Hey Loren! I wanted to see your opinion on this. Normally I'm a big Patbob girlie, but I rewatched the proshot recently and I was really digging Spandy?? Like Ethan and Christina have amazing on stage chemistry that I guess I just didn't notice the last few times I've watched it 😅

omg :') truly i believe that christina looked at sandy and said 'oh yeah she loves her boys, she LOVES her boys.' i was lucky enough to go see the spongebob musical on broadway a second time when she'd taken over the role and i noticed that her portrayal was a lot more uh... generally touchy feely than lilli's was :') she truly takes any opportunity to give a casual touch to the boys, SB especially but i didn't escape my notice that she touched patrick more than lilli's sandy did too

obviously i'm comparing a bootleg to a proshot but this is how i remember the difference between both actresses when i saw each of them live too. ANYWAY this is the golden moment... (excuse the jumpy LQ gif i just used a quick screen recorder)

figure three: "very catchy." "yeah?" "yeah." "'cause i wasn't sure." "i think the rhyme is great."

THE CLOSENESS asfghfga she curls herself completely around his shoulder and then the way he puts his hand on her knee i know i've mostly been talking about christina's performance but you're right about her chemistry with ethan too! it's mutual contact in this bit, i like that the touch is reciprocated by him here

for comparison here's both actresses:

lilli & ethan's sandy & SB are like casual best buds in this scene but christina's sandy said i must squeeze him asfgh i think she thinks he's the cutest thing in the world tbh

anyway i love both actresses! this is just to show the difference lol - both sandys obviously love and care about their friends and she's a complete ride-or-die type of friend... christina plays her sandy as a way more physically affectionate character, especially around SB. [anyway here's a whole gifset of some of the proshot spandy moments] not including their hugs at the end because the camera was so zoomed out it wasn't good enough quality to gif haha but that was also a part that both lilli and christina gave their all to 💛

✧ throughout the day: – kept emails manageable – loaded the dishwasher ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ✧ on the bedroom setup: – ABC: shared “Faeries of the Faultlines” to O&T, Tumblr, and other social media; prepared Apr. 16th‘s ABC share – Pixiv: continued the purge of who was being followed after seeing AI-prompters (to put it mildly) slipped through, made it to page 13 of 44 – O&T: the scheduled VGQ & LQ were posted, then they were manually shared on other social media; finished preparing VGQs for Apr.; shared today’s TDL ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ✧ on the office setup: – Personal: avoided due to it worsening neck, shoulder, and lower back pain ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ✧ chores and miscellaneous: – Movies: “watched” “Sin City” repeatedly – Food: had cereal for breakfast; had leftover spaghetti and meatballs for lunch and dinner – Chores: checked the mail; washed some bedspreads; walked to and from Dairy Queen – YouTube: watched I’m Autistic, Now What?’s video “Your Kids are Going to Hate You | Autism Reels”; watched Upper Echelon’s video “‘Trust the Science’ – A Growing Problem”; watched Patrick (H) Willems’ video “When The Faithful Adaptation Is Actually Worse”
