and talked about (not to mention actively ignored) by people who discovered she existed 6 months ago.

I'm not saying this in a 'fans are better when they've been fans longer' way, that's a stupid notion. But I do think that when you've been fan for a long time, there is a history there, literal years that show how we've behaved through the ages. And context for why some things happened.

You can disagree with some of my choices, I am self-aware enough to realize that if you're not in my head, you don't know why I do things/react the way I do, but I *know* I've been as decent as I could be, I've adjusted my attitude whenever necessary, and I've certainly never, ever meant to do anything Anna herself would find disrespectful.

It's sickening to see so many people defend rape, torture and murder. So many people who keep reblogging posts about fighting antisemitism but immediately rejoice when horrifying stuff happens to Israelis. So many people whose morals very obviously depend on whether they like someone or not. Kidnapping children, sexual assault, killing people (especially civilians!) is evil no matter who the victim is! I literally cannot comprehend how you can just switch off your compassion for other human beings.

And for what? Hamas and their methods aren't representative of Palestinians and they sure as hell don't give a fuck about their well-being either. They want Israel to retaliate and kill as many innocent Palestinans as possible. And the Israelis that died, their deaths won't help Palestinians either, their suffering continues. Once again hundreds and hundreds of powerless people on both sides die(d). For absolutely nothing.

I love both versions of his story and it kinda rubs me the wrong way how Spawn Astarion purists will harass and judge people who enjoy Ascended Astarion while also picking and choosing traits they like from Ascended Astarion (and Wyll but that’s another discussion) to give to Spawn Astarion.

Just let it be known that if a certain villain stan in the Trollhunters fandom is talking any sort of shit about Goldie in people's DMs, please know that this person is an unreliable narrator and is literally the only person Goldie's ever had to straight-up block due to them CONSTANTLY overstepping boundaries and trying to twist her words in an attempt to make her sound horrible. Normally I wouldn't comment publicly on this at all, since it happened over a year ago and there should be no reason to still be bringing it up, but the fact that I just saw ANOTHER vaguepost about the situation that was posted merely a month ago makes me worry that they might also be talking shit about her in DMs if they're still hung up about it after THIS long. And I don't like the idea of somebody doing that to my friend with severe mental health struggles who isn't even around to defend herself these days. :/

I recently found out that Native People in the American continent have their own name for it, which is Abya Yala.

Anyway, wouldn't it be nice if we started to support their right for self determination and freedom from the oppression of colonial rule? Wouldn't it be nice if we support the complete and immediate abolition of all colonizer countries, which are *checks notes* every single country in the American continent plus the island ones? Wouldn't it be nice if we started telling all the settlers, conquistadors and immigrants to Go Back To Where They Came From? Wouldn't it be nice if we started chanting in the streets and online for the cleansing of the continent from all non-Native people? Wait, that sounds kind of extreme, doesn't it? But what if it rhymed? Everyone knows that if it rhymes it's true and justified right? So maybe the American continent should be free, you know, maybe from shore to shore... no, no. From sea to sea, that's it! What a great cause! And great causes are worth fighting for by all means, right? Obviously, I do not support violence at all, but like wouldn't it be justified if Native People were to become violent in their fight for freedom? i have not even begun to process how lavinia is feeling and instead i am thinking about hilda and alistair going to weisshaupt after adamant and hilda saying they're just gonna stay for a bit before heading out to work with the inquisition and then it's been a year and then two years and beth and nathaniel are back at vigil's keep but hilda can't bring herself to go back when the whole order is at best a laughingstock and at worst an enemy in ferelden and her and alistair build a home in weisshaupt that neither of them really want and. *prefacing by saying this is a quick, dirty, not well articulated post

it's fairly agreed-upon that trans healthcare is necessary for preventing suicide (and more generally promoting quality of life and so on, obviously) so i have a hard time squaring with the idea that "both candidates are bad" when one candidate will back the banning of trans healthcare nationwide and the other not only won't but might support the protection of trans healthcare. this applies across a couple of other issues important to me but this feels like the quickest and simplest math (and because i'm personally familiar with this issue when it comes to trans youth particularly, who are under sustained threat).

if you're concerned with not being complicit in evil, that's commendable, but can you then see how it is complicit in harm to trans lives (among many other threatened groups) not to vote for the democratic candidate?
