I did not include it in the original post but I wanted to mention that this takes place in AU where Dee Dee is actually present throughout Ego Trip. Everything is mostly the same but Mandark has not taken over the world and only just started leading the company Dexter works at.

Dexter is a well-known scientist because he created weapon technology for a massive Cold War. He had become so reliant on being employed after essentially being drafted (alongside Mandark) that he lost a lot of his independence. Which is why leaving the job that is clearly abusing him will be difficult as he craves approval from superiors. He still believes he is important despite the war being over and tossed away afterwards.

TLDR: Blah blah blah this is based on the Dexters Lab movie that takes place in the future but this time Dee Dee and Mandarks sister are here and Dexter is a war veteran who cant quit his job and yea.

Hello all 3 people in the Dexter fandom.

AU INFO:

This AU takes place in the main timeline after Dexter went to the future. He destroyed the neurotomic protocore But was unable to prevent Mandark from stealing his work (He knew it would happen But wasnt sure how he did it since in Ego Trip that was never revealed to him). Mandark subsequently took over the company and demoted Dexter down to a cubicle position again. In this world, Characters only have number names at the beginning of Mandarks rule at the company.

Olga is not a scientist. She is like an accountant here But wishes she could go back to her real passion.

I have two questions.

First one being. Dose Becky most likely or definitely has to hide her physical discomfort or disgust when ever she sees modern society’s popular words that are used in slang. You know. “It’s fire.” “That was lit.” “Gucci”or “eh yo.” Or even abbreviations. “Omg. Wtf.” And so on and so forth?

because I ask because it’s sort of a running gag in the main show that when ever she hears a word mispronounced she immediately makes a disgusted noise and expression.

Side question: is that a common thing among her people?

My Second question is about another running gag in the show, Becky is extremely terrible at everything that doesn’t have to do with defending words or more specifically she is utterly terrible at anything creative like dancing, painting, singing. Is that also common among her people?

There is an old short somewhere on YouTube where Becky and Violet are painting a tree in art class and Becky’s portrait is just the definition of the word tree. It’s actually kind of hilarious!

1. Mostly not. She is okay with slang and recognizes that as a normal part of human language But chooses not to partake in it. She will type in perfect grammar to her friends over text and will not correct them if they get something wrong as to not come off as overbearing. The only thing that she hides her disgust for is foul language.. Which she will never use.

Lexiconians are known for their proficiency in learning foreign languages and gathering information incredibly quick. Her people are very proud of this and that can manifest in the overcorrection of others.

2. Lexiconians are bad at art. All of them. Not only do they not understand it very well But they actively choose not to do it. Lexiconians are literal-minded and relegate any form of creative work to the primates and aliens who work on their planet (Like the statues in Beckys ship or the mural).

The reason why they like reading is because it is not written by them. They seek knowledge but they do not create it. Thats what makes humans special.

Why does Theo loathe his dad, Tobey

He has a lot of reasons.

He despises his human side which is the majority of him. Due in part to growing up around alien xenophobia directed towards him and his brother/friends. His human side never allowed him to defend himself like his brother could.

Becky and Tobey are busy fulfilling their own roles outside of parenting. They turned a blind eye to the suffering of aliens on Earth because there is so much happening outside of the planet. Ezra is also coddled due to having powers and trying to keep him out of sight which kept Theo in the shadows as well despite outwardly appearing as a mostly normal albeit edgy child.

Theodore is also a clone created from using two very different species of DNA. Meaning his development is stunted and also hormonally nonsensical. As he ages this becomes more obvious to him and his body goes through disturbing changes. He blames his fathers selfishness for creating him and vows to make him hate his own body as much as he does his.

Tobey created him. Not Becky. The blame for his existence falls on him.

I have a lot of lore for this guy despite Final Definition not being close to finishing. He is supposed to be the polar opposite of his brother Ezra and an example for the Nature V. Nurture argument. Becky expected Ezra to become a monster (due to his parents origins) when she should have suspected the more “human” one.

Okay, I feel like I’m going to regret asking but what is the backstory behind each of the alternate versions of Becky?

Like what did each of them do exactly to their villains and their partners? Or even Tj?

You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.

Skinned: “Becky” who never left Lexicon. Wont explain why she is skinned since that is spoilers for the comic. Hatred of humans (they look like mimic Lexiconians) and very paranoid.

Predator: Alternate FD timeline where Tobey does something bad to Becky, she snaps and eats him. Wont go into detail because it is an upcoming event that was mostly avoided in the main timeline. There is no “Becky” left in her anymore. A taste for humans.

AmazoGirl: Timeline in which she joins her kind to take over Earth. Wont explain why or how she joins for spoiler reasons. She is militaristic and serious.

GirlMath: Universe where Becky and Huggy crash land on Hexagon instead of *Earth. Raised alongside Rex and sent to Earth together. Their poor social skills caused destruction of the planet. Overly positive to a fault and unaware of suffering. Math puns.

PowerGirl: “The Rise of Miss Power” if Becky was convinced as a child to take over the planet alongside Miss Power in the movie. She eventually betrays Power and takes her place as ruler of Earth. Essentially a mini version of Power and raised to be just like her.

Most of these universes she either doesnt meet the Botsfords or she is cut off from them in some way that strays her path.

Tobeys fate in most of these timelines is also not great.
