“For Your Own Protection” Chp. 1
(a KohRin + slight SessKag series)
The wind whirled through Sesshomaru’s hair as he soared just beneath the cover of clouds towards the village of Edo, and the Lord of the Western Lands was quietly grateful for the breeze that lapped against his skin as he flew. The summer season had been unusually hot and sticky, the air annoyingly clinging to one’s skin should they decide to make a now seemingly perilous journey under the sun and outside of the shade provided by one’s hut. Despite his historically high tolerance for discomfort, even Sesshomaru could admit to himself that after a day’s travel, there was nothing more he wanted to do than rid himself of his robes and hurl himself into the nearest spring to wash the invisible grime of the day off his being.
No matter, he reconciled to himself, blinking his eyes and tilting his head downwards to once again focus his gaze on the land far below his feet. There was no time for musing about the heat— he had a mission to carry out. Inhaling deeply, his expert nose picked up the scents he was looking for: cooked meats, spices and herbs, and, well, human sweat. And his half-brother. He didn’t know which smell to grimace at more. Yes, he was on the right path. Edo couldn’t possibly be too far from him now.
His intuitions were correct. It took Sesshomaru but a few more minutes until he began his descent into the village, working diligently, as he glided to the ground, to dismiss the narratives of loathing that danced in his mind about the precious manufactured breeze slipping away from him and the sights, sounds, and smells of the village inevitably beginning to assault his heightened senses. The sun hung high in the sky, and he could hear the insects singing in the grass around him as his feet gracefully met the earth. Rolling back his shoulders under his heavy armor, Sesshomaru furrowed his eyebrows. When did he become so accustomed to whining like a pup? It must be the heat.
Or you’re becoming grumpier as you age, a voice eerily akin to that of the shikon miko, with a confidence so unusual for a woman in this era to have in speaking to a being of higher status, teasingly whispered in the back of his mind. He blinked, rejecting the notion. No, it was certainly the heat. He almost paused to wonder why the voice had sounded like…
Sesshomaru closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. Deciphering that will have to wait. I have matters to attend to.
He wasn’t afforded much time to scan his surroundings before a shorter figure clad in purple robes barreled through the reed doors of a hut to his right with a shout, making his head turn towards the commotion.
“Lord Sesshomaru! You’ve returned!” Rin practically rejoiced, her arms outstretching towards him and voice ringing with a tone of glee that reminded him of the sound of summer chime bells ringing on the many human temples he’d passed on his travels. Sesshomaru turned to face her, catching her shoulders just before she could slam into him with what he had been previously informed was called a hug. Truth be told, even after years of having her under his care, he was still becoming accustomed to the reality that humans felt far more inclined to hug their loved ones in a warm embrace upon meeting. Such a display of affection had not happened during his childhood, at least. As if instinctually, one of his large hands found its way to the top of the girl’s head, gently resting there as she smiled up at him. If one was watching intently enough, they would notice how his normally ambivalent expression faded away, his gaze softening and his lips tugging into a small smile as he looked at the smaller, more cheerful form beside him.
“Rin… It’s good to see you. Are you well?” he asked, already knowing the answer. It was almost a silly question. Of course she was doing fine. He wouldn’t have allowed her to reside here in the village if he didn’t trust the human adults nearby to care for her. Regardless of his typical disdain for Inuyasha, Sesshomaru knew, deep down inside, that his half-brother would be at the ready to defend his precious Rin at a moment’s notice should the need arise. It was one of his younger sibling’s few redeeming qualities.
“Oh, yes! I’ve been well. Kaede-sama and Kagome-sama have been teaching me all about herbs, salves, potions, spices… I even learned how to fix broken bones last moon! Did I tell you that I’m thinking of becoming a healer? With a couple of more years of training, Kaede-sama says that I’ll…” The young girl’s voice prattled on excitedly, draining out into a sort of muffled background noise as he looked down at her, watching his adoptive daughter’s hands flurry about as she explained something. Admittedly, he didn’t hear much more of it. As he looked at her form, Sesshomaru felt a wave of… Sadness? Regret? No, those weren’t exactly right. It was something more akin to a sense of fleetingness.
How much had she grown since he’d last seen her? It had only been, what, seven moons? She was certainly taller now, and her kimono needed tailoring, as it was now climbing up her shin. Not scandalously, of course, but enough to where he noticed. He’d have put that on the list of things to inquire about—if there was any seamstress in the village, he could pay to have it adjusted. Or just buy a new one.
Perhaps that’d be easier. A new kimono that isn’t drenched in sweat from the heat would probably make her feel more comfortable. I will set aside some money, Sesshomaru mused to himself, continuing to analyze her.
Rin’s hair was a darker shade of brownish black now, and her cheeks were no longer as full and rosy and, dare he recall how the miko had once cooed, squishable, as they had been when she was a younger child. Her once cheeky smile, dotted with empty spaces where teeth would one day grow, was now full of dull, adult human teeth that made up a welcoming, gentle smile. Sesshomaru understood that she was sixteen years of age now… but that didn’t mean he wasn’t somewhat startled. Rationally, he knew full well that humans progressed through aging at rapid-fire speed compared to youkai. The demon lord had just never been an eyewitness to the process until now.
An even darker realization soon sprouted in his thoughts, a macabre reminder of his true reason for visiting the village.
If anyone… or any remotely powerful demon… were to attack the village, she’d almost be the perfect prey. Young, beautiful, and practically defenseless. There are those in the lands who would take advantage of her in the most horrific ways possible if they had the chance. I would hunt anyone down and kill them as revenge, of course, if they so much as looked at her in a defiling manner… But it’s still an unsavory thought. This cannot continue, especially with the rumors… The thoughts tugged and swirled around one another in his mind in a sort of torturous dance, causing his expression to sour.
Unbeknownst to Sesshomaru, Rin had slowly ceased her chatter and watched inquisitively as her lord’s eyes narrowed to gaze towards the dusty traveler’s road in the distance behind her. The teenager knew what that meant: her protector was deep in thought. She decided she could tell him more about her studies later. Just as Rin parted her lips to chirp an invitation inside and fill the momentary silence, Sesshomaru looked down towards her again, cutting her off.
“Let us not stay in the heat any longer, Rin. Is that elderly miko here? I must speak with her.”
Rin nodded her head, lifting her hand in the direction of the one-eyed miko’s hut. “Yes, Kaede-sama’s just inside. The others are here too! Ah, you’ll get to see almost everyone!” She nearly squealed out in response, turning on her heel to lead him to the dwelling. One could have joked that Sesshomaru almost followed obediently. How the tables had turned indeed—anything for him to escape melting under the sun.
Leaning forward so as to duck his way through the small entranceway of the old miko’s home, the crackly, hoarse voice of the one he knew as Kaede met his ears as she straightforwardly greeted him. “Lord Sesshomaru… Welcome to our village. What brings you here this time?”
