Introduction to the new project you will be working on with Neil.
Task 1: Set up a document Set up a new Online PowerPoint document and title it “Progression Project - Full Name”. Please share this document with me.
Task 2: Download and read over the assignment brief. Make note of any important elements needed to complete the assignment project successfully. Outcomes, deadlines etc. Click here to download the assignment brief.
Task 3: You will need to investigate the different Jobs and Roles within the creative industry. Select 5 Jobs that interest you and answer the questions below. Please provide a link and a screengrab of the posting.

What is the job looking for in a potential employee? (skills you need)
What are the preferred qualifications for the position?
What is the role or responsibilities of the position?
What type of job is it? Part-time, full-time, permanent, fix-term, Freelance?
What is the pay? Hourly or per year? Could you give me the amount?
Are the job and role something that would interest you? Yes/No - Explain why.

Task 4: Once you have completed task 3, you must undertake a skills audit. A skills audit is where you will need to think about the skills you have and what skill sets, are required for the Job listing you have researched. Highlighting any areas for development and explain how you would do it.
Task 5: Once you have finished all the above tasks, you must now rank your selected jobs and their roles. Which job would be your first choice down to your fifth choice? Don’t forget to justify your decisions.

Today we will start to explore different roles within the creative industries as a basis for an interview with a professional you will be conducting.
