NOTES: I think we can all agree that this is me trying is, without a doubt, about post-Madison Pat, and there is no discussion to be had about it. So many fics that center around that time period, and Pat learning how to grow up and maturing his relationship with Jonny. could fit into this rec. We’ve chosen a trade fic because it amps up the angst factor and here we are all about that angst.

Patrick’s begging for something he doesn’t know how to want. He doesn’t know how to want Jonny, how to even begin to try.

But Jonny’s holding him so tightly, like he’s afraid Patrick will slip from his grasp if he doesn’t, like Patrick’s water he has to cup in his palm at the fear it’ll spill.

Patrick’s spilling, all over the edges.

NOTES: This fic… This fic is a life-ruiner in the best possible way. Be mindful of the warnings, but rest assured that it is an absolute masterpiece if you’re into the subject matter in any way. Patrick’s character exploration is incredible in this one and the smut is so hot it makes you want to melt. I’m 100% sure Taylor actually wrote illicit affairs about this fic.

It’s vague, potentially completely unhelpful but Patrick thinks perhaps he can get that. He thinks that’s something he can understand.

He thinks maybe he’s always known.

NOTES: There is nothing sweeter than stories where Jonny and Pat grow up together and this one is the best thing you could ever read. Jonny’s and Pat’s characterizations are spot-on and the pining and longing in the story is so perfect. Just like in seven, Jonny and Pat fall in love at a very early age and you know they are just meant to be always.

rec comments: Uhhhh so….this fic. I gotta admit, most of the time I skim sex scenes because they just don’t really do it for me, especially because sometimes they’re just….there, I guess. But this whole fic was burning hot from beginning to end, and the big scene at the end might be my favorite sex scene of all time. A hot, fun, emotional read and I can’t wait to read more from the series. - @bennsseguin​