The demon-slayer siblings, sitting adjacent to the shikon miko, looked up at him in mild surprise. Kagome, however, sent him her usual small, polite smile and greeted him on behalf of her sitting companions. “Yes, Sesshomaru-sama… It’s good to see you. I hope your travels weren’t too tiring.”
Sesshomaru paused. The boy and his older sister were here as well, hm? Interesting. And potentially useful. Rin rolled back and forth on her feet as she stood next to him, sending quick glances between himself and to the boy who had traveled with him before, Kohaku.
“I have come to discuss something urgent. Is the half-breed around as well? What of the monk?” Sesshomaru question, his voice setting a more serious tone for the conversation as his eyes scanned the room.
Kagome and the female slayer – Sango, Sesshomaru reminded himself – both nearly laughed, already knowing who he was referring to. They routinely wondered when the dog demon would finally come around to calling them their actual names. Sango spoke this time, “Inuyasha and Miroku are both out on a mission. A nearby village has been having some trouble with a boar youkai going on a rampage against the farmers and their crops.”
“Sounds inconvenient.” Sesshomaru curtly replied as he glanced across the room. Why was the slayer boy trying to hide his smile towards his ward? Did he think he was coy?
“Well, before you tell us the news, would you like some fresh water, Lord Sesshomaru?” Rin piped up in question, gently tugging on the robe covering his left arm and diverting the dog demon’s attention to her once more. Under normal circumstances the demon lord would have refrained from nourishing himself in front of others… But his dry throat told a different story. He quietly nodded to Rin. “And please, sit down!” she added, motioning him to sit. Sesshomaru buckled, as usual when it came to her, trying to plop down on the dirt floor beneath him as regally as possible.
All eyes were on him. “So,” Kagome began, easing everyone into conversation as she had almost always done, “What rumors do you have for us today? It must be serious for you to visit so unexpectedly.”
“Four moons ago,” began Sesshomaru, “I had heard whispers of a band of demons and humans nearly one hundred strong working together to raid human villages in the east. I didn’t think much of it before— it sounded incredulous at the time. Humans and demons collaborating to pillage? I brushed it off as nonsense.” His companions patiently soaked in his words, waiting for him to continue.
“Yet days ago, along the border between the west and east, I found three decimated villages filled with rotting corpses, all violated in a myriad of ways on the eastern side. Some were obviously carved apart using claws; others were sliced with swords. The women were defiled in ways I care not to speak of. While I cannot say with complete certainty that humans were the aggressors, I certainly scented the remnants of demon kind. And humans that were still alive. My instinct tells me not to disregard this.” Sesshomaru silently acknowledged Rin with a glance, who had gently placed a teacup filled with water in his open hand. He took a sip, relishing the cool liquid on his tongue.
“Given these rumors and my findings, I have made the decision that I’m going to remain here in the village for the next moon to keep watch in the event that they decide to cross the border.” He looked over at Rin who – to his surprise – had moved to sit next to the demon slayer boy. Sesshomaru’s eyes narrowed at the sight. Why wasn’t she sitting next to him? “Rin, you and I will be training together in the morning every day. Fighting. Self-defense. As much as I can teach you.”
Rin’s eyes widened to the size of saucers. “T-Training? A-And you’re living with us?” The words stammered out of her mouth in surprise.
“Do you believe me to have misspoken, Rin?” Sesshomaru questioned, setting the cup down in front of him.
It was Kaede’s turn to join the fray of conversation, her voice croaking in protest. “Nay, Lord Sesshomaru. That won’t be happening.”
His head quickly turned to glare at the old woman who was on the path to quickly being filed as ‘old hag’ in his mind. “Rin is focusing her studies on healing, and she’s excelling wonderfully. She may not have any spiritual power as a miko, but she’s a talented healer. I can’t have you pausing her studies for training how to fight—not when you’ve never taught her anything before and there are so many others here around her that are more than capable of defending the village. Besides, where would you reside? We have no empty huts for you.”
Sesshomaru’s lip nearly curled in irritation. He hated being questioned. What he despised even more was some wrinkly miko pointing out something that he knew he should have done much earlier.
“It doesn’t matter. I’ve decided this is best for Rin, and it will be happening. That is final.” Sesshomaru countered, the tone of his voice demanding acquiescence. “I will take care of my own accommodations. I do not need a home in the traditional sense.”
An irritatingly familiar voice boomed from the doorway behind him. “If this were such a big deal, why didn’t you take the band out before, huh? I thought you could handle hundred demons or so easily.” Sesshomaru nearly rolled his eyes. This is becoming more troublesome by the second, he grumbled internally.
The elder dog-demon shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, not even looking at this nuisance half-breed of a brother behind him. He heard the shuffling of Inuyasha’s fire rat as his sweat-drenched form sauntered into the room. The monk followed closely behind, settling next to his wife. That trademark, faint, all-knowing smile – the one where it seemed like the perverted monk knew something you didn’t know – crept onto his features. It irked Sesshomaru.
“The bloodshed was not occurring on my territory. Why should I be bothered? Only fools like yourself would go out of their way to intervene,” Sesshomaru stated coldly in response, meeting eyes with Rin. She looked troubled at his words. For a split second, the mighty youkai lord felt himself hastening to review the sentences in his mind once more, wondering what he had said to make such a painful look pool in her eyes. It came to him within a moment.
I suppose I did intervene when it came to Rin.
“Keh,” Inuyasha spat under his breath, crossing his arms across his chest. “Do whatever you want. I’m a little annoyed that you don’t think we can’t handle something so basic as a band of raiders.”
An unexpected voice shot into the discourse. “I’ll help train Rin.”
Sesshomaru, along with all of the other heads in the room, turned towards the younger of the siblings as he stood up. Kohaku. Sesshomaru arched an eyebrow. “You?” He shook his head, nearly chuckling. “No, that will not be necessary.”
“I actually think that’s a wonderful idea!” Rin exclaimed, and Sesshomaru’s eyes, if one was watching carefully, nearly widened. What was this madness? “I can learn from two of the best fighters I know… You, Lord Sesshomaru, and Kohaku. He’s become even stronger since you last saw him. He even fought off a bear youkai all by himself a few moons ago…” The teenage girl prattled, the saddened expression across her face just moments ago wiped away with expectation.
“I’m right here, you know.” Inuyasha griped, receiving a stern look of exasperation from Kagome at the thought of him being offended by Rin’s comment about battle prowess of all things.
Before the taiyoukai could even get a word in, the monk interjected.
“I don’t think that would be completely unwise, Lord Sesshomaru. She’d be exposed to a more diverse array of weapons, fighting styles, and techniques… She would even be able to spar with someone roughly her age and size.”
Sesshomaru didn’t like this feeling. Somewhere under the robes covering his arms, his knuckles flexed. Gods, if I could strangle the monk right now, I would, he thought to himself. When it came to the size of a sparring partner, though, the monk did have a point. It was important for those training to face practice foes that were large and small, a true emulation of the battlefield.
