yesterday at the game shop someone asked me when I started 3D printing. I told them a couple years ago, it was really easy to get into, sometimes I make things for commission, etc etc

then this person, this child, looked me square in the face and said "do you think it's too late for me to start? I'm almost 17..."

A Locust, with my rethought out bases. I've been playing Helldivers lately and there are some really pretty pastel palette planets around and decided to emulate one of those

I still don't have a coherent color schemes for my mercs beyond mostly light neutrals with large color panels and decals, but I hate settling on these things, I always change my mind

WIP shots. The actual body feels very small, about the size of small CFB figures, but the wingspan is 52cm, easily the widest figure in my collection (only second to my 1 meter Safi).

They are by far the most colorful objects I have painted and I spent 2 whole weeks painting them. Thank god there is no pattern on the wings' back side 🙏. I still won't feel like touching brushes again for some time...

But got to say fluorescent paints are awesome once I have a big @$$ UV flashlight 🔦. Although I found out that there aren't many colors to choose from and I had to go creative to make the pink glow since the fluorescent-pink I bought glows orange instead.

Baby Pukei Pukei!

Printed off this adorable baby Pukei Pukei model the other day and just finished painting the lil guy up! He's actually going to be a present for my partner, so shush, no one tell her!

Lucky 13 is a completely FREE 3d print file available on Printables by Soozafone! If you have access to a 3d printer or can get someone ro print it for you, I 1000% recommend it!

Lucky has the same amount if not more articulation than most artist mannequins and is SO MUCH CHEAPER. While filament is expensive, I was able to print mine at my university’s print lab for 13$. 13!$!!!

This figure is comparable to the Armature 9 models, and in my opinion, BETTER just because of the customizability and free print use! Im currently working on making dragon wings for mine.

Lucky comes with the armature, skin, a stand, 8 different hand poses, and several accessories, but the community has HUNDREDS of remixes and new additions custom made for this little guy.

And the best part is, is that the creator, Soozafone, is ALREADY working on a version 2!! Check him out on reddit at r/Soozafone!

I literally cant recommend this figure enough, Im already planning on printing a few more because I love it so much.

I hope this gives all the other artists a fun little project, because I certainly had a blast putting mine together!
