hiii heathers au anon here currently freaking out at the notification of e's art for the au

ANYWAYS i rewatched heathers last night to help me decide more roles and im pretty happy with the current ones now that i've refreshed on the heathers characters... but then i realized oh shoot kurt and ram exist

i have to finish up some other povs of parallel life before i can confirm anything but im struggling on figuring out kurt and ram... i want them to be a soulmate pair ofc and one of my thoughts was maybe pickle and emerald but im not entirely sure on it.. still need to finish pickle's pov if im gonna assign bro anything (will get on that asap... pickles super funny i just have been sooooo busy)

i think that fully covers the main few characters now... have no idea what to do for the rest... yeah it would just fill in with the rest of the PL members but for extras like ms fleming i'd love to assign someone i just dont know WHO 😭

finally had the time to rewatch heathers!!! i rewatched the heathers musical because boy loves a good musical. heres my small two cents on it all:

agree with the thought of pickle and emerald being kurt and ram, but i also think that no character will fit their narrative roles perfectly in heathers AND parallel life, so they’re the best we have atm. emerald and pickle are kurt and ram. yaoi wins again!

i think we should modify the heathers script to add more deaths. tell people they've always been there. ghost and tibby get to kill more people and we can include more of the parallel life cast. win-win (this would suck. do not recommend)

E has basically already accepted that letter is chandler so thats locked and loaded

i think that haunting, will, or mar should be duke. as much as i love the original characterization of duke, we'd have to tweak it a bunch to make anyone work for that anyways. personally i AM leaning mar like you originally said but i did just wanna toss a few ideas out there

crow is 100 percent mcnamara. fits the narrative role pretty well and is very much E's lackey for a bit near the end.

Soulmate au asker here!!! Just gonna call myself 🦆 anon since I'll probably appear on this blog often NOW WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME WITH THE SANGIHUN PART. I love Inhun, but Sangihun has always been special to me with how tragic it is. The color soulmate au is just so beautifully tragic for them I swear I love your soulmate au for Inhun, it's amazing Do you think In-ho would tell Gi-hun his real name when he reveals himself, or do you think Gi-hun will just never find out and they both die without their soulmate?

I'm not sure what kind of soulmate au I'd use for them, but I can see In-ho, once he finds out Gi-hun is his soulmate, he just becomes so obsessed with Gi-hun. Like, bro has been waiting for his soulmate his entire life, he is not about to lose him now, not even to death. That man is gonna keep Gi-hun by his side as his precious malewife whether Gi-hun likes it or not.

Idea where this starts in the first game and In-ho purposely kills off Sang-woo since he sees him as a threat. Second game parallel to this where In-ho gets jealous once more and kills off Jung-bae (Jung-bae my beloved, RIP)

i love love love childhood friends to lovers, so sangihun is like crack to me, and they're story ends in tragedy, which is like double crack.

so, i think bc of the "rules" of the au, which is that u have to say your soulmate's name, i don't think inho actually telling gihun his name would do anything since gihun's himself has to say it.

now, inho could tell gihun that he is his soulmate and i wonder if gihun would believe him? maybe he'd think inho is trying to manipulate him even more and decide that he can't trust inho to be hoenst with him.

then, i think they would both die without their soulmate, especially if it's canon compliant since i dont see inho living for much longer 🤧

possessive inho i love you! yes, he would be so obsessed with keeping gihun with him, he'd be like a man on a mission!! soulmates are meant to be together, everyone knows, so gihun has not choice in the matter....

as for which soulmate au, it'd have to be one where they can be apart when discovering they're soulmates, so maybe "your soulmate's first words to you are written on ur skin". after deoksu killes that man, gihun explodes and yells at the guards and then he turns to the camera and looks inho in the eyes, metaphorically lol, and says something i can't remember rn. inho could discover gihun is his soulmate then and he decides to eliminate his competition!

have you guys watched the good place? if you have oh boy do i have the total drama au for you.

more under the cut in case ppl haven’t seen the good place! (watch it with no spoilers it’s one of the best shows of all time, it’s on netflix!)