It seemed like the world stopped turning as all eyes looked to him for his decision. He looked once more at Rin, succumbing to the realization that if allowing the slayer boy to participate in her training made her more enthusiastic to learn crucial life-saving skills…
“Fine.” Sesshomaru rumbled, looking at the pair. “We begin tomorrow in the nearby meadow at dawn. Don’t be late.”
----
As night fell, Sesshomaru leaned against the thick willow tree outside of the hut owned by the old miko, looking up at the moon above him. He needed time to think about how best to introduce Rin to this world of weapons and war and fighting, and the summer night’s breeze was perfect weather for doing so. The dog demon certainly never thought that going to such great lengths to shield her from these subjects would potentially handicap her one day in the future. A sudden ache, deep inside, flashed across his chest when he thought about the tiny Rin he had found ravaged by the wolves or, in another universe, her being a small child and sloppily waving a sword around against an adversary. He didn’t care for either image— the murdered child or the child soldier.
Inside, he felt… torn? Yes, that was the right word, he supposed. As her protector, daresay her father-figure, there was nothing more Sesshomaru felt inclined to do than to be there, ready and waiting, to exterminate any possible threat that his Rin could encounter. He knew he could handle it. Despite the younger miko’s – oh, he was really acknowledging it, now – teasing voice in his mind, he knew he was not geriatric enough to be unable to protect her. Sesshomaru knew it would be no problem… when he was near. But what if one day he wasn’t so close by?
She was getting older, growing into her own. Rin was bound to one day push against the boundaries he’d set and run off into mischief, no? What if she found herself alone in the woods picking herbs… Or traveling to a nearby village… Any she was attacked by someone? Or if the raiders came on a day where the usual protector group – his half-brother, the miko, the monk, and the slayer – were out? He couldn’t possibly hover over her all her life. The scenarios flashed in his mind, one after another. These were dangerous times. She was his ward. It was his duty to make sure she was protected in any possible scenario.
More than anything, as much as it conflicted him to admit it, he didn’t want her to entirely rely on any single male – including himself – for protection. Sesshomaru knew that he needed to equip her with at least some degree of fighting skills. It was for her own good, just like encouraging her to live in the human village was. He’d made wise decisions as her protector before, no? Surely this recent decision would be beneficial too.
The scent of the miko – the younger, thankfully, not the older – suddenly wafted its way to his sensitive nose. Looking towards his left, he watched Kagome walk towards him, a basket of herbs perched upon her hip.
“Good evening, miko,” He began, curious at himself why the words came so freely from his lips. Kagome smiled, waving her hand as she responded, “I hope I’m not interrupting. You seem lost in thought. Want to talk?”
“Hn.” Sesshomaru didn’t know about that. Did she not know he was not one to discuss such private matters so freely?
“Alright,” She continued, flipping a lock of black hair behind her shoulder, “I’ll do the talking then. You seemed pretty tense in there earlier… So, I wanted to check on you. Offer some reflections, too, if you’ll take them.”
Reflections? The dog demon’s ears nearly perked up at this. Yet he stayed silent.
“I have a feeling your sudden concern for Rin’s safety isn’t because you don’t trust us to take care of her. You just… want her to be able to rely on herself more. For her own protection. Am I thinking in the right direction?” The priestess prodded, arching an eyebrow at him. He glanced at her, not yet wanting to respond.
“If it is that, then I applaud you. You’re doing what any parent should do: help their child be more self-sufficient and give them the skills they’ll need for life instead of coddling her. I can imagine it’s a little scary, though.”
“It is not scary. I fear nothing.” Sesshomaru countered, crossing his arms and staring straight ahead. Kagome joined his gaze towards mountains across what must be countless kilometers of meadows.
“Uncomfortable, then,” Kagome corrected. Sesshomaru paused.
“Perhaps.”
“I was in a similar situation with Shippo not too long ago… When we were battling Naraku, even the idea of leaving him on his own while we fought was agonizing. He wasn’t very good at fighting or even that skilled in trickery back then. I was always worried that if I or someone else weren’t right there with him, he’d be hurt somehow.”
At the feeling of a warm hand reassuringly resting on his upper arm, Sesshomaru looked down at the woman beside him in surprise. First hugs. Now this? Touching him? These humans… He admonished himself for becoming too informal with them. Though, he did not feel any urgent pressure to remove her hand.
“You’re doing the right thing. That’s all I want to say.” Sesshomaru listened intently, nodding his head to acknowledge her words. Though he didn’t give a verbal response, Kagome somehow understood that he appreciated the sentiment. Suddenly, the miko blurted out a rather unrefined, yet utterly authentic, laugh. His eyebrow arched.
“What, miko?”
“Kagome,” she insisted, brushing a tear away from her eye as began to laugh harder. He stared at her incredulously. “Call me Kagome. But on the real note—I’m laughing because I just realized you were suckered into letting Kohaku train with you both. That should be entertaining… He… He must be terrified!”
Sesshomaru pursed his lips. Why would the boy be? He’d traveled and fought with Sesshomaru before. It’s not like he was going to hurt the young boy.
“Now, why is that?”
Kagome looked up at him head on, eyes gleaming under the starry night.
“Because… It’s so obvious that they are in the thralls of puppy love!”
Sesshomaru stared at her with a blank expression.
Puppy… what?

[*All characters belong to the great Rumiko Takahashi! Please enjoy some KohRin. I’ve been obsessed with this ship lately as an act of rebellion against what we were given in HnY… But I’m also a sucker for some sesskag, so there might be some sprinkling of it in here, too. I love the idea of Sesshomaru (like any other dad) struggling to come to terms with his daughter entering a new phase of life and his place in it! He’s treading new waters. I’m not for sure how long this will end up being… Nonetheless, please enjoy!]

I would love to see Sota and Sesshomaru interact. I can see Sota being terrified of him and standing completely still but Sesshomaru just gives him a respectful nod as his way of thanking him for taking good care of Towa for all those years.

Did a progress redraw of an old, unfinished drawing based on this one shot I wrote like 2 years ago about a post canon world where Sesshomaru did not get his arm back when he earned Bakusaiga.
I love doing progress redraws.

One Night (21)
The amusement park is packed, but Shippo appears to be doing okay with the noise. Granted, she got him some earplugs and Koushi some headphones. Kagome pulls the small blanket until it is up to Koushi's chest. He looks out of the stroller window. She has his baby carrier just in case he wants a better view of everything going on. Koushi is pretty inquisitive.
"Sensei!" the students yell.
Kagome stops and looks over her shoulder. Why are their faces so red? Did something happen?
"My bad," Satoru sighs, removing his hand.
Oh.
Satoru is always touching her. Always squeezing her ass or resting his hand on her lower back. Satoru huffs and then places his hand on her lower back.
She ducks her head and smiles. Her insides are gooey like a cinnamon roll. Being with Satoru is a little like that. Warm. Soft. And when she takes him into her mouth, he tastes—Kagome gives herself a mental shake. Not the place.
"I want to ride on that!" Shippo says from his place on Satoru's shoulders. Kagome follows where Shippo is pointing and then shakes her head. "Papa! Let's go!"
"Nope, you gotta stick to the ride for kids." Not that Shippo would be hurt or affected by the larger rides, but he is supposed to be six, and six-year-olds do not ride the biggest roller coaster in the park. Or maybe they do. Doesn't matter, Shippo is small and wouldn't pass the height requirement.
"But..."
"Sorry, bud. We'll head to the kid's section. There are a lot of games you can play." Satoru looks over his shoulder. "You guys are free to do your own thing, and we can meet up for dinner. Unless you want to ride the smaller rides."
"We'll meet up," Yaga says, rubbing the back of his head. Next to him, Panda's large dark brown eyes have yet to blink. He is as tall as Yaga in the human form, Shippo gave him. His hair is black with white streaks.
"Megumi," Shippo coos.
"No."
"Big brother," Shippo sing songs. "You know you want to stay with the family."
Kagome sighs. "Shippo, Megumi wants to hang out with his friends. Come on, or you won't have time for any of the rides." She flashes a smile at Megumi, who looks so relieved. The students follow them for a bit and then break off into their own groups. Once it is just them, Satoru stops.
"Are you going to be okay?"
Why wouldn't she be okay? Kagome tilts her head. "Yeah?"
"You can't get on any of the rides, and I'll need to go with Shippo." Even with the shades on, she can tell he is looking at her stomach.
She exhales. "I haven't taken a test." Not that any test would be more accurate than Sesshomaru, but still, it does not feel real. After trying for so long, getting pregnant so easily is hard for her to wrap her mind around.
"I believe in Sesshomaru."
"You believe in Sesshomaru," she chortles. "You barely know him."
"Seemed like an okay guy," Satoru says with a smile.
"He lives up to the whole killing perfection name," Shippo quips.
"I'm still alive," Kagome points out.
"What?" Satoru snatches his shades off and hangs them from his hoodie. "What do you mean by that?"
Whoops. She needs to change the subject. Last thing she needs is for Satoru to pick a fight with Sesshomaru the next time they go back to visit. She did promise to get some winter clothing for Sango's family. Kagome flutters her eyelashes and strokes his arm. "My mom and Syouma want to take the boys shopping over the weekend."
"... This weekend?" Satoru bites his lip. "We'll be in the house by then. Like the whole day?"
"A couple of hours." She mirrors him, biting her lip as well while heat builds in her gut. Satoru isn't wearing anything crazy, but for some reason, the black hoodie and jeans are driving her crazy.
"Papa! I want to go on a ride." Shippo huffs.
"Sorry, sorry." Satoru laughs. "Let's get moving. Now you don't have to ride every single one. We can always come back. Plus, I don't like leaving your mom alone for long. There's always something lurking around the corner." Satoru glances over to the left. Kagome frowns.
"I can put a barrier up while we wait if it'll make you feel better." In the stroller, she's got a shikigami disguised as a toy in case she needs any extra support, though she doubts it.
Satoru nods, but he's still looking to the left. "Yeah, you should do that."
"Are we going after them?" Shippo asks, taking his shades off.
"Nah, they haven't tried anything." Satoru flashes her a smile as he hands Kagome his and Shippo's shades for safe keeping. "I think there are some rides we can all get on, like a tour or something." He rubs her back and when he pulls away so he and Shippo can get in line, Kagome's heart pangs. Oh dear, she is falling for him.
Koushi looks up at her and stretches his arms out.
"Oh, did you want to watch Daddy and Shippo?" Kagome coos as she takes Koushi out of the stroller. She balances Koushi with one arm and pulls out her phone to record. "You see Daddy?" She holds the phone up. Koushi laughs and then fusses. "Oh no, buddy. You stay right here. Don't even think about it." Kagome squints her eyes at Koushi and tries to look stern, but he just giggles and Kagome's stern demeanor cracks faster than an egg. "I'm serious. You stay right here with me, or you'll give mommy and daddy a scare."
Koushi yawns.
Figures.
He threw a fit earlier when Shippo declared he was going with Satoru instead of shopping with her. Kagome presses her lips into a thin line. At this rate, Satoru will have to come with if she wants the boys to do anything. She lowers her phone and stops recording right as Satoru and Shippo head over to them.
"I want to go on another one!" Shippo says, jumping up and down. "And I want to win some prizes, too." He stops and then points a finger at a game. "I gotta get something for my brother and Mama."
"Well, let's go win some prizes, yeah!" Satoru fist pumps the air. Shippo mimics him. Koushi clenches his fist and Kagome bites down on her tongue to stop from laughing. They end up winning more prizes than what can fit in the bottom of Koushi's stroller. "What is Shippo doing?" Satoru asks.
Kagome hums. "He's always been partial to human girls," she admits. With an arm full of prizes, Shippo talks animatedly with some young girl with brown hair. He gives her an oversized stuffed bear and laughs at something she says. Shippo hands over another prize.
"... He's far too young for that," Satoru exclaims. "Oi! Shippo, come on. We gotta meet the others for dinner, save some for them!" Satoru raises a brow. "What's up?"
"Nothing," she says, turning her head away. "Did you want to take a bath with me when—"
"Yes. Fu—mmm yes."
"Papa, seriously?" Shippo rolls his eyes. "I left one gift for Megumi. Can I have cake for dinner?" Shippo waves goodbye to the brown-haired girl. Her parents shake their heads and usher her away. "Please?" Shippo widens his eyes.
Kagome gives Shippo an Are you serious right now expression and turns the stroller around. "No one is having cake before dinner." She looks at Satoru, who throws his hands up in front of him. Uh-huh, Satoru was planning on getting sweets first, for sure.
"Shippo and I are gonna step out for a bit once we meet up with the others."
"Everything good?"
"It will be."
Got it. He's going to put some fear in whoever is on his radar. When they get to the restaurant, Satoru kisses the top of Kagome's head and then Koushi's.
"Where is Gojo-sensei going?" Yuji asks, pulling out a seat across from her.
"Oh, there's someone being weird, so I think he's gonna talk to them or kill them." She shrugs one shoulder while she cradles Koushi in her arms and looks over the menu. "He and Shippo will be back soon. Shippo will be upset if he misses the show." Kagome motions to the stage on the right. The tickets were pricey, but Satoru insisted they get front-row seating to the stage.
Yuji scratches his head.
Was it something she said? Kagome frowns. Why is everyone looking at her like that? Aren't they sorcerers like Satoru? She does not get what the big deal is.
"What's wrong?"
"You're so nonchalant about it," Nobara says.
"Oh... well, we've already had to deal with one assassin since the news of Koushi spread." She glances back at the menu. Satoru will probably want that. If they aren't back in time, she'll just order for them. Shippo will want everything. "Chances are they'll back down, though."