(the characters and relationships in the actual show do not line up with the placements of the tdi characters, sue me! they fit better this way :))

noah takes on eleanor’s role as the protagonist. he wakes up in “the good place” and realizes quickly “aw fuck i’m not supposed to be here” and goes a little mental about it for a while!!

heather is michael, because it makes sense in my head okay. she’s very excited to have to new way of torturing humans, and is angry as hell when she fails over and over again because noah keeps figuring out it’s actually the bad place. she’s even more mad when she eventually learns to care about the humans LOL

sierra is janet, making sense as the all knowing entity of the universe. the main sierra is a “good place” sierra, but there’s many different versions of her. she develops real feelings everytime she gets rebooted along with the neighborhood!

courtney is chidi, when she was alive she was a very good lawyer. she knows her stuff about morals and ethics and is the one to usually end up teaching and helping the others how to be good people (not to say she doenst have her own stuff wrong just like everyone else!)

alejandro is more of tahani, in which on earth he appeared to be a very good and generous person, but he’s also kinda a vain asshole. he has a lot of family problems and was raised in competition with his brother, but he’s also usually the first person noah goes to when he realizes he’s screwed since he knows he doesn’t belong.

gwen is jason! she’s definitely not nearly as stupid as he is, but i see her plot as needing to hide herself working well somehow. she wasn’t a terrible person but she wasn’t great either, and taking one look around she knows she definitely doesn’t belong there either. her and noah are both happy and horrified when they discover each other!

anyways this is definitely alenoah because i see them having the relationship that eleanor and chidi have because i want it. I WANT IT.

the first time noah figures out it’s the bad place, the first thing he can think of to write to give him any clue on what’s going on when his memory is rebooted, is “find alejandro”

and in parallel later in the show when alejandro gets his memory rebooted, because he spent his whole life trying to find some meaning in whatever his life was, where he seemed to have everything but nothing at all, and he writes to himself, “there is no meaning. but noah is the meaning.” like please i’m on the floor do you guys see my vision

This might be a weird question but with the couple mentions about music associated with HL, I'm wondering if you're a musical theatre fan at all and, if so, what songs you'd associate with him from that genre?

ohhhh this is so fun!! i do very much enjoy musical theatre.

first of all i love phantom of the opera very much. while i don't super associate him with any one particular song from it, i've made a lot of references to a phantom!homelander au. @risotto-katsuragi actually made one of my favorite posts full of homelander/erik parallels that you can find it here!

okay as for songs!

Lonely Room - Oklahoma! Judd Fry is a frightening and deeply sad, lonely character. this song makes me think of Homelander alone in the bad room, and then eventually alone in his penthouse, dreaming and wishing for the perfect life he was promised where everything would finally work out for him. when it doesn't, he turns to violence.

Meant to Be Yours - Heathers this song has all the manic and pathetic energy i love in Homelander. it's giving the same energy as his "Let's light this candle!" speech. the jumps from crazed demands to begging especially remind me of him.

You'll Be Back - Hamilton i don't have an especially profound reason for this one, it's mainly a matter of vibes. the jovial sound of it paired with the very upfront threats are extremely Homelander to me.

Dentist! - Little Shop of Horrors this one is also more abstract. it makes me think of that deleted scene where he breaks his nanny's spine. they always knew what he was going to be. they encouraged his cruelty and pushed him towards being a "hero" that would ultimately only ever cause people pain and harm. imo Homelander isn't a genuine sadist so much as a kid that never grew up—always pulling the legs off of insects and brutalizing his toys because it's all he's known—i just love me some camp villainy.

Denji- Scott (I considered Duncan but Duncan has too much ego. Scott has the perfect mix of delinquent but also desperate for positive reinforcement. Blondish boys who get mauled to death and keep getting back up. Does that make Fang Puchita? Maybe?)

Makima- Scarlett (I spent real life twenty minutes arguing with myself over this. I almost picked blainely but thought better. They both have a double act thing going on, and also red hair. Hair color goes a mile when assigning characters together)

Aki- Alejandro (both get kicked in the nuts on screen, there's another parallel to what happens to both of them at the end of their arc but I wont elaborate to avoid spoilers)

Power- Blainely (wanted to make this Izzy but there was a better fit elsewhere. Power can be reasoned with I think, she's just very self serving.)

Himeno- Bridgette (I don't know either. Similar personalities I guess?)

Kobeni- Zoey (Zoey would kill Scott if she needed to in order to survive, I think.)

Okay. Hi. First off. I’m back again as I come and go because attention span and brain is weird as one does. Yes.

Second. Teen Titans AU. Oh my goodness. I loved teen titans when I was younger. Teen titans go pained the very essence of my being. I think Raven was my first fem crush? Which I did not realize was a crush until many many years later as I was raised in a religious house with a religious family and yeah. Didn’t know that my liking of her wasn’t as much “Oh! She’s pretty!” As it was more so “Oh! She’s pretty…” so yeah.

Next. Please please please tell me I’m not the only one who sees Heathers the Musical parallels with the bad boys. I know fanart, or limited life at least from what I’ve seen, usually depicts Jimmy with blue, but he could totally fit Heather McNamara. I don’t know who the others in Limited Life would fit, but the bad boys sooooo fit the Heathers. I’ve said a bit in a discord of this thought, but apparently maybe no one really… saw it? Idk. Alex is High & Live Streaming - Chapter 2

October 9th, Monday

4:40 pm (Alex)

Decided to get high today. 

Know it wasn’t necessarily the thing that like, S & Co would like all that much. After all, they did a wake and bake today.

But they didn’t ask us not to. We gave them plenty of time to say something about whether they thought it was a good idea for us to do or not – or if they just wanted to be high, alone.

It’s not like they can’t just…. Do their own thing while we get high at the same time. 

Parallel play. Literally. But also parallel working. We both have mental health stuff to do. I ended up cleaning a good chunk of the bathroom again, as well as took out the trash, and changed my sheets – including pillow cases… I haven’t thrown the clothes in the washer yet (I don’t trust my balance on those stairs), but I have it and Bob’s laundry basket like, prepared to go downstairs. 

If I don’t get it downstairs today, that’s alright. He did his laundry yesterday. I can just let him add his laundry from tonight in there and I’ll run it tomorrow. 

The key to life work balance is to just… do what you want, man. You get paid in some way shape or form. Companies rewarding you for watching ads, surveys, writing in google docs and knowing that your work is likely to be stolen by Al but you know what

Let my ideas get out there to the world. 

I give Al permission to steal as much from my shit as much as they like – as long as the universe pays me back for their theft.

One of my favorite things is to spite-read fanfic. Y’know, the premise is fucking amazing. Say, um. Hm. Which fanfic is a good example of this that we’ve read earlier?

Oh no, there’s another one that like – there’s that one Wrightwortth fic too that’s like, 400k words long and every single time I want to read something really, really fucking long, I always try to read it, and then have to stop a chapter in because Edgeworth would never. 

*You know what story that like, in hindsight, could’ve been so much better if the writer was A: better at fucking writing, B: not a racist, transphobic, sexist piece of shit?

thinking about the parallel life heathers au and i've rewatched the original movie twice in the last few days so i wanted to yap about all of my reasonings in one post for my ideas for who would be who when i first brought it up to robin!!

ghost/jason dean - it honestly just MAKES SENSE i fear. ghost and his constant murder spree after he turned red??? jd and the immediate "oh yeah lets kill these guys" after the first death (chandler) in heathers??? same person right there. but what really sealed the deal on this was when ghost mentioned that if it was him and tibby in the end he was gonna blow himself up. sound familiar? yeah.