"We should do something for sensei," Yuta says after a moment. "He took care of everyone's missions so we can enjoy this night out." The table grumbles, but the students eventually agree to put something together. Only Megumi watches Kagome, so she flashes him a small smile.
Satoru did not take on everyone's missions, but Kagome is not going to correct the student's line of thinking, nor is she going to bring attention to how many shikigami she can make.
"Uh... Kagome-san?" Yuji starts. "What does sensei like?"
Kagome stares blankly. What does Satoru like? "He likes sweets, and he loves when the boys show off...is there anything you guys have been working on that you could show him?"
"My energy can be sloppy," Yuta says, leaning forward. "But I've been working on it."
"Put something together like the exchange event," Yaga says after a moment. "It would be good for everyone."
"Is everyone participating, minus Gojo-sensei?"
Yaga frowns. "Naturally, Satoru should not partake. It will be a celebration of sorts."
Kagome looks down at Koushi and smiles. She isn't quite sure what the others are planning on, but it sounds like some kind of event for Satoru to watch.
"Could Shippo participate?" Yuta asks. "Or would that be too much for him? He is young, but he's so strong." Yuta motions to Panda, who looks delighted to be out and about with everyone in his human disguise.
"That will have to be up to Satoru since he has a better judgment of what Shippo can handle," Kagome admits. It doesn't sound any different from the things Shippo did at the kitsune school and Shippo insists on going on missions with Satoru. Kagome shifts Koushi. He wraps his hand around her finger.
Satoru is a good father.
"Yo! Sorry, took longer than I thought it would." Satoru pulls out a chair to the right of Kagome for Shippo and then sits down next to her on the left. "Did we already order?"
"Gojo-sensei?" Yuji asks, lowering his voice. "Did you... did you kill someone?"
Shippo snickers.
Yuji rears back. "Shippo? Did you?"
"I'm just a kid," Shippo replies, widening his eyes and blinking them. "I would never. Why, I can't believe you would accuse me of such things." He sniffs.
"What? No! I wasn't—"
"Shippo, enough," Kagome interrupts. "I was going to order this for you if you weren't back in time." Kagome points to the menu.
"Looks good to me," Satoru replies, pulling out his phone. "I'll just go with that then." He slides his phone back into his pocket right as Kagome's vibrates.
Did he text her?
Satoru: I'm going to stick my tongue in your ass tonight ;)
Her face burns. She wants to look at him so badly, but she doesn't trust herself to not melt into a pile of goo at the table. Who says that? Her heart is beating so loud, she's just happy neither Shippo nor Panda have called her out on it. Satoru squeezes her thigh. She bites back the whimper, shocked by her reaction.
It is only after the server comes around to get their orders and returns with their meals that Megumi addresses Shippo. He runs a hand over his hair. "So, just curious, what did you do?"
Shippo glances away from the stage, a live show about a girl raised by lions and how she falls in love with the boy raised by hyenas, and cups his hand around his mouth. "He's alive. Papa let me practice my domain expansion."
The table goes still and then all eyes turn to Satoru, who continues to eat with one hand. His other hand is still firmly attached to her thigh.
"Satoru," Yaga says lowly, keeping his voice down. Kagome swears she is hearing a hint of fear in Yaga's voice.
"What? I was just helping to tire him out some before we leave here. No biggie." Satoru squeezes her thigh and then holds out his hands for Koushi. "Shhh, watch the show." He rests his arm across the back of her chair and brushes the tips of his fingers across her arm.
I'm going to stick my tongue in your ass tonight.
Kagome closes her eyes and exhales. So much for paying attention to the show.
***
A/N: The students are now regretting their decision to include Shippo in their Gojo-sensei appreciation event. Megumi hasn't shared his new shikigami with the others, so he's the only one who suspected Kagome may have had something to do with Satoru being able to take on their workload.
"Will Shippo get an attendant too?" - Right now Ito, is like the attendant/assistant for the whole family.
"Shippo probably needs more nutrition to keep up the illusion all day" - Yep, he's eating a lot more because he's expending more energy. He's on his way to gaining another tail.
Take care! Wishing a wonderful Sunday and a wonderful week. Drink plenty of water and get lots or rest!
Side story, I was talking to my grandma yesterday and she was telling me how happy she was to have little titties instead of many titties and I stared at the phone wondering how we got to such a conversation.

There have been discussions, and it has been decided that Miroku will actually be the mediator against Irene running away, while Inuyasha encourages it. So Irene doesn't run away from the village at first, but with each passing month and Sesshomaru not showing only makes her anxiety worse, so she ultimately leaves for the wolf demon tribe.
It's a very angsty arc.
Inuyasha is convinced Sesshomaru abandoned Irene, Miroku and Sango think otherwise, and Irene is anxious. Said anxiety spirals into depression. All the while Sesshomaru is out dealing with rioting demons after being away from his (originally his father's) lands for so long.
Sesshomaru and Irene have a very long and very painful conversation afterwards about how he needs to communicate more, because yes while she can read him better than most that doesn't mean she knows everything, and if he had just told he'd be gone for half a year quelling issues in his lands, after having been traveling for so long, none of this would have happened. Things would not have gotten so messy. She knows he's a lord, yes, but he's never given any indication that he actually has any lordly duties. So she could not have known.
She's clever, yes, but still needs things pointed out to her. She didn't even know they were married, because she was never informed of it.
Sesshomaru tries to apologize without actually apologizing, but it doesn't work, so he actually has to swallow his pride and properly say he's sorry. So Irene forgives him, but she will not forget. He ends up staying with her for a while to help with her depression and their newborn, because as she's a human things will not work like they worked between Sesshomaru's parents. She actually needs him here with her.
Anyways. Baby Sora is spoiled by her uncle because of his guilt over everything and because he was just worried for her during the whole thing and saw how hard it was on Irene without Sesshomaru around. (Irene and Inuyasha both live on the edge of the village. They're neighbors.) When Kagome comes back, one-year-old Sora practically waddles/runs over to Uncle Inu to greet them. It's so cute.
Uncle Inu is her favorite to hold her, but Papa Sess is the most comfortable to sleep on. Very safe and warm. Sometimes Irene and Sora will fall asleep and wake up to see that Sesshomaru is watching over them, having arrived while they were sleeping.

Hisui is barely older than Setsuna, so he was around 3-4 years old when she was born. That's just further proves Rin wasn't 18 as Jaken said, but somewhere 14-15. Take that S*rinners, this is so much for Sesshomaru waiting for Rin to grow up, he just moved on her when he had the f-ing chance.

Also that hug was totally undeserved because Shitmaru and whatever is that deity supposed to be knew Hisui was the one who would die instead of Kohaku; they just needed the bait.

Yashahime - Takashi Shiina Blog Translation - Sunday S February 2022 [Part 2]
12/27/2021
Tumblr media
The first step in the princesses' journey is the village of the exterminators. The spotlight is on the grown up Kohaku-kun, and we look back at the story of “Inuyasha” from his point of view.
This comicalization starts with an entrance like "me and the reader visit the world of 'Inuyasha' with Towa-chan", and reconstructs the anime as "a story that explains the character of Sesshomaru from the perspective of a new set of characters". Therefore, “the testimonies from different perspectives of those who were there in ‘Inuyasha’” are an explanation that serves as a prequel and, at the same time, a guidepost. The past that boss Kohaku has been burdened with is also fully disclosed in the manga, deepening the interest in the complex shades of the father Lord Sesshomaru.
I interpreted Kohaku-kun as “another Sota-kun who lives in a harsh world”, so in the comic version Sota papa is an over-fond father and boss Kohaku also pampers the three princesses (laugh). I wanted to depict him as a grown up praying in front of the graves of his father and companions, whom he killed while he was manipulated by Naraku, and the fact that he hasn’t completely escaped from his past, but that would make the story darker so I modified it.
In the original Inuyasha version, Kirara-chan is a child who doesn't have speech balloons or anything like that, but in the anime version she is quite vocal, and it feels like she talks a lot when she is imported back into the manga. After wondering what to do (about this) in the comicalization, I interpreted it as “from the human Kagome’s point of view, she’s silent, but from the perspective of the princesses Kirara is relatively talkative”. While I was at it, I tried to make her more cat-like, but it turned out that if I made her too much like a cat, she would become a different person (or beast?), like "she's long when you pick her up" or “she presses your face with her paw pads and sticks to you if you are too sticky". For the time being, I drew it like this (laugh).
I couldn't have a very large group of people riding on Kirara-chan, so a horse was provided for the boss (1) for the later development. When I drew it, I was able to capture the dignity and authority of him as an adult, so I think it was the right choice. By the way, this is just my personal, unofficial backstory, but I think the name of his beloved horse might have been “Kagura”.
Kagura’s final scene is one of the most outstanding, famous scenes of the series, so I really wanted to pick it up, but the dilemma was that if I went too far into it, the balance of the story would swing too much in that direction because it is so impressive. Therefore, after consulting with Takahashi sensei, I decided to limit it to a small cut from the perspective of Kohaku-kun, who had rushed (to her side) and was watching her. In other words, I really wanted to show how she lived her short life to the fullest, even if it was just a glimpse. Her way of life overlaps with characters who appear later.
The centerpiece of the new chapter is the participation of older brother Kouga, who only appears in the anime original work (2). If the anime word line is extended, Ayame-chan should also be there, but due to page reasons she couldn’t appear. It may be that she is in charge of protecting the pack and house-sitting.
As I wrote before, Master Yawaragi has been rejuvenated while slightly changing her standing position. This time she has no (spoken) lines, but in the next chapter she will be speaking in the Kansai dialect, so please look forward to it (laugh).
The first volume of the manga, which contains chapters up to last month, will be released around the 18th of January (3). The first print run has been reduced to a small number, so it will probably run out of stock… That’s what I hope… No, running out of stock means that there will be people who want it but can't get it so it’s not something good. It would be nice to say to Shogakukan “Hey!! You should have printed some more!! Hurry up with the second edition!!” with a smug look on my face. Well, there is also a digital edition, so in case you can’t buy in a shop please consider that option in addition to pre ordering and ordering it. Buy it.

So I have a different requests it a groups one
He so cam I request a yandere JTTW x toddler sesshormu half Demon daughter reader
Where the whole group are like uncles but Shadow peach is the mom and dad to the reader
The reader it's just like her uncle and nausea as a demon she has dog ears but has her papa powers but also has a little bit of spiritual powers like her mom could kagome ( I shipped them so hard don't blame me)
The reader fell into the the middle of a fight
Between Shadowpeach and other demon's
And everon just see a cute little puppy half Demon reader and is like baby must be protected. And they find out that she also has a jewel like her mama in side her.
But honestly they don't care about the jewel they care about the reader. ( Also the jewel is like stuck to her heart so it cannot be removed like a kagome unless one the boys knows about surgery)
I don’t ship kagome x sesshomaru but I hope I can do a good job on this anyway.
Warnings: noob author, female reader, yandere charcters, and others.
Characters: Tripitaka, sandy, pigsy, sun, and macaque.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The group plus macaque; who decided to join his mate after finding out that sun didn’t betray him like he originally thought,was against another demon that wanted to get tripitaka’s powers when they met you, a cute young half demon dog pup that randomly appear in front of the group and demon.
Unlike the group the demon didn’t care if you lived or died so they attacked not worrying if they hit you or not which didn’t sit well with the group and macaque quickly went in to save you while sun went after the demon.
Tripitaka shockingly didn’t punish sun but that’s because he was distracted with you and making sure you weren’t hurt before you came between the fight, macaque also made sure you’re alright and reassured that you’re safe now.
Sun noticed a faint pink glow around you with more of that glow focused to your heart but decided to let it go with you being blessed by a god or something in exchange to smother you with affection with how cute you are plus his mate sewed to already treat you like his cub now an so should he as well as he always wanted a family with macaque besides his subjects.
Pigsy is the uncle that needs to be supervised when around you as he has habits that shouldn’t be taught to you at al but he still cares and make sure you’re safe, because you’re both adorable and cause his life depends on as it’s either macaque or sun that will end his life he he gets you even a hair or paper cut on your body then he’s a roasted pig personally cooked by the demon monkey’s.
Now sandy is both uncle and god father as he’s the most responsible and mature of the group besides macaque so the two know he won’t let you get hurt, he will protect you, and raised you if anything happens too them which won’t happen for a long time.
Tripitaka is the older brother that you know to always gets kidnapped by demons until the other demons noticed the glow you seem to have that is only seen by strong demons which then is where both of you gets kidnapped, here’s a twist though since you’re now his little sister he will do things that’s against Buddhism just to protect you even try to practice martial arts just to be least inconveniencing the others and you but also to protect you from all the other threats that may come in the future.
(A/n: groped you like it!! I couldn’t do more than 7 paragraphs for this one as i didn’t know what else to put so hope you’re ok with that! Anyway hope ya’ll have a wonderful day/evening/night!! Oh! Also after i get done with the last of my draft (which is a lmk request) I’ll be putting the lmk masterlist on hold so please no more until i get out of my burned out state, you can still request for x lmk!reader (y’all can still request for jttw x reader, don’t worry) just use a different fandom if you want a crossover so please be mindful that I’m getting burned out of lmk at the moment, I’ll be sure to let y’all know when y’all can request for lmk again when I recover from this lmk burn out.)