tibby/veronica sawyer - partner in crime!! whisps as the two main characters is fire duhh!! the main point i was gonna make here ended up getting put in e's section of this post instead oops but either way it just makes sense with ghost as jd :3 i can go into more depth on this sometime in the future... (i paused and came back to write tibby's bullet point last and yapped too much to where i forgot my points for this one. oops...)

charlie/martha dunnstock - in the musical, martha is veronica's best friend - this isn't so much represented in the movie, but i wanted to include it anyway. while tibby and charlie didnt talk much until the last two episodes, they were still soulbound. its kind of like how veronica rarely spoke to martha after being indoctrinated into the heathers' group.

e/heather chandler - ngl. im so biased on making e chandler. or at least i was when i started this... then it started actually making so much sense! someone correct me if im wrong, but i remember someone mentioning tibby wanting to be the one to take e out of the series in parallel life, which in this case it matches up pretty well, what with veronica and jd killing heather c via drain cleaning fluid. but also, e is just a bad bitch in general like??? they have that aura y'know?? (/pos) this also all started lining up pretty well once i started thinking about the other heathers which i'll explain in their sections instead

crow/heather mcnamara - DUDE!! CROW IS JUST MCNAMARA. LIKE PERIOD. okay but seriously like what with e taking in crow after ghost killed her the second time in ep 3, and crow basically becoming e's, for lack of better words, lackey (via lovebombing oh god the toxic yuri gulp) it just makes sense. and honestly?? lifeboat from the musical?? it REALLY gives off crow vibes in ep 3 when she's still trying to be with ghostfoam, and then again when ghost tells her she's part of the deal with e in ep 4. like?? "if i say the wrong thing or i wear the wrong outfit, they'll throw me right over the side" (lifeboat) honestly feels like it fits SO WELL with how ghost treated her like she was expendable?? like in ep 4 he says things along the lines of being able to kill crow at any moment SO MANY TIMES

mar/heather duke - i already went into a lot more detail on mar being duke in this ask, but my basis for it is from how ghost treated them the whole season. being neglected for someone else the whole time (chandler absolutely neglecting duke in the movie AND musical, even heavier in the movie) and then when given the chance trying to act like someone else to be above things and be liked. another thing i wanna add that i didnt say in the original ask about mar is when e basically took mar in for just a bit for the "broken hearts club" after picking up tibby and crow off the side of the road (post-whisp "breakup") which basically adds on to that heathers trio being a trio yknow??

pickle + emerald/kurt kelly + ram sweeney - lowkey?? originally i had no clue who to put as kurt/ram. but i also assigned this when i'd only watched ep 1 of pickle's pov, BUT i finally watched his pov last night! (its so good omfg) and honestly? kinda fits. like okay these guys got murdered when they werent even like doing anything via someone else's influence (lava trap influenced by the ghosts... ich lüge bullets... yeah!) i know pickle's final ep isnt out but yk using context clues from e's pov and all of that since e set the trap! obv most of the heathers narrative for kurt/ram doesnt work too well with anyone in parallel life but hey these guys had a whole bee birth scene in their house. close enough bro...

Some fun facts about SoE that have no meaning in no order just when I thought of them

Rin n co studied Jekyll and Hyde for English GCSE (which was at the same time as SoE was happening). Because of this, when she was an adult, she recommended the book to Cyan, who hadn't read it before. They read it n went "omg lol this is me", much to Rin's concern

Cyan has an older sister who I don't talk about enough- but also they don't remember her at all so it doesn't matter (<- definitely has a name for her yep)

Callie is an unreliable narrator (ik I said this a couple days ago but expanding on it a lil - there are some parts she is intentionally hiding from the audience. she has slipped up a couple times while trying to keep these hidden things hidden)

I've written up to episode 11 (the denouement) but I'm unsure of pacing and everything so :( idk :( I like Episode 6 so I'm posting at least all 3 parts of that (there's one more Episode 6 hehe)