Im alive, lol. Inuyasha AU for Lucemond just because. Ok, I’m in way to many fandoms for my own sake, but meh. For the ones who don’t know, Inuyasha its a japanese anime, the simple plot, they are in feudal japan, and the’re are demons or youkai, in the original anime the male lead (Inuyasha) its a half dog demon or hanyo, his mother its a human and his dad its a famous demon (Or Inuyokai/Dog demon), in this case Lucerys its Inuyasha, Rhaenyra its his youkai mom and Ser Harwin its his human dad. Inuyasha also has a half brother how’s a youkai, a very proud and asshole dude, but also super handsome, lol, at some point in the story Inuyasha cuts his arm with his sword, and it doesnt grow back (for the ones who know lets leave it at that) so if Luke takes Aemond eye here of course its not coming back, canon you’all.  Inuyasha its like a very nostalgic anime from my childhood, I love it. I dont really ship Inuyasha with his brother, but Sesshomaru its to much like Aemond some times for me to ignore it, obssesed with his pure blood, his lineage and with power, also with pantene long white hair, do I need more? He also hates hanyo to the bone, specially his half brother, how can I not put my fated feud here? Lol. I like to think that the Targs are this very powerful and old Dragon Youkai family, Rhaenyra being well, Rhaenyra, doesn’t give a shit and goes and falls in love with Human Harwin and has all of her 3 hanyo children and has the time of her live with them until Harwin dies, because well, he’s a human and humans die, specially in feudal japan times lol. You can’t really hide being a hanyo because other youkais and hanyos can smell it, so no Laenor papa sadly, but hey, they are happy, the Targs, specially Aemond, can bitch about their pure blood all they want. Because anime magic and so on, Youkai and Hanyo don’t age like humans and they also have a bunch of other cool things, like weird magical swords and powers. Luke its not that good with swords so he uses a bow and arrows (Inspiration from Ñuhon its that you?), Aemond of course has a sword. Luke should have something more dragon like to show he’s a half dragon hanyo, but I really wanted to give him Inuyasha cute little dog ears for this drawing, we can also think they’re doing cosplay hahahahahhaa.  Fated feud forevah, Aemond its a snobby Oh no my pure youkai blood you damn hanyo ruin everything bla bla bla, and Lucerys always end’s up figthing with him for it, thats how you end up lossing eyes you’all. That’s also a very good way of ending obssesed with your hanyo nephew, hehe.
Papa Sesshomaru
Danny had no idea how he landed in the feudal era of Japan, but he liked it. He had no idea how he meet that Demon Lord and his pack, but they have accepted him as Halfa. Not many person who he had meet did that. But thanks to Rin he was able to join them in their travels. Sesshomaru had no idea why he suddenly ended with raising 2 children. But he just did it, after all a Perfect Lord is not only a Killing Machine but takes care of his people too. While on travel, they took a portal to Danny's home after a Attack from Naraku. Back in Amity Park While in Amity Park danny as phantom showed them all around to show them his world, the people of amity park looked interested and before Danny knew it there were Theories. The biggest and most famous one is he is Phantom's Dad. Cheerleader as they watched the hero walk with the group around and him showing full of joy all:" Phantom is so Cute and sexy." A older girl Looked at the younger Girl:" I would rather look at Phantom's Dad who is alive too, He is a DILF and a Eye Candy." Many older woman and girl, loved little Rin and her father was so good looking. A Eye candy. Sesshomaru the DILF and Papa.
It was a comedic time for them but a good break from all the attacks, Rin loved it.
Pass The Time
Written for week 2 of @kagomes-hanakotobamatsuri
Utilized prompts: character in peril
Summary: waiting is hard, especially when you’re waiting to reunite with you favorite person. Good thing Kagome knows lots of ways to pass the time.
——————————————————————————————————
Rin tried to keep herself very busy.
There was a garden to weed for Lady Kaede, herbs to crush and grind, dishes and laundry to wash, lots and lots of nice kids to play with, and when he was around, Shippo had a prank to pull and would often ask for her help.
It helped make it seem like the days weren’t going by very very slowly as she counted them all between every one of Lord Sesshomaru’s visits.
‘It was supposed to be today,’ she thought, watching the sky for any flickering hint of his arrival, thoroughly distracted from the chore she was supposed to be doing.
But she had so many wonderful things to show him, a baby garment she was sewing for Sango’s growing baby, the writing she’d been working on with Miroku when he had the free time, how high she could jump thanks to Inuyasha teaching her some new techniques, and all the flower crowns she made just this morning with the new spring blooms.
She knew he was busy, and that he tried his best to make time for her despite how many of his own duties he had to fulfill, but she missed him.
She slumped back into the grass with a sigh, watching the clouds float by, each one frothy as the base of a waterfall, but instead of soothing her all she could focus on was how itchy the grass felt on her skin.
She sighed again, trailing off in a growl of frustration, pinching her eyes closed and resigning herself to a nap to try and pass some of the time when a shadow fell over her face.
She opened her she’s too find Kagome leaning over her with a smile.
“Would you like to help me wash these dishes so I can make lunch?”
“It’s only lunch time?!”
“Something wrong with lunch time?”
Rin rolled over and sat up, and Kagome kneeled down to meet her eyes.
“I’ve been waiting all day for Lord Sesshomaru to come. He’s supposed to visit today, and I have so much to tell him! But time is taking forever.”
“Then you definitely need to come wash dishes with me. You can rehearse what you want to say, that way you get it all out quick and efficient and don’t miss anything.”
With new pep in her step, Rin hopped up and happily followed Kagome to the river, chattering on as they slowly washed and then dried one dish at a time, answering every idle question Kagome had about what she’d learned.
Growling stomachs went ignore as time wiled away, and with a sly smile, Kagome interrupted Rin’s latest spiel about the best flowers to use for the best flowers crowns, and the best technique to tie them.
“Rin honey, I think someone is looking for you.”
Following the direction of Kagome’s pointing finger, Rin’s eyes lit up to see the crisp white silk of Sesshomaru’s clothing shining in the afternoon sun.
“Lord Sesshomaru!”
How To Tame A Sorcerer: Side Stories (17)
Main Story
Side Stories
"Shippo, what are you doing up?" Satoru stretches his arms over his head. He slid on a basic white top and some sweatpants after sliding out of bed. No need to get dressed up to deal with a couple of weaklings. Hopefully, Kagome stays asleep until he gets back.
"What are you doing up?" Shippo shoots back, crossing his arms as he leans against the wall. "Mama sleeping?"
Satoru frowns. "Yes, Kagome is sleeping." Satoru cracks his neck and gives Shippo a look. Why is he here? "What is it?"
Shippo inspects his claws. "You're up to something and I want in."
Satoru rolls his eyes. "I'm just heading out to take care of the higher-ups."
"Okay. I want to kill too."
Satoru opens his mouth and then closes it. "You all should be sleeping," he says, addressing his students.
"We're coming too," Yuta says.
Satoru waves them away. "No. You all are going back to bed. You don't need to see this." He glances at Shippo from the corner of his eye. Satoru doesn't need Shippo's help to handle the higher-ups, but he can't force him to stand down either. Shippo isn't his student, and he isn't a child either. "I would prefer if you didn't come either," he admits. "You don't need to see that side of me." And yet, he doesn't want Shippo to see this.
Shippo scoffs. "I'm a demon. Watched my dad get killed in front of me and the bastards wore his pelt." Shippo shrugs. "And I guess now I'm kinda seeing Souten. Maybe. Haven't decided."
"…Who?" Is that the name Kagome mentioned the other day?
"Souten? She's the sister of the brothers that killed my dad." Shippo smirks. "She challenged me once, wanting to avenge her brothers, and the rest is history."
"You're insane," Yuta comments. "What if she tries to kill you in your sleep?"
"That's half of the appeal. Thought you liked that stuff since you fuck curses."
Yuta sighs and slaps his face with his hand. "I can't with you." Maki pats Yuta's back awkwardly and glares at Shippo, who flashes a fang.
Satoru turns and walks away. He doesn't have time for this. He needs to take care of the higher-ups now and then he can crawl back into bed with Kagome. Besides, he's put it off for two days now already. That's two days too long. Yeah, he needed some time to get reoriented back in his world, but he's semi-back to normal now, and there are things he needs to handle. He stops and looks over his shoulder. "Already told you guys to go."
"We're coming with you."
"Salmon."
"I can do something," Panda squeaks, shaking a small fist in the air.
"And I," Shippo says, swaggering over. "Have elected myself as the new head."
"Sesshomaru-sama said no," Yuta says. "He said it was up to Gojo-sensei, with the exception of you not being anywhere near in charge."
Shippo gasps. "Slander I tell you. Papa don't listen. I'm ready."
Satoru blinks slowly. "I'll talk it over with your mother." Since when does Shippo want to run things? Should he be allowed to run things?
Shippo throws his hands in the air. "So that's a no." He blows out a breath. "I'm still coming with. Nothing like some bonding time."
Satoru presses his lips together. Yes, Shippo has taken missions from him before, but at the same time, he's having a hard time reconciling this adult Shippo with the much younger Shippo he met in the prison realm. "Fine," he accedes. "But Kagome doesn't need to know."
If she wakes up and finds him not in bed with her, she might rip him a new one. Satoru chews on the inside of his cheek. He needs to get moving now, so Kagome doesn't worry. She doesn't need the added stress. He'll go in, kill them, and then climb into bed with Kagome after taking a quick shower. Easy peasy.
"Oh…she already knows I was planning on doing some spring killing, though."
Satoru blinks again and spikes a hand through his hair. His stomach tightens. "Ah well, she can be bloodthirsty when she wants to be." He smiles. Maybe when things calm down and after the twins are born, she'll want to join him for some curse exorcising here and there.
"Gojo-sensei is weird," Panda says.
"Kagome-san is just as weird. She's head over heels for this man-child," Maki remarks.
"Sensei," Yuta says, "If it comes down to it, I'll have Rika eat fake Geto's body to get their cursed technique…. if it's okay with you, and switch to your body to finish Sukuna."
Satoru grimaces. "I don't plan on losing and I really don't care what happens to my body." He turns and looks at them fully. "But if it came down to it, that isn't something Kagome should see." What kind of plans did they come up with while he was gone? Hell, they don't even know where Sukuna is. Fucker is masking himself somehow. What he doesn't get is why.
"Time out," Shippo says. "The fuck?"
"Everyone is fine with Gojo-sensei shouldering the weight of jujutsu. I will step into that role if I have to. He shouldn't have to do it all."
"Yeah…I get that," Shippo says. "But gross?"
"Didn't you bite Naoya's junk off?" Maki questions.
"Meh." Shippo shrugs. "I'm not on board with this. Are we forgetting about Sesshomaru? Hell, did you forget about me? I don't give a rat's ass about jujutsu and whatever else humans like to scrabble about, but." He points a finger at Satoru. "That's family."
"I work better alone," Satoru says after a moment, though his heart feels a little lighter after Shippo's comments.
"Yeah? And how'd that work for you?"
Satoru squints at Shippo. "Fine."
Shippo nods. "You guys get some rest. We'll handle this. Yuta, Sesshomaru will probably want to train you bright and early."
Yuta groans.
"I'm coming," Panda squeaks.
"No way," Shippo remarks. "You don't wear pants."
Satoru stops and curls his lips back. "Shippo, what the hell does that have to do with anything?"
Shippo widens his eyes. "I'd rather not have Panda's booty juice on me. He'll need a ride down and no thank you."
"My what!"
Satoru's mouth pops open and all that comes out is a choked cough.
"You heard me," Shippo says, holding a hand to his chest. "Absolutely not."
"I do not get booty juice everywhere," Panda bites out.
"…Mustard leaf." Toge takes a step to the side, away from Panda.
"Oh, come on!" Panda tosses his hands up.
"It's kinda gross when you think about it," Maki remarks.
Panda gasps. "Yuta, surely not you, too!"
Yuta rubs the back of his neck. "I have seen you wear a scarf, but no pants."
"Gojo-sensei!"
Satoru snaps his mouth shut and turns his head away. Yeah, no. He is not commenting on booty juice. "Shippo, we need to go now."
"Yay! Father-son-killing-time!" Shippo frowns. "No, father-son spring-killing-bonding-time."
Satoru shakes his head. "You're not supposed to enjoy it."
"Who says?"
Satoru opens his mouth and then shrugs. "Guess no one." He waves a hand to the students and then grabs a hold of Shippo's shirt, before warping them away. "I want them to feel this," he says, cracking his neck.
Shippo smirks before changing his appearance. "I did some digging and emotional damage always hits harder than physical."
Satoru blinks. "Who are you supposed to be?"
"Ah, Ono's dead son. You know your uncle killed him."
"Ryu wasn't a curse user. He was just a dick," he adds the last part.
"Does it matter?"
Satoru presses his lips together. "No. I'm sure there are lots of things Ryu did in his life."
Shippo smooths out of the invisible wrinkles on his shirt. "He went after you. Happened before Ono became a higher-up. At least that's what his dying wife said."
"You killed his wife?"
"No, I let her see her darling son one last time."
Satoru sighs as he pushes open the door. "Question, so you are dating this Souten, then?"
Shippo balks right as the higher-ups rise from their places behind the screens. "No way, she's not my type."
Satoru gives Shippo a look of utter disbelief, but the fox demon skips into the room and goes straight for Ono, who turns sheet white at the sight of his dead son.
"Wait! Gojo, we can talk this—" The older man's body convulses as his limbs twist and twist until blood splatters on the floor.
Satoru turns his head to the side and pins the others with a glare. "Next."
A/N: Been laughing all day at 'booty juice' I'm so unserious, send help.
Hope this week has been kind to you. Someone should take my work computer away. I keep logging on at like 9 pm because one more email won't hurt when I should be sleep. I've been sharing some sneak peeks over on Tumblr. Saw a comment for Thousands Days about the guys all being stuck together and I decided to include the 'bathroom' scene in the next chapter. You can read the sneak peek if ya want to lol.
Still working on Wish I Could. That chapter will probably be pretty long at this rate.
Take care! Get plenty of rest (don't be like me lol). Drink lots of water and try to refill your well every day if you can.
